Amazing mixed appetizer platter, köfte as a fantastic main course.

A friend introduced me to Pera Mezze, and we've been absolutely hooked ever since. The mezze selection is simply amazing every time, the service is always warm and friendly, and the decor is very tasteful. The takeaway is also highly recommended!

Amazing food. Truly could not have been better. Only drawback is the very small space and the way your clothes smell when you leave because of the open grill and some poor ventilation it got pretty smoky.

The ambiance is lovely, and one of the staff members—an older gentleman—was incredibly warm and welcoming. He even brought us chocolate with the bill to help with the spiciness, a very kind gesture. Unfortunately, the experience with the owner (or manager?) was the complete opposite. We ordered "Mama Meatball," which was described on the menu as "in tomato sauce," but it arrived with chili and was extremely spicy—unpalatable for us. When we pointed this out, he denied it was spicy, our explanations were met with derision, and when we asked for water, we were given tap water. Taste is subjective, but dismissing a guest's perception is unprofessional. Without the kind older gentleman, my rating would be significantly lower. The ambiance is nice, and one of the staff members—an older gentleman—was incredibly warm and hospitable. He even brought chocolate with the bill to help with the spiciness, such a sweet gesture. Unfortunately, the experience with another staff member (possibly the owner?) was the complete opposite. We ordered "Anne Köftesi" listed as being in tomato sauce, but it came with chili and was extremely spicy. When we mentioned this, we were told it wasn't spicy, our explanations were laughed off, and when we asked for water, we were brought tap water. Taste is subjective, but dismissing a customer's experience isn't professional. Without that kind gentleman, my rating would be much lower.

Pera Mezze – outstanding appetizers and main courses with a special flair. The selection of meze is diverse and generous, and the flavors are consistently fantastic. The octopus, in particular, is delicately seasoned and cooked to perfection. The value for money is excellent. The modern decor fits perfectly into the neighborhood and completes the overall dining experience. Highly recommended.

Excellent Turkish Mediterranean food. Great combinations. Prices are certainly on the higher end for a simple restaurant. The waiters and chefs are very friendly and polite.

I walked in on a whim and was served the most wonderful meze. The pointed cabbage is especially delicious. Definitely try the dessert with pear and semolina dumplings too! Yes, it's pricey, but you can taste the quality in the concept and the ingredients!

I discovered this bistro by chance and it was a real surprise! Tasty, varied, and excellent quality food. From the open kitchen, you can see the love they put into preparing each dish. Excellent! I'll definitely be back!

A small, pretty restaurant with incredibly friendly staff. You feel absolutely welcome. It's a bit cramped, and we were seated at a table with two lovely Munich ladies. This didn't spoil our evening, but it might not be for everyone. The food was delicious, and we received excellent advice on our choices. Highly recommended.

We had lunch here yesterday and were very impressed. We didn't have a reservation, but we were able to get a table. The entire staff was extremely friendly, and we felt very welcome. We've rarely been served so kindly in other restaurants. The food was delicious. The mixed starter included octopus and shrimp. The wine recommendation was also exactly to our taste. The entire atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant and relaxed. We'll be back soon.

I'm thrilled with this little bistro in downtown Munich. All the dishes were a true taste experience, and the hummus and falafel were the best I've ever eaten. I'll definitely stop by here every time I visit Munich. Highly recommended. The service and ambiance were also very good.

Pera Meze is closely connected to our absolute favorite restaurant, Pageou – one could call it its "little brother" without exaggeration. Not only in terms of family roots, but also in terms of cuisine. Two different places – but both share the same mission: to make us completely happy.

Yesterday, I happened to pass by and stopped to ask for three seats. And then spent a wonderful 1.5 hours there. Three different appetizers: Braised pointed cabbage Falafel with beetroot and yogurt Stuffed eggplant Simply delicious 🙂‍↔️ The service was friendly, super nice, a place I'd love to return to. We waited a very, very long time for our food, and the service was very poor. The woman next to us had her bare, dirty feet propped up on a chair at our table. None of the waiters asked her to take them off the chair.

I've been here a few times now, just spontaneously for a late afternoon drink and a snack, and I have to say, what I like best is the incredibly friendly staff. They make everything possible, offering drink and food recommendations and customizations in a super relaxed manner, always with a smile and a good joke. The atmosphere and outdoor area are great. You can tell it's popular, as it's fully booked in the evening.

Wonderful little restaurant with many delicious dishes and friendly staff

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at this restaurant was deeply upsetting. From the start, the service was shockingly rude. When we had some questions about an item in the menu, the server was impatient and irritable and did not clarify an item properly, which resulted in us being double-charged. When we tried to explain the misunderstanding, the manager snapped at us, showing no willingness to listen or help resolve the issue. In the end, we paid twice the amount we were expecting and left feeling bullied and disrespected.

The best pide and the most delicious eggplants anywhere! The octopus is even better than in many top restaurants in Munich – highly recommended.

We go there with our family every now and then, and the food is incredibly delicious (even our very picky son finds something there)! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. You don't find that often in Munich!

Everything was so good and perfectly balanced. The salmon sashimi and beet dish were incredible. A pleasant surprise to stumble in here on a rainy day.

Wonderfully fresh cuisine with a sense of hospitality 👍 a relaxed atmosphere, as if you were eating with friends. Great service, staff, and food. I had the vegetarian meze (also works for one person).

