We are by now, regular customers, great place for eating fish or sea food in Berlin. We enjoy the service as well, there's a brasilian guy that's super nice and helpful.

This fish shop is highly recommended for anyone who loves fish! Very friendly and attentive service and super fresh fish that tastes truly exceptional! We'll definitely be back!

I've been enjoying going here for years and have never been disappointed. The food is always consistently delicious, the fish is always fresh, and I look forward to a visit every time. If you really like authentic fish and chips, this is the place for you.

Our group of 6 (ages 9-70) found this restaurant by chance and had a great meal and evening. The house wine was great, the seafood was fantastic, and the service was very friendly. If we lived in Berlin we would be regulars here for sure. Highly recommended.

We celebrated our 35-year friendship at the fish shop and had a wonderful evening. With a fine house white wine and superbly prepared fish dishes, we were able to fully enjoy the summer evening. The ambiance was pleasant, the service attentive and warm – just the thing for a special occasion. Highly recommended.

Love! Love! Der Fischladen. Have been here quite a few times already and every time was super. Came for an early lunch with my dog on a Sunday and ordered a small portion of Fish n Chips. Im English and yes the nostaglia of Fish n Chips gets the better of me sometimes and thankfully this place does not disappoint! Best! Fish n Chips around! Trust me on this ;) The Staff have always been friendly, and Roberto, the waiter that day ( hope! i remembered his name correctly) was perfectly professional and made me feel very very welcome. They have a wonderful selection of Fresh Fish and Seafood in Berlin, need more time to try it all!.......can only highly recommend! Der FIschladen!.. Hope to make it back again soon :)

If you're hungry for freshly prepared fish, this is the place to be. The menu offers a variety of fish dishes, so you're sure to find something you like. We'll keep this fish shop in mind for future visits. The only thing I missed was a freshly tapped beer, but they do have bottled beer and plenty of other beverages.

After the attendant knocked my bike over, her colleague first told me that the bike was positioned incorrectly, then proceeded to harass me and threaten me. You're crazy...

If you want to eat fish in Mediterranean style you should not go to this restaurant

We happened to be at your place, wanted to go to the cinema next door, and had some time. It was delicious.

Visited this restaurant today, encouraged by the many positive reviews. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed: 1) Inaccurate menu + poor price-to-quality ratio. The menu listed “grilled sea bream,” but it was actually pan-cooked with an excessive amount of oil—not grilled at all. The same applied to the “grilled Rotbarsch” (redfish). Furthermore, they served ketchup and mayonnaise in plastic "Heinz" packets, which felt so cheap for the price you pay. 2) Rude service. The waiter was openly unfriendly—we could feel his contempt in how he spoke and even looked at us. Still, I left a tip, and he didn’t even say “thank you.” :) Overall, I am very disappointed by this visit. There are plenty of much better restaurants in the area that deserve your time and money.

We spontaneously dropped in 40 minutes before closing time and were still served friendly, given advice on our order, and were able to eat in peace. It was truly delicious – I highly recommend it!

I just found an old receipt from this restaurant in Berlin I had the Bouillabaisse and a beer Even though it's been a while I have a wonderful memory of it I love eating fish and this fish-based dish was worth it Not to mention the price, excellent!

We stumbled upon this place by chance. A very appealing restaurant, an extremely attentive, friendly waiter, and the sea bream (which was served headless for us), the sauces with salad, and the fries were all very tasty. Absolutely reasonable value for money!

Es ist für mich ein etwas hochpreisiger Fisch-Imbiss an der Schwelle zu einem Restaurant an der Schönhauser Allee. Die Gerichte könnten mit etwas mehr Herzblut, Leidenschaft und vielleicht auch mit mehr Können zubereitet werden. Mich hat der Besuch nur mäßig überzeugt, der Spargel war leider zu hart, die Kartoffeln über das übliche Maß dunkelbraun gebacken, der Fisch war ok, mehr aber auch nicht - für 26 € hatte ich mir mehr erhofft.

La semana pasada cenamos en Der Fischladen como un grupo de 6. Estábamos sentados en la parte "Links vom Fischladen" del restaurante bajo la araña que se sentía muy especial para nuestra celebración de cumpleaños. Disfrutamos de un gran servicio de nuestro camarero Linus y estábamos tan contentos de que seguimos sus sugerencias de menú. Para empezar tuvimos ‘Hazlo tú mismo tártaro’ de Salmón y Atún. . el pescado estaba precioso y fresco, para luego condimentarlo a nuestro gusto con los acompañamientos. Seguimos el sarro con el plato de pescado, que era genial .. un montón de pescados diferentes servidos con ensalada crujiente y patatas fritas, servido con el propio restaurante etiquetado Reisling, que era ligero y crujiente, perfecto con el pescado. Buena relación calidad-precio, buena comida y servicio. Recomendamos encarecidamente.

Highly recommended! Both the fish and chips and the tricolore are delicious. The service is friendly and attentive. You're offered tap water instead of expensive still water. Conclusion: Definitely go back, or go to the Arminiusmarkthalle.

Really great products, I particularly liked the oysters, but the fish is also prepared to perfection. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly, authentic and incredibly fast service: I was there with my two small children (who also found good, crispy fries on the menu) and these were not seen as a nuisance, I found this extremely pleasant.

