I really enjoy being welcomed and greeted like a good friend. The staff is very attentive and friendly, the food is delicious, the lamb fillet is cooked to perfection, wonderfully tender, simply fantastic. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Because of the really outstanding reviews, I wanted to try Taverna Platia. The restaurant is located in a backyard. There is an outdoor area with gas heaters and an indoor area. Everything inside was full. In this respect, only the outside area remained. It wasn't cold thanks to the heaters. I would describe the ambience as simple. I couldn't discover the stereotypes such as Greek columns or references to antiquity. The service was quick, matter-of-fact and polite. The menu is reduced compared to other Greek restaurants. I think that's good, because you focus more as a guest. I ordered a tzatziki starter and the souvlaki skewers with fried potatoes. The tzatziki was served with toasted bread. It was white and gray bread. In general, I always find toasted bread very nice because of the roasted aromas. Here I have to say that the bread was toasted to death. I have really good teeth but this bread was way too hard. I could barely even bite the broken slices of bread. The tzatziki was okay, garnished with an olive (not a kalamata olive) and a cucumber and served with oil. The tzatziki was too sour for me, it lacked the creaminess that I normally appreciate in tzatziki. Overall the tzatziki was average. Then after a short while the main course came. Three pork skewers with fried potato slices sprinkled with shaved Parmsan. Plus a nice dollop of tzatziki. The meat only had slight roasted aromas. What bothered me more was that the meat was extremely fatty and streaky. I only know something like that from Greek restaurants in the lower price segment. Here we are moving Higher priced segment. The potatoes with the Parmesan were also just dripping in fat - and the Parmesan did the rest. Fat carries flavor - and can make a dish delicious. I was hungry and ate, but it wasn't tasty. In my opinion, the price/performance ratio here is not right if you evaluate it objectively. Okay, the location seems to be a spot for people who want to see and be seen. For someone who wants good Greek food and no frills, there are certainly better alternatives in Berlin.

The food in the restaurant was good overall, but unfortunately nothing special. The dishes were solid, but lacked that certain something that really wows you. For the price I would have expected a little more. The portions were reasonable and the quality of the ingredients was okay, but the taste experience was rather average. The biggest criticism, however, was the service. You felt downright unwanted. The staff was inattentive and seemed uninterested. There were no friendly gestures or smiles and - if you weren't one of the regulars - you were unfortunately treated like second class guests. It took forever to even get served and once we ordered we were left waiting for a long time without any attention being paid to us. Even after a complaint about this, they showed no understanding and no excuses were given. In addition, the plates were cleared away even though we were still eating. Overall it was a disappointing visit and I will not be visiting this restaurant again. It's a shame, because the potential is there, but the service really spoiled the overall impression. Conclusion: food good, service poor. Unfortunately, due to the poor service, I cannot recommend the restaurant.

Difficult to find, very inconspicuous from the outside. A great restaurant inside with a very nice atmosphere.

We went to Platia based on a recommendation and wanted to celebrate a special occasion. We were asked by a bouncer what we wanted, so we immediately felt very unwelcome. After we were shown to the seat in the winter garden, we were served relatively quickly. Unfortunately after that it just got bad. The food itself was ok. While we were still eating, empty plates as well as plates with salad and dips were simply put away. When we were told that we would still eat it, the tzatziki was slapped from the plate onto one of our plates?! For an hour afterwards we were not asked about any drink requests or any other order requests. When we were told that we wanted to order something, cards were almost thrown at us and no one came for another 20 minutes. We felt unwelcome, while another group of women right next to us received extremely friendly service. Maybe our necklines weren't deep enough. We decided to leave and our review however left the waiter pretty unimpressed. We were so looking forward to the evening and were so disappointed.

A completely successful visit! The food was super tasty and the portions were really generous. The waiter was very friendly and attentive. We were particularly happy about the two free shots and the nice greeting from the kitchen as dessert - a great gesture!

The waiters greeted us all with a warm welcome and a big smile, which made us feel comfortable right at the beginning. The Greek cold tapas were flavourful, the meat was well cooked neither dry nor overcooked but rather Juicy and you could tell the bread was just made for how fluffy and hot it was. Overall great atmosphere but a bit pricy for what we ordered.

What can I say about that? Everyone describes it accurately: a successful mix of good food and a festive atmosphere. The entire team provided truly first class service! It was my first visit with my wife, but certainly not the last. We felt very comfortable.

Nice location in a "hinterhof". We sat on the terrace which was closed in for the winter and was very, very cozy with candles and heaters keeping us warm. Service was fine. It seemed a bit unorganized but they were very busy. Food was very good. A bit pricey considering that the dishes were light on the sides. The restaurant feels "Greek" without the cliches. Very nice. We ordered a bottle of Greek wine which was delicious. Had a very nice evening.

