Omonia Treff in Berlin

Was there today for the first time and definitely not the last! The food was excellent and the service was super friendly and personable! We really felt very comfortable and went home satisfied and full. When I'm back in Berlin, I'll definitely come back. Happy New Year to the whole team!

Delicious food, large portions, a salad and bread as a starter, extras from the house and friendly service. Recommended!

Service was very nice and courteous and the atmosphere is quite pleasant. The food, on the other hand, was rather mediocre. The bean soup and onion soup were good, while the main courses (pike perch fillet with cheese as well as croquettes and dolmadakia with feta) were semi-good. There was too much cream/cream sauce in both of them, which didn't really taste high quality and the fish wasn't anything particularly special in terms of taste or quality. There are definitely better Greeks in Berlin.

Yes and no, at least not on Valentine's Day. Service is very poorly organized and lacks care. If you have to wait more than 90 minutes for your food, at least don't forget the side salad or ask for drinks again. In addition, it was completely overcrowded and other guests left angrily and without food after a long wait.

We were here for my son's birthday on January 14, 2025. Formerly an excellent Greek restaurant. New hospitality and just horrible. Menu with hundreds of dishes, my food was just edible, the others (we were there with 5 people) were ok. Tzatziki tasted like a Metro bucket, definitely not homemade. The waitress bumped into me twice, no idea about service. My daughter tipped over the glass, 2 young "waiters" saw it and took no notice. We had to ask for a cloth. It's a shame, the whole thing has nothing to do with Greek cuisine anymore. Rach would flee in grief.

Wir waren Wochentags um 16:30 da und haben das Essen, was super lecker und viel war,zügig bekommen und die Bedienung war super lieb und höflich. Werden gerne wieder kommen.

We agreed to meet here for dinner. The two young men in service are very polite, but very slow and “blind” when it comes to service. Dishes and glasses sat on the table for ages. The food didn't really appeal to us either. The pasta salsa was rather sweet, the gyros too rose... The lady of the house knows her job and was very attentive. Our birthday child even received a little surprise present. The ambience in gold was very nice.

The service is first class, but unfortunately the food is not for the price. Gyros classic with fries, everything was cold and the fries weren't salted. We won't eat there anymore. For the prices you would expect a lot more. The atmosphere doesn't suit a Greek at all.

The most important thing in a restaurant is the food and that was really great. There are deductions for the service. The food was not served to everyone at the same time, there were over 40 minutes between the starter and the main course, everything was chaotic and unprofessional. In addition, the toilet is insurmountable for people with physical limitations.

Delicious Greek food in a very wide variety, unfortunately it is becoming more and more expensive, a simple gyro plate over 20 euros is a bit crazy.

The restaurant is nicely furnished, but the prices are very overpriced - a Kudamm restaurant is even cheaper, I haven't been there for 4 years. I used to like it often and often, today again but there were three of us today because the only guests had to go almost 10 minutes Drinks wait, after ordering starters there was bread baked from the day before, totally dry and hard, main courses almost cold...but delicious, we had to ask the waiter to clear away old dishes so that we had space, he was Nice but not attentive enough. What's the point of Golden Chairs if the prices and service don't justify it

The food here is perfect! You can tell and taste that there is still a Greek chef in the kitchen! The prices here have increased quite a bit, but I'm happy to pay for the quality!

I can't understand all these positive reports, the service was ok, they made an effort. The ambience isn't my taste, but they made an effort here too. Now the most important thing is the food, it was inedible, we had a mixed meat platter. The meat was so dry and didn't taste good. The meat skewers tasted like coal, it was well camouflaged by, in my opinion, removing the burnt parts, with the bifteki they didn't even bother and served them with a completely burnt side and for really quite a bit of money considering the prices are really high. The toilet anteroom was completely full of rubbish and the music in the restaurant was far too loud and there was no comfort. It was the first and last time.

Unfortunately I cannot agree with the many positive reviews. We had gyros, souvlaki and chicken fillet and a starter platter beforehand. The meat was tough and dry, so I ordered herb butter - unfortunately it didn't help. I didn't eat any of the gyros. The fries were limp. The ingredients were of the lowest quality, as we could tell from the canned olives and the bright red tomatoes. At the end the eager waiter asked if we would like to take the food away. It was so unappetizing that we politely declined. There were two espressos and yoghurt on the house, but that didn't convince us either. All in all: food and drinks are very overpriced for the quality of the food. But great atmosphere!

We were here on a Friday evening. The service is super friendly and very attentive. We had the Omonia grill plate with two people and it was super tasty. The liver is highly recommended: a poem! Super tender and the gyros are very tasty. We had garlic bread beforehand and that also convinced us. The portions are more than you can manage. If we are in Berlin again we will definitely come back.

