Die Dame an der Kasse verdrehte die Augen, murmelte etwas vor sich hin und seufzte laut, als wir zunächst nicht verstanden, was sie uns über das bestellte Essen fragen wollte.

Vorsicht , da sind Kakerlaken im Laden !!!!!!!!!! KVR muss da unbedingt reinschauen !!!!!

Wir warteten 20 Minuten nach unserer Bestellung, nur um festzustellen, dass sie unsere Bestellung gar nicht aufgenommen hatte. Und dann dauerte es weitere 30 Minuten, bis das Essen kam. Es gab keine Entschuldigung, obwohl es sich so anfühlte, als ob es unsere Schuld wäre. Von Gastfreundschaft konnte keine Rede sein. Ich hätte zumindest ein kostenloses Getränk oder Ähnliches erwartet.

Ich bin heute hierher gekommen und habe einige Gerichte probiert. Ich finde, dass der Preis von 19 € für einen sehr kleinen Teller nicht gerechtfertigt ist, und der Geschmack ist auch nicht wirklich herausragen

Früher eine top Adresse für ein authentisches Thai Erlebnis 🙏🏽 Mittlerweile sind wir keine Stammkunden mehr, da die Portionen immer kleiner werden bei steigenden Preisen, mehrmals zum mitnehmen falsches Essen mitgegeben. Dafür gibt es zu starke Konkurrenz in der Nähe.

Wir standen fünf Minuten lang vor dem Restaurant, ohne dass die Besitzerin ein Wort mit uns wechselte. Als wir bestellen wollten, ignorierte sie uns völlig. Ein furchtbares Restaurant.

Authentisches Flair, aber kulinarisch mit Luft nach oben 🍜🇹🇭 Wer das Krua Thai betritt, fühlt sich durch die farbenfrohen Wandgemälde sofort in einen thailändischen Straßenimbiss versetzt – das Ambiente ist wirklich 'nice' und versprüht Urlaubsstimmung. Kulinarisch war mein Besuch jedoch eher durchwachsen. Das Pad Thai vegetarisch war geschmacklich gut und die Portion in Ordnung. Ein großes Ärgernis ist jedoch die Preisgestaltung: Auf der Website wird es für 6,50 € beworben, im Laden kostet es dann 10,00 €. Für diesen Preis ist die Portionsgröße grenzwertig. Die Reisnudeln mit Meeresfrüchten (17,00 €) waren geschmacklich solide, aber die Meeresfrüchte selbst waren enttäuschend – geschmacklos und wirkten fast wie Pressfleisch. Wer die echte thailändische Garküche kennt, wird hier vermutlich nicht ganz glücklich. Fazit: Schönes Ambiente für einen schnellen Snack, aber Vorsicht bei den Preisen – diese weichen deutlich von der Online-Karte ab! 💸🥢

Leckeres und frisches thailändisches Essen zu recht günstigen Preisen. Scharfe Soße steht am Tisch bereit, um den Schärfegrad individuell anzupassen. Viele vegetarische Gerichte sind ebenfalls erhältlich.

Der Service ist unfreundlich bis unverschämt. Die Portionsgröße und Fleischqualität hat meiner Meinung nach wenig mit den hohen Preisen zu tun. Für so einen Preis gibt es z.B. im Yum2take BioFleisch, größere Portionen und Restaurantatmosphäre und Qualität. Gehypter Kiosk dank Social Media.

Dieses thailändische Restaurant ist preisgünstig, aber die Qualität der Gerichte schwankt. Schade, dass der Koch Thailänder ist; er hätte das Essen sicher viel besser zubereiten können.

