Not suitable for important occasions. My employees and I were treated rudely by the manager after I ordered a drink 20 minutes before closing time.

Apart from the warm greeting and seating us at the table nothing was pleasant at our visit. The first order was rushed, I had a feeling we are being served 'in the meantime'. While the table next to us was swarmed by service (i think I counted 8 ppl constantly jumping around the other guests) we were left wondering if our request was even remembered well. We asked for extra bread to finish our meze but nobody brought it to us. We asked for card again to order more drinks or food, but noone showed up with it. Noone checked on us if everything is ok etc. Not what I expect from going out to eat. The poor service quality wouldnt be so evident if I didnt see how much attention is being paid to the table next to us. That's not how I want to feel when I go out to eat.

Loved it! Make reservations & sit outside -- it's a wonderful, fun oasis in a loud & crazy city. Be warned: the grill platters for one (around 24-30 euros) are more than enough for two. Order a couple small plates as appetizers & enjoy the excellent toasted bread. Then with a glass of wine you've got a great evening that feels miles away from normal Berlin. Setting is beautiful, staff is terrific, food is delicious. Zero negatives.

I always judge Greek restaurants by their tzatziki. If it's not good, the rest isn't good either. Well, I ordered tzatziki. And as a tzatziki connoisseur, I can tell you that it was spot on. Really, really tasty. EXACTLY as it should be. And the rest too: The meat is really, really tasty and spot on. Even the original creations, which I haven't heard from other Greek restaurants, were really delicious. I also find the mezzedes concept well-executed and interesting. At first, I thought I'd miss the gyros, but I didn't. The service also deserves special mention. It was top-notch. I felt like someone was always available if I had any requests. Overall, it was just very hospitable. The owner definitely knows what he's doing. :) He also came across as very personable, as I've come to expect from well-run Greek restaurants. I had a very enjoyable, well-rounded evening. Thanks for that :)

The meat was excellent, though someone at my table had some pork on his skewer that was still raw inside. Not pinkish, but uncooked raw. Mine was fine and I appreciate that it is not the usual dried out meat. Same with veggies and sides, fried potatoes and tzatziki is great, but the veggies like zucchini are horrendous, I never had something as mushy as this. The service was lacking, bordering on uncomfortable. They forgot our starter, did not ask if we wanted another drink and took the plates away while I literally still had a spoon in my hand. Nice try at at an upscale Greek restaurant but if you leave out the typical Greek hospitality, it leaves me not wanting to go back. Especially when you spend 45 € per person. That is best invested elsewhere.

Formerly known as Ousies and located near the Bavarian Pact, Taverna Platia is now located on the main road behind the post office. The quality, of course, remains the same—very high. Great, authentic Greek cuisine. Fantastic. 🧿💙

A very nice location with a great terrace. The service was excellent! The staff was very attentive, and you didn't have to wait long for your order. The appetizers were delicious! Unfortunately, the moussaka was a bit bland for me; it lacked flavor and spices like cinnamon or nutmeg.

I've never had such good Greek food in Germany. Everything was delicious. I could have eaten my fill of the potato salad and anchovies as a starter alone. And the service was incredibly attentive, fast, and friendly. Even though it was very busy, there was no stress here. Fantastic!

Apatistis kaal kai axentis! Authentic, friendly, delicious, incredibly good. A "real" Greek restaurant where you'd think you were sitting in a taverna in Ellada, except for the sea. So here goes... I went to a Greek restaurant yesterday 🇬🇷 – and what can I say: I ate like I was competing in the Gourmet Olympics next week 🏅🍽️. First, this wonderfully tender beef fillet 🥩, which practically wanted to come off the knife. Then, a pot roast 🐑 that was so soft that even my fork briefly felt sentimental 😌. The fried mini squid 🐙 – golden brown on the outside, tender on the inside, like a love letter to my taste buds 💌. Plus, a chicken skewer 🍢, cheekily seasoned, and lamb chops with grill marks straight out of a picture book 🍖📸. And yes, here comes the best part: calamari! These little rings of joy 🦑 – golden, crispy, and so charming I almost wanted to call them by their first names 😂. I honestly think I didn't just eat yesterday – I celebrated a Mediterranean protein ceremony 🛐🍷. My stomach applauded 👏, and my reflection asked me this morning if I'm secretly bodybuilding 🪞💪. And me? I just smiled charmingly – and said: 'No, honey – just went to the Greek restaurant.' 😉💁‍♀️

