A beautiful little town with lovely houses and nice restaurants. The downside: many other visitors know this, so it's incredibly crowded on weekends. It's almost impossible to find a parking space. Due to the poorly signposted parking areas, I'm giving it only 4 stars instead of 5. The town itself is already worthy of 5 stars.

A very beautiful area, very beautiful old houses, and an old castle ruin. Just be careful, you shouldn't go there on holidays or weekends, because there are simply too many tourists. If possible, maybe during the week, but otherwise it's very, very beautiful there with a fantastic view of the Moselle.

The town of Beilstein on the Moselle is beautiful. The medieval backdrop is absolutely worth seeing. After the tour we wanted to eat something, but we lost our appetite just looking through the drinks menu. You've already gotten used to the completely overpriced drinks, but 8.20 euros for 0.4 l of wine spritzer is probably outrageous. And this in an area where there is more than enough wine. So, we left the restaurant without ordering.

A Fairytale Jewel on the Moselle: Beilstein Beilstein, affectionately known as the "Sleeping Beauty of the Moselle", is a village that immediately enchants you. Located on the winding banks of the Moselle, in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, this picturesque town is an absolute must-see for anyone who wants to experience the romantic atmosphere of the Moselle region. With its well-preserved medieval architecture, the steep vineyards that embrace the village and the tranquil, almost fairytale-like ambiance, Beilstein is an oasis of peace and beauty. Walking through the narrow, winding streets it feels as if time has stood still. The half-timbered houses, decorated with flowers and climbing plants, breathe history. The imposing ruin of Metternich Castle towers majestically above the village and offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Moselle Valley. The climb to the castle is well worth it, not only for the spectacular views, but also to explore the remains of this historic fortress. The heart of Beilstein is formed by the attractive marketplace, surrounded by cozy Weinstuben (wine taverns) and restaurants. Here you can enjoy the delicious local Moselle wines, such as the Riesling, which matures on the surrounding slopes. Taste the regional specialties and be pampered by the hospitality of the locals. A boat trip on the Moselle offers a beautiful perspective of the village and surrounding vineyards. Despite its relatively small size, Beilstein offers several sights. In addition to Metternich Castle, the Carmelite Church with its Baroque interior is definitely worth a visit. The historic water mill and the old city gates also contribute to the unique charm of Beilstein. What really makes Beilstein special is the serene tranquility that prevails there. Unlike some other, busier places along the Moselle, Beilstein has retained its authentic character. It is the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy the slow, relaxing atmosphere. In short, Beilstein is an enchanting village that stimulates all your senses. The combination of the beautiful location on the Moselle, the historic architecture and the friendly atmosphere makes it an unforgettable destination. Whether you are a lover of history, nature, wine or are simply looking for a romantic getaway, Beilstein will certainly not disappoint you. An absolute must for a visit to the Moselle region!

In Cochem we got the tip to visit Beilstein and it was really a very good tip. From the street, completely inconspicuous, you reach a beautiful little old town that is absolutely worth seeing. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful cities on the Moselle.

A very beautiful view of the Moselle with a clear holiday feeling! In this area there are many holiday apartments and other accommodations in different price categories, you will find something for every budget. You are very close to Cochem and Koblenz. Beilstein is a very beautiful place, looks medieval and is built into the hillside. You can eat very tasty cake in the Hotel/Café and Bistro Klapperburg, which is somewhat hidden in a side junction. A very worth visiting coffee! The cakes and tarts are still baked there! You can also admire a huge collection of old coffee grinders in the rooms. The climb to Hohenbeilstein Castle is an arduous walk uphill through enchanted streets, but it's worth it just for the view. If you want to go to the other side of the river, you can use a nearby ferry for an additional charge. From €2 per person, it becomes more expensive with a bike or car and is valid per person in the car.