"Great Greek" with friendly, attentive staff, delicious food in a cozy, stylish atmosphere. At the “start” there was the typical Greek. Schnapps, at the end again and a small bowl of yoghurt/honey. Prices have now risen slightly. Parking spaces in the surrounding streets, some with parking space management during the day. There is a connection to public transport by bus. In summer there is a large outdoor seating area.

I come quite often, I prefer it to most restaurants, good prices, good food, good service…

Food was burnt. It was well disguised. I received a new one. Map far too extensive to be fresh. No fresh air in the restaurant. Strange food combinations. Prices too high.

Unfortunately, after Corona and the complete renovation, it became sinfully expensive. Who needs golden chairs? You should definitely be careful who gets the tip. In Greece you simply leave tips for the waiters on the table... Summa sumarum: still my favorite Greek despite some serious drawbacks... Yamaz! If you don't feel like paying so much money for food, we recommend the Argentinian "Plancha II". There is also a lot of meat there 😜 and the prices are very moderate. Be sure to reserve in the evening!!!

We enjoyed a delicious dinner here of Bifteki and Gyros before going to a concert in the Zitadelle. Just a 20-minute walk, which was very needed after a filling meal!

There were two of us and we ate the squid rings and gyros. Both very tasty. The rings were tender and not overloaded with breading. The gyro was very crispy and tasted pleasantly spicy. There were a few touches from the kitchen that didn't cost anything. We thought that was really good. The waitress was very attentive, but had a lot to do on her own, which made everything take a little longer. But you also have to be able to wait. It's worth it for the food. Eating out is getting more and more expensive, so let's enjoy it... We will be back definitely

We finally decided to come here. We constantly pass it but never make it. We were warmly welcomed without a reservation and immediately received an ouzo as a welcome. The waiters were both very friendly. We had the chicken with Metaxa sauce and lamb fillet with rice noodles baked in tomato sauce and sheep's cheese, both of which were very tasty. At the end we had a traditional Greek yogurt with a little honey for dessert. In terms of price it's a bit more expensive but with everything around it, it's absolutely fine.

TV was running way too loud, you couldn't have a conversation in peace, the waiter was alone and not attentive. The food was okay, but a noted change in the dish wasn't implemented and when we pointed it out when clearing the plates, we were just told that we must be wrong and that the chef certainly did it right... sorry, but his Portraying guests as liars and not having the decency to apologize. Maybe we were just unlucky with the basement. There are hardly any parking spaces. The toilets are in the basement and are not accessible to wheelchair users. We probably won't come here again.

This was our third time there. The food is good, portions are sufficient, but really very expensive! On our last visit we sat at a free table. A 17-year-old came to us and said the table was reserved. I asked when and got the answer "6 p.m.". At this point it was 2:30 p.m.! I said we probably wouldn't be staying that long and he asked "how long do you want to stay?" I found that pretty outrageous! We stayed sitting there. As a punishment, the table next door was set so loudly that we were no longer able to have a conversation! It was DEFINITELY our last visit. There are better and, above all, friendlier restaurants! There's just no need for that these days.

Incredibly great service, very attentive and courteous but not intrusive. The food was super tasty, fresh, delicately seasoned, incredibly tender meat and with a short waiting time. First there was salad with warm bread and schnapps. For dessert you even get a small dessert and an espresso on the house. We haven't eaten so well in a long time and been looked after so well. The menu is well sorted and there is something for every taste. The restaurant itself is also very nicely decorated with a large outdoor area. If we lived in Berlin, we would eat here regularly. Simply great!!!

Simply great. As tourists, we simply went to the nearest local place. An absolute hit! The service is incredibly warm and hospitable, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is great!

Unfreundliches Personal, lange Wartezeit. Das Essen war viel TK-Ware lieblos angerichtet und sehr geschmacklos. Das Fleisch sollte man besser würdigen, es war doch schon Tod. Es war knochen trocken und verkohlt. Zwei Teller gingen zurück, welche dann nachher auf der Rechnung standen. Auch reagierte das Personal frech und uneinsichtig. Lange Diskussionen, bis eine neue Rechnung kam. Die Toiletten stinken nach Urin und sind für Fußkranke oder ältere kaum zu erreichen, da diese im Rumpelkeller über eine schmale Wendeltreppe zu erreichen sind.

