We got a table relatively quickly and were pleasantly surprised. We received our food and drinks relatively quickly and also a small selection of parmesan, chili and garlic oil - free of charge. That surprised us a lot because we don't know that anymore these days. We would recommend to everyone.

Very nice service, totally uncomplicated, if you decide to eat on site it's no problem. Dogs are also warmly welcomed and treated. A water bowl is ready. The pizza is very tasty and good value for money. You can eat well with a family of 5. We're not from here, but we would definitely come again.

We had ordered a table for dinner inside but then had to sit outside in 10 degree weather. There were 8 of us and all 8 dishes were just satisfactory.

The positive surprise in Salenburg-Cuxhaven. Authentic Italian cuisine in a great environment. The staff is friendly and competent. The food was lovingly prepared and very tasty. You can also bring dogs with you without any problems, but if you want to sit in the winter garden you should make a reservation.

There were three of us in this nice restaurant right on the coast. We had ordered garlic soup, pizza Pugliese, spaghetti scampi and spaghetti bolognaise for ourselves. The food was very tasty and the portions were large. The service was really nice and we felt completely comfortable. Unfortunately we were already too full for dessert😁. This restaurant is on our to do list again next year!

We have been guests at Il Giardino for many years. We always like to come because of the consistently good quality of the food at a reasonable price, served by carefully polite, friendly and courteous staff. Added to this is the beautiful location with a Mediterranean flair thanks to the palm trees and oleanders on the terrace with a view of the North Sea and mudflats.

the food was of decent quality. But honestly, to charge 7...10Eur for tapas, someone has lost the measure. Other HH location 5€, (also decent). With a Ryan Air ticket and a restaurant in Palma (€2...3) it's not more expensive either.

We've just come out of the restaurant, we're excited and fed up with cardboard. We are currently on holiday here for a few days and decided on this Italian restaurant today. I've never experienced anything like this...where the chef personally asks you whether the food is enough or whether he should do something more. ❤️ We had 2 small children with us, they were welcomed with open hearts (super child-friendly). At least one ⭐ more for that. The service and the food were simply great and very usual. 1000 ⭐ from us.

The boss is very unfriendly, this is the second time we've eaten there. I ate there today for €33.10 and paid with a €100 note and the boss said; If I didn't have it smaller, he didn't have so much money in his wallet, he first had to make my note smaller somewhere else. When he came back he slammed five 20s on the table and said here they have their hundred. I then paid my amount, I mean as a restaurant you should have small notes in your wallet, especially as a boss. We were only on vacation here for 2 weeks, but if we come to Sahlenburg again, we won't eat there again.

Had the scampi salad. And literally it was scampi with salad and not just scampi with salad. So delicious and so many scampi for a really fair price! Can really only recommend it!

Regular guests for years. Today we want to order take away at 6:30 p.m. This was rejected without explanation and in an extremely unfriendly manner. Where is that? On the flip flops? We're never coming back.

The staff here are just wonderful. They make the place! Especially the manager / owner makes you feel so comfortable even when you walk in rained on and with rained on dogs. We will be back!

I was here once years ago. Everything went smoothly and super quickly. Today, July 2024, I've been trying to get through by phone since 6:00 p.m. Nobody answers. Not for two hours. Well, almost two hours. It's closed at 8 p.m., and that's in summer. So I walked past. At 7:45 p.m. I was turned away with the words “we are no longer taking orders, it’s almost closing time.” Well then, if you don't want to make any more sales in a holiday resort shortly before 8, then that's the way it is.

We were in Sahlenburg for a little vacation. After a visit to the beautiful forest outdoor pool, we rounded off the day with a pizza. The pizza tasted great, three bowls of pepperoni and garlic sauce and parmesan were served. The service was nice and accommodating. We'd love to go there again!

The pizza was very tasty. Good value for money. Beautiful view of the Wadden Sea and the island of Neuwerk. Very friendly staff who also have treats for the four-legged visitors. The takeaway pizza also includes garlic oil and pepperoni oil👍

I got pizza here for lunch to eat on the beach with the family. Delicious dough, definitely homemade, good and tasty toppings, well baked, price-performance ratio is absolutely right. I'd love to come back for dinner.

Great service and incredibly good pizzas! I had Frutti de Mare, my husband had the Diavolo and we really enjoyed the food and didn't eat it in a hurry! My husband even says it's the best pizza he's ever had outside of Italy! With the three dips on the side, simply fantastic! If we end up in Cuxhaven again, you'll be firmly in the plans! 👍👍👍

I rarely write reviews. If I do it, then only if it was very good. It was very good. Everything was very tasty, big compliments to the kitchen! The price-performance ratio is right. Despite the great location, the prices are completely reasonable. The waiters were all very friendly. You immediately feel comfortable. No wonder there is always a lot going on there. You're great! We were definitely not there for the last time!

Delicious food and not too greasy either

We were on vacation for 7 days and went there every day for the 7 days, all the waiters were perfect, just as you would imagine them to be, friendly, nice, some of them young people where it rained last Friday evening was our last day (because we left on Saturday ) the one waiter who served us the last few days even told us to sit down, the table was reserved for 6:30 p.m. and we were allowed to sit there until 6:25 p.m., eat really perfect drinks just like that and the restaurant is very good, even perhaps the best restaurant that I've ever been in.

We spent our vacation in the area and in my opinion this was the best restaurant we visited. Very friendly service with a wonderful atmosphere and beautiful views.

Came across this restaurant through Google reviews. And it was worth it. I have no idea when I last had such a good pizza (Diavolo). There were also three “dips”. Once garlic oil, hot sauce and parmesan. Garlic oil is a poem. A little bit of this on the very crispy and delicious edge.... Heavenly.... If you want to dine on site, you should make a reservation. The shop was full, which is no surprise given the good food 😋

Unfortunately only two stars because I received a pizza with half raw scampi and raw tomatoes, that's not possible at all as an Italian you should actually know something like that, the scampi and cherry tomatoes were topped after the pizza came out of the oven... so honestly unfortunately messed up the pizza...half raw scampi and tomatoes on a pizza... A pity!

Were in the restaurant yesterday and wanted to sit down at the table we had reserved the day before, when the waiter told us in an unfriendly tone that we couldn't understand that the table I had reserved was no longer available because a larger group was expected and referred us a table near the door which is open practically all the time and it is very drafty in this area. To better understand: It was around 13 degrees outside, it was very windy and it was raining. At that moment we felt like we were treated like second class guests. After I brought this up on the spot, we left the restaurant. Although we have visited this restaurant very regularly and have always been very satisfied, this time we were very disappointed because of the way we were treated as regular guests. Dear IL Giardino team: That was bottom drawer and you didn't actually need it.

Here you realize that the guest is king and we try to fulfill every wish. The food is always delicious, comes to the table so fresh and hot that you'll burn your tongue if you're not careful. ;-) The team is very attentive and helpful, even at peak times they are busy but never unfriendly. Very fresh ingredients that make every dish an experience.
