Patagonia Mainz in Mainz

Spontaneously here last night and got a place even without a reservation. Ate burgers and was really impressed. The meat was particularly tasty. The staff is extremely friendly. I would love to come over for steak again.

We were very satisfied! It's always difficult to make the "first visit" (for us) especially when the prices are high! We weren't disappointed, the prices are reasonable for the quality and of course the taste. The noise level was a little higher because there was a larger company present, but not disturbing! I think when it's in "normal" operation, it's much quieter! We'll be back...! ;-) Thank you for the lovely evening. A drawback, but the restaurant can't do anything about it, so allow at least 20 minutes to find a parking space!

My favorite regular restaurant. Fantastic steaks, good wine, delicious desserts, friendly and quick service and a cozy atmosphere. I've been a guest here for many years. Unfortunately I can't come as often as I used to because I moved to Berlin. Was visiting Mainz today and the steaks are still great. A culinary delight. Please don't change anything. Be sure to try the Ulm honey ice cream with poppy seeds as a desert ;-)

An absolute recommendation. Great service, fantastic food and there is something on the menu for everyone! Meat lovers are in absolute heaven here 😍 you should definitely make a reservation.

This was our first time at Patagonia. The food met our expectations. Good quality, adequate presentation, tasty and rich. Price level depends on the region or City adapted. Service impeccable. The ambience is nice.

An unpleasant experience. After looking at the menu, I was recommended to order a fillet with a side dish individually as it was fat-free (as requested). 40€ for a fillet if good and agreed to. A fillet wrapped in bacon was served. When I directly asked the question whether this was bacon, the answer was, "It says so on the menu." If I order a beef fillet, I expect that it will only be offered beef and no other animal and if so, then I should inform you about it! There's nothing you could do except bring me the menu again to order another dish. We have been restaurateurs ourselves for 30 years. If I make a personal recommendation as a waiter, I stand by it and don't expect anyone to look at the menu. Especially since I clearly emphasized fillet and a side dish. Statements like, but we always do it like this, are clear protective mechanisms to try to talk our way out of it. Finally, an older employee offered to cancel the meal. That's not what we wanted to achieve. Food was paid for in FULL without being touched, but there will be no further visit

Super tasty. Unfortunately it was very loud because it was full. The tables are also very close together. It's just not something for romantic evenings etc. But I can only recommend it because the steaks are great and the side dishes are very suitable.

Best steakhouse! Went with co workers and I ordered the tomahawk! Super delicious, finished it all and ordered some amazing desert! Would definitely return.

Wir sind wegen des guten Essen ins Patagonia und waren das erste mal dort. Das Steak war wirklich hervoragend und die Beilagen sehr lecker . Leider war der Service nichrt so gut , die Bedienung war etwas Überfordert weil es sehr voll war und es dauerte immer lange bis jemand an den Tisch kam um unsere Bestellung anzunehmen (beim Dessert) . Das Restaurant ist sehr Laut gewesen und man hat Schwierigkeiten sich zu Unterhalten. Ich werde das nächste mal versuchen bei gutem Wetter draußen zu sitzen . Da das Essen sehr gut war werde ich gerne wiederkommen .

Meat was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender and of the highest quality. The side dishes were equally delicious and rounded off the entire taste experience perfectly. The service was attentive and friendly, the atmosphere pleasant and inviting. An all-round successful evening – I’ll definitely be back.

Nice restaurant, good food. Steak trilogia plate was great and sides are tasty. Good drinks selection, shame some of the cocktails are pre-mix/pre-made but not badly priced and still tasted pretty good. Staff were quick and helpful and nice atmosphere.

We went yesterday and we coould not have enjoyed more the food. The service is nice and they speak english and spanish. The empanadas were very tasty (I highly recommend the one with beef) and the meat, delicious and tasty (we ordered filet mignon and ribsteak with fries). I am giving 4* to the atmosphere bc we sat outside and it was super hot and humit. All i all, very recommendable!

