Outrageous prices. True connoisseurs won't be found here. A "nouveau riche" clientele. The parking lot in front of the restaurant is a residents' parking lot. Dear employees: NO PRIVATE PARKING. What a load of crap you've had to hear from such highly intellectual employees. Even if I could get the money for a table out of petty cash, true connoisseurs don't go here. I've made a reservation more than a week ago to celebrate my birthday, me and a friend of mine, yesterday, we came after we took uber 30 minutes drive to hear the selector says that they canceled our reservation without even letting us know or talking to us with the excuse their is too many guys, although we came for dinner, don't go if you don't want to waste your time. We try to talk to the manager and get answers but no one responds, they act in a disrespectful manner and I don't recommend you to go their. They don't respect their clients and their time, not a nice place to be, its a shame. I truly recommend you to go to grace (great restaurant that we ended up at with good vibes). They lost their clients.

The strange blonde lady with the tablet in her hand looked at us strangely at first, we knew she was looking for something so she wouldn't let us in. In the end my buddy's outfit didn't fit her HE WAS WEARING A SHIRT AND BLACK PANTS!!! Never again !!!!

I have visited this place several times in the past and have never encountered any issues entering the bar. However, during my last 2-3 visits, I have repeatedly been denied entry without a clear explanation. I would completely understand if this were due to a dress code or other stated policies, but that does not seem to be the case. The situation is quite confusing and disappointing.

The staff truly made the best of an unusual situation and helped create a pleasant atmosphere. The design of the restaurant is still stunning — visually refined and thoughtfully curated. However, compared to our first visit, the food fell short. Unfortunately, it was nowhere near the level we previously enjoyed, making the high prices feel unjustified this time around. There were also a few practical issues: the women’s bathroom door didn’t close properly, and one of the sinks was out of order — not what you’d expect in a place that presents itself as high-end. Lastly, waiting for an Uber afterward felt uncomfortable, as the entrance area didn’t feel particularly safe or well-lit, which left a lasting impression for the wrong reasons. In short, Papillon still has potential, but this visit left us unsure if we’ll be back again. The details — both in service and in setting — matter just as much as the food, and unfortunately, this time they missed the mark

I was really looking forward to a nice evening, but unfortunately the Papillon was a complete disappointment. The service was inattentive and almost seemed annoyed - as if they were intruding if you politely asked for something. The food? Completely carelessly prepared and tasted underground. My main course was lukewarm and the side dishes were soggy. The absolute low point: A long, dark hair in the middle of the meal. You really lose everything. When I reported this to the waiter, all I got was a tired “Oh, I'm sorry,” without any offer to replace the dish or show any other accommodating gesture.

Unfortunately the quality was not the same as before. The servant kept forgetting our orders. Half of the steak was medium well done and the other was medium rare. From such a known restaurant, I was expecting top service.

The Papillon really impressed me! From the stylish ambience to the attentive service to the outstanding cuisine – everything is just right here. The dishes are not only creative and tasteful, but also beautifully prepared. Special praise goes to Thuy – incredibly friendly, attentive and professional. She looked after us well throughout the evening and made the visit even more special with her charming manner. At the weekend, the atmosphere here is unbeatable – great music, cool people and an atmosphere that invites you to party. If you're looking for good food followed by a party in a stylish atmosphere, Papillon is the right place for you. I'll definitely be back!

I would like to share the deeply disappointing experience I had at this restaurant, which completely ruined what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. From the moment I arrived, the service was disorganized and unwelcoming. There was no one at the reception to greet or guide me, and when I asked a staff member inside to take my coat, he rudely replied that it wasn’t his job. I eventually found my table where my family was already seated. The menu offered very limited choices. We requested to have the ham removed from a pizza for dietary reasons, but the staff refused, claiming they couldn’t modify the dish. The manager, a blonde woman, responded in a rude and dismissive manner. Service was extremely slow, both in bringing the food and between courses. I had asked for my steak to be well done, but it was served rare. When I requested it to be cooked further, I was told—again rudely—that they were preparing a new one. However, after waiting 30 minutes, it was clear they had just reheated the same piece of meat. To make matters worse, the birthday cake I had specifically ordered was not respected—they brought a completely different one. Overall, the service was appalling, the staff were careless and rude, the food quality was average at best, and the prices were unjustified. This was absolutely the wrong place to celebrate a birthday, and it ended on a very negative note.

Unfortunately an absolute disappointment! There were four of us at the Papillon in Berlin and we all had stomach problems the next day - that doesn't speak for the quality of the drinks. The prices are completely exorbitant, especially considering the poor quality of the alcohol. The atmosphere? More appearance than reality. The store seems more like a catwalk for self-promoters than a bar for enjoyment. The guests and staff mostly seemed arrogant and arrogant. A better door policy is urgently needed. Definitely not a recommendation!

The food is ok, so the price is steep but that is to be expected given the location. Last weekend I was there with a few guests from Düsseldorf and Cologne. We left a lot of money to celebrate and also to eat. A friend of ours (over 25, appropriately dressed, very pretty and friendly) came a little later. Unfortunately, a bouncer approached her for no reason and told her to leave because she wasn't allowed in??!! After several polite inquiries about the exact reason, we were simply told that they didn't have to give us any information about this. I then asked the restaurant manager nicely if there was anything they could do - especially if you had a table and your food had already been ordered. Unfortunately, his answer was very cold: because they were separate areas and as a MANAGER he couldn't do anything but probably didn't want to. To be honest, I find it very rude and not particularly professional how we were treated - especially when you run an establishment like this. Everything could have been said in a more polite tone and offered “solutions” (for problems that didn't really exist), but that wasn't done. After the campaign I would advise anyone not to visit this restaurant. Given the price range, you can expect decent manners!

