Pera Meze in München

Ein Städtetrip nach München war dies unser erstes Ziel. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Das Meze für uns klein Esser (Senioren) etwas zu gross aber für den Normale Personen perfekt. Service sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und flexible. Der Imbis ist klein und Zweckmässig eingerichtet. Das Ambiente für den Zweck des Lokal OK. Man kann draussen sitzen ohne zuviel Autolärm.

Turkish food well prepared. The very moment you get into the place you are in a full immersion of scent of food! Roasted peppers, bread, grilled onions. All is superlatively ready and cooked. Restroom is clean and is just next door, need to ask for key to cashier. Wonderful menu, only in German, get ready with google translate! Hope will have chance to get back, people here are very friendly.

Food was very tasty. Service friendly and quick. Toilet (very small) is outside the restaurant. Ambiance: outdated, worn, very narrow and the table is too low if you sit on the windowsill.

A restaurant at Ikea level. You are immediately called on your first name. And like Ikea, the bill ends up being relatively high. The food was well balanced with spices, but given the prices, I don't like sharing my table with strangers. There was a lot of coming and going at our table throughout the evening. This is actually a Turkish snack bar. New guests were sent directly to our table. You can get the chickpea curry from any Indian restaurant for half the price. The Indians are not stingy with their rice either. You can get it here in a bowl with a maximum diameter of 5 cm. Here you pay for the name Güngörmüs...but the food is just high-quality snack food. At these prices, I don't want to be called by my name or have other guests at my table. Therefore only two stars for service and ambience. Not worth visiting again because as a guest I want to be taken seriously at these prices.

Wir waren heute zum zweiten Mal bei Pera Meze und ich muss sagen, dass unsere Erwartungen in jeder Hinsicht wieder erfüllt wurden!!! Das Essen war einfach köstlich und manche Meze waren sogar besser als die, die ich in der Türkei gegessen haben (und ich fliege oft in die Türkei). Das Team ist herzlich, freundlich und sehr sympathisch!!! Kolay gelsin an alle und bis bald!!!

Was there for the first time and definitely not the last time!! The cauliflower soup with shrimp, snow peas and coriander is amazing to eat. The stuffed eggplant is also highly recommended!!

A wonderful daytime bistro with excellent food and very good service. For sun seekers and fresh air fans, there is a little space outside by the window. Reservations are also possible...I can absolutely recommend this restaurant. 👍👍👍

Very tasty food and a very nice atmosphere!

We stopped here on our last day in Munich, and we wished we had eaten there every day! I had the coconut pumpkin soup with vegetables, a Negroni, and an espresso cocktail. The soup was amazing and so were the drinks. My husband and my sister loved their meals as well. The presentation of the meals was beautiful, and the flavors were amazing. Everyone was helpful and kind, and It was a wonderful experience.

It was a great experience with very good food, really nice and very personal. We felt very comfortable and will be back!

We have been different fans of Ali Güngörmüs since the first broadcast of the Kochs show. Now, during a stay in Munich, we finally had the opportunity to visit one of his restaurants, the Pera Meze. We were greeted very friendly and luckily got a seat straight away. The food, stuffed eggplant, was super tasty and very nicely prepared. The homemade lemonade was also very tasty. Our expectations were fully met and we would be happy to come back at any time. Until then, we will definitely remain fans of Kochs anders. Thank you for the lovely and tasty stay.

I am thrilled with this restaurant. It's been a long time since I've been served as kindly as Ali's brother. My meal, pulpo with vegetables, was a delight. The wine, optimally chilled and delicious. The other guests were very pleasant. Thanks!

I have multiple groups of people to this restaurant for the pure fact that it is absolutely fantastic every single person that I have taken here in the last six months have been raving about this place ever since! The food, wine, service, the ambience is spot on! The culinary experience sets a new standard in Munich and the Turkish culture…. The owner has incorporated family recipes and secrets and have truly done this VERY well!

Last week I was with a friend about 30 minutes before the end and I was/was more than thrilled in many ways: 1. Insanely nice/friendly/courteous people (cook, waitress, etc.) - humanity and service are really lived here 2. Insanely delicious food (Brussels sprouts with black garlic were amazing!) 3. Insanely great atmosphere (which comes from the decor and the super nice and relaxed nature of the people there) If you're ever in the Glockenbachviertel, you should definitely stop by here - you won't regret it!

