Hotel Haus Lipmann in Ellenz-Poltersdorf

A charming, sweet and historic hotel. Upon arrival the owner of the place was kind and helpful with my bags. The dinner was beyond delicious. Soup with dumplings and the French steak. The potatoes were golden and crispy. Our room overlooks the charming town.

The Hotel Lippmann has the most beautiful place on the Moselle. In the middle of the special town of Beilstein with its old houses, the wonderful market square and the TV stairs to climb to the roof of Beilstein and next to the Moselle. Boat tours along the Moselle possible at any time. The terrace with wine under a wonderful vine canopy and the roundabout where you can sit and enjoy the red Wingerts peaches are a treat for the soul.

Magnifiques chambres avec une excellente literie. Par beau temps, la grande terrasse jouxtant la Moselle vous permet de manger dans un décor inhabituel. La nourriture est bonne mais peu variée. Beilstein est un village hyper touristique. Il y a donc énormément de monde en journée.

Na ja ! Wir haben September 2024 eine Ampel Regierung und 19% MwSt in der Gastronomie. Aber für eine Tagesempfehlung (Tagesessen) Schnitzel mit Pfifferlingen 29,50€ pro Person finden wie mehr als überteuert. Moselwein ein Riesling 0,2 - 6,90 € / 4 x Schoppen 27,60€ , eine Flasche Mineralwasser für 7,90€ ist meine Meinung nach zu viel verlangt. Mit Nachtisch und Trinkgeld sind wir 120€ leichter geworden. Tolle Gegend, schöneTerrasse mi Aussicht ohne Zweifel aber ein paar Kilometer weiter oder davon gibt auch was schönes zu sehen nur wesentlich günstiger!

I was only in the restaurant on the terrace and not in the hotel. The restaurant is beautiful and when the weather is nice you have a very nice view of the Moselle and the mountains from the terrace. There are very tasty wines and we all really enjoyed the food. There are different maps at the times of day. The lunch menu doesn't have large portions, but the taste is very convincing. The price is a bit high but completely appropriate for the experience. Gladly again.

Hospitable environment with exceptional people and food!!

We went here for dinner on a September Sunday. It tasted great. The food was visually very attractively prepared. The service was very quick and super friendly. We were here for the second time and will come again. 😄

Wat een geweldig hotel,alles klopt van de kamer tot de bediening tot het restaurant. Ik heb in veel hotels geslapen maar deze behoort absoluut tot de top. Ruime kamers met een geweldig uitzicht (in de kamer waar wij zaten).de anders kamers weet ik niet. De bediening is zo vriendelijk en behulpzaam daar kan menig hotel een voorbeeld aan nemen. De ligging is top. Het restaurant heeft een goede kaart met veel Duitse gerechten.

We had lunch at the restaurant and that was amazing! We were seated pretty quickly and staff were friendly and helpful. I had chicken salad with potatoes which was creamy and yummy! My husband ordered Sulze (pork with tartar sauce) and he liked it!

Great place to have a drink on the terrace. Location, view of the Moselle, great! Ambiance is designed in atmosphere; beautiful grapes. Super good (friendly and firm) service. And the quality of wine and juice is also good! I understand why this family business has survived for so long. Really great! A bit pricey, but that's okay for this quality!

We had the pleasure of enjoying the arrangement “A quick visit to Lipmann's in the Hotel “Am Klosterberg” at the Hotel Lippmann in Beilstein and we were completely thrilled. The breakfast was exceptionally varied and of the highest quality – a perfect start to the day. That We had dinner in the old customs house on the Moselle terrace, and it was simply a poem. We were served excellent wines that perfectly rounded off the experience. We would particularly like to emphasize the warmth and attentiveness of the hosts. Due to back problems, we asked for the bed to be made a little harder. What can I say? This wish was immediately granted and we slept wonderfully. Our every need was met immediately and the service was extremely friendly. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. We can fully recommend the Hotel Lippmann and will definitely come back!

A warm welcome, a beautiful, spacious double room with a spacious and wonderful shower. Everything very clean and tidy. Daily cleaning. Beautiful view of the Moselle (and even a beautiful view from the bathroom window). Delicious and extensive breakfast with fresh coffee and fresh eggs (however you want them). You will be amazed by the room where the breakfast buffet can be enjoyed with an appropriate Efteling sound in the background. Very friendly staff. Free parking within walking distance. Very nice and beautiful environment. Plenty of restaurants in the area with beautiful views. We will certainly remember this hotel.

Het terras aan de Moezel, waar je anders zou verwachten, maar waar het gewoon uitstekend toeven is 👍🏻 De service is uitstekend, mooie complete menukaart en top wijntjes. Wij hadden een Winzer en Kase Teller gecombineerd met spiessbraten voor de jeugd, alles tip top, mooie porties. Helaas geen foto’s gemaakt maar hier komen we zeker een keertje terug!