Delicious! Anyone who wants good meat (and of course is willing to pay accordingly) is very well served here.

Fast alles war ausgezeichnet im Patagonia. Das Einzige, was unser Erlebnis weniger angenehm machte, war nicht die Schuld des Restaurants, obwohl ich vorschlagen möchte, dass sie mit Gästen umgehen, die das Erlebnis für andere Gäste unangenehm machen. Ich beziehe mich speziell auf eine Gruppe von US-Servicepersonal. Sie sprachen nicht nur so laut, dass meine Frau und ich unser Gespräch nicht fortsetzen konnten, sondern die Art ihrer Gespräche, von sexuellen Handlungen bis hin zur unvorteilhaften Beschreibung weiblicher Geschlechtsteile, verärgerte nicht nur uns, sondern auch die Menschen um uns herum. Dies ist mein einziger ungünstiger Kommentar zu einem ansonsten guten Erlebnis. Wie ich sagte, ist das Verhalten der Gäste nicht die Schuld des Restaurants, aber es wäre schön, wenn solche Verhaltensweisen kontrolliert werden könnten, indem man solche Gäste bittet, ihre Lautstärke zu kontrollieren und auf ihre Zunge zu achten. Ich verstehe, dass sie Spaß hatten, aber das wollten wir und die anderen Gäste auch. Übrigens ist mein Kommentar kein Spiegelbild der US-Servicemitarbeiter, da meiner Erfahrung nach die meisten von ihnen sehr nett sein. Ich habe es nur darauf hingewiesen, damit Patagonia weiß, von wem ich spreche, da es sich bei diesen Gästen anscheinend um Stammkunden handelt.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient, haben angenehm im Aussenbereich gesessen und super gut gegessen. Wir waren auf Empfehlung da und kommen sehr gern wieder.

My steak was supposed to be medium rare but it was very rare. Pro tip, medium here may be medium rare. Otherwise, the food was really good. Secondly, it was way too hot inside here. Maybe limited AC is more common but I absolutely could not eat inside. I was really uncomfortable. Eventually sat outside but I was still too hot to enjoy my meal. This restaurant may get more business if there is better relief from the heat

Wir haben die Trilogía gegessen. 3 verschiedene Teilstücke, um einmal gut vergleichen zu können. Alles war sehr lecker und die Qualität war super. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Leider war der reservierte Tisch im aussenbereich erst nach 45 min verführbar. Wir hatten uns auf 20min und als Komparation auf ein Bier eingelassen im überhitzten Innenbereich zu sitzen. Leider wurden andere Gäste dann wiederum vorgezogen. Die Qualität der Speisen kannten wir besser. Der Service war recht langsam und weniger aufmerksam.

Germ. Et english: Wir waren begeistert. Sehr gute Küche. Zweimal Steak gegessen. Einmal Rumpsteak und ich hatte das Filetsteak. Das Fleisch ist wirklich sehr gut und die gar Zustände waren optimal. Der Nachtisch war sehr gut 👍 Die hausgemachte Himbeerschorle superlecker. Die Nachspeisen waren fürstlich. Personal sehr freundlich und umsichtig. Wurde trotz vollem Buchungszusatnd immer wieder nach uns geschaut. Auch die Frage,wie es schmeckt und ob alles in Ordnung ist kam bei jeder Speise. Port.: We love this. Very good kitchen. I ate steak twice. Once I had rump steak and I had the fillet steak. The meat is actually very good and the cooking conditions were great. The dessert was very good 👍 The homemade raspberry spritzer is super delicious. The desserts were princely. Very friendly and careful staff. Despite full reservation status, we were always taken care of. The question of how it tastes and if it's okay came up at every meal.

We didn't have a reservation, so we had to wait a long time for our food. Nevertheless, the food came super quickly and we were pleasantly surprised.

