The cake tastes great and the service is very nice.

Beautiful place, just you need be local or have a car, very typical German delicious food well executed. The areas are not really clear we have to walk through the parking and members of security give priority a car over three years old kid, so be aware. I think the party area could be better organise and members of staff are be more professional not playing in customers area, a mean from other side you can see is good camaraderie. So far as I said food is delicious the place is beautiful with a pastry area with a selection of German cakes opportunity to try two or three, no one cake.

Restaurant: Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, but the waiting time for the food of 1 1/2 hours for a la carte dishes is not acceptable. Especially since the staff doesn't know anything about it. There is no bread with dip or anything like that. Only the mayonnaise, which was requested upon request, is brought 2 minutes after the dishes were ordered. However, this is not a service of the restaurant, but is charged at 1.50 euros. When it comes to the prices for the dishes compared to other restaurants, it makes the food visually more expensive because cents are saved or billed to the guest. Conclusion here you clearly pay for the name of the restaurant. Here it is not the customer who is king, but the restaurateur. Conclusion for me the rehearsal dinner for a big birthday party made the decision. We'll celebrate somewhere else.

Yesterday we were guests for the first time as we had visitors from England. We sat outside on the patio, which was very cozy and inviting. We were served quickly and didn't have to wait long for our drinks. The service was good. There was absolutely nothing to complain about from start to finish. The food came for everyone at the same time, was very well prepared and, importantly, hot! The quality was great and everything was very tasty and delicious. You can argue about the prices, whether expensive or not, but there is no quality for Lau and the staff also have to be paid appropriately. So it was absolutely fine for us and is worth recommending! Thank you very much!

We ate phenomenally good cake in the restaurant. The service was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is very cozy.

We were wedding guests in Overkamp. The celebration took place in the rustic wooden hut, which was lovingly decorated. The service from two employees who were only assigned to the celebration was very good. The food at the buffet was very tasty. A service person looked after the buffet, so the buffet always looked appetizing and appealing. Overall, a very nice and successful celebration in Overkamp! The only negative point was the cleanliness of the plates. From below, typical residues from the dishwasher were sticking to all the plates, tactilely and visibly. Since they were stacked on top of each other, one or two plates got dirty from above. It's ok that 1-2 plates with leftovers come out of the dishwasher unnoticed, if all the plates look like that, it should definitely be noticed!

Very nice and clean hotel room with a great and friendly staff. The breakfast was amazing and the staff there is also very friendly and attentive (even the trainees). Bus stop is right in front of the door.

I can only comment on the restaurant, but we have been eating there every now and then for 9 years and every time it is delicious with great service.

Were only there for breakfast yesterday, so no review of the rooms. Service absolutely top!!! Ambiance completely O.K. The food on offer was absolutely fine. Only when we saw the "rolls" did I look around to see if there wasn't a hidden camera!? We have had breakfast out several times and have experienced a lot! But that? Guys, you can't be serious??? You had to be careful not to cut your hand when cutting things open, they are so small!? Two bites and the bun was gone! It's commendable, the things looked like they were homemade. We don't know whether they are kept so small on purpose or whether the baker had a bad day!? Otherwise I would say go to bakery school! For the price, we would have expected normal rolls. Therefore a star deduction! Would like to come back for breakfast, but would then have to bring bread rolls with us, which would then be kind of nonsensical. As already mentioned, everything was great, especially the service!!! A pity!

We spent the last hours of the year, New Year's Eve, there with an excellent New Year's Eve menu. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The table was very festively decorated, white tablecloths, cloth napkins, decorated floral greetings. The six-course menu put together for the palate. Beef tartare, celery-truffle soup, salmon ravioli, sorbet caipirinha without alcohol, saddle of veal or saddle of venison, and finally a dessert variation with a written greeting made of chocolate on the edge of the plate. My God, that was a culinary delight. The service at the table was simply impeccable. Thank you for the unforgettable evening. It should also be mentioned that lucky clover was distributed at the exit.

We were at Overkamp with old friends. Very warm welcome, great restaurant, great service and the food was simply wonderful...we had a wonderful evening. Many thanks to Overkamp and especially Günther! We'd love to come back.