This was the last hotel we stayed at during our 2 week trip to southern Germany. The hotel was so charming. The rooms were clean, spacious and the staff was very accommodating and kind. We had breakfast there each morning and dinner one of the nights while there. Food was very good as well as excellent service. You can walk up to Metternich Castle and we enjoyed a drink on their terrace with beautiful views. Our room had a great view of the Mosel River. Such a charming town. Highly recommend this family owned and run hotel.

Only the restaurant is rated here: really great Moselle terrace, partly covered, everything covered with vines; Attractive menu, also with many smaller dishes and salads, ideal for a stop in between meals. Prices are slightly higher, but the location, ambience, the town of Beilstein and the quality of the food justify this. Clear recommendation!

Beilstein zelf is een ideale tussenstop op een fietstocht langs de Moezel. En als je een hongertje hebt, is dit adresje ideaal : vanop het zeer gezellige terras heb je een prachtig zicht op de Moezel. De bediening is oer-Duits en zeer vriendelijk. Over het eten kunnen we kort zijn : bijzonder lekker en ruime porties!

It is always nice to dine here or drink wine on the terrace. It is a beautiful location and the food is very tasty.

First of all: This is about the Haus Lipmann restaurant, not its hotel. Normally, in such touristy places like the extremely romantic town of Beilstein on the Moselle, especially directly opposite the jetty, one expects good things to be quite unsurprising. However: This is completely different here! You can sit either in a historic atmosphere in the house or under a vine roof with a great view over the rather wide Moselle valley and enjoy excellent cuisine at very reasonable prices. The no-frills fried potatoes, for example, are delicious, the sauces are rich and excellently seasoned. The quality of salad and meat as well as their preparation take into account the excellent product quality and emphasize it in the best possible way. The game cream soup from the autumn menu was round and cinnamony, the winemaker's dessert was fruity, creamy and milky. A very good accompaniment to the fruity, pigmented, red wine venison ragout. The good, friendly service rounds off the overall experience very pleasantly. Calm, skillful and delicious - if you're looking for a local stay like this, you've come to the right place.

Very good food in a cozy atmosphere. We'd love to come back.

This is the second year we are returning to this restaurant. The food is honest and tasty. It is a typical german style restaurant in a great location. The terrace is very beautiful, with a nice vine canopy and a view towards the Moselle River. The service is very attentive and fast. (quite impressive, considering that the terrace was always full) It was a nice touch that they made it available to buy fresh grapes from the canopy of the terrace. We enjoyed fresh grapes, and they were very tasty. A must visit if you are in the area. We will return with pleasure next time. Point of improvement: it would be nice if they would allow (all, not only hotel guests) clients to book a table.

Spontaneous hunger relief led us to the Lippmann house on our bike tour. With delicious raw food in our stomachs and after friendly hospitality, we continued along the Moselle again.

We wanted to eat and were sent away because there were five of us and we weren't allowed to provide an extra chair. Actually unbelievable.

Prachtig gelegen direct aan de Moezel in het sprookjesachtige Beilstein. Super gastvrij ontvangst, grote kamers, heerlijke comfortabele bedden, super schoon en een uitgebreid ontbijt! Kortom absoluut een aanrader !

Das Hotel Haus Lipmann ist seit einigen Jahren unsere Stammunterkunft, wenn es an die Mosel geht. Ob an der Klostertreppe oder im Haupthaus mit Moselblick, wir fühlen uns sehr wohl hier. Der Service und die Eigentümer sind unfassbar nett, alles ist sauber und ruhig und das Frühstück etwas ganz besonderes. Da bleibt kein Wunsch offen!

Sehr schöne Terrasse mit Blick auf die Mosel. Wir hatten 1 x kalt geschnittener Spießbraten mit Remulade und verschiedenen Salaten und 1 x Geflügelsalat mit Ananas garniert mit verschiedenen Salaten statt Bratkartoffeln, hatten wir uns für Brot entschieden. Pro Portion 16,50 € Große Portionen, sehr Lecker und auch optisch toll serviert. Allerdings für eine kleine Coca Cola 0,2l: 3,90 € fanden wir unverschämt auch das Angebot für durstige 1 Glas Cola 0,4 l für 5,90 € finden wir unmöglich. An sonsten, ein Super Haus.

Top ervaring! We huurde de studio die was heel erg ruim, en een leuk terras. We waren op reis met ons klein baby’tje, en het hotel heeft speciaal een microgolf oven en kinderbedje voorzien op de kamer voor ons. Het hotel was heel kindvriendelijk, en heel erg proper! De kamers waren spik en span, en het ontbijt zeer goed verzorgd. Het personeel en de bediening was super vriendelijk. (+ alles is heel mooi in één geheel, de decoratie en de sfeer van de streek) Kortom, een aanrader!

