HANS IM GLÜCK - HAMBURG Harburg in Hamburg

Too expensive!!!! 25-30€ for a burger with fries and a soft drink is completely overpriced...who can still afford that??? I used to enjoy going to Hans im Glück, but that's far too expensive for me... The burgers are otherwise ok, the drink selection is good. But value for money is poor...

I had dinner with my girlfriend on a Sunday lunchtime at Hans im Glück, which is right next to the Cinemaxx. As part of the lunch offer, we were able to get a cold drink, a hot drink, a burger and a side dish relatively cheaply (around 20 euros, depending on the burger you choose). We actually found the combination of the burgers creative - it rarely happens to me that I can't decide. There were also many vegetarian and vegan options. The in-house iced teas and refreshments are really delicious. The ambience was wonderful, only the benches are so moderately comfortable.

We were there with 6 girls. We reserved a table in advance. When we got there, the table was dirty and used napkins were still lying around. The food was good. Service: The young man was friendly. Shortly before 10 p.m. the young man arrived and asked if he could cash in on us since they were closing soon. (We stayed up until 11 p.m.). At a quarter past 10 another employee came and asked us to finish our drinks and leave. We had the feeling of being thrown out a bit. So we didn't feel very comfortable there. For dessert: on the The menu says grandma's secret with vanilla ice cream, we got strawberry ice cream (you could have said that when ordering).

I think the restaurant is beautifully decorated. The food was ok. However the service was really bad. Not rude but the opposite of good service. There was no tip

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with our visit to the Hans im Glück Restaurant on Saturday evening. At first the hot drinks came to the table cold - after our complaint they were served new and hot, which we would like to note positively. The food itself tasted good, but my wife's burger was also cold. After another complaint, the new burger only arrived 10 minutes later. Meanwhile, our table was completely ignored - even though we would have liked to have another drink. The waiters seemed to prefer to be on their cell phones, standing in groups chatting or going out for smokes. When we finally wanted to pay we had to go to the bar to get attention. Paying also took a long time, and when we politely raised the issues, we received the answer: “It’s just a Saturday.” This reaction was very disappointing and unprofessional for us. We had the impression that the service was overwhelmed or simply disinterested on such a busy evening. It's a shame, because the food had potential. A little more attention and friendliness would have made the evening much more pleasant.

Opening times until 9:00 p.m....however the kitchen is only open until 8:00 p.m....we were sent straight home at the door.

Unfortunately, even though the store wasn't really full, the service wasn't very attentive. We had to wait a long time before we could place our order, and after placing it it took forever until we had our drinks. The burgers looked more like they had been warmed up in the microwave and were simply too expensive from that point of view.

I find the food carelessly prepared and the burgers very small. The taste is not really convincing and in my opinion it is too expensive. Drinks were mixed up with the guests when they were delivered to the table (with and without alcohol). When I paid, I was told a higher amount, so I rounded it up and therefore paid a tip that was too high. Unfortunately, this was only noticed on the receipt when I got home. I feel ripped off.

Very unfortunate, burger was very disgusting. Service was neither attentive nor in any way accommodating. We were simply handed the bill. Burger was barely touched. The menu also doesn't list all the ingredients that go into the burger. At the same time, a celebration was continued by a very loud and disruptive group of screaming women. For whatever reason! Extremely disturbing, a little information for the guests would have been nice. All just a bad experience. And all the fun ended up costing €50. Wonderful!