Greek restaurant in Spandau. Nice service and excellent service speak for this restaurant. We ate our food on the long terrace directly in front of the restaurant windows. The interior also appears to be very high quality and stylish. Everything is decorated with attention to detail. The food 🥘 was delicious and came fresh to the table. It took about 20 minutes between ordering and delivery of the food, which was shortened by serving a small starter salad. As a “start” and also as a “finale” there was of course the usual ouzo 😋 to drink in Greek restaurants. At the end there was also a small dessert for free. Overall, we had a very good time here and will definitely stop by again when the opportunity arises. 👍

After picking up the food for home yesterday and having eaten there several times, now is the time to write a review to express our enthusiasm: The food is delicious. The cooks know their craft and have the menu perfectly under control. The quality of the dishes is 1a: among other things: the gyros are meaty and crispy, the vegetables are on point, the sauces are delicately seasoned and the French fries are crispy. If you don't try the excellent creamy tzatziki, you're missing out. The reception and service are very courteous and attentive. You can simply feel at home in the opulent and lovingly furnished guest room. The restaurant is recommended for anyone who likes Greek food. There is also a summer terrace.

We ordered a table for 6 people on International Women's Day. We last went there about 3 years ago because the quality declined significantly back then. Now we started a new attempt because of the good recessions here. Table was clean and the new seats were very comfortable. The restaurant was full but unfortunately there were only 3 waiters. After ordering the drinks, beer and shandy were mixed up, which fortunately as old friends we were able to sort it out by tasting it ourselves. Now about the food. My dish of gyros with skewers was OK. But my wife had gristle in her gyros... Unacceptable given the prices. For two of my acquaintances, the minced meat was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside... an absurdity and sometimes even harmful to their health. A friend of ours wanted moussaka. Unfortunately not there. Incomprehensible given the abundance. It's probably more likely to drive with leftovers without any risk. After the meal, drink orders were sometimes forgotten or served incorrectly. But a restaurant earns more from drinks than from food... And the boss doesn't even serve with this multitude of guests... So we won't go there anymore... And back then it was such a great shop with a funny waiter that we remember and a great Greek evening... A pity

Went there as a group for our birthday and we all really enjoyed it! I had a large table reserved especially in the morning and everything went well when we arrived. The menu is relatively large and it takes a while to find a dish for you, unless you know straight away what you want to eat at a Greek restaurant. The food was very tasty!! Service was also very nice and took good care of the table! The food is a little expensive, but for the taste it's completely forgettable! We recommend it and will definitely come again!!

We weren't so impressed this time! It was just too crowded! The tables were too close together and you could hear the conversations of the people sitting next to you! The young waitress poured all the beer down my pants!! The food became very, very expensive, we were shocked 😨 As a guest, I had to ask for accommodation when paying because the waitress had poured the beer down my pants. Normally they would have had to waive the entire bill for two people because I was sitting there the whole time with my pants soaking wet! It's a real shame, all in all.

You don't even know where to start, the atmosphere and service are friendly, the food was also ok but the service is completely overwhelmed. Nobody knows what the other colleague is doing. Somehow everyone has to serve the same table, so everything gets mixed up. Waited over 40 minutes for the first drink to arrive, after just under 2 hours the food arrived. When problems arose they always said I had to get the boss and they were just problems. The aisles are much too narrow. If someone wanted to go through, they would come to the table. And I could list other aspects, but I'll just come to the price, which is unacceptable and outrageous for what I received in the evening.

The appetizer platter was again excellent! However, the quality of the main courses has decreased - but the price has continued to rise. I find it difficult to pay €24.50 for a bifteki that tastes more like bread than meat. And I understand that it's busy on Valentine's Day - but the quality should still be there. As always, the staff was very friendly, despite the high workload. Sometimes less is more...

The first and last time there! The boss has to take care of everything and is arranged, but the rest of the service is a disaster. We waited 30 minutes for our drink, then another hour for our food and then the wrong one came. The waitress brought us our salad and said the tzatziki would come soon, it only came after we asked 3 times and then on the bill for 7 euros, although it wasn't ordered... the food was okay, but at this outrageous price. Our 2nd drink then never arrived and we decided to leave. Only for someone who has a LOT of time and patience and, above all, is not claustrophobic at the narrow tables. A pity

When looking for a restaurant for the evening, a candidate was quickly found based on the reviews. The restaurant looks nice and homely from the inside, there weren't that many guests there and we never had to wait long, the staff were always polite and courteous. The food was delicious and the portions were filling. As a starter there was bread without anything, we simply used it with the leftover sauces. The Ouzo theme: A small welcome ouzo in a pint, one during the meal in a glass with ice (which friendliness and a few aborted attempts to speak Greek can achieve ;) ) and one at the end were there and really nice. When asked about the final ouzo, the dessert was somehow mumbled in between, which wasn't a bad thing, but that's part of it. The only really negative point: As soon as we entered the restaurant, we noticed a very loud guest who had headphones in his ears and was alternately recording voice messages, talking on the phone, or watching loud videos. He burped several times for everyone to hear and always switched between Greek and apparently Turkish slang (vallah, brudi, swear) when communicating. What doesn't exist. The man seemed to be well acquainted with the operators, which is why I mention him... Unpleasant behavior while eating. If I were to visit Spandau again, I would put the restaurant at the top of a list of possible visits. Gladly again

