Food is fantastic, restaurant has a great atmosphere. However, waitress was very rude and not very attentive. Really let the dinner down.

The price-performance ratio is very good. The fried fish tastes excellent. But, in the end, you smell like you've been cooking yourself.

Unfortunately we had made a special reservation for the restaurant and were sent to the fish shop. The atmosphere here is ok, but not really nice and I don't understand why that isn't stated separately? We also had fruit flies everywhere. On the food, on the walls, on the table… unfortunately it was very unappetizing. The food was ok, but not outstanding. On average the dish cost €25, which I really don't think is appropriate. Too bad!

Good food, but service is always disappointing. One of the regular waiters is rather unfriendly. We made a reservation online, however my name wasn't on the list when we showed up despite the confirmation and he seemed very annoyed & didn't make us feel welcome.. The other time we were passing by early in the evening, the restaurant was half empty. We asked the same waiter for a table, however he just said "ne" and walked away. Finally one time we ordered some food, but when we came to pick it up it turned out they didn't even start cooking (probably just forgot about it). So everything was cooked in a rush while we were waiting resulting in tuna being undercooked (which is quite expensive). Honestly, if not the convenient location and my desire to eat more fish, I wouldn't bother coming back after the first time.

Long time ago I wrote a constructive review about my experience here. The restaurant even replied to me acknowledging the feedback and promising to do better. I really appreciated their response and kept coming back to the place either to dine in or for the takeout. YEARS later I've got an email from Google saying that my review was removed because the owner thinks it was "defamation". Their reply to me was also gone. Needless to say, I was speechless. Dear Fischladen, you're the only fish restaurant in the neighbourhood with good food in a good location and you always had pretty good reviews: do you really need to follow this shady tactic of attempting to remove reviews? Because of this disrespectful attitude towards your customers, I will never eat here again.

We had the freshly made fish and chips! Food quality is fresh and service is also fast and attentive.

Still great and friendly service - but I'm not sure if the chef or other staff have changed. This restaurant actually made me love seafood pasta - and I've never been much of a pasta fan. Today, the seafood in the pasta dish was good, but it lacked the certain something (perhaps cream, parmesan, or fresh pasta) that it had in the past. My partner was quite happy with the fish and chips and said they tasted great as always. We'll give it another try in the hope that it will become my favourite seafood place again.

So incredibly delicious! I love the Sicilian-style mussels (order extra spicy!). The staff is great, the prices are completely reasonable. The dessert lemon sorbet with limoncello is porn!

THE fish shop in Berlin! Starting with the welcome, consistently friendly and fast service, always helpful when choosing the dishes, flexible when requests for changes and absolutely customer-oriented. Rarely have oysters served as large as No. 3 I would have declared it as No. 1 classified. And these for only 3.50 euros each! The scallops together with the seaweed were more than just an appetizer delight and the grilled tuna not only impressed with its oversized portion, but was also grilled to medium rare. Plus a very well chilled Pouilly Fume, simply perfect. My companion chose the VIP fish & chips as the main course, an equally large portion that could have been shared between two people. Overall, a dinner where everything was right. Gladly again at any time!

Super delicious food, and very friendly service. The crispy cod burger is incredible! It was very busy at dinner time though, so consider booking a table.

Vom Ambiente her handelt es sich um einen etwas besseren Imbiß mit Verkaufstheke. Draußen sitzt man ganz nett, während man drinnen den vollen Fischgeruch abbekommt und die Kleidung nachher entsprechend riecht. Das Essen (2x Fish&Chips, Thunfisch-Tartar und Dorsch mit Bratkartoffeln) schmeckte gut, war zum Teil aber auch etwas flach, insbesondere der Dorsch. Handwerklich war alles gut zubereitet, aber von „Geheimtip“ würde ich hier nicht reden.

The fish of the fish and chips dish was good, albeit not English style. The chips were hardly edible, tasted totally prefab. Overall, the dish was good. However, my daughter had the spaghetti with shrimps and didn't like it much. It was bland, sauce was watery and it had a strong fishy taste.

The food was wonderful, sumptuous and delicious. Both waiters were extremely accommodating, very friendly (and really so pretty to look at ;) If you like salmon a little more well-done, you should specify this when ordering. The highlight is of course “The Fish Platter”, which, for example, should only be ordered for 4 people if there are 6 people, as it is very generous. Since we ate outside, the Schönhauser Allee acoustics were of course not great (people with poor hearing would prefer to eat in the restaurant), but we really liked the mix of fish shop and fish restaurant.