I ate a really delicious farmer's pan in the restaurant. The restaurant has prices ranging from cheap to a little more expensive, but you have to treat yourself sometimes. Otherwise there are also delicious cakes and the unbeatable homemade bread is great. I have to say that the staff is very accommodating and very nice and friendly.

Good home-style German cuisine, modern and lightly interpreted. One of the best restaurants of this kind in Dortmund at least. Good, friendly and humorous service from experienced waiters and waitresses. Not exactly cheap, but definitely good value for money. In winter there are the best geese ever.

Ich war in den letzten drei Wochen zweimal im Haus Oberkamp. Der erste Besuch in diesem Jahr mit einer Freundin, war gruselig. Wir wurden ins Bistro gesetzt und nicht bedient. Die Aushilfe/Auszubildende wusste nicht, wie sie sich verhalten soll und blieb deshalb lieber passiv. Als wir nach einer halben Stunde immer noch nichts zu Essen bestellen konnten, haben wir uns verabschiedet. Der zweite Besuch mit Familie fiel deutlich freundlicher und aufmerksamer aus. Aber auch hier merkt man, dass ein strenges Regime herrscht. Etwas mehr Lockerheit wäre für uns als Gäste angenehmer.

Overkamp is a true institution in Dortmund. I have already been able to attend a few weddings at Overkamp. The service was always professional and the bride and groom were given a lot of freedom when it came to the decorations. The food always tasted very tasty and was more than sufficient. The choice of drinks is adapted to the host's wishes. My arrangements with Overkamp all worked out wonderfully. Definitely recommended as a wedding location.

The two of us went to the Overkamp restaurant for the first time in the evening. It was really great!!!! We received a very warm welcome, the atmosphere is warm and cozy. The service was great!! And the food is a poem. Price-wise, completely okay. We will be back !

Went there again last night - and as always, 100% satisfied! We have been there many times. As a couple, with a child or even in a larger group. The service is wonderful, the staff are always very friendly and “work their heels off”. What you get from the kitchen is first class from starters to dessert! With the schnitzel, the breading has "waves", the hollandaise is "hand-beaten", the desserts are a dream...where else can you get something like that today, in times when gastronomy has become so difficult (shortage of staff and skilled workers!). The fact that in such a large company a mistake can be made or something is forgotten or takes a moment shouldn't be a major problem! Only people work there - and they give their absolute best, you can feel it. Our guests from Italy and Gelsenkirchen yesterday (yes, you even travel from the Forbidden City🤭) definitely felt very comfortable and were completely satisfied - and so were we - once again. We look forward to many more wonderful evenings with and with the entire “Team Overkamp”. Thank you very much for a very nice evening! 🫶🏼

We were invited to a baptism there. I can't say anything about the rooms or the location either. It's quite big this restaurant. We were in a large room on the first floor. The food tasted really good. I had nothing to complain about

I don't know the rooms at Oberkamp. Because: I live nearby. The restaurant is first class and that's why it's always busy. The kitchen is excellent and the serving staff impresses with their consistent friendliness and patience. Can only be highly recommended!

Not recommendable! We had booked for breakfast today and wanted to have something for lunch later. The reception was friendly. But you weren't allowed to sit in the nice open spaces next to the breakfast buffet; you had to go into a room with a fake fire and incredibly uncomfortable seats. The price/performance ratio was underground. On the phone they promised egg dishes would be brought to the table. Since I was on crutches, that would have been nice. but that wasn't the case. Then we were forced to change tables. At lunch we should order quickly. We then got some soup for €8.50 per person that looked and tasted like a packet of soup. A colleague spilled the soup over him and the waiter ignored the fact that the cup was half empty. The coffee was bad. the orange juice wasn't fresh and the apple juice spritzer wasn't fresh either. 190€ for 4 extremely short and moderate breakfasts and 4 soups is cheeky!!! The toilets are narrow. And the cleaning crew that made things cozy every now and then was extremely loud and arrogant. Every baker does it better. I feel ripped off here!!!

I wasn't impressed by the bad reviews, but unfortunately I can only confirm that now. The service has become poor, orders were brought incorrectly, the contents of a cappuccino resembled an espresso, there was no milk and sugar on the table, we only got them after the second reminder, the cakes were not labeled and the staff couldn't help Be sure to say which cake it is. Word like this gets around quickly, it's a shame, Overkamp was always an address, but not anymore for me.