The atmosphere is cool, there is a dj, after a while it becomes more like a bar. However, we ordered some gin tonics, and in my opinion were overprice considering they didn’t served in the proper glass for gin tonics. I give the store one star because the operators take zero care of guests or calls etc. I made a reservation and paid €100 in advance. Then on New Year's Eve when I was standing in front of the door with my friend there was no entry. The people at the door are unreasonable, even though we have traveled 300km. And to prevent these things from happening, I called at least 25 times to clarify everything. Nobody even answered. Then I thought ok, everything will go smoothly. Wir waren auf Empfehlung in diesem Restaurant. Der Service war super, Ambiente war nicht so angenehm, auf schick gemacht, aber leider hört man die Bahn sehr stark. Speisen waren überdurchschnittlich teuer für die Qualität. Das Ambiente bekommt man in anderen Restaurants auch geboten nur noch mit guten Speisen.

Wir haben sehr lange auf die Hauptspeise warten müssen bis schon die Musik so laut war dass man sein eigenes Wort nicht mehr verstehen konnte. Zum Glück ging das Licht erst aus als wir gerade fertig waren (und es war noch nicht mal 23 Uhr). Die Bedienung hat uns nach der ersten Bestellung nicht einmal gefragt ob alles okay ist oder ob wir noch was trinken möchten. Also während wir 1,5 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet haben, saßen wir auf dem Trockenen. Schade.

So the situation is really terrible. The Zoo train station is really disgusting and you have to go straight past the homeless people to get to the restaurant. But once you're in the store, you think wow... something so fancy is hidden here? The ambience is great at first, but once you're at the table it's not so nice anymore. The sofa seats are terrible. At first you sit really low at the table and I felt like a child. Then the covers are soooo dirty, stained and you can see that they were there when people still smoked in bars because there are burn holes everywhere. That's not suitable for a restaurant like this, it's completely incomprehensible that it won't be renewed. The food was good, but not great. For the price I would expect better. The staff was very nice and friendly. I definitely won't go there again. There are much better restaurants.

ESSEN war soweit "sagen wir ok "- doch nicht der "HAMMER. "! PREIS-LEISTUNG waren nicht gegeben, ich denke hier besteht NOCH genügend Spielraum . Die ATMOSPHÄRE war durch den ungemütlichen Eindruck und der "viel zu lauten Musik nicht geeignet einen angenehmen und entspannten ABEND zu verbringen"- somit muss man fast schreien, um mit dem TISCHNACHBARN zu kommunizieren. Gespräche sind dadurch unmöglich, es sei denn die anderen-viel zu nah stehenden TISCHE werden dadurch Zeugen der UNTERHALTUNG. Somit hat man das Gefühl der kompletten ENTFREMDUNG zu seinem gegenübersitzenden Partner. Das nutzbare Valetparking sollte bei einem derartigen Haus "ALL INCLUSIVE " SEIN und nicht extra kostenpflichtig! ZUSAMMENFASSEND kann man feststellen, das "Große WOW " hat somit nicht stattgefunden ! SCHADE - WIR HATTEN UNS SO AUF DIESEN ABEND GEFREUT.

Papillon is a special place. Interior is absolutely stunning! The lighting makes you feel so warm and cozy but classy at the same time. The food - seriously talented chefs are cooking in that kitchen for sure. Every dish was a banger. After our meal we went and had cocktails at their bar, just wow!

At 11pm the lights are dimmed and the volume is turned up. It’s house music. About that time people are walking past you to get into the bar/club area of the place, like it or not. People are diverse; we had some ladies in ball gowns celebrating someone’s birthday and some fashion people as our neighbors. All in all: it was a fun night!

Gut aber nicht super. Essen top, aber war letztes Mal sogar besser. Sehr viel Personal, aber irgendwie stehen alle gefühlt nur rum und man wartet 30min auf‘n Drink, der dann 20€ kostet?! Schon sehr laut und die U- und S-Bahn macht es nicht besser. Also generell einen Besuch wert, aber mehr auch nicht besonders bei den Preisen.

We had a great evening on the very stylish terrace. The food was great, our waitress was super friendly and attentive and so it was a completely successful evening. The design inside and out is unparalleled in Berlin. We'll be back.

Beautiful atmosphere and very attentive staff. Unfortunately the food is not as good as it looks in the pictures on social media. The noodles are great, so we ordered them again straight away, but everything else is pretty average. Nevertheless, thanks to the entertainment program, you can spend a great evening with friends here. Order more to drink, less to eat.

Ambience, location and food were great!

Great atmosphere, great ambience! But we came to eat, among other things, and that was really bad, I'm sorry. We had the Papillon salad and a truffle pizza each. The pizza was indistinguishable from a frozen pizza. A little truffle on top e voila. It's a shame actually. My gin and tonic wasn't anything special either. I would have liked more here, some garnish on the glass or something similar. A great place to have a party. Thumbs down for food.

Unfortunately it's not a place I would return to, smoking is allowed in the place. The smell and smoke were unbearable. I don't recommend it.

I was there for the first time this weekend and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought you were just paying for the ambience, but the food and service are A1. In addition, you also have a great atmosphere after your meal. As soon as you are in Berlin, you should treat the Papillon to a visit.

It was my first time at Papillon and I immediately found the decor very nice. The terrace is also very airy with light furniture despite its small area. The selection of dishes really appealed to me and the starter salad was very tasty. The service was good - one star deducted because we were there at 6 p.m. and were sent away again because it didn't open until 7 p.m. that day. There was no information about this on the website or anywhere else and when we returned unfortunately there was no aperitif on the house. Sorry, but that's a no go.