The oysters were amazing and delicious, but the rest of our order left us a bit disappointed. You can tell the fish is fresh and the food is good, but the prices are a bit steep for what you get. We will be back for the oysters

The perfect meal is NOT a matter of luck there, but rather standard. Quality and taste excellent! Changing inserts is no problem, of course WITHOUT surcharge! You can sit outside very nicely! Unfortunately, it has become very difficult to contact the staff because many of them don't understand a word of German. Incomprehensible in the capital of Germany. The service was very friendly, but also very uncoordinated. You get the feeling there are just too many people involved. December 2022, unfortunately the prices have risen quite a bit here too, including for the drinks! Das Lokal gehört zu einem Fischgeschäft. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an Fischgerichten für jeden Geschmack. Die Qualität des Essens war sehr gut und das Personal freundlich und aufmerksam. Man kann auch draußen sitzen, aber es ist eine vielbefahrene Straße.

There is only fish and nothing else. The food was super tasty. The portions are large. The staff is very friendly. There are tables outside, although on a busy street. Highly recommended for fish lovers.

Friday - afternoon 2:30 p.m. Seriously special! I and we always feel very comfortable here in this place. The service is particularly courteous and friendly, and the kitchen conjures up the most delicious dishes using fresh ingredients. From arriving, staying, enjoying real Berlin neighborhood cuisine with delicious! BAM!

Unfortunately, the taste of the fish didn't impress us. Everything was a little unseasoned and didn't taste like anything. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio wasn't right either. Shrimp with fries 27 euros is a bit excessive in our opinion. Have eaten better fish for less money.

I went there for my birthday. Oyster was perfect, wine also perfect, service good but calamaris were a little bit burned. Too fried. The calamari were fresh but lost in the almost burned and too crispy cover. Also too fat, there was a lot of oil in the bottom of the dish. Fish and chips in English style not suppose to be that fat and brown. Hope next time is better.

There aren't that many restaurants in Berlin that specialize in fish, so I was very happy about a friend's recommendation. The menu is very large and we stuck to basics and ordered fish & chips. It was very tasty - nice and crispy on the outside and fish very juicy and soft. The only thing that isn't so ideal is the loud street. (Ubahn, S-Bahn, cars, emergency services...). Their description says cash only, but they also take credit cards.

Wonderful fish restaurant all around. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere even on the terrace towards the always busy Schönhauser Allee and great food. My wife had the Kalmar & Shrimps (per her request without garlic) and I had the Wolfsbarsch (Sea Bass), which was simply put wonderfully delicious and quite large as well. That Sea Bass was priced at 25 Euros - worth every Cent. I think I may have a new favorite dish for eating out in the area. This wasn't our first visit and certainly not our last one either. Wonderful place. Give it a try, if you get the chance.

We have eaten at the fish shop several times. No matter whether it was bouillabaisse, fish & chips or a few cheeky oysters, the food was always good and tasty! Yesterday, Saturday, we decided to just stop by for a drink and some oysters. In fact, it was too late in the evening so the oysters were already sold out. No problem. Even though we only stayed for one drink, the waiter was really nice and genuine with us. In general, it has to be said that the waiters there always act in a positive manner. Gastro and the customer service that comes with it is tough, I find it admirable to always meet authentic characters in the fish shop. Yes, the prices are slightly higher. But ultimately we all know that food costs have risen, fair wages have to be paid and probably a Berlin-esque spicy rent. We always like to come back.🦪 (The photo is from September 2023).

not recommended! We went to the fish shop on Saturday. Were first ignored and then (after 30 minutes) extremely passive aggressively received. Service was terrible, fries were way too expensive. bad price-performance ratio!!! yuppie shop. Restaurant opposite: super nice. With kind regards

A bit chilly from the atmosphere but the fish & chips were very good. Crispy breading and juicy fish. I don't quite understand why Catfish is called "classic", since classic is fish & chips from the UK with Cod and then fried Catfish was created in the USA. It was tasty nonetheless.

I've been to the food fish shop twice now, the quality for a good fish restaurant with sales was always at the highest level...now you've managed to top the quality and freshness again. The price-performance ratio is high, also thanks to increased costs. But if you are looking for a good restaurant with very good fish sales, this is the place for you. I myself am a restaurateur and can judge both, the service and cooking are both really outstanding. A visit is strongly recommended. Keep it up dear fish shop.

Steinbeisser fillet, tender as butter with roasted potatoes and a balanced side salad and toasted bread. Plus a Riesling. Vi nød rigtig dejlig fisch and chips, GB. Vi spurgte tjeneren hvilke fisk det var, det vidste han ikke🥹. Vi har aldrig fået fisch and chips i GB uden sauce tatare. Her fik vi ketchup sursød sovs, og noget “remoulade”. Det var glimrende mad, dejlig kold hvidvin etc. Vi havde en god aften.

Entertaining server and cosy seating with fresh food however the dishes I ordered left something to be desired. The scallops came with what tasted like a canned seaweed salad and the calamari on the salad was a bit chewy. Excellent Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire valley though
