Beilstein, a wonderful place on the Moselle! And at Stephan Burg the best place and the best wine! Wonderful, we didn't want to leave again🥰

A very beautiful view of the Moselle with a clear holiday feeling! In this area there are many holiday apartments and other accommodations in different price categories, you will find something for every budget. You are very close to Cochem and Koblenz. Beilstein is a very beautiful place, looks medieval and is built into the hillside. You can eat very tasty cake in the Hotel/Café and Bistro Klapperburg, which is somewhat hidden in a side junction. A very worth visiting coffee! The cakes and tarts are still baked there! You can also admire a huge collection of old coffee grinders in the rooms. The climb to Hohenbeilstein Castle is an arduous walk uphill through enchanted streets, but it's worth it just for the view. If you want to go to the other side of the river, you can use a nearby ferry for an additional charge. From €2 per person, it becomes more expensive with a bike or car and is valid per person in the car.

Really recommended. The climb to the castle is also easy for inexperienced people. The steps in the keep should be climbed carefully. It's pretty dark.

Beilstein an der Moselle is a picturesque little village in Rhineland-Palatinate, often referred to as the "Sleeping Beauty of the Moselle". It is idyllically located on a hillside directly on the Moselle River and is known for its well-preserved half-timbered houses, narrow streets and historic buildings. The Metternich castle ruins tower over the town and offer a breathtaking view of the Moselle valley. Beilstein has retained its medieval charm and attracts visitors who want to enjoy the region's romantic atmosphere and wineries.

Very nice place. You have to pay an entrance fee of 3 euros per person to the castle ruins, but it's definitely worth it.

Mega idyllic and beautiful. You can eat good cake here. The castle offers a good view and the cuisine is good.

You have to see Beilstein. The town definitely deserves the name “Sleeping Beauty of the Moselle”. Many small winding streets, wine bars, restaurants. Simply fantastic. You should definitely visit Café Klapperburg with its over 500 coffee grinders. The cakes are awesome, the staff are very friendly. Beilstein is also easy to reach by boat.

The old town center of Beilstein is only separated by the street that runs along the Moselle. The ship pier can also be found there. Small romantic alleys immediately captivate the traveler. Fairytale-like houses and inns can be discovered. In the evening, in the dark, the place gives walkers a wonderful feeling of comfort, especially because of the many beautiful lights. It's like a fairy tale from times long past. The times in the picturesque town are not only to be seen, but also to be touched. Guests can also go into such a romantic house, if it is an inn, and let their imagination run wild about that time with a glass of wine...

Small, historic wine village worth seeing on the banks of the Moselle. The wonderful half-timbered houses are partly built on the slopes. In the There are beautiful wine bars in the narrow streets. Gastronomy is available and fantastic terraces invite you to eat or drink. There are beautiful, old quarry stone walls and a staircase to the monastery or church. Unfortunately, the restaurants at the monastery and the church were closed during our visit (closed day). But you should take the stairs up because of the beautiful view and the church. We really enjoyed our visit to the small town and would love to come back. Thank you 🍇👍🍇

If you imagine the Middle Ages, that's exactly how it is! A sweet place, with a fairytale appearance even from the other bank of the Moselle. Small streets, great half-timbered and stone houses, restaurants, a café, a cute gift shop and more. All of this is framed by vineyards and flanked by the mountain with the Metternich castle ruins. A place like in a fairy tale.

Beilstein, a beautiful Moselle town. The monastery cafe is a must. You can eat very well here, the service is good and you have a beautiful view of the Moselle. From Beilstein you can continue hiking along the Moselsteig towards Bruttig-Fankel. 5*

Small town with a beautiful old center. Completely aimed at tourists; it rattles the food and beverage outlets. Walk through the narrow streets and be amazed at how they put everything together. There is a cozy terrace at the higher church with a beautiful view. If you are interested, the church is also worth seeing from the inside. Then you can go even further up, to the ruins of the castle. You don't have to worry about the costs, because for €3 pp you can admire all the remains and enjoy the great view.

Super friendly service. Homemade cake like grandma's. As hikers we have Unsolicitedly received the super nice offer to have our water bottles refilled.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Creatively furnished, imaginatively decorated with lots of fun elements. It's a really small oasis away from the 0815!

With just a single Moselle tour, this small village, that of a cinematically attractive small town setting is extremely is getting close, there are already more visitors than residents... ;-) BEILSTEIN AN DER MOSEL was the most idyllic for us Place we visited in this region. Almost Every building appears well-kept and spruced up Top condition, small, lovingly designed little shop to linger and enjoy the many wine cellars in terms of offer, comfort & “modern style”! We were here for the first time in the “summer” of 2024 and came across on the rustic terrace of the Zehnthauskeller wine bar with really delicious house punch for a birthday child in our group - and didn't want to leave! Anyone who is in the area should definitely not miss this gem, because it is in clear contrast to much more famous small towns in this region Beilstein is a REAL TOP DESTINATION with first class service, a lot Charm & style and even more ambience and atmosphere. Our honest compliment to a jewelry village with less than 200 residents... it was super nice in Beilstein!

Beilstein is a very small town where there are a lot of tourists when the weather is nice. You can definitely stay here for a while, depending on how crowded it is. There are also an endless number of cyclists. The place would be nicer without so many tourists 'But the place can't help that. We've seen it now, but we don't have to go there again.

Beautiful town for an afternoon

There were very nice moments with my family and the little mouse Malou Estelle, my grandchild. Unfortunately it was also very hot but better than if we only had rain ☔. Very nice places in the whole area. I have a very nice conversation with a couple from the Netherlands and they've been coming there for 12 years - it's just great... it can only be nice. We also took the boat trip and had a coffee in Beilstein. The service was very friendly and helpful. Thanks again. So LG to everyone who reads this and just drive there from HaJo for a few days

Beilstein really deserves the nickname “Sleeping Beauty”. Good restaurants, especially on the market square. Metternich Castle is also worth it. When the weather is nice, there are of course a lot of tourists there.

One of the most beautiful places on the Moselle. Worth mentioning is the Klapperburg café with delicious coffee and cake, as well as the Klostergarten restaurant with delicious food and a great view of the Moselle. My recommendation.

It’s worth going up to the castle for the views and also the kloster cafe for the views and relax with a drink or meal.
