Food very good, service extremely friendly. One of the best Italian restaurants in Cuxhaven. Hopefully the staff can withstand the stress, they work until they drop. There are few owner-operated restaurants that... be managed with so much commitment.

Super tasty at a great price. Portions more than sufficient. But you better reserve a table. It tastes so good that it's hard to get something without a reservation. Ordering away from home is possible without any problems within a very short time.

Unfortunately, we cannot add a positive experience to the numerous positive reviews that led to our reservation... Unfortunately, the four of us plus a high chair for our 1-year-old daughter were placed in a very narrow corner that was still half restricted by the wine cabinet. After we had been sitting for some time, a service member came and asked what we wanted. A person named the drink he wanted, then suddenly left without saying a word. A few minutes later a colleague came. According to the menu, the Alster Restaurant serves non-alcoholic, 0.4 liters. We got: half a glass of lemon fizz and a bottle of non-alcoholic beer, which we had to mix ourselves. So far so good. The starter came relatively quickly and was also very tasty. Because of our daughter, we had made a reservation specifically for 5:30 p.m., but unfortunately it took longer and longer and our daughter's mood got worse and worse. All attempts at distraction eventually failed and she then became very restless. In between, the restaurant manager (?) came and asked if she was hungry yet. We agreed... All the tables around us got their main courses. Unfortunately, it took another 30 minutes until we received our main courses - after we commented for the second time whether something had gone wrong. The colleague I just mentioned looked shocked at the kitchen, which then apparently made the pizza in a hurry, because the dough was still very flimsy and the cheese (of which there was far too much on the pizza for us) was still very light and "unbaked". During the meal the restaurant manager came again? and noted that our daughter was already very restless, quote "Can she manage it?" To make matters worse, our daughter still had to be changed. We asked at the counter if there was a changing facility and the employee looked towards the terrace. "Unfortunately all the tables are full. Do you mind here?" and points to a regular guest table next to the counter area, at the next table there were guests who were eating. I reluctantly changed my daughter's diaper there because there was no alternative. Afterwards we just wanted to pay. The fact that card payment wasn't possible that day (the device was broken) could have been mentioned beforehand, but that's fine All in all, we have to say that we are very disappointed with the service and as a family we didn't feel welcome at all and actually felt like a nuisance. You can argue about the ambience, you have to like it. Overall we found it much too narrow. The food, especially the bruschetta, was good.

I had a very, very tasty Italian meal here with my boyfriend as part of a vacation. The original plan to eat outside didn't come to fruition due to a lack of free seats and so we went inside the restaurant - which immediately stood out with a very cozy and homely atmosphere. The staff were also very friendly and made you feel very welcome. We ate (after the free, very tasty bread) spaghetti aglio e olio and the classic lasagna. Both tasted really good, especially the very delicately seasoned spaghetti. Update: The next day we went to eat here again, this time to try out their pizza. And here too, both my friend and I were thrilled: We chose the Pizza Prosciutto, Funghi e Salami and the Pizza Funghi - the latter (due to a vegan choice) without cheese, which made the pizza better because of the great dough, the delicious tomato sauce and the The pickled mushrooms didn't hurt at all.

The restaurant was well attended, at first the service was very nice, then after our starter the pizza was forgotten and others who had ordered far after us already received their main course. When the boss noticed us, she apologized and said that we had been forgotten, but our pizza would come now. It came too and tasted delicious too. While clearing the plates I ordered an espresso, which was also forgotten. I reminded the waitress again, unfortunately I still didn't get an espresso and then went to the front to pay. Not a nice end to the evening. At the neighboring table, some things were not brought correctly. The service was probably overwhelmed.

We had dinner there with the family in August and we really enjoyed it. You can also sit outside (reservation outside is not possible). You should make a reservation for inside.

The food was of top quality, as far as I could tell, all the ingredients were fresh and definitely of high quality. The service was largely super friendly, courteous and attentive. Unfortunately, there was a small mishap at the end when food that was supposed to be taken away was thrown away. Put a little damper on the evening. The atmosphere was wonderful, we sat quietly and had a good chat. Price/performance more than satisfactory.

I don't know what they do differently than the other pizzerias, but the result is just great - like in the south! We ordered Spezi, Bruschetta Classic and Pizza Funghi. The Spezi was very tasty - more orange than, for example, that of Krombacher. The food tasted pretty good too. We would definitely recommend Bruschetta Classic - especially the onions on top were great. Deliciously sweet and not too oniony. We also liked the Funghi pizzas, but the crust could have been as crispy on the outside as in the middle and the toppings could have been more evenly distributed - but there was a lot of cheese and mushrooms on them. The portion sizes were definitely satisfactory and everything tasted super fresh :) The service was always nice, but unfortunately it happened to us that our order was lost and we had to wait a little longer. That wasn't so nice because we came back hungry from swimming. As someone who works in the catering industry myself, I understand that something like this can happen. We sat outside and about the ambience we can say that the view in the evening/night by the sea with the sunset was a relief for the spirit - a bit cold but that was just because it was on the coast and we were just sitting . I think doilies for outdoor use would be useful.