We went to Taverna Platia on a Friday evening – for dinner and a bit of fun. We ordered the meze platter "Platia for Two" with padiakia (lamb chops). The meze was really delicious, but the lamb could have been a bit better for the price. I can especially recommend the Peach Beach drink – not exactly cheap, but delicious. Around 10-11 p.m., the music started, the atmosphere became lively, and the staff brought napkins to throw – a small but pleasant part of the evening that put us in a good mood. We arrived by car and spent quite a while looking for a parking space – so it's best to allow some extra time. I can definitely recommend Taverna Platia for a nice and entertaining evening!

Very delicious food and a lovely restaurant. I've only been here during the week so far, and it's always been good! I think it's much more crowded and hectic on weekends.

Reservations are required for the evening. Modern Greek restaurant with an upscale ambiance and clientele. In the evenings, the interior can be very noisy; music is played. Private parking spaces can be reserved.

Rude staff, okay/good food. Outdoor setting is okay however you get warned about your volume even though you are just conversing with your friends. Overall not really recommended especially with a big group, since you will be asked to be quiet unless you want to sit inside with very loud music.

This is the best Greek food I’ve had outside of Greece. Absolutely amazing. Great atmosphere (we sat outside) they had heaters so we didn’t get cold. Attentive nice staff. Overall great experience and we will definitely come back!

The food is not only delicious but also beautifully presented, and special requests are accommodated. You can enjoy an incredibly pleasant evening there, as the lighting is also beautifully dimmed. Good food, rude service Told us early on we had 2 hrs for the reservation - fine. But the way they rushed us was so absurd we were done within an hour. They forced the wine down our throats, 3+ waiters came by our table every 2 minutes to ask if we wanted to order within the first 10 minutes. Not a place to have a relaxing dinner with friends. Replying to the comment below: poor planning if what they say is true, but given that the restaurant was only half full by the time we left and we called days in advance I think has much more to do with poor service and a desire to get people through as fast as possible, even if they have 2 hours…

Overrated, very crowded, and everything very tightly packed. The food was delicious, but overpriced. Any other Greek restaurant could do the same for significantly less money. It was extremely crowded (good for the owner), but also very loud, and you get removed from your table at the last minute (apparently you can only reserve for two hours), even if you're not ready. The service tried to be top-notch, but it wasn't really. You were more like brushed off, which is a shame, because the food itself was good and the location is great. Unfortunately, the chairs are incredibly uncomfortable.

First of all, the most important thing: Unfortunately, the food wasn't nearly as good as we would have expected given these reviews and prices. We had a grill plate for two people with all kinds of meat. The portion size was fine even for two good eaters. There were also potatoes with cheese. Unfortunately everything was a bit bland. The meat wasn't really warm when it was served and somehow everything was tough. We had hoped that the next piece of meat might get better - but in vain. The potatoes were also almost cold and bland. (We're really not big salt eaters, but even we were missing it.) The free bread was delicious. The service was nice and unobtrusive, we could have come by a little more often and we had to wait 30 minutes for a beer we ordered (subsequently) and asked for it several times. Card payment is possible. The four of us sat outside under the canopy. In itself it was a nice place that was protected despite the rain, but the chairs are very uncomfortable for taller people and the tables are very impractical if you don't want to mess with the other person. It sounds like a small thing, but it's quite annoying when you're there for two hours.

It's unacceptable that, while other guests just come for drinks, we sit squashed together to eat and drink, with no room to move or get an arm, handbag, or something similar in our faces every three seconds. For that alone, there could have been a small fee on the house for the inconvenience. It would also have been nice if the limoncello hadn't been at room temperature. At least the really nice lady/server made it somewhat bearable with her friendly manner.