Ich schreibe das gerade, während ich auf mein Essen zum Mitnehmen warte – der Kundenservice ist wirklich unterirdisch. Ich bin gerade erst in München angekommen und hatte den ganzen Tag kaum etwas gegessen. Ich war total ausgehungert und freute mich riesig auf etwas zu essen. Ich sah diesen Laden, ging hinein, um zu bestellen, und da die Speisekarte auf Deutsch war, was ich nicht verstehe, brauchte ich ein paar Minuten, um sie zu studieren. Ich konnte sehen, wie die Dame an der Kasse immer frustrierter wurde (obwohl niemand hinter mir wartete). Schließlich bestellte ich, und als ich mit Apple Pay bezahlen wollte, knallte sie mir ein Schild vom Tresen mit der Aufschrift „Nur Barzahlung“ entgegen. Ehrlich gesagt hätte ich es wohl sehen müssen, da es recht groß war. Also entschuldigte ich mich und sagte, ich käme wieder. Nachdem ich etwas Bargeld abgehoben hatte, kam ich zurück, bestellte erneut und bezahlte. Nachdem sie mir den Beleg gegeben hatte, öffnete ich Google Translate und gab so etwas wie „Wie lange?“ ein, um abzuschätzen, ob ich die Stadt erkunden oder lieber warten sollte, bis das Essen fertig war. Als ich ihr den Beleg auf Deutsch zeigte, rastete sie regelrecht aus, schrie und tobte, fuchtelte mit den Armen und knallte mir die Belege ihrer anderen Bestellungen vor die Füße. Vielleicht lag es an der Sprachbarriere, vielleicht hatte sie einfach einen langen Tag, keine Ahnung, aber es war wirklich übertrieben. Jetzt bleibt mir nichts anderes übrig, als auf das Essen zu warten und zu gehen, aber egal, wie gut oder schlecht das Essen ist, es lohnt sich meiner Meinung nach nicht, sich das Erlebnis so verderben zu lassen.

Ich hab so die Schnauze voll von Läden, wo man nur Bar zahlen kann.

Der von mir bestellte Papaya Salat (14€!) war klein und enthielt nur winzige Mengen von Papaya. Als ich zur Kasse ging und bemerkte, dass ich den Salat äußerst scharf fände ( mit 1 von 3 Chilischoten gekennzeichnet), reagierte die Dame sehr unfreundlich. Ich bat um eine Schüssel Reis dazu, um das Gericht essen zu können, was mich 2,50 € kostete. Hierher komme ich bestimmt nie wieder.

Leider sind die Mensch dort sehr unfreundlich...man kriegt sie partout nicht zum Lächeln. Das Pad Thai war leider sehr süß, ich denke mal es war viel Zucker als Geschmacksverstärker drin...

Unfreundlichste Bedienung und das von einer Thai Frau. Ich bin selbst Thailänder aber man sieht es mir nicht wirklich an. Auf die Frage ob sie den Reis in drei extra Schüsseln servieren kann damit wir die zwei Gerichte teilen können hieß es das es nicht geht. Normalerweise kann jedes Restaurant oder Imbiss einrichten aber als ich nochmal fragte fluchte diese kleine Dame auf Thai das wenn ich Probleme habe sie mir eine Ohrfeige geben würde. Daraufhin antwortete ich ihr auf Thai das ich sie verstehe und ob sie das eigentlich ernst meint. Sie wunderte sich natürlich und sagte das wäre zuviel Arbeit 😄 naja das war das letzte Mal. Die Preise sind für ein Imbiss zum Teil teurer als in einem nobleren Restaurant. Dann lasse ich mein Geld Lieder da wo man guten Service bekommt und ich lasse immer 10/20 Prozent Trinkgeld aber sorry unhöfliche kleine Frau- du kriegst kein Cent mehr von mir.

Für uns gehört dieser kleine Imbiss zu den besten und authentischsten Läden, in denen wir außerhalb Thailands gegessen haben. Die Küche ist richtig gut und alles wird frisch zubereitet – das schmeckt man einfach. Die Gerichte sind super aromatisch und mit viel Liebe gemacht. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert! Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder, wenn wir in der Nähe sind, um noch weitere Speisen zu probieren. Kleiner Hinweis: Hier ist nur Barzahlung möglich (Cash only).

