We ate at your restaurant for the first time today. The portions are more than generous and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. It certainly won't be our last visit. The waiters were very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. Excellent service. Even with a dog, there were no problems.

We celebrated a milestone birthday with the family with a fantastic meal there. All the guests were completely satisfied, and the food was simply fantastic. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. We even got to decorate the room. We'll definitely be back!

If you're ever really hungry and out and about in Sahlenburg, this is the place to go. I've never had such a mountain of pasta served on one plate. And it tasted fantastic, too. I've rarely eaten such juicy and perfectly prepared salmon. Excellent. I'll be visiting this place on every vacation up here from now on.

Delighted 👍. We had reserved inside as a precaution (🌦😬), but luckily☀️ we were able to sit outside. There were four of us plus Mathilda (a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog), and we had a wonderful spot with a view of the North Sea. The service was attentive and courteous. Our ordered dishes (pizza frutti di mare, caprese, tonno, and diavolo) were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant; we'd gladly return.

Very friendly service staff. The large mushroom pizza and the 4-season pizza were very well-filled, along with three different dips. The grappa and limoncello after the meal were all delicious. Very good value for money.

We wanted to go out for dinner on our last evening and stopped here and asked if there was a seat available. We were told we could just sit anywhere outside, which we did. Even though it was very busy, we were noticed after a short while and a waitress said he would come over right away. Less than five minutes later, he took our drinks order and shortly afterward, our food order. The tuna pizza was incredibly delicious; we've rarely eaten such a good pizza. The garlic soup was also delicious; we really enjoyed it even though we weren't familiar with it. The waitresses were all very friendly. The prices are also completely reasonable. If we ever make another short trip to Sahlenburg, we would definitely come back.

It was very nice to sit there in a good spot with a view of the sea. I had spaghetti with Gorgonzola, which was delicious. The portions were huge. Two people could easily have shared the meal, but they packed up the leftovers for me and prepared dinner for the next day. The staff are super friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.

On a bike ride, we stopped for a drink, saw the delicious pasta at the next table, and ordered spaghetti frutti di mare and spaghetti siciliana...it was a delight. Add to that the lovely ambiance on the terrace and the incredibly friendly service, and it was a perfect restaurant visit. We'll definitely be returning.

Highly recommended We had the Frutti de Mare pizza and the chicken breast fillet with broccoli and were both very impressed. The wait was short and perfectly reasonable given the occupancy. The food was delicious. The staff's excellent service was particularly noteworthy. We sat outside, and after a while, it started to rain. We were immediately offered a seat under the canopy (even though the remaining table was already reserved but still unoccupied). They also made sure there was enough space for the stroller. Very attentive and friendly staff. We'll definitely be back. Keep up the good work :)

We actually wanted to eat Greek food next door, but apparently the opening hours weren't right. Here, we received good and friendly service. The pizzas we had were good, and they also served various dips and parmesan cheese. All in all, it was delicious! I like to drink my beer from tulip glasses, which are also served here, but I don't see them that often these days. All in all, I can recommend this Italian restaurant without hesitation!

Great restaurant right on the beach with a view of the North Sea. Super friendly service. The Pizza Parma (always a test for me when it comes to Italian restaurants: if the pizza is good, the Italian food is usually good too...) was outstanding. Crispy and fluffy dough, flavorful tomato sauce, and plenty of Parma ham, Parmesan flakes, and arugula. The scampi pan was a real treat! I would definitely call it an absolute insider tip for this restaurant. The prices were still reasonable – the Pizza Parma for €17 and the scampi pan for €19. That's perfectly fine. When it got a bit cooler in the evening, we and many others sitting outside on the beautiful terrace were readily given blankets and pillows – so we could enjoy the sunset with an excellent Italian meal. The drinks arrived promptly after ordering, and the food was reasonable. It took a long time to arrive – simply perfect! We had a wonderful evening, delicious food, and a super romantic atmosphere. We highly recommend "Il Giardino" and thank you!

Beautiful location, the pizzas were delicious. The addition of garlic oil, chili oil, and Parmesan cheese rounded out the flavor perfectly. The prices are a bit high, though; you're simply paying for the location. The service is very friendly and fast.

It's a shame that you no longer have to serve two guests sitting on the terrace at 7:30 p.m. and, after receiving the menu, say, "The chef says there's nothing left to eat today." That's unacceptable. The cash registers were probably already too full.

