Disastrous service! Absolutely no empathy for the guests. Superficiality and disinterest prevailed. Since it was hardly busy, one of the waiters was sound asleep in the dining room 😳 This is unacceptable, so we decided not to eat there 😞

Food was great! I am only not giving 5 stars for the service because it took them a long time to go to our table, and also to bring the drinks afterwards and food later. Other than that, everything was great

Yesterday, we went there for the first time in a long while, just the two of us. We were very satisfied. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, from the very friendly and attentive service to the quality of the food, the selection of drinks, and the ambiance. We will definitely be back. We can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Yesterday, five of us went to an Italian restaurant, and unfortunately, the evening was a complete disappointment. First, we had to wait a full 45 minutes before we even got anything to drink. When the beer finally arrived, it wasn't even filled to the fill line. After I complained, the waitress was clearly offended, which was quite obvious. Shortly after, we had a different waiter who, at least, was very polite and friendly. The food itself, however, was an outrage: The pizza had an extremely thin crust and was practically bare – there was absolutely no topping. The pasta was still hard, and there was hardly any on the plate. For the quality you get here, the prices are completely unjustified. That was our first and definitely last visit. Not recommended!

The menu promises a lot, but unfortunately, the food lacks passion. The beetroot was presented without care and overpriced, while the pasta with ragù blanco was quite watery and tasteless. A shame. On the plus side, the wines were good and the service staff very friendly. I wouldn't eat there again.

The place is very nice and well located, overlooking the Christmas markets, and both the food and the staff are very friendly.

Not pleasantly warm in October (too cold!) Toilets in the basement (16 steps!!)

We went here on recommendation from the wonderful staff at Eissalon Brustalon ice cream shop. When we arrived, without reservations, we were told that possibly in 30 or 40 minutes they could seat the two of us. We waited outside for about five minutes and were politely informed that they had a table for us! The staff was absolutely wonderful and you can tell that it was a friendly place for many of the locals. Food was delicious and the location was wonderful. An easy walk from our VRBO on Jesuitenplatz.

We spent a wonderful evening at the restaurant on my birthday and opted for saltimbocca and tagliata di manzo – both dishes were an absolute delight! The saltimbocca was wonderfully tender, delicately seasoned, and perfectly paired with sage and prosciutto – just as you would expect from Italy. The tagliata di manzo was a highlight: buttery tender beef, cooked to perfection, with intense flavor, and superbly presented. The side dishes were fresh, authentic, and perfectly balanced in taste. The service also deserves high praise – warm, attentive, and with genuine Italian hospitality. The ambiance is cozy, stylish, and conveys a taste of Italy where you immediately feel at home. A restaurant that delights with authentic cuisine, high quality, and great attention to detail. Unreservedly recommended – we will definitely be back!

We had a reservation for 8 people since it was my father’s birthday. When we came here, they acted like they didn’t know there was a reservation and said “oh just sit there”. I asked if they had something like candles for on the dessert, unfortunately they did not. Our appetizers came quickly, but we waited 2 HOURS before our main dishes came. We mentioned this and it was after that, that they came with the food quickly. Some dishes were oke, some just were too dry. When we mentioned this to the waitress, she had the most ridiculous comment, and I quote “a tip for if you come to other restaurants, yell at us, scream at us if something is wrong with your food. Otherwise we would not know if it’s bad” We told her we waited for two hours and that we did not want to send our food back because it already took so long for it to come in the first place. I do NOT want to “scream” at a waiter because my food is bad, it should be good in the first place. She also said “yeah you waited for two hours, but look how busy it is” Sorry, but you are taking on so many people while you can’t handle it. The whole experience of the 60th birthday was ruined! If it wasn’t for the waitress who made these comments, I would not even have made this review. Those were just insane comments to make as a waitress. We have our own hospitality branch, so it was hilarious that someone would even dare to make those remarks to a customer.

We enjoyed the view over the square, the friendly and helpful staff as well the bottle of puglia rosé wine. Antipasti tasted delicious and luckily we decided to share one pizza, we later on learned about the size of the pizza served. We gave 15% tip

The al dente spaghetti was delicious.

Unfortunately, it was just disappointing. We waited over an hour for the food. The pasta arrived cold and inedible. The pizzas were okay. As an apology, we were given two plates of dessert. That was also fine. But we still missed the evening completely...

