Sehr leckeres Essen, schönes Ambiente und relativ günstig. Der Kartoffelauflauf war ein Traum und die Bedienung war super nett. Da komme ich gerne wieder wenn ich in der Gegend bin.

Tolle Eistee, aber ich persönlich habe keine wirklich gute Erfahrung gemacht. Nicht sauber und nicht freundlich zu Kunden. Viel zu teuer und Hygienemangel

Das Essen war lecker, der Service aufmerksam und schnell. Das einzige was mich gestört hat, waren die vielen Fliegen im Raum, da die Tür auf war, aber das lässt sich wohl schlecht vermeiden...

Hatten unfassbar Hunger, sind eine Stunde durch die Stadt gelaufen, weil uns hier laut Öffnungszeiten eine weitere Stunde versprochen wurde. Kommen an, geht das Licht aus, größte Enttäuschung. Auflauf auch immer nur aufgewärmt meh.

Das Essen ist hier immer gut und die Cocktails schmecken auch lecker. Der Service ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Wie kommen immer gerne.

Sonntagsbrunch für 22,90€ incl Tee , Saft und Filterkaffe Vom BUFFET: Ganze gebratene Lachsforelle, Garnelen, Lachswraps, Wärme Gerichte wie Sparerinnen, Ychweinelende und Nudeln mit Lachs, Tortellini, und viel mehr Natürlich auch Brötchen, Aufschnitt, Käse, Pancakes Müsli, Obstsalat für Kinder Hühnchen, Nuggets von Fritz etc.

Sehr enttäuschend auf ganzer Linie Wir waren gestern zu zweit dort und haben uns um 19:00 Uhr auf der überwiegend leeren Terrasse einen Platz gesucht. Die Getränke kamen recht zügig – das war leider das Einzige, was wirklich funktionierte. Nach unserer Bestellung (zwei Hauptgerichte und eine Vorspeise) kam das Essen erst nach 20:00 Uhr – also nach über einer Stunde Wartezeit. Besonders auffällig: Personen, die nach uns kamen und nach uns bestellten, haben ihr Essen zuerst bekommen. Kurz vor 20:00 Uhr bin ich rein gegangen um zu fragen was mit der Bestellung ist. Daraufhin wurde ich gefragt, was ich denn überhaupt bestellt hätte und ob ich das nochmal sagen könnte. Die Kellnerin kam dann raus und meinte, sie konnten unsere Bestellung nicht zubereiten, weil angeblich ein großer Tisch drinnen war, den man zuerst bedienen musste. Hätte ich gewusst, dass ich eine Stunde auf mein Essen warten muss, hätte ich dankend abgelehnt – ich hatte eine lange Reise hinter mir und dementsprechend Hunger. Wir haben daraufhin gefragt, ob es etwas Kleines und Schnelles im Sinne eines Appetizers gibt. Es wurde uns Bruschetta angeboten – die kamen erst nach 10 Minuten, das Essen dann nochmal 10–15 Minuten später. Zur Qualität: Die Hähnchenpfanne hat schlicht wie Bolognese mit Hähnchenstücken geschmeckt. Außerdem habe ich in den Fusilli-Nudeln immer wieder Penne gefunden – was sehr verwunderlich war. Ich habe das Gericht dementsprechend nicht gegessen (Bild). Auch das Schnitzel war nicht wirklich gut für 19,90€ . Beide Hauptgerichte haben sich preislich für die Qualität nicht gelohnt. An der Kasse dann: voller Betrag, beide Vorspeisen wurden berechnet, kein Wort der echten Entschuldigung, keine Kulanzgeste. Für diesen Service und diese Qualität 70 € zu bezahlen ist schlicht nicht gerechtfertigt. Insgesamt sehr enttäuschend. Keine Weiterempfehlung.

Paprika ist als Ort und Ambiente wirklich gut, aber es gibt ein Problem: drinnen sind Fliegen, und es werden keinerlei Maßnahmen dagegen ergriffen. In mein Essen ist sogar eine Fliege gefallen, und trotzdem wurde mir der volle Preis berechnet. Das ist wirklich seltsam.

Heute waren wir mit dem Schlemmerblock im Paprica in Gießen. Schönes Restaurant mit schönem Wintergarten. Große Auswahl an Speisen. Preisleistungsverhältnis passt. Große Portionen. Servicepersonal super nett. Am Wochenende ist Reservierung angebracht. Sonntags wird auch Brunchen angeboten. Buffet sah sehr lecker aus. Wir kommen wieder.