We get takeaway here several times every year on vacation. The location on the beach is great, you can enjoy the sea or the mud flats in peace while you wait for the take-away food. The service has remained super friendly over the years, the atmosphere is calm and invites you to linger. The food is very tasty and any special requests are taken into account. For example, instead of tomato sauce, use a bechamel sauce for the pasta. The pizza is crisp and fresh even when taken away, it comes in a sturdy cardboard box, the pasta comes in a typical light metal bowl with a coated lid. This keeps you warm enough to take the hot food with you to the holiday apartment, and there is a paper carrier bag for transport. There are also some dishes for vegetarians. The restaurant is located in the basement, with an outdoor area (accessible with strollers/mobility restrictions). The restaurant can be reached via an outside staircase, which is passable with strollers.

Wow. What high quality ingredients for the meal, what great, friendly and attentive service. If you want to treat yourself to culinary delights in Cuxhaven, you should definitely get to know this place. The family atmosphere is also available free of charge. Just great.

Great pizzeria and super nice staff. We paid an average of €10 per pizza for four people. The pizzas were all large and plentiful and, above all, well topped. You can tell that someone here is thinking about dough, sauce and cheese. Super tasty, we’ll be happy to come back!

We had to wait half an hour in front of the restaurant. We were told there were no more places. However, people who came after us were served before us. Such behavior is out of the question. Maybe the food tastes good. However, it can't be that good to allow yourself to be treated in such an unkind and inhumane way. I cannot recommend the restaurant.

Während unseres Aufenthaltes in Duhnen haben wir uns spontan für dieses Restaurant entschieden und Glück gehabt, dass noch 3 Plätze frei waren. Der Service war freundlich, schnell und humorvoll, wie wir es uns immer wünschen. Die Essen waren große Portionen, ein bisschen zu groß für uns, denn wir haben nicht alles geschafft. Die Zahl der Gäste wurde immer größer und viele warteten geduldig, dass ein Platz frei wird, und das aus gutem Grund behaupte ich.

Small restaurant in the basement with additional outdoor seating directly behind the dike promenade. Very cozy. The food is excellent and at normal prices. My pizza Fruttidimare was generously topped with large scampi and mussels in the shell and squid. Fresh leek, chili, garlic. My wife had a pizza with Parma ham, arugula and fresh shaved parmesan. Friendly service, but with communication difficulties, like being on holiday abroad! Thank you, we would love to come back.

We had a delicious evening! 😊 We sat inside, which in hindsight is even better, the ambience is nicely done. The outside area is also okay. Starters and pizzas were very tasty and the portions were very large. You could have left out the starter or shared something 😅 The pasta for other tables looked great too. Staff very friendly and great atmosphere despite the full restaurant. Reasonably priced for the quality and quantity.

Insanely good! The pizza is great. The dough is crispy, the ingredients are fresh and plentiful. Original Italian preparation, the topping is added fresh later and is not simply baked flat with cheese. Also highly recommended is the bruschetta (the best I know and a really good potion) and tiramisu as dessert. Ok, then you have to be careful that you can still get up, but it's just really an experience. Plus still friendly service. Thanks!

We couldn't imagine a holiday in Duhnen without a visit to the Osteria Martini. Very tasty pizzas, the best pasta with seafood, very good meat dishes, huge portions, extremely nice and courteous service, we had many great evenings with you again. Thank you and see you next time

I asked for a screwdriver and a ladder to remove the Italian restaurant sign. It has nothing to do with Italian cuisine. I asked for a limoncello and they brought me a sort of non-alcoholic lemon-flavored broth. I asked for pork shank and they brought me 2 slices of pork neck. I left feeling sad.

All in all it was a nice overall impression. The food, we ordered pizza, was OK. Actually lavishly topped, which was a bit too much for me, but that's a matter of taste. We paid almost 20 euros for a pizza because they simply charged a 3 euro surcharge for extra salami. It may be common here, but it was an expensive pizza that didn't taste great. The service was nice and very attentive.

We were there on Friday, June 14th, 2024 with our little son (10 weeks)... it was simply wonderful, the way we were welcomed, the way we were looked after was really world class! The service is completely professional and the food is excellent, we have never tasted such delicious tiramisu… This evening will be remembered forever and we will 100% come back. Keep it up!!!

We finished our cycling trip along the Elbe today and were able to be your guests today after over 800 km on the bike. It was, so to speak, the crowning glory of being able to be your guests. The lasagna we ate Benissimo and then getting a second helping was simply extraordinary. If you also have such nice table neighbors, it's a day that you'll remember forever. Mille Mille Grazie!!