Because of the really outstanding reviews, I wanted to try Taverna Platia. The restaurant is located in a backyard. There is an outdoor area with gas heaters and an indoor area. Everything inside was full. In this respect, only the outside area remained. It wasn't cold thanks to the heaters. I would describe the ambience as simple. I couldn't discover the stereotypes such as Greek columns or references to antiquity. The service was quick, matter-of-fact and polite. The menu is reduced compared to other Greek restaurants. I think that's good, because you focus more as a guest. I ordered a tzatziki starter and the souvlaki skewers with fried potatoes. The tzatziki was served with toasted bread. It was white and gray bread. In general, I always find toasted bread very nice because of the roasted aromas. Here I have to say that the bread was toasted to death. I have really good teeth but this bread was way too hard. I could barely even bite the broken slices of bread. The tzatziki was okay, garnished with an olive (not a kalamata olive) and a cucumber and served with oil. The tzatziki was too sour for me, it lacked the creaminess that I normally appreciate in tzatziki. Overall the tzatziki was average. Then after a short while the main course came. Three pork skewers with fried potato slices sprinkled with shaved Parmsan. Plus a nice dollop of tzatziki. The meat only had slight roasted aromas. What bothered me more was that the meat was extremely fatty and streaky. I only know something like that from Greek restaurants in the lower price segment. Here we are moving Higher priced segment. The potatoes with the Parmesan were also just dripping in fat - and the Parmesan did the rest. Fat carries flavor - and can make a dish delicious. I was hungry and ate, but it wasn't tasty. In my opinion, the price/performance ratio here is not right if you evaluate it objectively. Okay, the location seems to be a spot for people who want to see and be seen. For someone who wants good Greek food and no frills, there are certainly better alternatives in Berlin.

I really enjoy being welcomed and greeted like a good friend. The staff is very attentive and friendly, the food is delicious, the lamb fillet is cooked to perfection, wonderfully tender, simply fantastic. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

The food in the restaurant was good overall, but unfortunately nothing special. The dishes were solid, but lacked that certain something that really wows you. For the price I would have expected a little more. The portions were reasonable and the quality of the ingredients was okay, but the taste experience was rather average. The biggest criticism, however, was the service. You felt downright unwanted. The staff was inattentive and seemed uninterested. There were no friendly gestures or smiles and - if you weren't one of the regulars - you were unfortunately treated like second class guests. It took forever to even get served and once we ordered we were left waiting for a long time without any attention being paid to us. Even after a complaint about this, they showed no understanding and no excuses were given. In addition, the plates were cleared away even though we were still eating. Overall it was a disappointing visit and I will not be visiting this restaurant again. It's a shame, because the potential is there, but the service really spoiled the overall impression. Conclusion: food good, service poor. Unfortunately, due to the poor service, I cannot recommend the restaurant.

Difficult to find, very inconspicuous from the outside. A great restaurant inside with a very nice atmosphere.

We went to Platia based on a recommendation and wanted to celebrate a special occasion. We were asked by a bouncer what we wanted, so we immediately felt very unwelcome. After we were shown to the seat in the winter garden, we were served relatively quickly. Unfortunately after that it just got bad. The food itself was ok. While we were still eating, empty plates as well as plates with salad and dips were simply put away. When we were told that we would still eat it, the tzatziki was slapped from the plate onto one of our plates?! For an hour afterwards we were not asked about any drink requests or any other order requests. When we were told that we wanted to order something, cards were almost thrown at us and no one came for another 20 minutes. We felt unwelcome, while another group of women right next to us received extremely friendly service. Maybe our necklines weren't deep enough. We decided to leave and our review however left the waiter pretty unimpressed. We were so looking forward to the evening and were so disappointed.

A completely successful visit! The food was super tasty and the portions were really generous. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. We were particularly happy about the two free shots and the nice greeting from the kitchen as dessert - a great gesture!

The waiters greeted us all with a warm welcome and a big smile, which made us feel comfortable right at the beginning. The Greek cold tapas were flavourful, the meat was well cooked neither dry nor overcooked but rather Juicy and you could tell the bread was just made for how fluffy and hot it was. Overall great atmosphere but a bit pricy for what we ordered.