Ich war gestern mit meinen Kolleginnen dort zum Essen. Wir waren alle sehr unzufrieden mit dem Essen aber ich kann ja nur für mich sprechen. Ich hatte mir einen Garnelenauflauf bestellt . Hatte zuvor gefragt, ob man die Kartoffeln weg lassen und dafür etwas mehr Nudeln nehmen könne. Dies wäre kein Problem . Was mir allerdings serviert wurde war ein Mini Auflauf, der nach 3 Gabelstichen leer war und nach nichts geschmeckt hat. Ich hatte mir dann noch eine Portion Süßkartoffel Pommes bestellt, um satt zu sein. Diese waren ganz gut. Schade, dass sich wohl das Küchenpersonal geändert hat, denn es gb schon Zeiten, wo ich dort echt gut gegessen habe.

Leckeres Essen zu einem fairen Preis

Wir waren mit Freunden gemeinsam Essen und ich habe leider insgesamt über 90 Minuten auf meine Pizza gewartet. Nachdem ich mehrmals Fragen musste, wie der Stand der Pizza ist, wurde irgendwann nur geantwortet, dass sie bereits im Ofen sei. Nach fast 2 Stunden war die gesamte Gruppe fertig mit dem Essen, zumindest die Personen, die bereits begonnen haben zu essen. Für mich war das kein Problem, jedoch ist es unerklärlich, wie man so lange für eine Pizza benötigt, die sich kaum von einer Tiefkühlpizza unterscheidet. Die Kellnerinnen waren fairerweise freundlich, kamen jedoch nicht auf die Idee, diese Situation kundenorientiert anzugehen und es in irgendeiner Art wiedergutzumachen.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von Freunden im Restaurant Paprica essen und leider ist der Abend für eine Person aus unserer Runde ziemlich enttäuschend verlaufen. Während wir unser Essen nach normaler Wartezeit bekommen haben, musste sie über 90 Minuten auf ihre Pizza warten. Mehrmals wurde freundlich nachgefragt, wie der Stand ist – die Antwort war irgendwann lediglich, dass die Pizza bereits im Ofen sei. Am Ende hat es fast zwei Stunden gedauert, bis das Essen kam. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt waren wir anderen bereits fertig mit unseren Gerichten. Das war uns als Gruppe natürlich unangenehm, auch wenn sie selbst sehr geduldig geblieben ist. Was schwer nachvollziehbar war: Es handelte sich um eine recht einfache Pizza, die qualitativ eher an eine Tiefkühlpizza erinnerte. Eine derart lange Wartezeit ist dafür kaum erklärbar. Die Kellnerinnen waren zwar freundlich, allerdings wurde die Situation nicht aktiv aufgegriffen oder in irgendeiner Form kundenorientiert gelöst – beispielsweise durch eine kleine Entschuldigung oder ein Entgegenkommen.

Ich wollte gestern Abend mir auf dem Weg nach Hause einen Burger holen. Ich hatte ihn bestellt und musste aber recht lange drauf warten. Der Mitarbeiter der Feierabend hatte und sich ebenfalls was zum mitnehmen noch bestellt hat, hat sein Essen, was er nach mir bestellt hat früher bekommen. Das war aber nicht so schlimm. Als ich dann zuhause ankam, musste ich leider feststellen, dass die Burgerbrötchen verschimmelt waren. War leider sehr enttäuschend. Deswegen nur 1 Stern. Das Ambiente im Restaurant sah aber sehr einladend und gemütlich aus.

Sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, mit überdachten im Außenbereich, der auch beheizt wurde für alle Raucher. Der Service war absolute spitze, so bemüht hab ich lange nicht mehr gesehen. Die Auswahl an Speisen war vielfältig, ich selber hatte das Rosenkohl Schnitzel, was eine elf von zehn war. Zu empfehlen ist der Apfelstrudel, ich hatte den ohne Sahne, aber mit Vanillesoße. Egal, ob als Gruppe oder alleine, die hinzugehen ist immer eine gute Entscheidung.

Ich war sehr positiv überrascht. Essen kam schnell und war lecker (Nudeln mit Lachs, Salat, Nachtisch), sehr moderate Preise und sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter. Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen!

We went to Paprika for Christmas brunch today. The food deserves more than 5 stars. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, it was quite cold at our table, and a draft came in through the patio door, which didn't close properly.

A relatively inexpensive restaurant with a solid selection. There's something for everyone here.

I was really disappointed with my visit to the Schnitzelhaus. The schnitzel was still raw in the middle – absolutely inedible and dangerous! I also found a hair in my food, which is simply unacceptable. My appetite was completely gone after that. Even though the service was friendly, that unfortunately couldn't make up for the poor quality of the food. I definitely won't be coming back.

I've eaten there twice in one month! The selection is top-notch, but the apple spritzer didn't have any fizz.

