Ja! Niko Ja! in Berlin

Showed the server a picture of what I wanted (from a Google review) and I ordered what he said. Not the same thing. He also asked me if I wanted pita… which was already included in the plate I ordered. Thankfully food was good. I also appreciated the blanket for those outside.

I can recommend it. The only minor drawback regarding the ambiance is that it's quite loud inside. But the food, the service, the speed, and the friendliness are top-notch!

Authentic Greek, everything was fine!!

Disappointed Visit After Two Years I used to visit this restaurant regularly during my stay at the Hotel Intercontinental Berlin and always had a pleasant experience. However, my recent visit after two years was deeply disappointing. Despite the restaurant being over 60% empty, the time was around 06.15 PM a young and seemingly new male waiter rudely denied me a seat. His unprofessional behavior and dismissive attitude made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and unfortunately, the interaction came across as subtly discriminatory. It’s disheartening to see such a drop in service standards. I won’t be returning, and I hope the management takes steps to train their staff in professionalism and basic hospitality. The restaurant gave me a very negative overall vibe.

Amazing variety, which the menu explained also in English for this tourist: not only large variety of traditional Greek foods, but also variations of them, plus also more generic plates. People around me are coming for a full meal, or only a snack, or just beer and to talk.

Good food! I wish there were more vegetarian options than just 4 recipes in the end. I took the chicken dish and it was good!.

While on vacation from Canada, the hotel recommended the restaurant as a popular place to go. The location was easy to get to from the Sheraton Hotel, perhaps a 10 minute walk. We were greeted as we approached the front door with a smile and quickly guided to a lovely table on the patio. ( Note - this is a popular place, if you are going on a Friday or Saturday a reservation would be a good idea.) The menu is Large, not only Greece dishes, but also German, pizza, pastas, and much more. We had #90 with the garlic pita bread and it was DELICIOUS! The garlic sauce served with #90 is very strong, go easy. The server dropped off a starter of ouzo - on the house. :-) The service was excellent. Quick to take our order and then very relaxed. We have no room for dessert but the ones we saw looked yummy. Priced well, excellent food, and friendly service. It was a lovely time ( in fact, we went again 2 nights later and it was just as good as the first time!)

Best Greek restaurant in Berlin 😋

The gyro and meat here are by far the best I’ve ever tried in the city – and I’m saying this as a Greek, with the true Greek taste for it! The staff was extremely kind and warm, and I wholeheartedly recommend this place to both locals in Berlin and tourists alike.

The restaurant is located on a road, but this isn't a problem. The staff is exceptionally polite and attentive. The food arrived quickly and was truly delicious. The grilled peppers were perfectly cooked, and the garlic oil complemented them perfectly. The moussaka was a generous portion and, of course, prepared the traditional way (without béchamel sauce, but with egg custard). Drinks were refilled quickly. All in all, a perfect visit; we'd gladly return.

We chose it spontaneously and made a reservation...the reception was super friendly, the food was simply amazing...the staff were very friendly...the Greek atmosphere is a bit lacking. We'll definitely be back...

We visited Ja! Niko Ja! in Berlin and had two bifteki and a feta pizza. Everything was delicious – the meat was juicy, the pizza crispy with creamy feta. The portions were generous, the prices fair, and the service friendly. The cozy atmosphere made us happy to come back. Four stars.

My favorite restaurant in the world, and I've been to countless hundreds in cities all over the world. The food is so fresh and flavorful, the service is prompt and friendly without ever feeling rushed, and the prices are great considering the quality of the food and the portion sizes. I always leave with a full belly and gleefully intoxicated by the free ouzo shots. I make sure to visit at least once or twice every time I am in Berlin. A+++ highly recommend !

For someone travelling by themselves and speak only English, this place was so friendly. It started with a greeting at the door, helping with menu! The customer service throughout the night was outstanding. The food was cooked to perfection, especially the lamb!

Nice restaurant with friendly staff. The dishes we tried were okay, but nothing particularly special. At lunch, the value for money is only acceptable with the daily special – which we had to specifically request (perhaps they thought we were tourists?), otherwise it's a bit expensive. The service was good, but at lunchtime in an office district, it could be a bit faster.

We had such a wonderful experience at Ja! Niko! Ja! in Berlin! The food was absolutely excellent—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We went there for dinner during the week. The service and the food were absolutely excellent. While we waited for our food, we were served a delicious salad and a glass of ouzo on the house. After a very short wait, the main course arrived. And what can I say? The food was truly delicious, and there's nothing I wouldn't do differently. Next time I'm in Berlin, I'll definitely eat there again.

A seemingly Greek owner with staff from all over the world serves German-Greek classics without the courage to add spice or uniqueness. The gyro in Metaxa sauce tasted roughly as it should. The meat was well cooked. The sauce and cheese lacked flavor. The salad had an uninspired Thousand Island dressing. The wine and ouzo were okay. The prices were within Berlin's range. The ambiance outside was nice, but the inside was boring and cold. The service was attentive and friendly, but never quite up to scratch. Won't be back.

We had a small appetizer plate, which was very generous. The main courses are plentiful. The outdoor seating is very pleasant; it's nice and cozy on a warm summer evening. The service is very friendly, quick, and courteous. We'll be back!

The food was delicious...and I also have to say they weren't at all difficult when I told them I could only eat so little, and they even brought me a plate to go with my husband's shots. The staff were very kind and friendly. I highly recommend sitting on the terrace in the nice weather!

The food was disappointing. The gyro with Metaxa sauce was very greasy, and there was no trace of Metaxa. The fries were also soggy, and the gyro was cut into pieces with too much fat.

