Everything was simply outstanding. A wonderful atmosphere, very attentive service, and the food was absolutely delicious. You can tell the food is freshly prepared, as it takes a little longer to serve, but the taste is outstanding. Perfectly seasoned, very well spiced, simply delicious.

The food was very good, the prices were reasonable too. I highly recommend it. I was there with 10 people and we also went boating. You can also take a boat right in the middle of the river and travel along the Lahn. ☺️

Very expensive. Unfortunately, comfortable seating in the outdoor area is almost impossible due to the wood chips. The seating is very old, and parking is limited.

We were able to sit outside, as it's generally busy. I think reservations are a good idea, especially on weekends. You can sit outside right by the Lahn River. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. Our dogs were also very welcome—we'd love to go back!

A thoroughly enjoyable restaurant! We were there recently for dinner – the reservation worked out perfectly, the outdoor terrace was beautifully situated on the Lahn River, and the interior of the restaurant is modern and appears to have been recently renovated! The service was excellent and always up-to-date, and the food was also very good. We had a wonderful evening, and I'm sure I'd love to come back with other friends! Giessen has so much more to offer!

Perfect for weddings too! We already ate at the Marinestuben last year after our civil wedding and were thoroughly satisfied. So, last weekend, we celebrated our wedding there, including a non-denominational ceremony – and it was simply perfect! The atmosphere and the outdoor facilities are superb and incredibly cozy. The organization beforehand was easy and straightforward, which took a lot of stress off us. The food was truly first-class – there was something for every taste, and we received consistently positive feedback. We were all more than impressed with the service: very friendly, prompt, and welcoming. Despite the amount of work, they even took the time to play around with the children present. For us, it was the absolute dream wedding, and our guests were also thrilled. We can wholeheartedly recommend the Marinestuben and thank you again for this unforgettable day!

We had a salad with chanterelle mushrooms and chicken breast in pepper sauce with rosemary potatoes and side vegetables. The food was expertly prepared, but everything was a bit bland in flavor. Everything could have been seasoned more. The knives were also blunt, which was quite annoying when cutting. The service was very friendly, though. The price-performance ratio wasn't quite right.

We celebrated our wedding at the Marinestuben on Saturday. From the planning to the organization and the concluding ceremony, we found it to be a complete success. Communication with the restaurant manager was always relaxed, smooth, and informal. He was always available to assist us as a contact person and was always grateful. We had a good feeling about choosing this location from start to finish. We received repeated positive feedback during and after the event because the service, food, and atmosphere were all just right. The team was always very attentive and present, without being too "intrusive." We felt completely at ease and well looked after. The location on the Lahn River is second to none – simply incredibly beautiful. And even though the weather wasn't ideal, we had a wonderful day at the Marinestuben! The presentation and selection of the buffet were a dream. The decor was wonderfully executed. A complete success! The price/performance ratio was more than fair. We can wholeheartedly recommend this location. Keep up the good work!

Simply fantastic! We celebrated our wedding at the Marinestuben with around 70 guests at the end of June. We had previously looked at various other restaurants, but in our opinion, this one offered the best selection and overall package right on the Lahn River. What can we say: the food was first-class (vegetarian and vegan included, everything beautifully presented and plentiful), the drinks were cold and delicious, the service was fast, reliable, very friendly, and a true asset to our celebration – from the afternoon into the night! With the support of the Marinestuben, we were able to organize our celebration exactly as we had hoped. Especially in the heat, the use of the wonderful outdoor area was a significant advantage. Our wishes were completely fulfilled, and our guests were thrilled – everything was just as it should be! We would eat here again anytime, whether for a cozy evening or a large celebration. Recently I was in the navy room. I checked the opening times. According to Google it was still closed, but since I was very close I went anyway. Out on the Lahn, if the weather was nice, I would definitely have been able to pass the waiting time well. I was greeted very friendly and was able to order food even though it wasn't officially open yet. Thanks for that, I was really hungry! :) The food came quickly and was very tasty. You can also sit there very nicely inside and outside! Good service Enjoy your meal Nice ambience Gladly again.