Not recommended, tartare 17.90€ as a starter was not prepared as ordered, in the second attempt it was completely seasoned, stringy and mushy. Absolutely inedible. Was still charged in full, even though the plate was returned full with the immediate complaint. Main food mediocre. Steak €29.90 not medium but well done. The pepper sauce, except for the fresh peppercorns on top, tastes like a bag. Long waiting times, we would have to wait more than half an hour for a beer. We saved ourselves dessert. A simple scoop of ice cream €1.70. The facility is also getting old. For seniors who have known it for 40 years it may still be attractive. We won't be coming back and can't recommend this restaurant!!! Update from March 16, 2024: A lawyer is now trying to delete the review because we were supposedly not guests, even though the table was booked by name That's why there is only one star for the lack of criticism.

We were promised more based on the reviews. Food average, doesn't match the high prices. You can get it just as well elsewhere for less money. But at least the atmosphere is very nice. Owner doesn't learn anything, which can be seen from his stupid comments.

I have always reported positively about Café Overkamp and have been there countless times. So far everything has always been good. Today, for the very first time, I was only in the café area at the front right. The waitress only came to the table after about 10 minutes and then didn't even come to the table (she even had to ask what we wanted to order because she was so far away) even though NOTHING was going on (compared to usual). We then sat at the table for a total of over 15 minutes, only to be told they didn't have oat milk and we could leave with that. Absolute disaster. The time could have been saved. My impression is ruined.

Wie beim ersten Besuch vor einem Jahr bis zum jetzigen Besuch Tatar Sülze Suppen Seezunge Cordon Bleu u.a. Speisen In Qualität und Zubereitung absolut Spitze. Der immer freundliche Service rundete alle Abende perfekt zu kulinarischen Erlebnissen ab.

In diesem Restaurant war ich schon öfter. Trotz der vielen Sitzplätze verläuft es sich ein bißchen und dort, wo man platziert wird, ist es gemütlich. Der Service ist sehr gut und eingespielt. Die Karte läßt die Vorfreude steigern. Selten habe ich so gern und so viel Trinkgeld gegeben. Bis zum baldigen nächsten Mal.

Perfekter Aufenthalt im Restaurant. Freundlich, gemütlich und lecker.

Hatten eine tolle Familienfeier mit optisch und qualitativ guten Speisen und sehr guten Service durch erfahrenes und professionelles Personal. Die Größe des Ladens ist schon speziell aber durch eine gewisse Kleinteiligkeit und Modernisierungen in Ordnung. Alles in bester Ordnung aber die Preise sind ganz schön gestiegen und als ambitioniert zu bezeichnen. Positiv ist, dass in diesem traditionellen Haus moderne Aspekte einfließen in die Küche.

Alle Gänge waren gut aufeinander abgestimmt und jeder einzelne Gang war ein Highlight für sich. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und hat damit den perfekten Gastgeber übernommen. Wie immer _ sehr gut!!!! Zur Weihnachtszeit ist die Gans zu empfehlen! Aber auch im übrigem Jahr immer einen Besuch wert.

Ich besuche das Lokal Overkamp seit ungefähr 30 Jahren mit Familie und auch Freunde und Bekannte. Wir waren stets sehr zufrieden mit der Küche, dem Service, der Qualität und dem Ambiente. Dafür hätte ich eigentlich 5 Sterne vergeben. Der Grund warum ich es nicht getan habe, ist das mittlerweile überzogene Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in Teilen. Wir waren zuletzt Silvester 2023 dort und hatten nicht den Eindruck, dass der Preis von 89,95 EUR für das 6-Gänge-Menü gerechtfertigt war. Zu Beginn des Jahres 2024 wurden die Speisekarten größtenteils überarbeitet und die Preise erneut angehoben. Hierbei ist auch der Mwst. effekt zu berücksichtigen. Mittlerweile sind zum Teil die Preise auf einem recht sportlichen Niveau angekommen (z.B. Chateaubriand 119 EUR, z.B. Preiserhöhung für das Dessert Topfenknödel von 11,95 EUR auf jetzt 17,95 EUR erhöht, Gulaschsuppe 12,95 EUR, die es vor gar nicht so langer Zeit noch für 9,95 EUR gab, usw.). Mir ist durchaus bewusst, dass sich das Gastronomiegewerbe grundsätzlich in einem schwierigen Umfeld bewegt (z.B. MWST-Erhöhung, inflatorische Auswirkungen, Personalmangel). Die Probleme haben aber auch vergleichbare Mitbewerber, die ebenfalls eine gehobene Küche anbieten, aber hinsichtlich der Preiskalkulation auf dem Boden geblieben sind. Trotz aller Verbundenheit zum Hause Overkamp, sehe ich die dortige Preisentwicklung mittlerweile sehr kritisch.