This place is great! It's a very friendly and casual atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is tasty and the portions are huge. They gave me a shot of ouzo for free before my meal and another one after dinner. What a nice treat! Besides frommaybe drinking too much, lol -- I had a wonderful mean and would return here, without question. This place is also very affordable, espcially for the neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Simply furnished restaurant, good food selection. Seating was quite close together. Service was prompt, and the food arrived very quickly, although it was only lukewarm. The taste was okay. The place is very noisy, making it unsuitable for a relaxed meal and conversation.

The ambiance was more reminiscent of a noisy cafeteria than a cozy Greek restaurant—there was definitely no relaxed atmosphere. The service was okay, but the appreciation left a lot to be desired: Even a €5 tip was accepted without a simple "thank you." Overall, the restaurant feels more like a typical tourist establishment, lacking any real charm.

It's very loud and echoey. The food wasn't good either—the gyro basically just tasted like tomato sauce. Overall, it has the atmosphere and flavor of a cafeteria.

We were two families who visited the place twice during our stay and both times we had a fantastic time. The service is top notch and the food tastes really good. The waiters are curious and ask about things and they are very open and helpful. Will come back anytime and thanks for the Ouzo. ☺️

I travel a lot for work and never repeat a restaurant. This time I went 3 nights in a row here, that should tell you how much I liked the food but also their friendliness which is very unusual to see at a restaurant in Germany. Not only I ate delicious food but made new friends with the amazing staff.

Very good, attentive service, very plentiful, delicious, typical Greek food. They were also very friendly to children. After a few wasps outside wanted to share our food, the waiter immediately offered us a seat inside and brought everything in quickly. Very clean and comfortable.

Its overrated. We shared many different starters and meals. Starters are ok but mains are tasteless and not in the expected quality level compared to prices.

We were greeted by a very friendly staff, and the food was delicious. We ordered three different Greek gyros for three people and drinks, including Greek beer. Everyone was full, and they offered us Greek ouzo at the beginning and end. We didn't have to pay extra for it, and it was delicious. Of course, it's not the cheapest in Berlin, but it's definitely better to eat a Greek dish than two sausages in the city.

This is a big greek heart in the middle of Berlin. If I could add more stars to my review i would definitely do it 10/10

We were somewhat surprised by the outstanding overall rating of 4.7. The food was just okay, a bit bland, and quite expensive. Plus, we had to wait quite a bit. Hmm.

A bit pricey, though (chicken souvlaki, fries, and a tiny salad: over €20). Drinks were incredibly expensive—a large beer cost almost €6. Service was friendly, but the cashier only wanted money, especially tips. Two ouzos on the house. You sit on the terrace right next to a noisy street, but somehow the atmosphere is still nice.

We visited this Greek restaurant for the first time today. The food (biftiki and mixed grill) was amazing. The friendliness of the service (out of 1 to 6, I personally give it an 8!) and the ambiance were also AMAZING. We highly recommend it and would love to come back when we're back in Berlin. We ordered garlic bread, Moussaka, Pork Skewers, the Athena Pizza, and Spaghetti Bolognese — and every single dish was a hit(esp. the pizza and Moussaka). The seasoning was just right, even for kids. Having traveled to almost every corner of Germany, I can confidently say this was one of the best meals we've had in the country. The service was excellent as well. Our server, Zaval was incredibly thoughtful — when our older child asked to try a different flavor of candy, he brought both flavors and even gave an extra one to our younger child so she wouldn’t feel left out. That kind of attention to detail was truly impressive!

The price was too expensive for such quality.

We were staying at the Intercontinental, so it was very convenient. We ate there 3 times, twice the food was good, and once got a take away and it was inedible. It was full of salt, both the items. Hopefully that was an accident.

We ordered stuffed vine leaves with rice in tomato sauce, fried zucchini with tzatziki and spicy chicken gyros with tzatziki. From everything ordered only the tzatziki was typical Greek and good in taste. The chicken gyros was cold, the tomato sauce of the stuffed vine leaves was pure tomato juice without any spices, the chicken gyros was not spicy but served with Asian spice sauce on side. For the same price you can find much better restaurants in the same area where the food is better prepared and served. The restaurant needs good complete cleaning including the toilets.

Greek food never disappoints, the cherry on the top was the staffs behaviour & the fast service. We also got some salad & ouza shots on the house. Food portion was quite a lot & we couldnt finish everything. Highly recommended.

After one year, I've missed this place so much! It was right across from our hotel, and we'd go there for coffee almost every day of our trip after our day was done. There were two Greek friends there who were so welcoming and kind; they truly added life to the place. I wish them all the best! 🩵🩵

Called in here for a beer. The service was great, staff very friendly. Disappointed that we had already booked a restaurant elsewhere because the food looked really good. Will definitely come here for a meal when we come back to Berlin.

The food was delicious and definitely filling. The restaurant is very clean and modern. The restrooms offer all sorts of "tools" such as deodorant, hair gel, body lotion, foot deodorant, and shoe polish, among others. The surprise platter is for those who are undecided and was also highly recommended.

It was okay. Everything was a bit unloving. The way the order was taken was a bit pushy. We ordered tzatziki as a starter. They asked if we wanted garlic bread or pita with it. We said NO. The answer was that they would add it. It seemed to me that this was included in the price. It was then listed on the bill. The meat itself was nothing special. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The rice was very dry. I'm used to it being with tomato sauce. The bifteki wasn't well seasoned and the cheese wasn't feta, just regular cheese.

We had dinner at this restaurant and we ordered one feta creme dip, grilled lamb chops and baked Zander fillet. The fish was unfortunately fried, and the feta creme had a tangy aftertaste. so I removed one star. But the lamb was super good. They have a terrace seating and the staff was friendly. The service was fast, too. We waited only for five minutes for our meals. They gave ouzos for free.