Something hidden in a backyard. It was a bit difficult for us to find. The food was OK. We were there with a larger group and were seated somewhat awkwardly. Due to the patio heaters that were set up, which were absolutely necessary in the separate room in front of the restaurant, some people always had to get up when someone wanted to go out. The service was very friendly, but sometimes very slow when it came to replenishing drinks. Significantly more sales could have been generated by asking regularly. We also had to wait quite a long time for the drinks we ordered when they came. Which was also the case from time to time with a few people at our table. I was actually looking forward to later in the evening because a DJ was supposed to be playing music there. Unfortunately it turned out to be more of a Turkish dance evening, which we didn't really like the music. Some of us were in the restaurant from time to time, which prompted the waitress to remove tables and chairs from our table without asking. That was the point in time that felt like being kicked out. I've had a much better and more comfortable evening in Berlin.

Business dinner at the “best Greek in Berlin” – and we were not disappointed. The menu is very diverse and offers much more than the usual offering at the Greek restaurant on the corner. We had the appetizer platter, and my main course was grilled octopus with grilled vegetables. All dishes were excellent in terms of quality and taste. The ambience is harmonious and the service is very attentive.

Not Greek in the traditional sense but really another category. Very tasty but also slightly above average price (but fair for the quality) recommended both in summer and winter.

We were there with a group, one came spontaneously but wasn't allowed to sit, the waiter didn't give us a chair, so we left, but we found out that after a certain time the tables would be taken away from you so that you had more space to dance, So you can only sit there without a table. Food was also said to be bad. None of our group spoke highly of the food. Well, I have no idea why that would be so “cool”. Kudos to the bouncers and the guy who opens the barriers for the cars.

I was here today for the first but definitely not the last time. You almost never get such delicious, real Greek food in Berlin, plus very friendly service. The two of us shared the meze platter for 1 person, along with dolmadakia (grape leaves) and kolkithokeftedes (zucchini cheese balls). For dessert we shared Loukoumades and were both really full. The price is higher, but it is and remains something special

Were there for the Christmas party with 28 people and had booked a menu in advance. Pros: the food was good; Vegan dishes were prepared on request Cons: extremely loud, canteens/October Dest feeling; you can't go through the tables to the toilet without pulling out someone's hair or dragging your jacket with you; no wardrobe, very hefty prices; Food came very slowly; extremely uncomfortable garden chairs that were extremely worn and garden tables, BEFORE THE DESSERTS ARRIVED, ASHTRAYS WERE DISTRIBUTED ON THE TABLES AND YOU COULD SMOKE INSIDE 🤮

A surprising experience: the beautiful backyard with an almost romantic city atmosphere in Cologne. The exceptional dishes with very solid quality. The charming, bustling group of waiters who absolutely had everything under control. We liked all of that. Only - the food came a little quickly as the house was full. Barely five minutes after ordering, fried and grilled calamari were already on the table. How is that possible? We would have liked to have had a little gourmet break beforehand.

Despite the numerous positive reviews, the restaurant didn't convince me at all. For me it's more of an artificially generated hype about the tavern. The later the evening, the more “special” type of guest. The store focuses on mass and €. Everything is nice and narrow and full and they make sure that the flow is not hindered. When ordering cocktails from the menu, the answer was often “not available now”. Food is expensive and not always good/convincing.

A visit to the Platia tavern is like a mini vacation. The dishes are so delicious and prepared with love that you feel like they could have come straight from a Greek island. The octopus and the grilled lamb chops are particularly recommended. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed. For me one of the best Greeks in Berlin!

Great place, great service, delicious food, a bit expensive - but worth it!

Dishes came lukewarm. The service was aloof, overwhelmed and slow. After several requests, it gradually arrived and as a group we ate many warm dishes cold. Very tense. The ambience is like a whorehouse! Bottles upon bottles, the main thing is to show them as pompously as possible. So loud that conversation is impossible

The food is very good. I didn't know there was a club concept with a DJ there. We reserved a table at 6:30 p.m. At 9 p.m. we were told that reservations could only be made until 9 p.m. I thought I had a hearing impairment! Let's keep it short: 280 euros bill for four. Some of the audience seem to believe that they are at the Vienna press ball. Unfortunately it's a bit too comfortable. Suitable for business meals, but no longer suitable for private meetings with friends. I don't need a party concept and a time-limited reservation in the context of a Viennese press ball if I want to enjoy good, comfortable Greek food in peace and quiet

I think it's a nice shop, but the service treats you very dismissively if you don't order "a lot". I was there 3 times. I ordered drinks and appetizers twice and on both occasions I was treated very coldly and undesirably. Despite the tip, no one said goodbye or thank you. Since I also see other comments who have experienced similar things, I find it incredibly dubious to dismiss this behavior instead of apologizing for the mistakes and toasting to a better meeting soon. Constructive self-reflection looks different. If you have a large meal in mind, you can hope for nice service, otherwise avoid it. In any case, I won't be coming anymore.