Heerlijk eten en niet duur, 2 hoofdgerechten, bijgerecht en 2 drankjes voor €60. Prachtige locatie, vriendelijke bediening en heel goede service. Echte aanrader!

Leider waren alle 3 Salate kaum bis wenig gewürzt bzw nicht mit Dressing versehen.

Waren dort zum Essen. Schöne Atmosphäre, freundlicher Kellner . Haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.

Amazing! Absolute best hotel in the area. The location, cleanliness, beauty, attention to detail and views cannot be matched. We stayed in a 'studio' which is suite with a balcony overlooking the most charming and historic market square. From the red geraniums in the flower boxes to the complimentary bottle of local wine in the refrigerator, to breakfast on the terrace under the grape vines over looking the Mosel river--this is a beautiful hotel. Book it, you will be happy you did! Castle is just a 10 minute walk from the hotel, and don't miss the 400+ year old wine cellar. Boat trips to other Mosel towns like Cochem just feet away from the hotel.

Von uns 10 von 10 Punkten. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Inhaber und das gesamte Personal sind sehr freundlich. Tolles Hotel, mega Dachterasse. Die Sauna ist sehr schön. Wir haben immer genug Platz gehabt. Das Frühstück sowie das Abendessen waren 1a. Die Weinverkostung war ein pures Erlebnis. Der ganze Ort ist wunderschön. Wir würden gern wiederkommen und können es nur empfehlen.

Goed en lekker eten, mooie omgeving met typische druivenranken over het terras. De runder ragout met gesmolten kaas en bratkartoffen en de feta uit de oven met brood was ontzettend lekker. Vele specialiteiten op de kaart. Een aanrader.

Super idyllische Terrasse, super Service und ganz frisches Essen. Das Lokal besticht nicht nur durch seine Terrasse, nein der Service ist von Anfang bis Ende besonders nett. Das Essen ist absolut top und Preis/Leistung klasse !

Schitterend terras met uitzicht op de Moezel. We waren op de fiets uit Cochem gekomen en gingen in Beilstein met de boot terug. De anderhalf uur die we voor vertrek moesten overbruggen brachten we deels op het terras van Haus Lipman door. Hoewel het geen alledaagse combinatie is, bestelde ik een biertje met taart. Dit laatste omdat bijna iedereen op dat terras van taart leek te smullen. En die vond ik zeker niet tegenvallen.

Om hier nog eens te zitten was puur uit nostalgie. Ik kwam hier vroeger met mijn ouders, en nu met mijn man enkele daagjes er tussenuit. We hebben hier gedineerd en we aten hier alleen een salade. Dit was meer dan voldoende want we kregen deze al bijna niet op. Hij was lekker en zeer fris.

Would rank this the best experience in our 14-day trip in Germany. Haus Lipman tops everything in a little village full of old half-timber buildings. Although tiny village, it is located by the steep hillside, so many little cosy corners to delight you. A short hike in a web of maze-like cobble-stone paths, some with steep stairways that disappear behind shades with grapevines. And one particular flight of stairs with over 100 steps that take you to the top of the hill where the old chirch os situated. Every corner is a photo opportunity. Haus Lipman serves the best spread of breakfast, with the terrace seating overlooking the Mosel and entire opposite bank with grape plants. We had dinner on two nights, and again very impressed with the quality of food. Definitely made with special attention. Of course, well complemented with the Riesling. Anja the proprietress made every effort to ensure a memorable stay — thank you! Only less ideal aspect is the lack of cooling in the rooms (no aircon). That said, with the windows open, cool breeze makes the nights OK comfortable.

Wir waren dort nach dem Besuch von Burg Metternich und Beilstein und haben den Nachmittag mit einem Wein ausklingen lassen. Die Terasse mit den alten Bäumen und dem Blick direkt auf die Mosel und die Fähre nach Ellenz-Poltersdorf ist wunderschön und lädt zum verweilen ein. Die Weinauswahl ist wie gewohnt sehr groß und man wird gut beraten. Auch ohne Hunger eine absolute Empfehlung.

Einfach sehr schön dort. Gutes Essen (haben wir dieses Mal aber nicht genossen), freundlicher Service, toller Ausblick, liebenswertes Ambiente. Einzig störte uns der sehr heftige Preis für eine Miniflasche Cola (0,2 L) für 3,70 €. Das ist schon „heftig“.. Trotzdem: Eine echt empfehlenswerte Adresse!,

We stopped here for snacks and dessert in the afternoon and had a wonderful bite to eat and some beverages. The staff was very kind and I found their desserts to be very good. (see the photo!) A great choice if you find yourself in Beilstein.