Ich war heute leider aufgrund einer Empfehlung dort!!! Als Vorspeise Tom Ka Gai Suppe 6€ Dann die Hauptspeise Pad Tai mit Rindfleisch 14€. Leider war das nicht authentisch Thailändisch! Tom Ka Gai fehlt die Schärfe und richtige Würze. Der Pad Thai mit Rindfleisch nicht weich zu Gummihaft, hatte kein Geschmack und die richtige Schärfe wie in Thailand. Außerdem waren die Glasnudeln sehr hart, das wurde nicht ausreichend gekocht! Das warvwirkkich hart. Der Service die Dame an der Kasse war ok aber mit den Handschuhen hat sie da Gemüse vorne geschnitten und Geld kassiert, hygienisch ist das nicht gewesen. Nach meiner Bestellung bekam ich die beiden Gerichte sofort nach nicht mal 3 Minuten. Dann sagte ich auch, warum beides gleich kommt, sie konnte nicht antworten oder konnte nicht so viel Deutsch. Die Tische wurden auch nicht sauber gewischt. Da hätte ich gleich gehen müssen eigentlich. Das ist nicht thailändisch bin sehr enttäuscht!! Ich habe dann mitgenommen und draußen verschenkt! Es gibt nur Barzahlung.

Richtig authentisches Restaurant. Sehr freundliches Personal und das Essen war unglaublich. Wir hatten Bamee Pad Kee Mao (wow) und Pad See Ew Pak auch seeehr gut. Werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen <3

Toller authentischer Laden! Ich hatte die Nr. 22 und war sehr begeistert. Man bestellt und bezahlt vorne an der Theke und bekommt dann das Essen zum Tisch gebracht. Man fühlt sich kurz wie in Thailand. Das Essen war sehr gut gewürzt und hatte eine tolle Qualität. Achtung, nur Barzahlung.

Hier habe ich mit das authentischste Thai-Essen in München gegessen. Das Pad Kra Pao war wirklich köstlich. Der größte Nachteil ist allerdings die schreckliche Atmosphäre (schlechte Gerüche, beengte Sitzplätze, unbequeme Stühle). Ich würde empfehlen, das Essen mitzunehmen, denn es ist wirklich sehr lecker.

Wirklich authentisches Thai-Essen, köstlich. Aber eine Angestellte schreit und redet ständig sehr laut, was wirklich unangenehm ist. Außerdem riecht es im Restaurant stark nach Tigerbalsam oder so ähnlich, was ebenfalls unangenehm ist. Und: Nur Barzahlung möglich.

Das Lokal ist sehr klein, daher können nicht viele Gäste gleichzeitig Platz finden. Da es sich um ein Imbiss handelt, ist das aber kein Problem. Die Einrichtung wirkt freundlich und einladend, die Atmosphäre ist angenehm und unkompliziert. Das Essen war für mich das absolute Highlight. Mir hat alles, was wir bestellt hatten, sehr gut geschmeckt, und die Portionen sind großzügig, sodass man garantiert satt wird. Ein gebratenes Nudelgericht war mir allerdings etwas zu schwer. Vielleicht lag es einfach daran, dass es frittiert war, aber es entsprach nicht ganz meinem Geschmack. Ich freue mich schon darauf, wiederzukommen und mir beim nächsten Mal Pad Thai zu bestellen. Man sollte nur beachten, dass dort nur Bargeld akzeptiert wird, was etwas schade ist.

Ihr Verhalten war absolut unmöglich. Sie setzten mich neben die Toilette. Ihre eigene Aussprache war grauenhaft, und trotzdem versuchten sie noch, die Aussprache anderer zu korrigieren. Unverständlich.

