Hotel Burgfrieden in Ellenz-Poltersdorf

This is a good family hotel with a nice room with a balcony. The bathroom is slightly smaller, but everything is there. The breakfast is more than excellent and the evening meal was also very good. The service is very friendly, so this hotel is highly recommended and worth repeating.

A great hotel and less than a 5 minute walk from the banks of the Moselle. The hotel's own restaurant is a stunner and it tasted fantastic...super nice people take care of your well-being. The breakfast buffet is simply fantastic and the Herzer family and the staff there are very, very nice. We will definitely come back to the hotel if we are in the area. Class!!

The hotel is first class. Friendly staff, clean rooms, delicious food. Worth highlighting is the breakfast buffet and the salad buffet at dinner. If there were problems (of course there weren't), you always had a quick solution.

Hotel Burgfrieden is a wonderful hotel. The reception was fine. The restaurant is excellent and the staff is fantastic, not only in terms of knowledge but also in terms of customer friendliness. They are very helpful without being pushy. As a guest you feel wonderfully spoiled. Hotel is very well maintained and clean. The rooms are well furnished and very clean. We had a lovely balcony. Breakfast was delicious and replenished as needed. Everything (including diversity) was present in abundance. We enjoyed the terrace at the restaurant. There is also a nice lounge where you can get drinks and snacks for your room. We didn't use it this time, but we might next time. The advantage of the hotel is that it is well located, quiet but very well located for fulfilling your wishes. Everything was immediately easy to reach. The village, castle, village center, Moselle and monastery. We also had an excellent permanent parking space on the other side of the hotel. We stayed for two nights. Delicious! Definitely again and then we will definitely participate in the barbecue at the castle. Every Thursday evening in July and August when the weather is nice. Thanks for all this!

Well-maintained Hotel Restaurant.

The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The location of the hotel is great, from here you can quickly get up to the castle ruins (which also belong to the hotel) and into the heart of Beilstein. It takes less than 5 minutes to get to the monastery. If you are already a guest at this hotel and want to save a few euros on food and drinks, you can dine at the top of the castle. They have the same menu, but a little cheaper. Unfortunately, the gate there is closed promptly at 6 p.m. However, if you are not a guest, you must pay entry to the castle in advance. The rooms are furnished in a rustic / old German style. The mattresses are a bit too soft for my back (100kg 186cm). The soap in the bathroom is a bit special; if you rub your hands with it and then want to wash them off again, it's a bit difficult. It feels as if there is a smear film on the skin and the soap no longer wants to come off.

Particularly noteworthy is the excellent quality of the food, which leaves nothing to be desired and contributes to an all-round successful stay. However, some compromises have to be made when it comes to the rooms. They are quite small and correspond to the trend of the 80s. This is particularly clear in the bathroom, which dates back to the seventies and eighties. Despite these small deficiencies, the hotel overall offers a pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. Anyone who can overlook the nostalgic charm will have a lovely stay here. Also worth highlighting are the sufficient and free parking spaces directly at the hotel.

Good hotel. Friendly service Breakfast and dinner, all good. Super clean hotel. Beilstein is a cozy place with many nice terraces. Good public transport. Worth repeating for us.

Were there over Easter 2024, very friendly staff, functional rooms directly under the Metternich castle ruins, which belong to the family. The food as part of the half board was sufficient and tasted great, praise to the kitchen. The small but nice village can be reached in 3 minutes on foot and there are some cozy wine bars there. Gladly again......

Great hotel and the service perfect. Room ok. When it comes to the staff you can only say that it is a family business and that is how the hotel is run. A perfect breakfast and the menu is great. We'd love to come back. Thanks

Have now stayed at the Hotel Burgfrieden for 3 nights. It was very nice there. Breakfast was excellent, the entire team was very friendly. We definitely weren't there for the last time.

Schönes Hotel.... freundlicher Service....tolle Lage

Wir waren zwei Tage im Hotel. Ein sehr schönes Hotel. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Immer wieder gerne.

Zeer mooi hotel op een unieke locatie. Binnen no time op het mooie historische pleintje van het dorp. Burg Metternich ligt achter het hotel, bij inchecken kregen we een voucher voor toegang. Motoren konden onder een carport. Ontbijt zeer uitgebreid, ontbrak aan niks. Medewerkers erg vriendelijk en professioneel. Zeer aan te raden!