Edit: versucht Ehrliche Bewertungen wie diese hier durch google löschen zu lassen. das sagt denke ich auch genug aus.... Die Preise sind merkwürdig sehr hoch gewählt und spiegeln sich weder in der Qualität noch in der Menge wieder (noch eine Kleinigkeit, trotz der höchsten Preise die ich kenne für einen Griechen gab es die "guten" billigsten Servietten). Unsere beide Gerichte waren angebrannt, das Hühnchen trocken. Die Auflauf Soße war aber lecker. Das Essen kam vor den Getränken, beides mit langer Wartezeit trotz nur ca. 6 besetzter Tische. Als wir nach der Rechnung fragten und nach 15 Minuten immer noch nichts kam, sind wir reingegangen und dort stand er scheinbar schon eine weile mit der Rechnung und dem (leckeren) Abschluss Ouzo am quatschen..

Aktualisierung: Es wird versucht, diese und auch alle anderen schlechten Bewertungen von Google löschen zu lassen, indem man behauptet, wir wären dort nie Gäste gewesen. Mehr muss man zu diesem Restaurant auch eigentlich nicht mehr sagen. Kinderunfreundlich und verständnislos! Wir waren sehr oft schon dort und es ging immer alles schnell und war lecker. Aber als wir das letzte Mal dort waren, hatten wir das erste Mal unser Baby dabei. Als wir mit dem Kinderwagen reingekommen sind, hat man uns schon genervt angeschaut. Man hat uns erklärt, dass kein Platz für den Kinderwagen sei. Wir sollten den Kinderwagen am Eingang in eine Ecke stellen und unser Baby (6 Wochen alt und schlafend) für den gesamten Abend auf den Arm nehmen. Nach längerem Diskutieren wurde dann doch für unseren Wagen Platz gemacht. Allerdings direkt am Eingang, sodass bei jedem Öffnen der Tür der eiskalte Wind von draußen in den Kinderwagen zog (es hatte mehrere Minusgrade). Wir mussten dann ganze 2 Stunden auf unser Essen warten und das kam dann auch noch kalt. Nicht einmal lauwarm, sondern kalt. Gäste, die nach uns kamen, hatten vor uns ihr Essen. Ich bereue es immernoch, dass ich nach dem Vorfall mit dem Kinderwagen nicht einfach wieder gegangen bin. Nicht zu empfehlen!

Nicht zu empfehlen, ich war mit meiner Freundin dort und wir mussten über eine Stunde auf unser Essen warten, scheinbar wurden wir vergessen. Immerhin gab es als Entschädigung Ouso und Joghurt. Trotzdem, auch die Menge und der Geschmack des Essens sind eher Durchschnitt.

Sehr leckeres Essen, große Portionen. Die Kellner sind schnell und sehr freundlich. Es gibt leckeren Nachtisch und Ouzo (sogar mehrere) aufs Haus.

ACHTUNG: Servicegebühr (Trinkgeld) bereits im Preis enthalten! Die Preise sind, selbst für griechische Verhältnisse, sehr hoch. Auf einer Seite im Menü steht, dass das Entgelt für den Service im Preis enthalten ist. Dennoch wird beim bezahlen indirekt nach Trinkgeld gefragt. Service sehr überlastet. 1 Kellner der alle Tische alleine bedient. Auf das Essen 1 Stunde gewartet, keine Entschädigung erhalten, trotz Nachfrage, wie lange es noch dauert, bis das Essen gebracht wird. Essen schmeckt gut, jedoch für den Preis nicht gut genug. Kommen nicht nochmal.

Wir waren für ein Geburtstagsessen in diesem Restaurant. Tolle Atmosphäre, ausgezeichneter Service! Und natürlich leckeres Essen. Auch etwas für Vegetarier auf der Speisekarte. Wir waren satt und ausgesprochen glücklich. Lieben Dank an das Team vor Ort.

Zunächst wunderten wir uns über die stolzen Preise, die unsere Erwartungen sehr hoch schraubten. Diese wurden jedoch enttäuscht, denn das Essen war gut, aber eben auch nicht außergewöhnlich. Hinzu kamen lange Wartezeiten, sowohl auf die Speisen, als auch auf den Bezahlvorgang mit der Karte, und das bei einem halb leeren Lokal. Die Bedienung war deshalb sehr freundlich und um uns bemüht, wir bekamen Ouzo, wie auch Espresso und Nachtisch auf Kosten des Hauses. Das war eine nette Geste. Trotzdem waren wir insgesamt enttäuscht.

Das Essen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Auch das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Die Preise sind in der oberen Klasse. Trotzdem kann ich dieses Restaurant empfehlen.