I ordered spaghetti with pesto. Unfortunately, the pasta was practically swimming in oil, and after just two or three forks of it, I got a stomach ache. The dish was also very salty—even though I usually like salty food. I sent the food back, but I still had to pay the full price, even though I barely ate any of it. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this restaurant. Go somewhere else instead.

The food was excellent. The waitresses were super nice and friendly, especially Miriam, who was exceptionally attentive and super friendly.

The oven pans were lightly loaded, with little meat, and the mushroom pan held 3 to 4 mushrooms. The baked potato was good. Sorry, it could be better, see Marburg.

I've been to the restaurant many times and I enjoy it, but unfortunately, on my last visit, my jacket was damaged by a portable heater that was way too hot. A staff member confirmed to me that it was the restaurant's fault that the heat was set so high. Despite this, I was neither compensated for the damage nor offered any kind of compensation. I would have really appreciated a bit more customer service in a situation like this. That was quite disappointing.

I was there with my wife on May 17, 2025. I ordered a Long Island cocktail for €10.50, but what I was served was a nearly non-alcoholic liquid (even though the menu stated it should contain five different types of alcohol). Instead of regular ice cubes, there was only crushed ice in the glass. We asked for the drink to be taken back and removed from the bill, because it definitely wasn't a Long Island. Call that liquid what you will, but it certainly wasn't a Long Island with five types of alcohol for €10.50. The mood was completely ruined. As we leave the restaurant, I pay the bill and we hurry to leave. But when I look at the bill, I see that I've been charged for two coffees (which we didn't order) and one mineral water (which we also didn't order) – a total of €12 extra. Seriously? That's just outrageous. Clearly: a straight A – how can you cheat your customers so brazenly?

I had chicken schnitzel with potatoes and asparagus and sour cream. The chicken schnitzels were two thin, raw pieces of meat with a thick breading that were baked in the deep fryer. The potatoes were raw and three sticks of asparagus for €16.90. The only thing that was edible was the asparagus and the sour cream. I've never eaten so badly in my life! The drinks and service were okay.

Unfortunately the pizza tasted like a frozen pizza. The service was subpar. Every time we ordered a new drink we had to alert the waitresses acoustically; there was no sign of attentive service. Apparently you don't want to make any money here. Not recommended.

We were there for the first time yesterday. The food is ok. The service inattentive. We sat at the high table at the bar so we could see directly how the beer and other drinks were “prepared”. After waiting over 20 minutes for 2 more beers that had been standing for 30 minutes and waiting to be distributed for more glasses, we paid and didn't accept the 2 beers. This beer mischief is an absolute no-go!!!!! Even if it's lighter 🤣😂😅 Disaster such mass production without quality...

I went there for breakfast brunch and I highly recommend it. A wide range of cold and warm dishes, it was always replenished. Cozy atmosphere and very friendly and attentive staff.

The burgers are very tasty, the portion is also large, but unfortunately you are not asked if you would like a sauce with the fries. You have to request this. Drinks are still on the menu, but are not available. Otherwise everything was fine and recommended.

On January 14th, 2025 we had dinner here around 10:30 p.m. and had a really nice evening. We were particularly impressed by the friendly brown-haired waitress. Even though she was alone in service, she handled everything with a smile and was always attentive. We had schnitzel and casserole, the taste was OK. There was nothing to complain about.

The casserole didn't taste good at all. It was mostly just potatoes although I ordered a lot of vegetables. The whole restaurant smelled of chlorine, which was obviously a cleaning operation. But then you just have to close the restaurant for 1-2 days.

I had to wait more than 60 minutes for my food and strangely enough, others who came after me were served beforehand... After I finally got my food it was cold.

It's been years since I went for a quick drink at Paprica, one of the few bars that's still open later on Sundays. And it was really nice.

A bit tight and there were a few small problems with our orders. Otherwise everything was great, friendly staff, delicious food, and a nice selection of non-alcoholic and caffeine-free/low-caffeine drinks.

Ordered 7 different dishes - the quality was poor this time. Unseasoned and loveless in foamed plastic packaging that is no longer permitted by law. A colleague's schnitzel was placed in the packaging so hot that it melted and the schnitzel was contaminated with plastic. That was the last order there for now.

Good evening, my partner and I really enjoy going out to eat with you on a regular basis. Unfortunately, since yesterday we have a rough suspicion of food poisoning. We only ate one meal yesterday and it was with you. About 8 hours later in the evening we suffered the worst vomiting for several hours, as well as all other known symptoms of poisoning. We would like to ask for a brief statement as to whether you are aware of any further cases since yesterday or how we can explain our health condition.

The music was a little too loud to eat and chat in peace. The food (casserole and pizza) itself was good, but the ham and olives on the pizza were not convincing. However, the service was excellent and we really enjoyed the cocktail.

