A small, great shop with a lot of charm! The currywurst is simply great – perfectly seasoned and really tasty. There is also a good selection of wines to round it all off. What more could you want? A real insider tip that we are happy to recommend!

The store was well attended, which speaks for its popularity. The currywurst deserves a particularly positive mention – it was really delicious. Visually, the store makes a decent impression, but could be decorated a little more lovingly here and there. A small point of criticism: Unfortunately, the tables were not cleared promptly; there were still glasses and leftover food from the previous guests on our table. Overall, the visit was satisfactory and the food was convincing.

We tried currywurst and potatoes. It was the best thing I tried in Germany. We ordered wine with it. The wine list is quite extensive and nice. It should be noted that this is self-service. This can lead to confusion in the restaurant, but the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff make up for this shortcoming.

Dear readers and everyone in between, I would like to inform you about the French Fries & Wine Pelican Fly in Düsseldorf. As an experienced connoisseur, I have often had the pleasure of eating and drinking in all kinds of restaurants. I have rarely been so positively surprised. The wine list was varied and inexpensive, so the relatively cheap food was a dance of joy on my taste buds. The extremely polite waitress, who was always right there, took great care of me and my extra. We felt just as comfortable with the warm, cozy atmosphere of the Gammeltraubensaft shop. This was our second time eating there. The fries were totally over salted. We give the currywurst 7 out of 10 points. The ambience is quite nice, especially the Christmas decorations. The service is also friendly.

Cool location. We were invited to a birthday party and it was really a great atmosphere. The DJ did a great job and the service made an effort. The guests had a lot of fun and danced really well to the music. You could choose whatever food you wanted. It was a successful evening all around

Maybe it's supposed to be "cool" these days if you're just called by a waitress who's just over 18 years old, but then I can eat the sausage at any normal snack bar around the corner and then there's cola and no Wine. Rooms...the heating seemed to be on economy mode, the fries and the currywurst were generally average, only the prices were “fancy”. Price top, quality average, service if you like it...

I was there at lunchtime and wanted some small fries. However, for 3.50 euros I received a huge portion. Very, very tasty... just like fries should be... While I was waiting I was able to examine the inside and that makes me want to enjoy an evening there with a glass of wine.

Wurde gestern von einem Freund dorthin eingeladen. Der Laden ist schön,hipp,gute Musik, nettes Personal,guter Wein, aber gesalzene Preise und das Essen nicht so toll. Ungesalzene Pommes, der Krautsalat ging gar nicht da schmeckt mir der aus dem Supermarkt besser. Die Currywurst habe ich auch schon bessere gegessen. Die Location an sich und die Idee finde ich gut,aber die Preise überzogen und der Geschmack von den Speisen könnte besser sein. Der Laden läuft wohl gut, aber für meinen Geschmack ist es zu laut darin und die Preise und Essen verbesserungswürdig.ich werde dort definitiv nicht mehr hin gehen.

The name sums it all up. The wine selection gives the restaurant a clear unique selling point. The entire ambience is harmonious and there are even mats on the benches outside so that no one gets a cold bottom.

Great food, great drinks. Great music with DJ. They even hosted a wedding reception while we were there. Always full and it's understandable why. 10/10

Never knew wine could go so well with fries and currywurst. I like the fact that you have to go to the bar to order, which saves time. The wine selection is good and the food is tasty. Payment by card is possible, same for the tip. Things were clean and the atmosphere is great.

The staff was very pleasant. The place is clean and welcoming. Food wise the curry wurst mit pommes was excellent (you cannot be wrong when you use fresh fries). There's a nice selection of wines (around 12) and some beers NB there's some kind of deposit for wine glasses that you get back when you bring back the glass

Immer wieder lecker, aber 9€ für eine Currywurst mit Pommes ist auch ein stolzer Preis. Würde nicht immer wieder hin gehen, wenn die nicht schmecken würde

The chips and wine is the perfect place to spend a nice evening. The concept is cool: good wine with appropriate advice and little things to eat. It's not just fries, Currywurst lovers and people who like fried classics (e.g. Bami slice) will also get their money's worth here. You can get the wine with the glasses for a deposit. There are also various themed evenings, such as hip hop music. The atmosphere is really nice and central to the city.