We had a wonderful evening with super friendly and attentive service. All the dishes were excellent (including the best pizza in a very long time, the appetizers were divine), and the wines were a perfect match. For this quality, you're happy to pay a bit more than at a "regular Italian restaurant."

We were at the restaurant on Friday evening and were actually looking forward to a nice Italian evening. The food was okay, but definitely not a highlight – the taste was solid, but far from what you'd expect for the prices. There are definitely better Italian restaurants in the area with more authentic flair and fairer value for money. The start was anything but successful: Despite an early reservation, there was no table available when we arrived, and we had to wait – without a greeting or explanation. Unacceptable, especially for a well-organized evening service. What bothered us most, however, was the waiter's behavior: very pushy, almost unpleasantly sales-oriented. Right from the start, we were served the more expensive bottle of water without asking – without any question or opportunity to choose. As the evening progressed, they constantly tried to "pull" additional dishes or more expensive options on us. It felt more like we were at a sales seminar than in a cozy restaurant. The low point, however, was the bill: the prices charged were higher than those listed on the menu. Our polite inquiry was met with only a snobby smile and a disparaging look – no apology, just a forced correction. The portion sizes are also disproportionate to the price. The "large" pizza was barely bigger than a small one, but cost significantly more – pure eyewash. Conclusion: If you value honest service, transparent pricing, and good food, this is definitely the wrong place. For us, this was our first and last visit.

Our last evening there was outstanding, simply perfect. The staff was more than accommodating; we received excellent service and detailed advice on individual drinks and dishes – before ordering a wine or beer, we were even allowed to sample the selection and be impressed by the excellent selection. The food was of exceptional quality and was all the more enjoyable in the truly beautiful setting of the evening light. My personal highlight, however, was the skill, charm, and talent of the manager, who not only knows how to serve his guests attentively, but also how to win over the kind of guest who visits a restaurant with the intention of criticizing it. Unfortunately, a distant acquaintance attended our dinner, who deliberately made the evening difficult not only for the guests sitting there, but especially for the young and charming waitress and the aforementioned manager, with repeated (unfounded!) criticism. However, while witnessing this in personal shame, I was able to witness a personality of chef, waiter, and person who not only remained calm, but with skill, sensitivity, and charisma managed to convince and satisfy even this notorious pessimist and dining partner. This was a great skill and the icing on the cake of my evening in this wonderful osteria, which I can only recommend in every respect!

Unfortunately, the food wasn't that good. I had the roast beef, which definitely wasn't served with pepper sauce and wasn't seasoned at all. The sauce had a jelly-like consistency and a strange flavor. The pizzas were very dry. The appetizers and desserts were all very good.

Very nice, friendly young people run the osteria. Both the menu and wine list offer a good (and delicious) selection. The dishes are of good quality, with high-quality flavors.

Six of us had dinner at Novecento and waited two hours for our food. During that time, we didn't even get a single bowl of pizza bread. But even worse was that the food was really, really unappetizing. We've never eaten such a bad pizza. And the salads were just as disappointing: one had almost no dressing and was missing several ingredients, while the other had completely limp and drowned lettuce leaves. All in all, our evening was a disappointment, and we went home hungry because the food was simply inedible. We will DEFINITELY never come back!!

Lovely ambiance, very clean, great friendly service, very tasty food, good portion size, tables nicely spaced out, prices seemed about average for restaurants in Koblenz. I would happily eat there again.

We had reserved in advance and were shown to our table as soon as we arrived. Unfortunately it was only half set, so the waiter had to bring cutlery and other utensils. Nevertheless, the staff was consistently friendly and accommodating. The ambience was attractive and invited you to linger. Although we had to wait a little longer for our food, this was more than compensated for by the excellent quality and taste. We would love to come back!

The food was really very good! The extensive wine list was organized by estate and Italian region. This is something you rarely find these days. Price-wise, everything was okay too. Gladly again!

Chic atmosphere, good service, great location. Unfortunately, the pizza was very sparsely topped. Despite my advice that there was very little salami on my pizza last time, this time I got very little toppings again... If there is any improvement here, I would be happy to come back. Otherwise, unfortunately it has to be the competition.

The pizza was tasty but the bruschetta was not edible. The selection of food could be larger, there was a lot of wine. The waiters were nice.

Really friendly people. Very good food (not a pizzeria, but good pizzas). However, the costs have caused the portions to shrink, so that even the slightest drop in quality really bothers the customer. The reserve for goodwill is very limited. The wine list is still great.