The two of us were there on Saturday afternoon. It took another 20 minutes until we were brought to the table, another 20 minutes passed before a waiter came. Then a waitress who was already off work came and took the order. We waited 20 minutes for the drinks. It's normal for the food to take, unfortunately the burger was cold. My companion had to wait 30 minutes for his beer. Ambiance is nice but they have to add waiters/waitresses on the weekends. 1 and last time

I had the warm house bread, which turned out to be bone-dry chewy sticks. I had 4 of these rods which as I said were very hard and dry. I had imagined something different when it came to home-made bread. Too bad

The service seemed stressed, even though there were only a few visitors there. One glass wasn't clean, so one guest preferred to drink from the bottle (didn't want to point this out to the waitress because of the first sentence of this review). The kitchen didn't have an egg, so a burger had to be changed in the order - it can happen, but in the grand scheme of things I'll mention it. We had cow's milk instead of oat drink in the L. Macchiato. This was exchanged, but the new glass was only 2/3 full of foam and there was almost no oat drink in it - annoying. Dessert was a long time coming, so we remembered at some point. He then followed within 5 minutes, whereby we received the wrong dessert for one guest and he had to wait again. At least another guest, who didn't actually want to order dessert, was able to pick up the wrong dessert for free. The ambience is okay - burger joint in a nice location, you don't expect much. What annoyed me was that they could have pens or something small for very young guests - but at least a nice word or something else, as is usual in other restaurants. The little one was ignored AT ALL, not a single word. On the contrary: the guests at the table opposite were upset about the high chair, which could only be in the aisle (I had reserved the table and chair two weeks before) - but the restaurant can't do anything about that. Worst of all, you should probably wear chef's hats in the kitchen so that as a guest you don't suddenly have a foreign hair in your mouth that was in the burger - I'm sorry: that's not possible, the lady is very disgusted about this and couldn't eat any more. Our visit was supposed to be a convivial family dinner for my birthday, and unfortunately that fell through completely - that made me uncomfortable and pretty much ruined my evening. Since this was the second visit here, the first one a few months ago wasn't perfect, but it was okay and at least clean, we won't be going here again. There were seven of us, I paid about 25 euros per person and a 10 euro tip, so it's not exactly cheap in terms of price, I don't have anything to complain about, but it's absolutely within reason. Since we left the restaurant early without any more drinks, the price obviously seemed cheaper. All in all, a few incidents reduce the overall result to one star; there was simply too much negative attention for a better rating - a shame. Nevertheless, I tried to evaluate it as soberly and neutrally as possible.

Unfortunately, I had at least 5 ants in my cocktail that were just swimming - visible - on the top of the drink. I think finding ants in your drink in winter in Germany is a very bad sign. We left because there might be some unclean work in the kitchen and we didn't want to take any risks. Apart from that - nice atmosphere and nice service.

Tastes okay, the price is juicier than the burgers. Oven warm bread is 4 small sticks for €6 with a dip. I find it cheeky. Went there with a colleague and only got moderately full afterwards. The portion of fries was small and also extremely expensive. Double-decker burger for almost €20, way too expensive. If you want to eat for a little more money, you'd better go to Dullfs and experience what a good burger can do. Hans in luck, never again 👍 Left there with a tip of €60 and didn't even get full.

Yes, a burger restaurant... Majo and co are on the tables. The service was nice and attentive. The selection of breads and ingredients on the menu is a bit confusing. Regular fries were sold out, but unfortunately sweet potato fries were only offered at a higher price. Great cocktails, mixes were very good.

Food was ok to good. There was already something going on at lunchtime but you still got a table without a reservation. The service that day was very unfriendly and could not answer specific questions about the preparation of the food.

The sodas and cocktails are very good. The kitchen was closed at 9 p.m. At 9:30 p.m. we were charged for our drinks because it was closing soon. Weak for a Saturday and especially when you're right next to the cinema...

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right here. Unfortunately, I think the prices quoted here are a bit too high for a franchise restaurant where you only get frozen burger patties. This means you only get the meat completely cooked through. I would have expected something different given the prices. The service was excellent and very friendly.

It was my first time there, great feel-good atmosphere, food (cheeseburger) was very tasty and the service was incredibly friendly! I would love to go there again!

They tried but couldn't make it happen. The employees were very nice and friendly but some were slightly overwhelmed. I had burger bacon and cheese. The meat was well cooked. That was the best thing. The rest wasn't tasty and especially not cooked through. There were six of us and we all had the same opinion. Service staff ok but not good. The food wasn't that good at all.