We would love to come back when we are in Berlin. Friends recommended the restaurant to us and we didn't regret it. Not only did the food look delicious, everything was fresh and plentiful. The service was phenomenal and very friendly. You can see the display at the entrance, which later ends up on the plate. Great value for money.

Didn't know you can have such quality fish in a city not not by a port

Service was super slow, cards arrived after 10 minutes, food (a portion of “simple” fish and chips, mind you) took a solid 45 minutes. We ordered a large portion to share. Fish and chips looked good at first, but then turned out to be relatively neutral, no finesse. The waitress said she would bring us two more plates, which never arrived. We didn't ask if it tasted good or if we wanted to drink something else. In addition, the employees regularly barked at each other, which could even be heard outside at the tables. They caused a lot of unrest. Unfortunately I would have expected a little more for the price. I'm happy to pay for quality, good service and a nice atmosphere, but it wasn't right either way.

Finding decent fresh fish in Berlin is like finding a great currywurst (yeah, ok, no such thing, but...) in Marseilles. To get 5* at €20 for a whole dorade (sea bream) all you gotta do is not overcook a fresh fish. But wait! Here you also get some really good bratkartofeln and salad. This fish was fresh before it did the Watusi on the chef's dancefloor. And it danced to perfection. Barely cooked on the bone. If the rest of the chef's work is like what I experienced today, then this is the best disco an ex fish can dance at.

The food is really delicious, everything is fresh and beautifully prepared. In particular, there are 4 different variations on the plate for the herring dish - wow! And you also have two versions of potato salad, so it's pretty versatile! The portions are pretty big too. And if you want to take fresh fish with you, there is plenty to choose from at the counter. The service is very friendly and quick. You'll be happy to come back there. Only the selection on the menu (especially drinks) could be a little larger.

Recommended by my son. The atmosphere was new for me, outside on the street at 8 p.m. behind me, the U2, warm weather, very good food. Only the two glasses of wine were too much for me for this area.

I come here occasionally for the fish & chips, absolutely recommended! Crispy batter and a super tender and juicy fish inside. You can choose between catfish, redfish, cod, etc. On every table there is a bottle of malt vinegar for the original English version with the vinegar on the fries 😊 I paid just under €28 for a large portion and a beer, card payment possible.

A stylish restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg with chandeliers and paisley wallpaper. We had a lovely starter of scallops and a comfort main course of fish & chips. The large portion was really big so I didn't finish the main course. Unfortunately the waiting time for the food was quite long. The service was still attentive, but a bit understaffed with one person. However, there is nothing wrong with the taste. From previous visits I can highly recommend the fish platters to share. A nice glass of Chablis completes the menu. But the menu also has a cool Flensburger ready if you want something a little more rustic in a glass. A highly recommended restaurant that we would like to visit again in the future.

This shop is my everything. One can get sashimi quality fresh salmon from ice for such a good price affordable for just an artist. And they give to my greyhound a small anchovy each time as a gift. How many years have I been coming here? Well, since the beginning. Back then it was the only decent fish and chups in all of Berlin and now it's simply the best. From catfish because I think it's so good. Small portion is enough and we keep coming back. Thank you!

As the black and white picture from the GDR era shows, we even knew the shop from before ... today it was the best fish menu you can get in Berlin ... the shop sells fresh fish at the front, which is then brought to the restaurant when ordered through the kitchen ... everything has its price, but it is completely justified, but not a star chic, but upper middle class ... with an excellent chablis ... plus a chic ambience, matching the Birthday feast... one of the best gastronomic experiences we've ever had... and the service? obrigado, obrigado! The best fish and chips I've had in Berlin so far. An absolute recommendation. However, the restaurant is often fully booked (not without reason), so I recommend making a reservation in advance if you want to come on weekend evenings!

1kg of sea bass aquaculture for about 25 euros heh??? Since when? What would I pay for wild catch for 1 kg, 60 euros? Plus, the price for the specific fish wasn't marked either. 2 weeks before, Wildfang had paid a normal price. Seems like they are arbitrary with the prices there..

A good place for fish and chips. Well fried in really hot oil, generous chips, nice range of sauces. But be careful where you book a table. There's a small cafe attached to the shop (Rechts vom Fischladen) and a comfy restaurant (Links vom Fischladen). Same food, same prices, not the same experience.

Update: I'm downgrading my old review because the restaurant has attempted to remove it from Google Maps already twice. After a second look, I realised there are barely any negative reviews which are recent, which is just unrealistic. I prefer restaurants that can handle a bit of criticism. Good food, but in my opinion the service is always disappointing. One of the regular waiters came off to me as rather unfriendly. We made a reservation online, however my name wasn't on the list when we showed up despite the confirmation and he seemed very annoyed & didn't make us feel welcome.. The other time we were passing by early in the evening, the restaurant was half empty. We asked the same waiter for a table, however he just said "ne" and walked away. Finally one time we ordered some food, but when we came to pick it up it turned out they didn't even start cooking (probably just forgot about it). So everything was cooked in a rush while we were waiting resulting in tuna being undercooked (which is quite expensive). Honestly, if not the convenient location and my desire to eat more fish, I wouldn't bother coming back after the first time.