You sit nicely. You might think you were sitting in a chic post-industrial atmosphere in Berlin-Mitte. You are only a few steps away from the Viktualienmarkt, in the center of Munich. And you eat excellently. The marinated tuna was amazing, the starter plate was delicious. The service under the direction of Can Güngörmüs: Perfect, quick, friendly and attentive. Turkish cuisine with magical influences from East and West, beautiful aesthetic preparation that would also be an enrichment on the Bosphorus!

The food was good, nicely prepared but not outstanding (we've had better hummus and couscous salad). The bean salad and the eggplant were delicious. What we didn't like at all was the annoyed and stressed boss, who came across as arrogant. Even though we had nothing to complain about, he responded to questions in a sloppy and arrogant manner. Rudeness is one thing, but we were ignored several times whether we had ordered bread or drinks. We ended up leaving without our espresso. We liked the atmosphere, but it couldn't make up for the unsympathetic nature of the owner. All in all, I didn't like it, so I won't come back and won't recommend it to others.

As someone who has lived in Turkey and tasted and known the mezes in Hatay, I can say that the price-performance ratio of the standard meze bowl they recommend (I preferred the meatless one) is bad. What's boiled potatoes doing in the appetizer bowl? On the other hand, they admire the appearance of the plates. I guess it's a family business. Because the appetizers of a professional meze master will be different. As a Turk, I find it very sad that Turkish restaurants in Munich cannot come close to the level of Turkey.

The quality and taste of the food is outstanding here, it tastes as original as in Turkey. What wasn't so nice is that the chef constantly licked his fingers while serving and treated himself to small bites from the counter and then continued to prepare the dish - an absolute no-go!

Bonito lugar con muy buena comida. El espacio (interior y exterior) es muy limitado, se recomienda reservar. Los platos son muy buenos. El menú tiene una pequeña gama de opciones, con selecciones de carne, pescado y verduras. Los platos están hechos a pedido con ingredientes frescos. Son sabrosos pero bien equilibrados y tienen una mezcla de diferentes texturas (algunos crujientes, otros suaves, ... ). El tamaño de la porción es bueno, un solo plato es un plato principal satisfactorio para 1 persona si no se comparte. Los premios están justificados. A petición, se pueden realizar algunas modificaciones en el plato en caso de necesidades dietéticas. Como tuve que omitir el aderezo de yogur me dieron una pequeña porción de humus a mi plato, que aprecio mucho. Buen servicio al cliente! Es una empresa muy pequeña con un pequeño grupo de personal de cocina y servicio, por lo que puede suceder que las cosas lleven algún tiempo. Pero todos los camareros son muy amables y atentos, responden a todas las preguntas con paciencia y en general es un ambiente relajado. Muy buen lugar para relajarse.

Nice place with very good food. Space (indoors & outdoors) is very limited, booking is recommended. The dishes are very good. The menu has a small range of options, with meat, fish and veggie selections. The dishes are made to order with fresh ingredients. They are flavorful yet well balanced and have a mix of different textures (some crispy bits, some soft, …). Portion size is good, a single dish makes a satisfying main for 1 person if it isn‘t shared. Prizes are justified. Upon request, some alterations to the dish can be made in case of dietary requirements. As I had to omit the yoghurt dressing I was given a small side serving of humus to my dish, which I highly appreciated. Good customer service! It‘s a very small business with a small group of kitchen and service staff, so it might happen things take some time. But all waiters are very friendly and attentive, answer all questions patiently and all in all it is a relaxed atmosphere. Very good place to unwind.

Disastrous value for money!! Ordered a starter for €16 and ended up paying €32 because the menu said “à” in small letters and the price was €16 per person! For a few forkfuls of mezze! Borders on fraud!

This borders on an attempt at fraud, not putting the price for a starter plate for 2 on the menu, but instead writing €15.90. It is a small plate, so it costs €32. An absolute disgrace.

Exceptionally friendly service, very communicative. Food mostly vegetarian, excellent hummus, grilled octopus also highly recommended. When we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back for dinner.

Finally got a spot spontaneously, so far it has always been full! And what an experience, the staff is beaming & the food is to die for! Gladly again, you can endure it here. Will probably visit the associated cooking school soon :)

Fabulous meze, definitely not to be beaten. The prawns were crispy, juicy and flavourful, with a sauce that harmonized perfectly. Also possibly the best hummus in Munich! Friendly staff. The place is a bit cramped, but comfortable.

A friend and I spontaneously came over for brunch and got a seat in the small but beautifully, comfortably furnished restaurant. We shared mixed meze and a sweet recommendation for dessert and found both very tasty. The service was so attentive and the coffee was very good too! Only the portion could have been a little larger for the price. But I'll definitely be back⭐️
