Hotel Haus Burg Metternich in Ellenz-Poltersdorf

The staff was really friendly, the food in the evening and the breakfast in the morning were delicious and the ambience in the restaurant was outstanding. The hotel room could do with a bit of renovation (the carpet is not my thing, the shower cubicle doesn't close), but overall it was good, so we would 1. recommend it to others and 2. come back ourselves. My personal recommendation: The Peach Secco. So delicious!

I was eating at a restaurant with my friends. There was a delicious I Zeit bottle of wine and we shared the winemaker's platter. It was a pleasure and the ambience rounded it all off. Pure relaxation and pampering. Gladly again. Nice service.

That wasn't a positive experience. Room very lived in. Although clean, the furniture, carpets and wallpaper are getting old. Service was okay at first, but left something to be desired afterwards. You have to ask for a lot. Breakfast is cheap at 12 euros per person, but not worth a cent more. What wasn't good at all was the e-bike rental. We rented 6 bikes. One bike had its speedometer taped, on the other only one of 2 brakes worked. The next one was very dirty. In the evening on the drive home it turned out that one of the lights wasn't working. It's a shame that this wasn't checked when it was published. But on the day of departure we were accused of causing the damage. Shabby. All in all, we will communicate what we experienced and not come back. It's a shame, but otherwise the Moselle is very beautiful.

This hotel has a great location. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. A good breakfast, a great menu and very good wines etc. are the reasons why we spent a weekend here for the fourth time. The partly very old building has been lovingly restored and is part of the entire beautiful town of Beilstein. We particularly like the hospitable and familiar treatment of guests by both employees and both owners. Keep it up, we'll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay. It was our first time on the Moselle and I have never felt so relaxed on a holiday as I did with Simone and Robert. You are just great, everything was just right. The food was also super tasty, no matter what! My favorite was your waffle :) , the best waffle I've ever eaten! I have never experienced the openness and warmth of you and all your employees! We were guests at the Hotel Haus Burg Metternich for 10 nights and it is a matter close to my heart to leave a review here. The room was cozy and clean. There was a plentiful breakfast where everyone got their money's worth. The dinner in the hotel's restaurant was terrific, as was the wine. The hotel's Moselle terrace is super beautiful and, thanks to the winter garden, invites you to linger in any weather with the best view of the Moselle. When I wrote the review I had to shed another tear of emotion. The owners and the entire team of the hotel made our stay unforgettable. Everyone is incredibly nice, warm and helpful. We (including the dog) felt completely at home and can unreservedly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant.

A family-run hotel with staff who are always in a good mood. Guests' wishes are fulfilled immediately. We have already booked our next vacation here again!!!!

We eat there regularly, so I can't rate the rooms. The staff is very friendly and nice. You just feel good. The wine and beer are delicious. The food is great! The fish soup was to die for.

We had an absolutely amazing week here. There is NOTHING to complain about. The staff is always incredibly friendly and extremely helpful! The breakfast was also really good, everything was very fresh and was completely sufficient. In this small town you can eat and drink excellently and simply unwind. The connection to Cochem etc is great and just a stone's throw away. What is also worth mentioning is that dogs are welcomed here in an absolutely positive way. So all in all: we will definitely be back! Unfortunately you can only give 5 stars! But the small, cozy hotel absolutely deserves it!!! Thank you for everything :) Greetings Henry 🐶 and family

Wonderful ambience on the Moselle, one service nicer than the next. 🥰

It was our first time on holiday on the Moselle and we immediately felt at home. The reception upon arrival is very friendly and personal, there was a welcome secco 👌. Needs/concerns were addressed. The food was always on point and really good. Breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. The service in the rooms and in the restaurant is always exemplary. Less often is dissatisfied, has not understood the concept of vacation and service. We noticed that if there were complaints, they were responded to immediately and if you didn't accept it, it was your own fault. We'd love to come back. Greetings from Hamburg

My husband and I were staying in Cochem and this restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel hostess Lela and we were not disappointed at all. From the location to the service, food and staff were exceptional and we were so grateful for the experience (I also asked the staff’s permission to post the photos also)

Nice and friendly service, great location right on the Moselle but unfortunately the food wasn't tasty. Fries were way too salty, but then we got new ones. My goulash was also too salty and I didn't like the rest of the side dishes either (unfortunately puree doesn't taste like anything, red cabbage only tastes like cloves and you only have to sort out the juniper berries and cloves). The waiter accepted dessert but that doesn't change the fact that you expect more for the overpriced prices. Also if it has to be regional. I would have gotten more out of it if the price had been more affordable.

It's definitely worth it, great dishes. Nice staff, because they have a chat. And a top location. (Restaurant)

We went for dinner here only yesterday evening as we are staying at it’s sister apartments for the weekend in Cochem and the restaurant was recommended to us and we was definitely not disappointed. From when we arrived and the welcoming, to the service, food, their own selection of amazing wines to the dessert my husband and I were very impressed with such friendly staff. We recommend the restaurant to anyone and everyone visiting or staying in Beilstein

We stayed here for four days. A romantic hotel in a very nice location. We were warmly greeted upon arrival. Welcomed with a “Ich Zeit” Prosecco on the terrace with the amazing view of the Moselle. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We didn't miss anything. The breakfast was also good and plentiful. Our room was clean and well-kept but a bit small. The view when we got up in the morning was directly over the Moselle ,makes up for it. Thank you for the wonderful time with you. I will definitely not forget my stay in your house, we spent my 50th birthday so beautifully. We will definitely be back next year. LG from Emsland

Very nice restaurant located directly on the Moselle with very attentive and friendly service. We all felt very comfortable and the food was very tasty. Also very suitable for group events. The communication in advance was very pleasant. You have to see Beilstein anyway.