Spent a lovely, entertaining and funny evening there with friends last night. In addition, very tasty food, fresh, crunchy side salad, schnitzel, sliced ​​meat and casserole, all very, very tasty. What more could you want… I particularly like the friendly people who work there… very nice and accommodating… They look after you without being intrusive! I can only recommend the paprica :)

Full marks again! I don't go there that often because I live in Flensburg, but I visit Paprica every now and then. Great food, sometimes pizza day, casserole day, etc... Always delicious and nice beer with it. Something like that is missing here in the north! Been there 3 times in 7 days (short vacation nearby) :-) met different people there. Everyone thought it was great there!

Normally I'm not a fan of negative reviews and only write them if I'm more than annoyed by the situation. So today at Paprika Bar. I chose a fitness plate with chicken breast and roasted vegetables. Sounds good for now, but this plate has nothing to do with fitness - or a properly prepared meal for 12 EUR. *The chicken, about 70-80g each, was fried to death, so the fat flowed out of it when I cut it. 125g fillets each would be nice for the price. *the fried vegetables were swimming in fat and had completely evaporated, so I could only eat the top layer of them. *The separate salad was a standard salad, which is delivered by every cheaper delivery service in Giessen. Overall, in my opinion, given the price, quality and quantity, this borders on outrageous. I have rarely spent 12 EUR for such bad food. Anyone who writes fitness should also deliver fitness and, if necessary, lightly fry it with coconut oil. Furthermore, reasonable portions can be expected for EUR 12 so that an adult is full and consumes enough protein.

One of my favorite restaurants in Giessen. Super convenient location, cheap, large selection, super tasty and really generous portions. You can sit inside and outside, even covered. For the central location, it's super quiet and relaxed. Can also highly recommend the Sunday brunch. For 20 euros a huge selection, warm & cold, including coffee and juice. More is not possible

The burger was undercooked, the service was mediocre. But what really ruined the whole thing was the beastly smell of decay from the garbage cans that were right behind the terrace. This in the summer in the heat.

Ate Jägerschnitzel today. Never had such raw, wobbly fries before, plus mushrooms that taste like 3rd class from Chernobyl. And that for €15.50. The second star of grace is for the meat, which was OK. Others can do it better, I won't order here anymore.

Paprica in Giessen is an absolute blessing for the city. The location is a little quieter, located above the train station, and is both handicapped accessible and beautifully open. There is plenty of space both inside and outside. The food has always been really wonderful and I will definitely be coming back more often.

Warm summer evening, not crowded.

Paprica Bar Giessen; the Gnocchi-Spinat-Auflauf; pizza; salads, juices, coffew, cakes and alot of desserts. A very nice place and seating. The food is amazing and unique alot of vegetarian options. It is near the banhof you can have a proper nice lunch before you travel.

Best location, good service, nice people, tables can be a bit more clean and amazing drinks but the songs… even though we are 2024 they feel like they are in early 2010s… after a while the songs dont fit to atmosphere, i wish they had more contemporary songs. Beside that- nice to chill in here.

Pizza is good I would never eat a burger there again. The meat wasn't cooked properly.

Excellent waffles and espresso! I would like to share my positive experience at this restaurant. The waffles and espresso were just great. You can feel the quality of the products, and it's no wonder that this restaurant is one of the top 10 restaurants and bars in Giessen. The restaurant has been in Giessen for a long time, which indicates that it is an established and popular place. I would like to thank the service staff, they did a great job. In my opinion, the team even deserves 7 stars if I could decide. I really enjoy going there regularly and am always happy about the great service. This restaurant and bar is furnished in a very modern way, if you want you can use first-name terms. I go here every week and am very satisfied with the service I receive here. There is also a choice of cappuccino with cow's milk/lactose-free/oat drink and soy milk and sometimes almond milk. In the kitchen, all dishes are prepared with a lot of love and all the chefs are very friendly.

Whenever I visit the Paprica Bar in Gießen, I realize why I always like to come back. The atmosphere is inviting and cozy, perfect for relaxed evenings with friends or for a spontaneous visit alone to simply end the day. The staff is friendly and attentive, which makes the stay special every time. The drink selection is excellent, with a variety of options to suit all tastes. The Paprika Bar is definitely worth a visit and undoubtedly deserves 5 stars. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

So I liked going there before/during the pandemic. The prices were also reasonable back then. But the cheap pasta bake now costs €12.90. It's just noodles. Pasta costs 1 euro to purchase (I don't think you get the most expensive pasta), a bit of cream sauce, a few spices and a bit of meat/vegetables. Of course, I am aware that wages, electricity, etc. are also included. The portion is also quite filling. I won't say anything about that either. How does the price for this portion of pasta justify itself? From 6-7€ to 13-16€??
