A wonderful ambience, perfect service - and wonderful food. We celebrated a birthday and got an extra nice table :-) Chef Marko seems to have chosen his team very well, we were completely satisfied and can highly recommend OSKAR.

Since I drive and pick up many of my regular guests at the Oskar and only hear excellent, top-class feedback, I have to give the Oskar 5 stars. I hope I'll find time to enjoy it soon

Essen absolut durchschnittlich und ohne Raffinesse. Preise unverschämt für die gebotenen Gerichte. Kurzum: Ein Mal und nie wieder!

Very nice atmosphere and courteous staff, the boss is also very warm and friendly. Food was excellent, we shared many starters, each one was really very good. The main course left nothing to be desired. Everything was very excellent, we will definitely come back.

Delicious, cozy, friendly. Not exactly cheap, but the quality is good and the service is very friendly.

Very nice restaurant with nice outdoor seating

Oskar is close to my place and I had 3x dinner there. Generally the ambiance and interior design is very nice and cosy. The service is fine, but the quality & price is below expectations. First time, the quality was not good (schnitzel) but ambiance very nice with a beautiful garden Second time the experience was correct and enjoyable and the meat dish fine Third time quality & price were not at expected level. The dish took 1h15 to come after order, the fish was not well prepared. I was also surprised about the price on the menu at 19€ raised to 49€ without prior notice. I was given 2 options, either 550gr or 750g, i chose the 550gr but was not made aware about any price change. (I admit i could have asked because 550 seems quite a bit ;-) but would have been decent also to inform prior notice)

It was Asparagus season and Oscar had a Asparagus menu. In Sweden we eat a lot of green Asparagus, but this time I tried the white. We took in two plates, one with hollandaise and one with melted butter. I was so good so we ordered a third plate, I prefered it with butter. For main course we wanted Schnitzel, but a couple of us has Schnitzel with Asparagus, which wasn't a regular menu item, but luckily Oscar was flexible.

We had a great evening, in a lovely atmosphere with excellent food and very attentive service.

I like to joke that this is our favorite neighborhood restaurant but I feel super lucky to have a restaurant of such good quality so nearby! All the food is really amazing, we were never disappointed. They have a short menu which I love and always have some fresh daily suggestions outside of the standard menu. The atmosphere is really cozy and the service is great!

Yesterday we enjoyed a lovely evening as a foursome. Everyone really enjoyed the food (we had tagliata from pastured oxen, char and ox cheeks). The recommended wine (Timorasso 2019 Derthona) tasted amazing. Thank you very much, we would love to come back

Simply a great restaurant with great service and good food!

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im Oskar. Am Essen gibt es nichts auszusetzen, aber am Service! Dieser wird uns davon abhalten, nochmal zu kommen! Das Restaurant war fast voll, und eine Bedienung war fast allein für alle Tische zuständig. Und leider war er nicht höflich, sondern sehr laut, distanzlos, teilweise frech und zugehört hat er auch nicht. Es kamen falsche Weine erst nach dem Hauptgang, Empfehlungen für Weine waren wiederholt gegen unsere Wünsche. Und dann evtl noch was: evtl waren die Preise dann doch recht hoch: 3 Pers = 300 Euro), für 3 Hauptgänge, 2 Desserts, Wein und Wasser… eine vegetarische Nudel mit Salat für fast 30 Euro… Schade für die Location, schade für den Abend. Haben uns sehr geärgert.

Oscar - why Oscar? Across the street is the Oscar von Miller High School. The challenge lies in the name! I knew the place - as Studiosus - as "Alte Burg". A somewhat deviant Schwabing pub, but with a reputation. Tempora mutantur!! That has all changed significantly. You don't recognize the old "location" again. The new landlord has conjured up a really great ambience from the old walls. You feel comfortable from the first moment. But let's get to the point! Who are we throwing our hard-earned money down? And for what? Now you can sit back and relax. The menu is clear. A good sign for me! That's how it was. The food was of excellent quality and the portions were really sufficient. Beer good, wine good, digestive good and service excellent! I think we'll be back!

Very tasty food! Very friendly and attentive staff. Family atmosphere and beautiful interior. You feel comfortable here. The drinks are also tasty and not exactly weak.

