Ja! Niko Ja! in Berlin

This was the most delicious Greek appetizer platter I had ever tasted. The garlic bread that came with it was rich and spicy. Gyros, souflaki, suzuki and liver from the grill patte were perfectly grilled and delicately seasoned. Mythos beer has an excellent taste and is very refreshing. It goes perfectly with Greek food. There were two ouzo from the house. The staff is extremely polite and very friendly. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. Traditional Greek music is played discreetly in the background. A clear recommendation for this restaurant.

Well, I never ate there. But I remember walking past there on the way to 808 on a Saturday night 2 years ago. Although the owners didn't know any of us and we hadn't ordered anything, they stopped us on the side of the road in front of their shop, let us wait for a moment after a conversation and brought us a whole tray full of ouzo shots on the house from inside. There were so many that the 5 of us couldn't finish the tray (3 women 2 men*). You gave us young students such joy back then, and I haven't forgotten it to this day. If I'm in Berlin again, I'll definitely come by. :)

Cozy atmosphere, friendly service. We ate very tasty gyros dishes with lots of tzaziki & pita. The portions are large. Mousaka was slightly less so.

Nice restaurant with friendly service opposite the InterContinental. The food itself is okay, but unfortunately not a revelation. Taramas OK, a little too salty. Gyros with calamari with rice: The gyros could be spicier and crispier, the calamari was really good, but the rice was unfortunately rather boring. The ouzo was on the house. Overall OK. Service friendly throughout. Price level raised.

Authentic Greek cuisine, large portions, well-cooked meat, clean without too many spices, lamb, pork and chicken, in interesting proposals without excessive experimentation, dishes that highlight the raw material and do not obscure the flavors. The staff are Greek and the care... ala Greek. With so much "plastic" that one now eats in restaurants and taverns in Greece... this Greek restaurant in Berlin was really a pleasant surprise. We came here every evening during our stay in Berlin. Absolutely gorgeous squids, lamb and soups. Service is above and beyond every expectation. A LOT of ouzo. Waiters Leo and Zavar made our evenings entertaining, and manager Kostas is just the best. Definitely recommend to anyone staying not far from the Zoo.

¡Elegí a Ja! NIKO Ja! Basado en comentarios y ubicación. No me decepcionó en absoluto. Amplio menú que incluye muchas opciones de verduras. Sentado dentro debido a un poco de viento para estar fuera. El personal muy amable, tenía varios servidores para la duración de mi comida. Para empezar, pedí una cerveza Mythos y también me dieron una inyección de ouzo en la casa. Siguió Tzatziki con pita tibia... encantadora. La ensalada de acompañamiento salió antes de la entrada de Moussaka. No parecía mucho, pero solo podía comer la mitad, estaba lleno. La comida era excelente, el servicio atento pero no dominante. Comida y 3 cervezas cuestan unos 35 €. Me llevé mi última cerveza afuera a beber mientras comenzaba a estar ocupada adentro para la cena.

The food was delicious and afterwards you didn't have the typical feeling of fullness that you usually get after Greek food. Everything was fresh and very tasty. The service was top and very friendly. Price-performance is excellent. My starters, fried pepperoni and garlic bread are particularly recommended for garlic lovers. I'd love to come back! En 2 días vinimos 4 veces y disfrutamos plenamente de la comida sabrosa y su genuina amabilidad! Unfortunately there is not a single decent restaurant nearby. Since I'm a patient at the Franziskus Hospital next door, I thought I could eat something better than the hospital food. Unfortunately that was a mistake. Absolutely poor appetizer platter with bad taramas and hummus. Sad and really expensive. Even a glass of ouzo that you get without asking is of no use. Please avoid. It's expensive too.

Thank you so much for bringing a piece of warm and beloved Greece to the heart of Berlin! The food was fantastic, and the waiters were very kind and polite (especially the young man named Zawar). I also want to mention the restrooms separately: they were very clean and smelled nice. In the women’s restroom, there were different types of pads, tampons, four kinds of perfume, deodorant, and other little things that showed great care for visitors. I don’t often see this in Berlin, so I couldn’t resist leaving a good review. Thank you again, I will definitely come back!

Unfortunately, when we were there we had to wait a long time for drinks, food and later also for the bill. We didn't like the food that much. The Panzaria in particular was not what we are used to from other Greek restaurants. Here the beetroot slices probably came from a jar and were not marinated in garlic oil, but rather drizzled with a white, over-seasoned garlic sauce. The atmosphere can be compared to a canteen. The large room seems cold and uncomfortable and when there are a lot of people it is loud and echoey. Personally, I didn't like it.

We just had the most wonderful 2 evenings at this restaurant with lovely food but more than anything my family of daughter partner and grandson really appreciated the most wonderful caring service from Costa snd nico. Two lovely people who made us feel so welcome and we can't thank them enough .