Habe zu Weihnachten eine Gans bestellt und kann nur über Qualität und den Service applaudieren, freue mich schon auf nächstes Weihnachten, da gibt man auch bisschen mehr für aus, um was besonderes zu erhalten. Übernachtet habe ich noch nicht. Deswegen kann ich da nicht urteilen.

Alles bestens wieder Ganz bestellt schmeckt immer gut kommen gerne wieder. Mitgagessen und andere Gerichte wie Kalbsbäckchen in Rotweinsauce TOPP und der Service alles sehr nett an und an gibt es Personal was ggf. keine Übersicht hat.

Bietet das, was ich im Wittekindshof vermisst hab. Herzlichkeit und angekommen sein. Familienbetrieb> Systemgastronomie. Natürlich könnte ich auch über schlechte Malerarbeiten und über ein defektes Licht meckern, aber für mich hat das Gesamtpaket gepasst. Zum Essen kann ich wenig sagen, ausser dass die Weihnachtsgans toll ausgesehen hat. Frühstück hat mich überzeugt. Rührei auf Bestellung, anstatt 3h im Wärmebehälter. Brötchen sahen mir jedoch nach Fertigmischung aus - schade, aber man kann halt nicht alles haben. Dafür sollte beim Frühstück für jeden etwas dabei sein👍

Das Restaurant Haus Overkamp bietet gehobenes, gut bürgerliches und westfälisches Essen. Das Essen ist immer sehr gut. Zum Restaurant gehört ein Café mit tollem Kuchen, zum sitzen oder zum mitnehmen. Die Lage im Grünen und an der Wittbräucker Straße sorgt für gutes Erreichen und die Möglichkeit im nahen Wald spazieren zu gehen. Einziges Manko ist die schiere Masse an Menschen, die das Restaurant stets besuchen. Das Hotel habe ich noch nicht genutzt. Es liegt aber direkt neben dem Restaurant.

Wir waren zum Essen dort. Super Service und essen war perfekt. Gerne wieder.

Weihnachtsessen perfektioniert mit einer herrlichen Gans ! Ich wollte auch mal zu Weihnachten eine Gans anbieten, traue mir das aber nicht zu. Die Bestellung ganz einfach über das Internet getätigt, mit Zeitfenster zur Abholung. Am ersten Weihnachtstag dann mit eigenen Behältnissen auf nach Overkamp ( find ich prima aufgrund der Nachhaltigkeit). Ui, mächtig was los hier am Weihnachtsmorgen ( 9:50h) - aber alles ist hier super organisiert ! Es geht alles Hand in Hand und schnell über die Bühne. Innerhalb von 15 Minuten hatten wir unsere gefüllten Töpfe und eine komplette Gans - noch schnell bezahlt und wieder ab nach Hause. Sonderwünsche ( ich wollte mehr Klöße) werden gerne berücksichtigt. Eine Anleitung zur pefekten Zubereitung gab es auch dazu. Wir waren 5 Personen und alle waren begeistert !!! Die Gans, sowie die Zutaten waren einfach klasse. Sicherlich, etwa 150,00€ ist nicht wenig Geld, aber das Preis/Leistungverhältnis stimmt. Auch nächstes Jahr werde ich wieder eine Gans bestellen, dass kann ich absolut empfehlen !

Oma Claire pflegte hier vor rd. 35 Jahren immer Ihren Geburtstag zu feiern. Als Kind blieb mir ein "ordentlich" von Oma in Erinnerung bzgl. Qualität der angebotenen Speisen. 35 Jahre später ist Haus Overkamp nach wie vor eine Institution im Dortmunder Süden für gutes Essen. Die Gans war wunderbar, vielen Dank und bis nächstes Jahr.