What can I say about that? Everyone describes it accurately: a successful mix of good food and a festive atmosphere. The entire team provided truly first class service! It was my first visit with my wife, but certainly not the last. We felt very comfortable.

Nice location in a "hinterhof". We sat on the terrace which was closed in for the winter and was very, very cozy with candles and heaters keeping us warm. Service was fine. It seemed a bit unorganized but they were very busy. Food was very good. A bit pricey considering that the dishes were light on the sides. The restaurant feels "Greek" without the cliches. Very nice. We ordered a bottle of Greek wine which was delicious. Had a very nice evening.

Something hidden in a backyard. It was a bit difficult for us to find. The food was OK. We were there with a larger group and were seated somewhat awkwardly. Due to the patio heaters that were set up, which were absolutely necessary in the separate room in front of the restaurant, some people always had to get up when someone wanted to go out. The service was very friendly, but sometimes very slow when it came to replenishing drinks. Significantly more sales could have been generated by asking regularly. We also had to wait quite a long time for the drinks we ordered when they came. Which was also the case from time to time with a few people at our table. I was actually looking forward to later in the evening because a DJ was supposed to be playing music there. Unfortunately it turned out to be more of a Turkish dance evening, which we didn't really like the music. Some of us were in the restaurant from time to time, which prompted the waitress to remove tables and chairs from our table without asking. That was the point in time that felt like being kicked out. I've had a much better and more comfortable evening in Berlin.

Business dinner at the “best Greek in Berlin” – and we were not disappointed. The menu is very diverse and offers much more than the usual offering at the Greek restaurant on the corner. We had the appetizer platter, and my main course was grilled octopus with grilled vegetables. All dishes were excellent in terms of quality and taste. The ambience is harmonious and the service is very attentive.

Not Greek in the traditional sense but really another category. Very tasty but also slightly above average price (but fair for the quality) recommended both in summer and winter.

We were there with a group, one came spontaneously but wasn't allowed to sit, the waiter didn't give us a chair, so we left, but we found out that after a certain time the tables would be taken away from you so that you had more space to dance, So you can only sit there without a table. Food was also said to be bad. None of our group spoke highly of the food. Well, I have no idea why that would be so “cool”. Kudos to the bouncers and the guy who opens the barriers for the cars.

I was here today for the first but definitely not the last time. You almost never get such delicious, real Greek food in Berlin, plus very friendly service. The two of us shared the meze platter for 1 person, along with dolmadakia (grape leaves) and kolkithokeftedes (zucchini cheese balls). For dessert we shared Loukoumades and were both really full. The price is higher, but it is and remains something special

Were there for the Christmas party with 28 people and had booked a menu in advance. Pros: the food was good; Vegan dishes were prepared on request Cons: extremely loud, canteens/October Dest feeling; you can't go through the tables to the toilet without pulling out someone's hair or dragging your jacket with you; no wardrobe, very hefty prices; Food came very slowly; extremely uncomfortable garden chairs that were extremely worn and garden tables, BEFORE THE DESSERTS ARRIVED, ASHTRAYS WERE DISTRIBUTED ON THE TABLES AND YOU COULD SMOKE INSIDE 🤮

A surprising experience: the beautiful backyard with an almost romantic city atmosphere in Cologne. The exceptional dishes with very solid quality. The charming, bustling group of waiters who absolutely had everything under control. We liked all of that. Only - the food came a little quickly as the house was full. Barely five minutes after ordering, fried and grilled calamari were already on the table. How is that possible? We would have liked to have had a little gourmet break beforehand.

Despite the numerous positive reviews, the restaurant didn't convince me at all. For me it's more of an artificially generated hype about the tavern. The later the evening, the more “special” type of guest. The store focuses on mass and €. Everything is nice and narrow and full and they make sure that the flow is not hindered. When ordering cocktails from the menu, the answer was often “not available now”. Food is expensive and not always good/convincing.

The lamb was excellent, the service exceptional, the location great... If there is anything to note at all, it is the parking situation