Food was good, service was very nice. Unfortunately not my thing, I'd rather go to a real restaurant.

Good atmosphere, centrally located, fast service. I think the prices are reasonable, the portion of fries for €3.50 was even larger than expected. The employees really often looked around to take away empty glasses and plates and asked if everything was okay. The operators can't help it because it's so full and you have to get a seat because the outdoor space is already fully utilized.

Chill place, nice to hang out on the patio on a warm night. The staff were friendly and gave options for wine based on desired texture/flavour. For food, I had only the Halloumi cheese but the price was fair and the taste was excellent.

A nice welcoming restaurant for Currywurst. I had the vegetarian/ vegan option and it was lovely. Could have had a bit more curry but good taste and wonderfully cooked chips.

Cool wine experience shop in a top location. Fries and various (very tasty dips) for snacking, among other things. Pair perfectly with the fantastic wine selection. Uncomplicated, stylish place to enjoy. My wife and I celebrated it and will definitely be back. A must visit (especially if you love good wine or want to get to know it)

Super Location, besonders bei gutem Wetter im Aussenbereich. Sehr gute Weinkarte und Pommes, genauso gut wie im Freibad :-) Die Dips zu den Pommes sind mega, die Currywurst ebenfalls eine echte Empfehlung. Service ist super, und wenn man Glück hat, kann man mit Tony anstoßen!

Cool modern concept, fries with currywurst and delicious wine, there is also some vegetarian options. You have to order inside yourself, which is completely ok. The audience is very mixed, which makes it exciting, highly recommended.

Came across this location completely unexpectedly. Delicious little fast food bites with decent wines. The pavilion and the spot have cult potential.

Wine and chips, great concept. Always packed, aged 20-60. Quite loud inside when it's full. Delicious wines for many tastes. The food was very tasty, the last time it was a bit lacking, but of course that could have been a “bad day”. My recommendation 👌🏼

The best place in Düsseldorf if you like wine and fries! The people who work there know what they do and will always hit you with the best wine for any occasion. Wine pairing with fries, they will blow your palate! And cerise sur le gateau, the location is excellent, between parcs and shopping streets... Why not enjoy a good glas of wine after a day of shopping? Or best place to wait your lovely while they shop 🤣. I will go back for sure!

The fries are good, but the sausage is average at best. There is no cola or soda. The spritzers on offer absolutely do not go well with currywurst.

Very tasty currywurst and outstanding fries! In addition, an absolutely disgusting wine list with a focus on German producers, especially the Moselle, but also Nahe, Palatinate, etc. Everything is just not mainstream. A wonderful place in the otherwise sometimes one-sided D'dorf gastro scene!!! MUST VISIT!

Didn't eat here but tried very good wines.

If you knew the predecessor (Berliner Imbiss), you would be a bit disappointed with the Currywurst. Only a weak curry sauce on the sausage and no curry powder. Chili is offered for seasoning. The fries are good. At least I can't figure out what the quarter cucumber has lost on it because it somehow doesn't really fit in. The waiting time has increased negatively. If, like me, you can do without wine with sausage, it's only average as a snack. €8.80 for a currywurst with fries and mayonnaise is okay. No coke and €3.80 for a spritzer. The ambience is ok and is somewhere between a snack bar and a chic place.

Super cool concept - it fits the location perfectly and is very well implemented. The wines are great and you always get good advice. Currywurst and fries are also great! One criticism I have to leave there - the club sandwich is simply 3 slices of toasted bread with melted cheese, tomato, ham and some lettuce. The cheese in the second layer wasn't melted and the sandwich overall was very dry. Just not good. I don't think it's cool to charge €13.90 for this

The wine list makes many top restaurants green with envy. From legendary champagnes to Keller's GGs to top chateaus from Burgundy, everything is represented. But you can also get something for a smaller budget, because you're also well positioned here in the open bar. Even if some bottles may seem ambitious given the concept, everyone should find what they are looking for here. And if you just want a cola or a beer, you are also welcome here. The employees are nice and self-service is the order of the day. Overall, a clear recommendation, whether for wine lovers or newbies, because in the end what matters is: wine is uncomplicated.