Employees a bit overwhelmed, too few staff. . Food arrived very quickly. Unfortunately the ambience isn't that great. Entrance area dirty, shop windows as well. There was a tomato stuck to the floor under the table we had. And there wasn't really much going on that Saturday.

We occasionally stop by “Hans im Glück” before or after going to the cinema. The restaurant is ok, the service does its best - but the spark doesn't really fly.

Freundliche Mitarbeiter, leckeres, abwechslungsreiches Essen und es gibt sogar veganen Nachtisch! (Da muss man sonst leider meistens zuschauen). Außerdem darf man selbst entscheiden wieviel Ketchup oder Mayo man zu seinen Pommes haben möchte (btw. zZ. die beste vegane Mayo auf dem Markt und sogar für Zuhause bestellbar - Daumen hoch!). Die veganen Burger sind so gut, dass mein Vater seit er mal einen probierte keinen anderen hier mehr isst. Selbst unserem Hund wird etwas zu trinken angeboten. Definitive Weiterempfehlung!

Das Essen war lecker und wurde schnell serviert . Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich man wurde sofort begrüßt beim betreten des Restaurant und man durfte sich ein Platz aus suchen da es noch nicht so voll war. Da wurde ich wieder hin gehen wenn ich in Hamburg bin.

Im Prinzip sehr lecker, aber schmeckt halt wie überall gleich!!! Aber für den Preis war weniger pommes als sonst auf dem Teller.

Ich war mit meinen drei Neffen am 15.12.24 bei euch Burger essen mit tolle Cocktails. Wir hatten eine sehr liebe Bedienung mit Namen Eileen, die uns wunderbare Empfehlungen ausgesprochen hat. Danke für die schöne Zeit bei euch. Sie bat um eine Rückmeldung, was ich hiermit sehr gerne mache. Ich wünsche ihr alles Gute :-)

Super eingerichtet, leckere Burger und Cocktails. Man sollte reservieren, es ist recht voll. Freundliche Mitarbeiter, die bestellten Gerichte wurden schnell an den Tisch gebracht. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

An sich ein nettes Restaurant und eine freundliche, sehr bemühte Bedienung. Aber die auf der Website aufgeführten Aktionen, sollten dem Personal eigentlich mitgeteilt werden oder bekannt sein. Wir waren nach 20:00 Uhr da, leider gab es für uns keinen Happy Hour Preis auf die Cocktails, weil davon schlicht niemand wusste 🤷🏼‍♂️ Schade!

Passt auf die Preise auf, in der Karte sind die Preise 2 - 3€ günstiger als später im System berechnet. Aber auf Nachfrage wurde die Differenz ohne Probleme zurück gezahlt. Danke Eileen für die freundliche Bedienung

Wir hatten in einer kleinen Männerrunde einen sehr schönen Abend mit leckeren Burgern, Drinks und Bier. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und wäre gerne noch eine Stunde länger geblieben, wenn denn bis 23 Uhr geöffnet gewesen wäre :) Eileen als Servicekraft war sehr aufmerksam und freundlichen. Wir wurden direkt super freundlich und zuvorkommend von Paul empfangen. Die Atmosphäre war super und Paul sehr aufmerksam, sodass wir sofort bedient wurden. Das Essen kam unglaublich schnell und hat echt lecker geschmeckt. Wir kommen definiv wieder!

Leo hat uns heute bedient, er war sehr nett und hat uns bestens umsorgt. Das Essen war top und wir würden definitiv wiederkommen!

Ich war mit 2 Freundinnen hier und der Service war wirklich super! Das Essen kam schnell und war sehr lecker. Unsere Bedienung Anna sowie die Bartender waren super zuvorkommend und höflich. Ich kann das Restaurant mehr als empfehlen! Alles in allem eine super Erfahrung und wir kommen gerne immer wieder hier her.