There were 2 of us and we had 2 pasta dishes. Both were way behind cooked, almost raw. The service was very slow and I had to ask for the bill 2 times before it arrived. Poor quality/price ratio. I also recommend removing the strawberry sorbet option at €4.5, as the portion is so small that it is almost a mockery for the customer who receives it.

Eravamo in 2 persone e abbiamo preso 2 piatti di pasta. Entrambi erano molto indietro di cottura, quasi cruda. Anche le porzioni erano appena sufficienti. Il servizio è stato molto lento e ho dovuto chiedere il conto 2 volte prima che arrivasse. Rapporto qualità prezzo/pessimo. Consiglio anche di togliere l'opzione del sorbetto alla fragola a 4.5€, in quanto la porzione è talmente irrisoria che è quasi una presa in giro per il cliente che lo riceve.

This Osteria has been one of my favorite addresses in Koblenz for more than 20 years. I'm rarely in Koblenz, but when I have the chance to eat at Osteria Novecento, I really celebrate it. Today I was allowed to sit on the terrace. The tables are set puristically without a lot of frills. A cloth napkin would be desirable at this price level, but it doesn't compromise the overall impression. The friendly greeting was followed by the card including daily recommendations. I chose the vitello tonnato, the monkfish saltimbocca with fregola sarda and braised cherry tomatoes. For dessert I chose a panna cotta with nectarine and mint oil. All dishes were a delight. The homemade bread that was served was also delicious. I could have stayed there for hours. But a drumming, great black cloud accompanied by lightning drove me, albeit happy, away from the scene of pleasure! I'm already looking forward to the next time. A highly satisfied guest.

Cozy restaurant with a rustic-style terrace, furnished like a German brewery. A few plants outside could add a bit more green and make the atmosphere even more pleasant. The service is friendly, even if it doesn't particularly stand out. The pizza is good but the value for money could be better. As for the pasta dishes: The pasta is pre-cooked and the portions are rather small in relation to the price. The quality of the ingredients could also be improved. Overall nothing out of the ordinary but still worth a visit for a calm and uncomplicated experience. The house wine, dessert and coffee are also good.

Das Restaurant an sich bietet akzeptable Küche. Nur das allein reicht nicht aus. Die Portionsgrössen gerade bei Pastagerichten waren unterschiedlich. Die Qualität der Pizza hat nachgelassen. Ewige Wartezeiten, da nur eine Servicekraft für unseren Tisch mit 20 Pax zustänndig war. Nach 25 minuten andauerndem Zahlungsvorgang habe ich den Hinweis gegeben, das dies sehr lang sei. Der Chef/Inhaber war eine Unvwrschämtheit in Person, der den Gast gerne belehrt, warum er eigentlich stört…Meiden Sie den Ort, wie wir fortan auch.

The waiters are all calm and friendly, no stress. The pizzas were super tasty and as described in the menu. The dessert was also tasty. Small menu, but the food has taste!!!!! When we are back in Koblenz, we would love to come back to eat in this restaurant 👍

Wir hatten uns leider von etlichen negativen Berichten nach dem Besitzerwechsel beeinflussen lassen und waren heute nach längerer Zeit endlich nochmal in der Osteria Novecento essen. Fazit: Laut, voll, italienisch. Es war so gut wie immer. Keine Ahnung, wo die negativen Kommentare herkommen! Vorspeise, Lachstartar mit Avocadocreme Spitze. Ich hätte als Hauptgang gerne das Ossobuco genommen, war leider aus. Wir nahmen stattdessen zwei Nudelgerichte und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Nachspeise Schokoladentartuffo - nix zu meckern. Tolle Weinauswahl, nette Bedienung. Ich hätte 5 Punkte vergeben, aber leider kam das berühmte Täfelchen mit den Tagesempfehlungen nicht bei uns an und wir stellten später fest, dass da einige Gerichte drauf waren, die wir gerne genommen hätten. Fazit: Wir kommen gerne wieder, und zwar bald!