We became aware of the Oskar through the fine dinning box and had a very nice evening there, with good food and very good drinks! I had the first Negroni Sbagliato (if you know you know 😉) it was great! However, why there were pants hanging on the bar remains a mystery 😂

Gehobenes Restaurant mit tollem Aussenbereich und bequemen Sitzplätzen. Waren zu 3.und haben auch ohne Reservierung sofort volle Aufmerksamkeit bekommen. Haben uns im Vorfeld über die Speisekarte im Internet informiert, den Brotzeitteller gab es am 2.9.jedenfalls nicht. Habe einen Salat "oscars fitnesssalat" bestellt, der super toll angerichtet war. Allerdings stand auf der Karte nichts von Wassermelone und der halbe Teller bestand daraus, blöd, wenn man das nicht mag, hätte ich sonst nicht bestellt. Alle anderen Zutaten sehr lecker, bis auf das viele Öl, welches sich am Tellerboden sammelte. Ob ein "Fitnesssalat" mit so viel Öl dem Namen gerecht wird-fraglich. Das Portwein-Risotto war 1. Sahne, unfassbar guter Geschmack, habe in meinem ganzen Leben noch nie sowas gegessen. Sehr sättigend, auch wenn es auf den 1. Blick etwas unappetitlich aussieht und an Porrige erinnert. Dessert liebevoll angerichtet, hier isst das Auge mit. Preis/Leistung bei allen Gerichten i.O. Kellner zuvorkommend und versuchte, extra Wünsche wahrzumachen, auch wenn das am Ende nicht geklappt hat.

This cozy restaurant with outdoor garden left the best impression. Exceptional service, delicious dishes with beautiful presentation, top notch cocktails and wonderful desserts! I especially loved the port wine risotto, burrata, and lemon ginger cheesecake. My cocktail of choice was the Negroni Sbagliato, perfection! I recommend to everyone. The experience made me want to come back again and again.

If I am present in this area/or in Munich 😅 no excuses That’s how good it is 😂😂 .. slightly dependent I have been a owner in this gorgeous ground floor space turned restaurant .. My Investment before had the dream of “Oskar” today -The “cheers” of nyc “the bar where everybody knows your name” This quiet, romantic & can’t be made beergarden is beyond amazing for the location … it’s charming next to center Schwabing/ Leopoldstr. 🚗 🚙 🚗🚙🚗🚙🚗🚙🚙🚗🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙 It’s a big and very cozy beergarden I wish they would do this Year a winter market❄️ with 🥘 & 🍹 🥤 It would be perfect 🤩 The restaurant offers very delicious dishes for very good price You will pay so much more for this quality somewhere else I assure you. The service is so so so diverse. All of them are amazing in their way Since ever. Sehr gutes Essen und guter Wein. Nette Bedingung. Die Terrasse ist super zum sitzen mit sehr schöner entspannten Beleuchtung. Aber auch drinnen kann man sehr schön sitzen. Ich komme immer wieder gerne her 😊. 100% Empfehlung.

Dort verbringt man gerne viele schöne Stunden, bei hervorragendem Essen in schönem Ambiente mit einem super Service und stets gut gelauntem Personal! 😊

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend im stimmungsvollen Biergarten, bei sehr leckerem Essen und mit sehr nettem, kompetenten Service. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Sehr schöner Biergarten unter Kastanienbäumen. Das Portwein-Risotto mit Blue Stilton Käse, Pekanuss und Zucchini: genial! Die Lammnüsschen sehr lecker. Service aufmerksam, freundlich und gut organisiert. Für die gebotene Leistung preiswert und absolut empfehlenswert! Wir haben schon lange nicht mehr so gut und besonders gegessen!

Tolles Restaurant mit toller Küche und top Personal. Man fühlt sich rundum versorgt. Tolle Auswahl an Weinen und ausgefallene Aperitivi. Waren sicher nicht das letzte Mal hier.

Sehr schönes Restaurant in Schwabing mit einer sympathisch überschaubarer Essensauswahl, super Weinkarte, sehr gemütlichem Wirtsgarten und top Service!

Einfach großartig. Ich bin oft und sehr gerne im Oskar. Ohne Übertreibung, eines der besten Restaurants in und um München, wenn man sehr gutes Essen, tolles Ambiente und exzellenten Service sucht

Als Schnitzelliebhaber hat uns hier das Wiener Schnitzel für fast 30€ (!) besonders interssiert. Gereicht wurden zwei eher kleinere Stücke Fleisch, die zwar ok, aber auch nicht außergewöhnlich geschmeckt haben. Der dazugereichte Kartoffelsalat (in einem Gläschen von knappen 4cm) war nicht gut durchgekocht, einige Kartoffelscheiben fast roh. Die Preiselbeeren für unseren Geschmack zu knackig und sauer. Wir sind von dem Gericht leider weder satt noch glücklich geworden. Für ein gutes Schnitzel, das satt macht, vielleicht dann doch lieber woanders.

Das Essen ist super. Vor allem das Wiener Schnitzel ist mehr als empfehlenswert. 5 Sterne