Currywurst Pommes gut, Wein gut, Beratung gut. 4 Sterne. Allerdings freut es mich ungemein, dass der GAP wieder belebt wird. Es ist toll, dass sich Gastronomen trauen, neue Konzepte außerhalb der Altstadt auszuprobieren. Daher 5 Sterne.

Grundsätzlich finde ich neue Weinbarkonzepte toll und spannend. Hier stimmt leider einiges nicht: - Wein und Pommes/Currywurst/Fritiertes… ob einem diese Kombination gefällt, sei jedem selbst überlassen; - Selbstbedienung: bei einem auf junges Publikum gerichteten Konzept vollkommen ok… aber…. Mitunter 30-45 Minuten in der Schlange stehen macht keinen Spaß und hat nicht mit einem entspannten Glas Wein zu tun; - die Auswahl der offenen Weine ist - insbesondere wenn man sich anschaut, was andere Weinbars in Düsseldorf an offenen Weinen anbietet eher unteres Mittelfeld; -viel zu wenig Sitzgelegenheiten; - bei schlechtem Wetter hält man sich innen auf und stinkt binnen kürzester Zeit wie nach einer Schicht beim Goldenen M;

Coole Location, freundliches Personal. Vermutlich tolle Weine, aber... das ist KEIN Imbiss. Selten eine schlechtere Wurst (Jagdwurst oder so was) gegessen, Fritten okay, Soße super. Aber die Wurst vergeigt es halt komplett. Trendy und auf chic gemacht (inkl. Kartenzahlung mit prominenter Tipp-Abfrage... wohl gemerkt... hier ist Selbstbedienung...für meine Begriffe definitiv zu "pushy"), ist der Laden eher Weinbar als das, was er vorgibt zu sein.

Waren dort um den Abend mit einem Glas Wein zu starten. 5 € Glas Pfand ganz schön happig für die Location. Was ein wahrer Turn- Off war ist der extreme Friteuse Geruch sobald man nach drinnen geht. Da vergeht einen die Lust länger als 5 Min zu verweilen. Das Personal war leider auch nicht besonders freundlich. Schade!

Tolle location mitten in Düsseldorf mit sehr guten Pommes, super Currywurst und sehr schönen Weinen. Rin Place to be an einem sonnigen Tag, aber auch inside bei Regen 👍

Leider ist der "Berliner Imbiss" nun auch Opfer der für Düsseldorf so typischen Gastro-Kultur geworden, deren Credo immer "mehr Schein als Sein" ist. Statt des rustikalen Ambientes, der guten Pommes und zivilen Preise gibt es heute die Hälfte auf dem Teller, dafür den doppelten Preis und einen "puckähnlichen" Gegenstand, der durch Beleuchtung und Vibration anzeigt, dass die in ca. 1,5 Meter Entfernung frittierten Pommes nun fertig sind. Damit scheidet auch die Kommunikation aus und man fragt sich, warum man hier noch Halt machen sollte. Einen Schülertarif gibt es in Rufweite zum Görres- und Luisengymnasium bezeichnenderweise nicht mehr, welcher Schüler gibt schon 8,10 Euro für eine Handvoll Pommes und eine ordinäre Wurst aus?

Ungezwungene, zentrale Weinbar in Düsseldorf. Wine & Fries zum fairen Preis. Ich kann diese Location nur empfehlen.

Freundliche MitarbeiterInnen! Ansonsten kann ich dem Laden wenig bis nichts Positives abgewinnen. Unorganisiert trotz Piepersystem, über 30 Minuten Wartezeit für eine Pommes Currywurst die dann auch noch nach Bockwurst schmeckt mit Industrie"mayo". Für einen mE nicht mehr angemessen Preis. Hauptsache die Frittenbude hat eine Weinkarte… Danke Berliner Imbiss, vermisse dich jetzt schon.

It's a nice spot for a quick meal, a very nice and central location. The music was loud but perfect level for a normal conversation. The staff were vibing to the music and visibly happy.

Super Konzept- leckere Pommes und diverse andere Dinge plus Wein. Nicht schicki-micki trotz Kö-Nähe, sondern unkompliziert und nett. Die Weine, die es gibt und die ich probiert habe waren alle super. Würde mich noch über einen Sauvignon Blanc oder einen guten Grauburgunder freuen. Ansonsten top!