The food was very tasty, the restaurant was cute, unfortunately the service was very bad. First the wrong soup came, then the waiter was musty and you had the feeling that every question was annoying. To be fair, we entered the restaurant 30 minutes before closing time. But I asked if that was ok and if we could order something else

The food can be described as just OK if your expectations are low. Salmon carpaccio carelessly cut out of the remains of a side of salmon, far too thick and with bones. Vitello Tonnato with a thin and relatively tasteless sauce. Fillet drowned in an indefinable sauce and carelessly served with mash and spinach. Claims and reality are worlds apart here. We also don't want to leave the service unmentioned - that is, what is offered as such. Completely inattentive, rude and cheeky - constructive criticism is later followed by “You are an extremely critical table, but we can deal with that” and puts the bill on the table without being asked (!!). You don't have to have it. Addendum from March 7, 2024: my review is almost a year old and has only now been published. It may be that improvements have been made…

Really great Osteria with a nice ambience and super delicious food 😋. We were there with a larger group. Tables were put together and very attractively prepared. Service was immediate, everyone was well looked after and the food was served at the same time. 👍 The pizzas 🍕 were really great. Nice and thin and crispy. And despite eating in the restaurant, it was already cut into pieces so that it could be easily eaten by hand. Absolutely recommended! 👍

The pizza was very good, the staff and owner were super friendly. The red wine, a Montepulciano, was excellent. Definitely worth a visit 👍

Last night we weren't happy with the food. The vitello tonato was missing the tuna and capers. Tasted very bland. My Fegato alla Veneziano could be described as an impudence. Six small pieces of veal liver in a tasteless polenta sauce for an overpriced €29.90. My wife's Oso Buco tasted very good. However, the portion is quite manageable. The restaurant used to be much better in terms of taste and price when it was previously owned.

In diesem Lokal haben wir heute zu Mittag gegessen und waren zufrieden. Ein sehr schönes Ambiente und die Angestellten sind sehr angenehm. Das Essen kam ziemlich zügig. Wir werden wieder kommen :)

Es ist ein toller Ort in der Innenstadt von Koblenz, wir waren sehr zurieden, besonders die Servicekraft hat uns sehr gut bedient und ist auf alle Wünsche eingegangen, wirklich sehr nett. Das Essen war sehr gut und das gezapfte Bier stimmte auch, ich kann hier nur sagen ... wenn man schnell und gut und in einem tollem Ambiente Essen möchte dann kann man hier auf jeden Fall einkehren. Wir waren mit 4 Personen da und das war Preislich immer noch alles Ok!

Pizza viel zu groß. Wartezeit sehr lange, über 40 Min., dafür nichts besonderes, heißt, durchschnttlicher Teig und schlechter Belag (Salami). Das Lokal werde ich wohl nicht mehr besuchen.

Spitzen Service und das Essen eine 12 von 10 wirklich sehr empfehlenswert! Meine Frau und ich sind begeistert und werden nochmal kommen. Viele Grüße

Leider waren wir am Samstag nicht zufrieden. Als Veganer hat man hier das Nachsehen. Es gibt ein veganes Gericht (Pasta Aglio Olio) und wenn man das nicht mag wird’s eng. Die Pizza war leider recht klein und mager belegt. Die Wartezeit aufs Essen mit über einer Stunde ist zu lang.

Update 02.12.23 Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich! Das Essen kam trotz vollem Restaurant sehr zügig und war sehr lecker! Alles war bestens und wir kommen gerne wieder!

Hervorragend in allen Punkten Sehr zu empfehlen

Wir waren an einem Montag Abend zum späten Abendessen vor Ort. Die Kellner waren an sich bemüht, der Service allerdings nicht gut. Es waren keine klaren Zuständigkeiten geklärt, daher haben wir teils sehr lange auf einen Kellner gewartet. Zudem auch nach der Vorspeise 1 (!) Stunde auf den Hauptgang. Als der dann endlich kam, mussten wir nochmal auf den Löffel warten, dann wurde abrupt die Musik ausgeschaltet und man hörte nur noch das klimpern des Bestecks - alles in allem leider enttäuschend, gerade auch bei dem eher höheren Preisniveau. Das Essen war zwar gut, aber konnte man dann leider nicht genießen. :(

Ambiente schön. Die Nudelgerichte lesen sich toll, enttäuschen aber in Realität. An den Zutaten wird extrem gespart. Es gibt kaum Käse oder im Fall von Parmesan (in der Speisekarte angeführt) gar nichts. Auf Nachfrage dann geriebenen Parmesan aus der Dose.

Ein tolles italienisches Erlebnis in Koblenz! Alles war super lecker von der Vorspeise über die Hauptspeise und den super Espresso als Abschluss. Der Service super nett und zuvorkommend. Hier waren wir nicht zum letzten Mal! Danke!