Since we discovered you, it no longer makes sense to eat anywhere else... :-) You welcome us with open arms, and we notice that every guest is truly welcome here: whether with or without a dog, as an individual or a large family. Our super-friendly waiter, Toni, gives us a smile even in his most stressed-out state and lovingly treats our little dog, Dobby, to a sausage... We've now become regular customers, trying the menu from top to bottom and have never been disappointed by the delicious food! The pizzas are fresh and generously topped with good ingredients and served with delicious oils and Parmesan cheese. The pasta dishes are wonderfully flavorful, and the meat is very tender. In the afternoon, we find it hard to resist your delicious and generous ice cream sundaes... Coming to you has become like "coming home" for us, something we wouldn't want to miss anymore! We can't understand bad reviews at all and find them more than unfair! Because you give it your all and deserve excellent feedback... We look forward to our next visit with you!!! :-)

Unfortunately, this restaurant is no longer recommended. Criticism of the food is dismissed with a rude attitude. The seafood had shells. When we pointed this out, we were told we'd only buy that. After ordering a second drink, we've been waiting 30 minutes. Yay, it just arrived! Unfortunately, our reserved table wasn't available. Unfortunately, other guests, who were greeted with a handshake, were. Conclusion: 2 out of 5 dishes were satisfactory. The service was rude. We won't be going back.

A small, simple, and cozy restaurant on the Sahlenburg promenade, right by the sea. Despite a spontaneous visit and a full restaurant, we were quickly seated. They served classic, tasty Italian dishes. I had pasta aglio e olio with shrimp, which, at my personal request, was topped with extra fresh red chilies. All pasta dishes come with a bowl of fresh garlic, hot pepper oil, and Parmesan cheese at no extra charge. This allows everyone to refine their dish to their own personal taste. The service was particularly noteworthy. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and exuded Italian charm and good humor without being intrusive. Simply a lovely restaurant experience! The value for money was very good. The portions were already too large for us and impossible to finish. Nevertheless, the quality was fresh and good. We finished with a nightcap and were treated to a second one on the house (Limoncello and Fernet Branca). We had a good, plentiful meal and felt well looked after and welcome. We will be back. A big thank you again to the restaurant team for the lovely evening.

Food: Perfect quality. I was reasonably full. I can't really confirm the supposedly superb hospitality mentioned in the reviews here. Everyone was asked during the meal whether they were satisfied, but we weren't. There were pleasant conversations with the guests, but we were somehow barely noticed. They also asked if we wanted anything else to drink or anything else – none of that happened. The other guests were – we could see and hear that. Perhaps there was something about us that put the staff off – I don't know. We were nice, dressed normally, and didn't complain. Well, they probably have their reasons. Great food, expected famous Italian hospitality was a flop – hence the 3 stars.

It was my first time eating at Il Giardino and I wondered why I hadn't eaten there sooner. There were four of us and we had a lovely table outside. Even though it was very busy, we still had a good conversation. The service was very friendly and, despite the fact that it was very busy, didn't seem stressed. The food was served quickly and was truly delicious. There really was nothing to complain about. I'd go back!

Such a great restaurant, with super friendly service. We brought our dog, Tino, with us, and he was immediately given fresh water and a treat. Highly recommended. My favorite restaurant, I'm happy to drive almost two hours for it. Top-notch quality, great value for money. As someone who's had gastric surgery, it's hard to find good restaurants that understand if you don't finish your portion (the child's portion), but here they're understanding and even pack it up. The food arrived quickly (even faster since we had two kids with us), and everything came at the same time. The pizzas had great toppings and a perfect thin crust. There are three side dishes (garlic oil, chili paste, and Parmesan). Excellent! The pasta was also delicious, and there's something for every taste. Nothing to complain about! Fantastic pizza with a magnificent view! If you don't want fish, but want the tastiest pizza in the north, this is the place for you. Service is very attentive – as a fellow diner, I was given a plate and cutlery as a matter of course. The pizza came with two dips: pepperoni & garlic and a bowl of excellent Parmesan, something we've never had before – we were thrilled – it was the icing on the cake for the very tasty pizza. Be sure to try the ice cream = highly recommended – really creamy and tasted authentic – not "artificial!" We will definitely come back for more food during our vacation. Thank you all 🤩

A typical Italian restaurant. Not modern/chic, but cozy. And most importantly, super delicious food.

A typical Italian restaurant with views of the North Sea, the beach, and the Wadden Sea. The seating is both sheltered and comfortable. The service is very good and attentive. The food was excellent; we've rarely eaten such delicious and well-topped pizzas. The crust was thick on the outside and very thin on the inside, and, as I said, the toppings and seasoning were very good. The prices are quite reasonable and appropriate for the surroundings. I definitely recommend it, and I'd be happy to return sometime!