Schlechter Service und ungenießbares Essen. Das Essen schmeckte abgestanden, und es war nur ein einziger Gast zum Abendessen da. Zwei Personen mit Gepäck, aber man konnte uns keinen Tisch für vier Personen anbieten, obwohl das Restaurant um 20:30 Uhr leer war und nur ein weiterer Gast da war.

Unfreundliche Kassiererin (hört nicht zu, was die Kunden wollen), der Geruch im Laden ist widerlich, ich glaube, er kommt von Ratten. Der Geschmack ist mittelmäßig.

Die Verkäufer verhalten sich ihren Kunden gegenüber etwas heimatverbunden. Das Essen ist eher durchschnittlich. Ich empfehle stattdessen das thailändische Restaurant Nopphakao Thai gegenüber, in der Nähe des Ibis Hotels. Dort schmeckt es viel besser und der Service ist deutlich angenehmer. Die Verkäufer sind nicht aufdringlich.

Das beste Pad Kra Pao in München. Es ist ein Imbiss, bietet aber auch Sitzplätze, also sollte man kein besonderes Ambiente erwarten. Das Essen entschädigt dafür aber allemal.

Sehr authentisch Thai. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut und die Preise sind fair. Allerdings kann man nur bar bezahlen und bei Gericht 29 ist jede 2. Woche die Soße aus und deshalb gibt es das Gericht nicht. Die Dame ist mäßig freundlich.

I’ve been to so many different cafes and restaurants in different countries, and everyone has always been very respectful to me. This one, however, was the rudest and most disrespectful experience I’ve had in my whole life. My friend and I were really looking forward to visiting this place during our first time in Munich, but the old lady sitting at the entrance ruined it for us. It was July 26, 2025, and the weather was rainy. My friend and I walked from our hotel to finally have lunch after a long day of not eating anything. When we wanted to enter, the lady shouted at my friend, pointing at her umbrella (which was closed), saying not to enter and to leave the umbrella next to the door. My friend apologized and put the umbrella there, but the lady kept shouting. Then she shushed us and said, “be quiet”—mind you, she was the one talking non-stop and shouting. I told her she was being rude and disrespectful, and then she shooed us out in the most disrespectful way possible, saying, “get out”!!!!! I told her she was very rude and left immediately with my friend. Her facial expressions and body language were beyond rude. I’m glad we prioritized our dignity instead of sitting there and having lunch. We walked for a couple of minutes and found another Asian restaurant nearby, and the people there treated us in the most welcoming and respectful manner.

Krapao tastes authentic. The owner is not as welcoming as considering being a Thai.

Ordered the Gaeng Massaman and Guay Tiew Moo Tom Yam. The Massaman was too salty, even with white rice (which was dry and not fluffy as one comes to expect of Thai rice or rice cooked by an Asian). Strongly suspect most of the flavour came from MSG. The Guay Tiew Moo Tom Yam was anything but Tom Yam. It had 2 chillis on the menu, indicating a reasonable amount of heat. Mine had as much heat as a Bavarian winter. Either the chef cannot cook Tom Yam or aunty gave me the pork soup Guay Tiew (which is €2 cheaper but charged me for the Tom Yam version, and no it wasn’t a mis-order cos she wrote down item 38 on the order chit and showed it to me to confirm the Tom Yam version cos she spoke only Thai and German, and I spoke neither). Oh yes, be prepared for your bean sprouts (tau geh) to come complete with their black shells still on. Yup. And yes, the other reviews are right - lady boss is very grouchy. She only banters with her Thai-speaking customers and was very impatient with me. It took a bit of back and forth before she whipped out the English menu (and yes, I asked). Cash only, which is a tad troublesome but she warns you beforehand. So go and eat there by all means if you’re craving Thai food or like us, was after some Asian food after two weeks of sausages and schnitzel. But go mentally prepared. (My vote goes to Noodle King a few doors down.)