Given the name and external impression, I was actually hoping for an old-fashioned, "home-style" restaurant in a positive sense. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. The atmosphere and music with annoying Latin pop are more reminiscent of a shisha bar... The prices don't match the boring and uninspired menu. Especially when the Jägerschnitzel with fries is at a Lieferando level at best. I don't need it a second time.

We have been guests at this restaurant for many years and so far everything has always tasted incredibly good. What really surprised us today was the goose from the recommendation of the day menu! We tried goose in different restaurants this winter, what can I say... it was all a waste of money! Nothing we have ever eaten comes close to this dish in terms of taste and tenderness! At this point a huge compliment to the chef! The service is always top, the owner is very friendly and accommodating, and the value for money is unbeatable. We discovered today that this was and remains our absolute favorite restaurant in both summer and winter. Today we were there with a group of 25 people on the occasion of a birthday. The starters were amazing, all of our guests, without exception, were enthusiastic about all the dishes. Many thanks to the entire team and especially the boss for your hard work and what you do!

The only positive thing is the location right on the Lahn, when you can sit outside in summer. Went on a bike ride and ended up there. We waited about 1 hour 20 minutes for the food and it was really bad. I ordered chicken breast with potatoes, the potatoes tasted really old / warmed up, I pointed this out to the employee and she just said okay, I'll pass it on to the kitchen. Furthermore, it is outrageous to charge over €20 for this dish. Definitely not recommended.

One of the most beautiful beer gardens in Gießen, located directly on the Lahn. Friendly, attentive and quick service. The food is a little more expensive but of excellent quality. The portions could perhaps be a little larger, but that's complaining at a high level. We would love to come back, especially in summer. Recommendation: Very good fish dishes!!!

Nicht weiterzuempfehlen !!!! Einfach schlimm. Der Service ist fürchterlich. Ich war wie Luft!!! Es hat mich über eine Stunde gekostet bis das Essen da war ,dies ist absolut kein Zustand!!! Außerdem viel zu überteuert für die billige Qualität!! Ich würde abraten hier einen Besuch abzustatten. Lieber ein anderes Restaurant an der Lahn anstatt dieses !!!

Due to our group size, we had reserved and unfortunately we were indoors in this great weather. The service was great! Friendly without being annoyed, even though everything in the beer garden and inside was full. The food was delicious and was brought to the table quickly. We were there for an excursion with a group of people with disabilities from Lebenshilfe. The day was a complete success. We started with a great boat trip on the Lahn, which we already received at a discount. Afterwards there was very tasty and sumptuous food in the Marinestuben, which was completely surprisingly taken over by the restaurant owner. We didn't have to pay a cent and were given snacks, ice cream and drinks. We are very grateful for this great day and can highly recommend the Marinestuben after this experience! Thank you again for the whole Marinestube team!!!!

The food is outstanding! And slightly more extensive special requests due to allergies are no problem and were implemented accurately. This is not a given everywhere. In this regard, the staff was also very friendly and attentive. Small negative point: all the employees had the strange ability to look away if you wanted something else. It was difficult to order unless the waiter/waitress asked. If you wanted to make yourself noticeable in between, it was a real challenge. This is different. The ambience was nice but not exceptional.

Unfortunately no vegan options and no willingness to change anything or prepare something with a week's advance order. Salad and antipasti are not a substitute for the rest of the menu. That should be possible given the atmosphere and the demand is there and the ingredients are available even in small supermarkets. Unfortunately it's no longer an option for me, despite the beautiful ambience, but there's even more to the Lahn

Perfect wedding! Hamit and his outstanding team made this day unforgettable for us! Everyone was on their toes and provided us with drinks and food. Our guests also praised everything highly! The team created a good atmosphere, danced with us and stormed the photo box - even though there was a lot going on and the temperatures were extreme, everyone had a smile on their faces! Just wanted something to drink during a bike ride. I also got hungry because of the apparently delicious dishes of other guests and still ate something. Asparagus with salmon and potatoes.