Beilstein is a small, romantic place. When we arrived we received a very friendly welcome and we immediately felt at home. The hotel was great. This was further emphasized by the fact that we had the most beautiful room with a view of the Moselle for a total of 8 nights. Thank you again for everything and we'll be back😊

Many thanks to the restaurant staff. We were sat on the terrace for dinner on a sunny evening. The staff was quick, friendly and always had a quick joke on their lips. The Flammkuchen Deluxe was a culinary delight, which was underlined by the wine recommendation. We would love to come back here.

Our go-to place for good food in Beilstein for years, the new menu offers something for everyone and the quality of the food is great and the portions are TOP 😋it feeds giants. I recommend the grill plate…… Staff is quick and attentive, prices are reasonable for a "house in the first row".

Unfortunately, I didn't like the taste of the watered down iced coffee. Furthermore, the operation took too long for the poor result.

Were there for 3 days Rooms very clean, Service very friendly, great cuisine, Wonderful location with a view of the Moselle, Of course, the obligatory Mosel wine should not be missing. Thumbs up!

We were just there for a snack. Waffles ok. Asparagus cream soup tasteless, thin. It had nothing to do with cream. In addition, despite the relatively empty terrace, you were almost ignored, this applies to both the order and the payment. Staff tend to look away from the guests. This was similar at the tables next to us. Unfortunately not a recommendation, because it sits very nicely.

Worst coffee of my life! The cappuccino was super watery and sour, had a bad aftertaste and didn't taste like coffee. €4.90 for that is a disgrace!

Eating in the restaurant was great and commendable. Reserved for the next evening. We (2) can only recommend it. Great people :)

Great short vacation in Beilstein! Hotel is beautifully located on the Moselle! Room with a view of the Moselle! Nice circular hike from the hotel (Moselkrampen), which is also very adventurous! Dinner was very good but a side dish (small salad or vegetables) would have been nice given the price! Trout with boiled potatoes! Yummy! Breakfast was very good! In any case, the hotel and the service are recommended👍 Top 👍!

Very nice restaurant, right on the Moselle. Beautiful terrace and winter garden with direct river views. Super delicious food, very balanced menu, great wine list. All of this at a pleasant price. We were guests 3 times during our stay. Twice for dinner and once we just stopped in for a glass of wine, which was absolutely no problem. We were thrilled by the friendliness and the beautiful ambience. Will definitely be a guest again next time we stay

Everything was great. The chicken mc nuggets get a 10 out of 10. The apple strudel is also great.

Vroeger vaak fijn en goed gegeten. Nu matig en harde disco muziek binnen. Geen excuses voor geluidsoverlast gehad.

Wij hebben heerlijk gegeten met vrienden in een top ambiance. Bediening was zeer attent en prijs kwaliteit was uitstekend. Gulash soep, schnitzel en rundvlees was van uitzonderlijke klasse. Belgische wafel als toetje was subliem. De wijn van Otto Görgen was zo lekker dat we er nog één mee naar de camping hebben genomen tegen ‘mitniemprijs’. Top.

Amazing restaurant overlooking the Mosel and vineyards. We stayed in Beilstein for five nights and ate here for three evenings. It was a very hospitable place with lovely welcoming friendly staff, in particular Dani, who went far and beyond with her service, which was one of the reasons we returned. Really lovely food, in particular the Grillteller, the asparagus with Wiener schnitzel (it was the asparagus season, therefore a must) and the braised veal cheeks. The ingredients are locally sourced and many things are homemade, such as the Spätzle. Although we didn't have any the Eisbecher looked amazing (ice-cream sundaes). Portions are hearty and generous and good value. There's a good selection of local wines to try. Highly recommend the walnut cream liqueur.... Bailey's has some real competition with this and this local liqueur is far better than any of the varieties Bailey's produces. You can also buy it by the bottle at a reasonable price.

Als fähiger Hobbykoch muss ich ganz ehrlich sagen, hier mit Abstand das beste Schweineschnitzel gegessen zu haben. Fleischqualität (vom Bauer aus dem Nachbardorf) ist so gut, dass 98% den Unterschied zum Kalb (ja, Wiener Schnitzel ist vom Kalb) kaum merken werden. Auch die Soße Jägerart ( Weißwein Champion-Rahmsoße) war der absolute Hammer. Keinerlei Geschmacksverstärker rauszuschmecken und mit Abstand die beste Soße die ich je (außer selbstgemacht ) gegessen habe. Waren jetzt zwei Abende hintereinander da und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Der Weißburgunder ist übrigens auch der beste den wir dieses Jahr an der Mosel getrunken haben. Die Spätzle (ich hatte Pommes) waren laut meiner Frau auch sehr sehr gut. Personal auch top.