Diese italienische Osteria kann man nur empfehlen. Das Ambiente, die Freundlichkeit des Personals, das leckere hausgemachte Brot als Vorspeise, alles einfach toll. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Portionen sind SEHR großzügig. Die Linguine war "al dente", wie man es sich wünscht. Linguine Salmone - sehr lecker! Reservieren nicht vergessen!

Sorry guys, I can't understand all the positive reviews. But it is what it is. Tastes are different and everyone experiences it differently. The focus here is on quantity instead of class. We ordered spaghetti aglio olio, pizza with suckling pig beer and shandy. We got 2 beers. The hint that one of the beers should be a Radler was either not understood or simply ignored. The spaghetti was drowned in olive oil. Could have been spaghetti oil soup. This too was simply ignored. The pizza was awesome. The meat was so tough that it was inedible. The pizza dough was so saturated with fat that it dissolved and in the end there was only a thick layer of cheese on the plate. Conclusion for us. Never again.

We ate here during our vacation. I had the suckling pig pizza. An absolute dream. My wife had pasta with salmon and absolutely loved it. We went there this evening without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a seat inside. The waitresses are friendly and quick. As a starter there was a tomato soup and the Bruschetta Classica, which was accompanied by a note from the waiter that it was a large portion. And indeed this portion of the starter was large and, above all, so tasty. I have rarely eaten such a delicious bruschetta. As a starter there was a Funghi pizza and a salmon spinach lasagna, both of which were also very tasty. There are various Italian hard drinks at the bar and there is even a ham hanging in the back that leads to the kitchen. A basket of bread, bread with tomatoes and bread with olives was also brought as a starter. Since we were there quite early in the evening, we noticed the trouble and I can only advise you to make a reservation in advance.

Der Besuch der Osteria rundet wieder einmal unseren Kurzurlaub ab.Wie immer konnte ich mich schwer entscheiden zwischen den ganzen Köstlichkeiten. Für meinen Mann war es klar ,es sollte Pizza Frutti di Mare werden.Für mich gab es Pizza Salmone .Die Pizzen waren reichlich belegt und sehr schmackhaft .Das Personal wie immer sehr freundlich und kommunikativ.Man hat hier das Gefühl dass alle hier mit Liebe ihren Job machen und fühlt sich sehr willkommen!

Absolute recommendation! Such warm people, absolutely excellent food, the bread basket with homemade olive and pizza bread was absolutely bomb, the bruscetta as a starter was outstanding with an incredibly tasty pesto. If requested, pizza with a little garlic was more than just perfect, and the garlic wasn't skimped on either. The seafood pasta was so good and lots of seafood and large shrimps. The children's plate was huge and also absolutely delicious. Unfortunately we were there on the last day otherwise we would have gone straight back! Next time we'll eat there again, it was great!! and the price was very reasonable too! Preferably give 10 stars!

We had booked a table in advance and had to wait a few minutes and were provided with drinks while we waited. The food in our case was a variety of pizzas and was excellent. The dough had a good consistency and the toppings were plentiful and fresh. And good ingredients were used. The service was excellent and we felt very well looked after there.

We have been guests at Osteria Martini for many years. Whatever we eat, pizza, pasta or something from the daily menu: simply original and original, excellent craftsmanship and simply delicious. Drinks and food of the quality but never too high in price. The service...here they still know how it works, and with open warmth! Definitely our recommendation, but: definitely reserve a table!!!

In the future, I will always compare Italian food in Germany with that enjoyed here. And the comparisons will have a very, very difficult time topping the food here. We had to wait a bit but didn't have a reservation. The very friendly waitress then gave us a table. The walls are decorated with movie posters from old Italian films. The drinks came quickly, the food was brought as ordered for the children along with our starter. The bruschetta alone was very good. The pasta Aglio e Olio was fresh, all the ingredients seemed very fresh and high quality. The pizzas were large and very tasty. We will definitely come back when we are in Cuxhaven again.

The last time we ate such delicious Italian food was in Italy. The same applies to the ambience and service. If you want to warm up from the stiff breeze, the greeting and the starter are enough: your heart will be warm. The portions are very generous and almost impossible to manage (e.g. the bruscetta). Wow!!! If you ignore the almost iconic 80s style, you can enjoy an incredibly delicious Italian meal! Attention: Huge portions ;-) Nevertheless, the prices are absolutely normal. Wir hatten einen sehr netten Abend in schönem Ambiente. Leider war ich nach Vorspeise und Hauptgericht so satt, dass ein Nachtisch leider nicht mehr passen wollte. Hervorzuheben ist der freundliche Service und die sehr gute Auswahl an Digestiven.