Super delicious, but also pretty steep prices. What's missing is a lunch special. I would stop here very often for lunch if I could get something to eat and a small drink for €14 (or €16 including tip). I would also pick something up very often if it were only €10 or less. Neither of these is available, so unfortunately I'm only here once a quarter instead of once a week. If one of these options comes along and I hear about it, I'll stop by regularly.

I’ve passed by this place many times, and I’m glad I finally stopped in - I won’t just be passing by anymore. Highly recommended! First of all, the food and the people are amazing. It’s a very cozy spot with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. They also have a space for cooking workshops, and it’s possible to rent the place for private events.

If you like quality over quantity and are not put off by the simple decor, you will get a fantastic meal here, freshly made and very, very tasty

For lunch, we head to the Pera Meze restaurant, where Ali Güngoermues serves exceptional Levantine flavors: extraordinarily delicate, Mediterranean, and oriental. We order Mama's Köfte – beef fillet with tomato sauce and bulgur. Only the best of simple, high-quality ingredients. Herbs and spices give the dish an excellent, distinctive flavor and depth. To accompany this savory meal, we order the typical national drink, ayran, a salty, chilled yogurt drink. Very healthy! Ideal for hot summer days. The wait staff are charming and attentive, patiently explaining the various combinations of the dishes upon request.

This was our first stop on a city trip to Munich. The food was excellent. The meze was a bit too large for us smaller eaters (seniors), but perfect for the average person. The service was very friendly, courteous, and flexible. The snack bar is small and functionally furnished. The ambiance is OK for the restaurant's purpose. The food was amazing; I haven't had such good vegetarian food in a long time! What's absolutely unacceptable is the restroom. It's outside the restaurant, in the building next door, and the room—well, okay. It doesn't match the excellent cuisine or the overall ambiance at all.

Delicious Turkish food with a creative touch. Mezes were great, I also loved the falafel plate with avocado and beetroot.

A restaurant at Ikea level. You are immediately called on your first name. And like Ikea, the bill ends up being relatively high. The food was well balanced with spices, but given the prices, I don't like sharing my table with strangers. There was a lot of coming and going at our table throughout the evening. This is actually a Turkish snack bar. New guests were sent directly to our table. You can get the chickpea curry from any Indian restaurant for half the price. The Indians are not stingy with their rice either. You can get it here in a bowl with a maximum diameter of 5 cm. Here you pay for the name Güngörmüs...but the food is just high-quality snack food. At these prices, I don't want to be called by my name or have other guests at my table. Therefore only two stars for service and ambience. Not worth visiting again because as a guest I want to be taken seriously at these prices.

Wir waren heute zum zweiten Mal bei Pera Meze und ich muss sagen, dass unsere Erwartungen in jeder Hinsicht wieder erfüllt wurden!!! Das Essen war einfach köstlich und manche Meze waren sogar besser als die, die ich in der Türkei gegessen haben (und ich fliege oft in die Türkei). Very tasty food and a very nice atmosphere!

We stopped here on our last day in Munich, and we wished we had eaten there every day! I had the coconut pumpkin soup with vegetables, a Negroni, and an espresso cocktail. The soup was amazing and so were the drinks. My husband and my sister loved their meals as well. The presentation of the meals was beautiful, and the flavors were amazing. Everyone was helpful and kind, and It was a wonderful experience.

It was a great experience with very good food, really nice and very personal. We felt very comfortable and will be back!

We have been different fans of Ali Güngörmüs since the first broadcast of the Kochs show. Now, during a stay in Munich, we finally had the opportunity to visit one of his restaurants, the Pera Meze. We were greeted very friendly and luckily got a seat straight away. The food, stuffed eggplant, was super tasty and very nicely prepared. The homemade lemonade was also very tasty. Our expectations were fully met and we would be happy to come back at any time. Until then, we will definitely remain fans of Kochs anders. Thank you for the lovely and tasty stay.

I have multiple groups of people to this restaurant for the pure fact that it is absolutely fantastic every single person that I have taken here in the last six months have been raving about this place ever since! The food, wine, service, the ambience is spot on! The culinary experience sets a new standard in Munich and the Turkish culture…. The owner has incorporated family recipes and secrets and have truly done this VERY well!

Last week I was with a friend about 30 minutes before the end and I was/was more than thrilled in many ways: 1. Insanely nice/friendly/courteous people (cook, waitress, etc.) - humanity and service are really lived here 2. Insanely delicious food (Brussels sprouts with black garlic were amazing!) 3. Insanely great atmosphere (which comes from the decor and the super nice and relaxed nature of the people there) If you're ever in the Glockenbachviertel, you should definitely stop by here - you won't regret it!

You sit nicely. You might think you were sitting in a chic post-industrial atmosphere in Berlin-Mitte. You are only a few steps away from the Viktualienmarkt, in the center of Munich. And you eat excellently. The marinated tuna was amazing, the starter plate was delicious. The service under the direction of Can Güngörmüs: Perfect, quick, friendly and attentive. Turkish cuisine with magical influences from East and West, beautiful aesthetic preparation that would also be an enrichment on the Bosphorus!

The food was good, nicely prepared but not outstanding (we've had better hummus and couscous salad). The bean salad and the eggplant were delicious. What we didn't like at all was the annoyed and stressed boss, who came across as arrogant. Even though we had nothing to complain about, he responded to questions in a sloppy and arrogant manner. Rudeness is one thing, but we were ignored several times whether we had ordered bread or drinks. We ended up leaving without our espresso. We liked the atmosphere, but it couldn't make up for the unsympathetic nature of the owner. All in all, I didn't like it, so I won't come back and won't recommend it to others.