I had an incredible dining experience at this restaurant! The ribeye was cooked to perfection and seasoned with just the right amount of salt. The quinoa risotto was a unique and delicious dish that I highly recommend trying. The service was attentive and friendly, which added to my overall enjoyment. You truly can't go wrong with this restaurant. An absolute standout was the Carmeniere wine, with its jammy fruit and spicy notes that perfectly complemented my juicy ribeye.

Das Essen war lecker, wenn auch hochpreisig. 8 Euro für 0,75 ltr. Selterswasser finden wir sehr überzogen. Muss nun Wasser so teuer anbieten. Für den Preis gibt's im Angebot 2 Kisten. Eh Leute, habt Ihr das wirklich nötig?

Unfortunately, my recent visit to a renowned steakhouse (Patagonia) was a disappointment. The service, which usually includes a smile and a warm greeting, was anything but friendly this time. The waiters seemed overwhelmed and uninterested in a positive guest experience. The meal, for which I was particularly looking forward to the steak, did not reach the usual quality. The meat wasn't cooked to perfection and the side dishes tasted like they were pre-made and just warmed up. For a restaurant specializing in steaks, this was particularly disappointing. To make matters worse, after just an hour we were asked to leave the table as it had already been “sold on” to the next guest. This practice felt very unprofessional and made us feel unappreciated. Conclusion: Unfortunately, I cannot recommend a steakhouse that cannot convince with either service or food quality and asks its guests to leave early. There are many other places where you can experience more appreciation both in terms of food and service. Sorry, but you should definitely work on the price-performance ratio here. Above all, complimenting the guests is not an option.

Das Padagonia ist ein geschmackliches Erlebnis mit super Qualität. Ich esse sehr wenig Fleisch, aber hier macht es selbst mir richtig "Spaß"

Insgesamt war unser Besuch im Patagonia für meine Frau und mich ein sehr schönes Erlebnis. Der Service zuvorkommend und immer dezent im Hintergrund. Das Esser sehr gut und der Preis war im guten Verhältnis zur Qualität. Der einzige Wermutstropfen war der leicht erhöhte Geräuschpegel, aber das ist meckern auf sehr hohen Niveau. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Sehe gemütliche Location mit sehr nettem und zuvorkommendem Service. Es gibt eine reichhaltige Speisekarte. Meine Frau war sehr zufrieden, ich hatte ein Steak "medium" bestellt imznd bekam es "englisch" serviert. Aber sonst alles prima. Wir werden dort wieder aufschlagen.

Had an excellent meal there. One thing to note is that they cook the steak exactly how you all for it. It seems odd say it, but I normally have to request rare to get medium rare. Here you get what you all for which was a delight. Staff we're super friendly and helpful.

There were two of us there. When we came into the restaurant we were taken straight to the table. Everything was very nicely decorated. The only thing that bothered us was that everything happened very quickly, so we couldn't really enjoy the evening and the food. We were given the menu and 1 minute later we were asked what we would like to drink. 5 minutes later the waitress came and asked what we wanted to eat. We received the side salad quite quickly with a greeting from the kitchen at the same time. Two small rolls with a tomato/onion salad. We weren't even finished and the food arrived. All in all it took us 30 minutes to do everything. It felt like the restaurant was pushing to free up the tables quickly, even though the reservation said two people had two hours for each table. It was my first time there and I wouldn't go again. Because it's really nothing special for the prices. Everything speaks for it being very upmarket and so are the prices, but when you're there you don't get the feeling. We didn't usually get a bill either, but the card reader was brought forward straight away. The waiter didn't thank you for the tip and didn't say a nice goodbye when you left the restaurant. Unfortunately, it's a shame, because if you leave over 100 euros you should get perfect service. Very overdone and not really a nice atmosphere. Eating out should be valued at this time as not everyone can afford such evenings these days. You should be grateful. But we didn't have that feeling of being welcome. That's why we're not coming anymore!

