Very friendly, prompt, and attentive service, the food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable and fair for a tourist hotspot.

We hiked up the mountain in the heat and discovered that you had to pay to enter the castle to get into the restaurant. Furthermore, there was no way to download the menu online or get any information about the food. A waste of time.

The panoramic view of the Moselle bend is undoubtedly the main factor that attracts customers here. It's undeniable that it's pleasant to savor delicacies or leisurely sip a glass of wine with such a landscape at your disposal. And it must be admitted that the restaurant's sweets were truly decent. They might not have been particularly impressive, but they served as a relaxing element and complemented the sweet Riesling, making the visit a satisfying one.

E güeter Schnitzel with a magnificent view of the Moselle Valley from the panoramic terrace of Burg Metternich. I highly recommend it; it was a wonderful experience.

Very nice view of the Moselle and a wonderful outdoor area. We were able to sit on the terrace on a sunny summer day and enjoy the view of the Moselle with a cold beer and good food. I can recommend the wine aspic with fried potatoes, and the price/performance ratio at this restaurant is absolutely fair!

Great location, the staff quick and friendly. The vegan currywurst was delicious, but could have used a little more curry and frying time (for my taste buds). Price slightly increased in line with local prices.

Beautiful viewpoint over the Moselle

The panoramic terrace “Fürst Metternich” is located in Metternich Castle. We treated ourselves to dinner here. The food was very good and the service was very friendly. The breaded schnitzel was nice and crispy, the fries were great. The sausage salad was very good, but with lots of vegetables. Above all, the view is beautiful. The toilet house at the “Fürst Metternich” panoramic terrace is actually the cleanest and most new toilet that we have experienced in a week in the Moselle. You are welcome to throw a tip into the installed cash box.

Wonderful view of Beilstein and the Moselle. The onion cake was €5.80, the worst I've ever eaten. Dry late harvest wine was €7.50, and 0.20 was forgettable. Friendly service.

We were there on May 29th, 2023 and everyone was thrilled. I had the asparagus with schnitzel and potatoes, super tasty. The children had cream schnitzel and my husband had the spit roast, everyone was very satisfied. The quantity was completely sufficient and the plates were beautifully prepared. The food came very quickly, which particularly pleased the children :). We came with a dog and we were immediately brought a bowl of fresh water for the dog, which we have never experienced before, very nice. The staff was very nice, we weren't there for the last time, just because of the beautiful terrace with a fantastic view. The castle is very well maintained and it's really fun to spend time there. The only thing that isn't ideal is that it's very difficult and tiring to get up to the castle with a stroller. It's not possible for people with wheelchairs, which I think is a shame. Really great location, a sandpit for the little guests, friendly service. But from a strawberry cup for just under €9 I expect more than just 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream (in my opinion, industrially produced), a few strawberries and cream...

We had a chicken breast here. The quality of the meat was so low. It‘s like one of those 1,99 from supermarkets. But it cost us 15 euros. Also the portion was so small. I will never come here!

We were there at the beginning of September 2022. It's rare to be able to eat with a view like this, it's impossible to put into perspective in terms of monetary value. The climb is not too long and is easy to walk - provided you have perfect physical mobility. The reviews, some of which were very negative, initially made us doubt whether we should eat there. But that has not been confirmed. The quality of the food was good, the selection was sufficient - including desserts. The service was also good. You won't come here for the food alone, but combined with the view, it's outstanding. An absolute Moselle highlight. Beilstein and Cochem are tourist magnets. Especially at lunchtime, it's like a bird strike in Beilstein. However, many of the older Beilstein visitors can no longer make it up to the castle, which means it is nowhere near as crowded up there as in the town below.

Sensationeller Ausblick- Preis-/ Leistung eher auf dem Touristen Prinzip - kommen schauen zahlen und morgen kommen neue Gäste - da geht noch bisschen was nach oben

Großartiger Blick über das Moseltal. Leider war das Essen qualitativ und geschmacklich bis auf den akzeptablen Eiskaffe grenzwertig. „Tagliatelle Vegi“ hatten nichts mit einem Nudelgericht zu tun. Es handelte sich um ein ungewürztes Omelett mit einigen wenigen eingebackenen Nudeln. Obwohl explizit als vegetarisch gekennzeichnet, fanden sich in einer von zwei Portionen kleinere Schinkenstücke. No go! Zwei Kellner zeigten dazu kein Bedauern, geschweige denn eine Entschuldigung oder Wiedergutmachung. Auf den Wunsch zum alten trockenen Graubrot Butter zu erhalten, wurde ein winziges Mitleidspaket gebracht. Leider dennoch eine schöne Burg.

For the views, they get a solid 4 stars. Coffee was fine and desserts were pretty good.

Great view and nicely decorated terrace. I had a glass of the rosé wine, which was lovely. And the goulash soup was tasty.

Had a fantastic lunch here; the small side salad and the Jägerschnitzel I ordered were absolutely delicious and the service was extremely quick and friendly. With an amazing view of the vineyards below from a heated tent on a chilly day, we couldn't have been more pleased with our visit to Burg Metternich.

Ich kann die schlechten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen... Megatolle Panorama-Aussicht, aufmerksames Personal, leckere Speisen, das alles zu annehmbaren Preisen. Etwas störend, durch Corona bedingte kleine Wartezeiten, da die Tische nach jedem Gast desinfiziert wurden.

Imbiss mit super Ausblick. Haben nur ein großes Bier getrunken. War alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit.