We ordered stuffed mushrooms, canned sliced ​​mushrooms with a handful of cheese thrown on top, there was no bread. Complained. Then we looked at the menu and ordered baked eggplant, what came was zucchini. Again, of course, without bread, with a dollop of wholesale zatziki. None of the waiters speak German, no one feels responsible. The place is full of tourists from the hotel complexes across the street, everything is geared towards quick feeding.

I stopped by this place because I was tired from sleeping on time for the bus.. It may vary depending on the food, but the menu I ordered didn't seem to suit me... So for me it is the best Greek there is. The food is top👍🏻 we had baked feta with a delicious bread as a starter and No.72 as the main course. Classic gyros with extra garlic and rice. There was also the feta salad. Everything was really, really good. Nothing was over-seasoned. The service was really great. Everyone was quick to follow up and extremely friendly. Next time we're in Berlin we'll be going back there. Go there, it's worth it

We had our Christmas dinner there today with almost 30 people. Zero Greek atmosphere in the restaurant. The food came quickly, but everything tasted bland and bland. Drink prices are steep. With such a large group you would have expected that there would be at least one ouzo on the house. A pure tourist trap. So after eating everyone left straight away. It was a tip from a colleague, but apparently the owner has since changed. There are better restaurants there. Better not. Too bad

We spent three evenings here out of four in Berlin. The food is very good and large portions, after one dish you feel full, fresh and delicious, we wanted to try more but our stomachs wouldn't allow it ;) and the ouzo served by the waiter, although good for digestion, did not help ;) The staff was fantastic, they managed even when the restaurant was full, which made us he feels taken care of. Beautiful atmosphere- surrounded by threes on a big but quiet part of town. Horrible service. Waitress refused to speak to me and only wanted to speak to my partner as I don’t speak any German and he knows a bit. She said ‘English? No!’ We waited over an hour for our food. Waitress and other staff came around a few times but didn’t seem to care enough to realise our food wasn’t there… over an hour later, we lost patience and asked what happened. They actually didn’t register the order at all. We were til that sometimes it happens. Another 15 minutes later they brought the food out. They gave us a glass of beer each but no proper apology. Bland food. For dishes that costs more than 30 euros each, they shouldn’t use frozen seafood. Maybe for half the price… or less….. Would not recommend it. Expensive and really not worth the time or money. Was surprised they charged full price after all the messing around.

There were three of us there last night. After much consideration, we decided to give the restaurant a chance. When we arrived on site, disillusionment quickly set in. The service was subpar, on the one hand we had to ask after over half an hour whether we could order anything at all, and on the other hand the waiter was unfriendly. We weren't paid much attention. The food came relatively quickly. It was very carelessly arranged. The side salad was a bag salad consisting of some green lettuce and grated carrot. The rice was extremely dry, the meat was tough and the gyros was not recommended at all. The pieces are way too thick, not tasty and full of fatty meat. Absolutely not edible. We had to wait so long for a high chair that we were almost finished eating. At least what was somewhat edible. While we were paying the bill we talked about what was absolutely not right. We were offered an espresso as an apology and told us that we weren't happy with the food today. Absolutely no go. To make matters worse, 2 of us got stomach aches from eating tonight. We absolutely cannot recommend the restaurant, the food is bad and the service is a disaster. We advise everyone to find another Greek nearby.

Even though it's in front of the InterContinental Hotel, it's great to stop by late at night. The staff are friendly and the food is delicious. You can eat to your fill at a reasonable price compared to German prices, and the fried lamb and baby calamari are especially delicious.

My husband and I were in Berlin from Thursday to Sunday and on the day we arrived in the afternoon we looked around for good places to eat. My husband then found Ja Niko Ja and we went there for the first time on Friday. We were warmly welcomed at the door with a smile and taken straight to a table. We immediately got the memory card and immediately found what we wanted to eat and ordered. We didn't have to wait long for our food or drinks, the staff was very friendly and super nice and also in a good mood. On Saturday we went to dinner there again and were greeted very nicely and warmly. At first we couldn't go into the restaurant because there was a school enrollment party there, so we sat outside. Ordered our food and drinks. We didn't have to wait long until our food came, unfortunately we were repeatedly interrupted by wasps while we were eating because they were getting worse. My husband asked if we weren't allowed in because I have an allergic reaction when I get stung. That wasn't a problem, the nice staff helped us bring everything in, which we found very good, we will definitely eat there again on our next vacation in Berlin. Kind regards from Bremen

The ambience is quite pleasant and cozy. However, I cannot recommend eating the fish there. It tastes almost like nothing, and if you do taste something, it's the half-burnt salmon. The waiters are friendly, but... I accidentally had salad thrown at me, and unfortunately their knowledge of German wasn't the best, which is why 1 out of 4 meals was wrong.