This is definitely a restaurant I really can't recommend to anyone. We went to this Thai restaurant today and ordered very clearly and unequivocally to the waitress: We wanted the roast duck noodles and the pork rice. We specifically emphasized several times that we definitely didn't want coriander because we're allergic to it. We actually said it twice. And what happened? When the food arrived, there was still coriander in the fried noodles, and instead of duck, there was chicken in them. When we confronted the waitress about it, she not only acted like it was our fault, but also became downright rude. She outright claimed we ordered the wrong thing. After we told her again that we explained everything in detail, she became really rude and demanded that we pay an extra 3 euros if we really wanted the meal without coriander and with duck. We grudgingly paid the 3 euros, but her behavior was still absolutely outrageous. At the end, she even told us to "Go away!" as if we were bothering her. Absolutely unacceptable! And as if that wasn't enough, even after we finally left the restaurant, we could still hear the waitress ranting on inside. So if you like rude service, incorrect orders, and extra charges for mistakes that weren't your fault—well, this is the place for you. Ironically, complaints here seem to be met with even more complaining. Unbelievable.

A Thai restaurant run by a Thai chef. The place feels casual, not like a formal restaurant. You order, pay, and wait for your food, semi self-service style. There are various Thai dishes to choose from at a reasonable price. Tables may be limited during rush hour.

Krua Thai in Munich is a true insider tip for lovers of Thai cuisine. The food is excellent and authentic, almost as if you were dining at a street food eateries in Bangkok. Here, the food isn't just cooked; it's a culinary experience. ​A huge plus is the option to order takeout, so you can enjoy the delicious flavors at home. ​An important note: Krua Thai only accepts cash payments, so it's advisable to bring enough cash with you in advance. ​If you're looking for authentic, authentic Thai food, this is the place to go. Casual family-styled diner that serves you hot and tasty food. The space inside is not too big so it may not be the most comfotable to sit inside. But for a quick bite in the vicinity of the main station, this is a great choice. The prices are reasonable. The rice and noodles were good, but they went really heavy on the oil. The Tom Kha Gai was nothing interesting---even a bit disappointing, would not recommend that.

The food is truly authentic, for example, papaya salad with fermented crab. I also had a pork steak with a special chili, garlic, and lime leaf dip. It was super spicy and delicious. But there are also dishes suitable for Germans that you can get at a standard Asian snack bar. Thais work here. Unfortunately, it's too expensive for the atmosphere and service.

Here, the chef himself is still behind the stove! Coming from near Ayutthaya, he has a knack for the culinary arts, having already demonstrated this in Thai restaurants in Munich before opening his own snack bar on Dachauer Straße. The extensive menu features classic Thai dishes, which can also be prepared with Thai spice upon request. The menu is tailored entirely to the customer's tolerance. There's also a à la carte menu, written only in Thai. It's likely that it contains dishes that Central Europeans don't order very often. Anyone who has ever been to Thailand and visited the street stalls and small shops there will feel transported there by the decor and, of course, the smells at Krua Thai. In summer, there are additional tables on the sidewalk, which increases the chances of finding a seat for a longer stay. For me, the prices here are absolutely reasonable. My favorite is the beef with Thai basil and fried egg.

The best Thai food nearby main train station!! The food was tasty! ordered 3 items: 1. pad kra pao (thai basil chicken) its similar to the one i had in BKK even the greasy crispy fried egg, perfectly cooked! 2. fried rice, its quite tasty and flavorful 3. fried chicken with sautee vege in oyster sc served with jasmine rice, its not bad quite yum yum they serve the condiments like slice chilli in fish sc, pickled slice chili, sugar for pad thai and dried chili which its not normally served on the table in EU The service was warm even though the staff cant speak english at all, only in german and thailand of course! Deft One of the asia rest you have to visit in Munich!

Good Thai restaurant near Munich Central Station. Affordable prices, fast service, delicious food. The taste of the dishes is not spicy, there is a piquancy and sweetness inherent in Thai cuisine. They only accept cash for payment, which is something to keep in mind when coming here.