Dieses absolut authentische Restaurant begeistert uns seit Jahren immer wieder. Hier werden Rezepte bestens umgesetzt, um genau zu sein, als hätte die italienische Großmutter für uns gekocht. Im Freundes- und Bekanntenkreis sowie für uns ist das Restaurant erste Adresse wenn es heißt: "Wo gehen wir heute Abend essen?"

Nach Jahren mal wieder dort gewesen. Ist trotz neuer Leitung gleich geblieben. Die Speisekarte und auch die ziemliche aus unserer Sicht bestehende Betriebsamkeit bzw. Hektik. Es war hoher Geräuschpegel. Auf der Weinkarte war gefühlt die Hälfte mit einem Punkt versehen, leider nicht vorrätig. Leider waren die Karten nicht alle gleich abgeklebt, so musste der Kellner helfen. Die Flasche Wein kam geöffnet an den Tisch, na ja. Die bestellten Nudeln und Pizza waren okay, aber geschmacklich nichts besonderes. Alles in allem okay

Wir kennen die Osteria schon etliche Jahre und waren immer sehr zufrieden mit dem Angebot.Durch verschiede Ereignisse waren wir über Jahre nicht mehr dort.Umso enttäuschter waren wir als sich die Gelegenheit ergab mal wieder dort einzukehren .Verändert am Ambiente hat sich fast nichts ,aber insgesamt an der Qualität der Gerichte,leider ,das kann auch die freundliche Übernahme der gesamten Kosten der Hauptspeisen nicht ausgleichen auch nicht das wirklich nette Auftreten des Herrn der uns bediente .mit der Meinung das man auch mal etwas Pech haben kann versuchten wir ein paar Wochen später noch mal,und wurden wieder enttäuscht,das Essen hätte man auch an einer Imbissbude bekommen,schade das es nicht möglich ist einen guten Ruf außer bei den Preisen zu halten würde empfehlen die Reklame bestes italienisches Lokal in gehobene Imbisstube zu ändern .Es ist schade das ich dies so schreiben muss aber für den Preis der leider genommen werden muss erwarte ich doch etwas mehr .Ich wünsche dem Lokal das es wieder an alte Zeiten anschließen kann

Die neuen Inhaber setzen die positive Entwicklung mit einem TOP-Service und sehr guter Küche fort. Auch die Weine können sich sehen und schmecken lassen.

Wir haben uns zum Abendessen entschieden, in der osteria novecento auf dem Münzplatz zu essen. Vorspeise solte werden Bruschetta. Hauptspeise Pizza calabria. Beides Geschmackvoll.Pizza besonders gut im Geschmack . Kann andere Bewertung nicht nachvollziehen. Ist Ja auch nicht meine Aufgabe.

Das Local wirkt auf dem ersten Blick etwas schüchtern und versteckt, aber das muss es gar nicht - es ist so wunderbar. Mit Glück sitzt man am offenen Fenster, an einem kleinen Tisch. Leise spielt im Hintergrund italienische Musik und man denkt unweigerlich an “Susi und Strolch, schön ist die Nacht”. Die Weinkarte allein ist eine liebevolle Reise durch Italien. Das Essen eine Gaumenfreude. Sehr nettes Personal und ein wunderbarer Chef. Marco, wir danken dir für einen tollen Abend und ab jetzt unser “Lieblingsitaliener”. Wir kommen unbedingt wieder. Noch als Empfehlung: ein Sarti und nur so, wie ihn Marco macht ;)

Die Osteria Novecento zählt seit Jahren für Freunde der italienischen Küche zu den ersten Adressen in Koblenz. Die exzellente Qualität der Speisen und Getränke, ein guter Service und das ansprechende Ambiente des Hauses (drinnen wie draußen) verdienen sich beste Noten. Besonders der Mittagstisch ist eine Empfehlung wert! Top!

Wir waren an einem Dienstagabend zu neunt hier zu Gast! Die Weinauswahl ist hervorragend, die Karte mit den Gerichten ist ausgewogen und nicht überladen. Klassisch italienisch. Die Gerichte waren durch die Bank sehr lecker, das Risotto ist noch optimierbar. Der Service war gut. Wir waren zufrieden!

Bei Google steht Öffnungszeit 0 Uhr. Tatsächlich schließt die küche um 22 Uhr. Wenn man nicht unnötig hinfahren will sollte das auch bei Google richtig eingetragen werden

Sehr leckeres Essen, sehr empfehlenswert. Service (wir sind dort nicht Stammkunden) hat teils noch ein wenig Potential. Schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten im Außenbereich. Insgesamt gut!
