Einfach nur schön. Urgemütliches Dorf. Die Burg Metternich ist auch sehr sehenswert.

Schnuckeliges und uriges Örtchen, Tourismus Magnet, gastfreundlich und jederzeit einen Tagesausflug wert (oder länger)

Wunderschöner Ort an der Mosel, traumhaft kleiner schnuckeliger Ort. Unbedingt mit der kleinen Fähre auf das andere Ufer fahren und Bilder machen. Danach Wein und Essen mit Blick auf die Mosel genießen.

Immer wieder interessant das Dornröschen der Mosel

Romantisches Örtchen mit engen Gassen, tollen Lokalen und der Burgruine Fürst Metternich mit Lokal und schönen Blick ins Moseltal.

Eine wunderschöne Altstadt direkt an der Mosel. Viele schöne Gebäude. Wenn Sie vorbeifahren, nehmen Sie sich 10 bis 15 Minuten Zeit für einen kleinen Spaziergang. 😀

Ein bezauberndes kleines Dorf. Für eine Weinprobe waren wir leider zu früh. Die meisten Lokale öffneten erst um 14 Uhr. Gute Parkmöglichkeiten.

Wenn man Beilstein von der Mosel aus betrachtet, sehr klein. Aber dahinter verbirgt sich ein wunderschöner Ort mit vielen kleinen Details. Viele kleine Gassen.

Beilstwin ist was besonderes. Da kommt man an und nach 10 min geht der AlltagsStreß einfach raus

Es ist ein Mini Dorf wie aus einem Märchen. Zauberhaft und unbedingt einen Besuch wert!!!

Ein hübsches, malerisches Städtchen. Wir sind Rad gefahren, gewandert, haben die Burg Cochem mit einer Führung besichtigt, sind über die Hängebrücke gefahren, haben in unserem tollen Hotel Alte Stadtmauer köstlich gegessen und eine Schifffahrt auf der Mosel unternommen. Ein viertägiger Kurzurlaub nach einer nicht gerade angenehmen Zeit.

Beilstein ist ein romantisches Städtchen mit alten Holzhäusern, einem Schloss, Weinbergen und einer friedlichen Atmosphäre. Es gilt als einer der schönsten Orte im Moseltal.

Beilstein das „Dornröschen der Mosel“ ist ein wunderschöner, historischer Fachwerk-Traum. Romantisch, voller Postkartenmotive und super Wein – aber am Wochenende oft komplett überlaufen. Tipp: Früh morgens oder unter der Woche hinfahren!

Wunderschönes Städtchen. Idyllisch bis zum geht nicht mehr. Tolles Kaffee direkt an der Kirche.

Very quiet this season, but beautiful.

An absolute highlight, not only in summer, but also a worthwhile destination in the wet and cold winter. However, apart from the monastery church with its adjoining café, the rest of the village is in "winter hibernation." It's simply not peak season. The castle above Beilstein can be reached in about 25 minutes, but it is inaccessible during the winter months.

Nothing's going on here in December, everything's closed. Not worth a visit at this time of year.

A great place with winding alleys. Easily explored on foot. The view from the monastery restaurant over the Moselle is fantastic, and the food is delicious. A nice place to be.

Beilstein is a lovely little town. We've been there several times, but even in Beilstein the season eventually comes to an end. It's still interesting to visit when there aren't any other tourists around.

A village straight out of a fairy tale, absolutely magnificent. The narrow streets, the atmosphere, and the charming houses give the impression of stepping back in time. And what can I say about the views of the Moselle River… they are simply extraordinary, breathtaking. A magical place that you absolutely must discover!

A small town on the Moselle River, nestled around a ruined castle on a hill. There's not much to see: hotels and restaurants, wineries, a few houses, a few shops, a few art studios, and souvenirs. But the town is truly enchanting: narrow streets, stairways, courtyards, and vistas. It's also known as Sleeping Beauty on the Moselle. Upstairs, near the ruins, is a restaurant with a terrace. The menu is average and geared towards tourists. During peak season, it offers a pleasant seating area with a view of the Moselle.

An absolute must if, like us, you frequently visit Germany's most beautiful river.

We found Beilstein deserted. Everything was closed, the end of the tourist season. Wonderfully peaceful, but a shame. We did enjoy a delicious meal at the Klosterstube on the terrace above the village.

I love visit Germany. But these small town is the more beautiful in all my travels, the houses, the view the river and the nature is adorable. We live only one time, but we need going to Beilstein one time.

Silent and comfortable spot for taking photos. Beautiful alleys to walk along to the church up the hill where you can have a view of the river and the wineries. Parking lot is close to the village on the road along the Mosel.

If you're in the area or driving past, be sure to stop for a short stroll and a snack at one of the many terraces. Free parking is available in the rear parking lot. It's about a 2-minute walk to the village.

Beilstein is a very charming village with the ruins of Metternich Castle and, above all, one of the best-preserved historic townscapes, which is why it is also called the "Sleeping Beauty of the Moselle." It is also a place of pilgrimage, as the Black Madonna is displayed in the baroque monastery or Carmelite church. Next door is a monastery restaurant & café, which is tempting to visit with its delicious cuisine, excellent cakes, very friendly waiters, and a fantastic view. For more than 10 years, we have been spending a long weekend on the Moselle, and every year a visit to Beilstein is a must, whether by bike, boat, or car 👍🏻

A charming little town right on the Moselle River. Plenty of opportunities to stop for a coffee or ice cream. Metternich Castle, perched atop the mountain, offers fantastic views. A landing stage for the Moselle boat tour offers further excursion options. Just outside the town limits – coming from Cochem on the L98 – there are also free parking spaces. They are only about 300 meters further than the paid parking spaces. Please note the clearance height for motorhomes...