The Patagonia Steakhouse is simply great! The burgers are delicious and the fries are to die for. There is also friendly service that rounds off the visit perfectly. You simply feel comfortable here. Highly Recommended! :)

von einem Steak Restaurant erwarte ich das Filet auf den bestellten Garpunkt geliefert wird und das dass personal ggf. eine Reklamation von einem gast mindestens mal zur kenntnis nimmt. aber das wäre wohl Zuviel verlangt vor der renovierung war der service und das essen besser danke für einen nicht so gelungen Abend

We were unexpectedly in Mainz for the evening so made a last minute booking. The food and steak was excellent and exceeded expectations (we had empanadas and rib-eye with sides). The waiting staff were very helpful and assisted with English translations. Highly recommended.

The quality is unbeatable, but personally I think the prices are a little high, however, we like it and we have already been several times. There are times when it is worth paying for good food and this restaurant is worth it.

A restaurant that is known for its good and high quality food, I personally like the steaks very much. The starter salad was good too. However, we forgot a beer, so slight deductions can always happen

It was a great stay. The food was great. Nowhere else can you get a perfectly fried steak like this. Ambiance and service very pleasant.

We lost half an hour because of the reservation and were 29 minutes late. Clearly our mistake. But instead of people calling us or offering us an alternative on site, we are greeted with a smug smile from an almost empty restaurant. To err is human. However, professional, service-oriented interaction looks different. A pity!

Great restaurant with great food. They have available menus in Spanish and the waitresses speak Spanish as well. Being there makes you feel like home. The food is amazing and the environment is excellent. Best Hispanic restaurant!

Like a little vacation in Chile... There is a nice selection of different cuts of meat, side dishes, Chilean wines. A good start is a pisco sour or a mango sour, the empanadas are delicious, and our favorites include the ribeye and the almond-crusted lamb, with a carmenere. We always enjoy coming here for a special meal that awakens wanderlust and fond memories.

Ruinierter Abend. Zum Geburtstag wollten meine Frau und ich Steaks essen und dachten, lass uns mal wieder ins Patagonia gehen. Während ich mein Steak gegessen habe, fütterte meine Frau noch unsere kleine Tochter fertig und begann ein paar Minuten später als ich mit dem Essen. Sie bestellte ihr Steak „bitte ganz durch“. Was sie bekam war eine Garstufe medium rare bis medium. Sie wollte daher, dass das Steak bitte noch durchgebraten wird. Daraufhin sagte der Service, die Küche wird jetzt saubergemacht und sie können das Steak jetzt nicht mehr braten. Also, sowas habe ich mein ganzes Leben noch nicht erlebt! Wir sind gegangen, um zuhause das Essen fertigzubraten. Beim Gehen sagte uns der Chef nochmals in überheblich arroganter Weise, die Küche sei jetzt halt geschlossen, dafür müssen wir Verständnis haben. Service wäre gewesen, uns daraufhinzuweisen, dass die Küche schließt und wenn noch was ist, wir es jetzt sagen müssten. Offenbar hat die Küche auch wenig Talent, Steaks zu braten, wenn die Garstufe so gar nicht getroffen wird. Der Umgang mit der Situation dann auch noch dreist. Ein ruinierter Abend, wir werden sicher nicht wiederkommen!

Sehr aufmerksames Personal, Fleisch war perfekt- gerne wieder

Das Patagonia glänzt mit einer schönen Location, die mit viel Herzblut eingerichtet wurde. Auch beim Essen wird auf authentische chillige Produkte geachtet und sehr schön angerichtet. Im Innenraum gibt es wenige Sitzplätze und man sollte vorher reservieren, um einen Platz zu bekommen. Leider ist es ziemlich laut dort und ich empfehle dämpfende Larmmaterialien einzubauen. :)

Essen und Getränke toll wie immer! Leider war der Service nicht wie gewohnt. Bestimmt ein einmaliger Ausreißer!

Nice atmosphere, friendly and quick service and very good food. The Camenbert burger was really awesome, as was the steak duo. The normal hamburger was also very tasty. The four of us spontaneously got a place on Saturday evening.