So there we were, at the "best Greek restaurant in Berlin..... and we weren't disappointed. We had an appetizer platter, grilled octopus and a grill plate. Served with fried potato slices and rice noodles. And it was really wonderful. The service is very attentive and answers questions very kindly. We felt really comfortable. Prices cannot be compared with the usual Greek restaurant on the corner. But based on the quality, this is completely justified. We made a reservation based on the reviews and everything went really well. A clear recommendation for this great restaurant.

We have already eaten at Platia 3 times and celebrated a birthday there. The food was always super tasty, fresh and the Greek starters are particularly recommended. The service always makes every effort to satisfy all guests, always very friendly and nice. You can celebrate a birthday very well in Platia, especially in a group, the food, the music and the right lighting are precisely coordinated and to the point. A very great shop for good Greek food and a great party. Highly recommended.

Wonderful Greek restaurant in Schöneberg. Always a bit like a vacation. The food is great and the service is second to none. We like to come back again and again.

There were seven of us here on a Friday evening. At one point it was packed and therefore loud. You have to like the "party" from 10 p.m. - it wasn't for us. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't convince us for the price, we left a total of over 500 euros there and we didn't even get a single ouzo on the house, which you can get at every billo Greek restaurant - we all found that really disappointing. But what bothered us even more: We ate the menu and were already urged by the waiters to eat the starters, please eat faster so that there was room for the next course. That doesn't work at all. I don't want to let anyone dictate how fast I eat! Although we said in advance that one person doesn't eat meat, the vegetarian main course unfortunately only came upon request. This person was also a little disappointed that they paid exactly the same price as everyone else. While the meat eaters had octopus and three different types of meat, the vegetarians got giant beans and zucchini - wow... Otherwise, the food was tasty, but nothing special. Unfortunately, the audience that frequented there was absolutely unpleasant to us. Therefore, unfortunately there will be no second visit.

An extraordinary restaurant with an extreme atmosphere that I have never experienced before. Due to the atmosphere, including a great live singing performance, I wasn't able to enjoy the good food, but the visit was very worthwhile.

I have read some reviews and can confirm that the restaurant loves to talk about its first class service and hospitality, but unfortunately there is no sign of it. The waiter grimaced and loudly said "thank you" when someone at the table didn't want to eat. He then took the plate and simply walked away. There was neither a thank you nor a "goodbye" when paying, probably because the tip wasn't generous enough. Edit/Reply: Dear Taverne Platia team, It's a shame that people claim my experience never happened and that my review was reported to Google. I simply described my personal experience without seeking any confrontation. I'm sorry if my review was taken the wrong way. I would also like to emphasize that the atmosphere in your restaurant is very pleasant and I also acknowledged this aspect in my review.

Price performance and service is really bad. 4€ for a 0.2l orange juice with 20% fruit content from a plastic deposit bottle that costs less than a euro at a discounter is one thing, but then you don't say thank you or goodbye because you're just for a drink and the atmosphere and only for the bill Rounding up is a disgrace. Maybe you should train the wait staff to be friendly if the waiter gets stubborn about not giving him a 20% tip. Edit: Dear Taverne Platia team, Thank you very much for your reply to my feedback. Everything great, amazing food always! And we have been there several times already. Amuse-bouche : the bread and olive oil simple but so so tastful I could only eat that and would be great 😁. The grill plate for 2 is for sure at least for 3 but so so tasty. Wine selection great and of course the service is always smiling, welcoming and very professional & friendly :)

We arrived at 6:30 pm on one of the last warm evenings of the summer to a full courtyard and already with a lively atmosphere (birthday parties and social gatherings). The service was most friendly and professional. Despite the large number of diners, we never had to wait long and the staff didn’t appear flustered or stressed. The four of us shared a mixed entrée platter (supposedly for 2 people), which was good and luckily not to garlicy. My calamaris served with salad were the best I have ever had. The other main dishes were also well received. It was great to experience a Greek meal without an enormous thirst afterwards from the overuse of salt. Many thanks for a wonderful evening! We will be back.

What a gem this restaurant is!!! It's hidden inside a yard, so you don't hear any of the street noises, it's very intimate, perfect for a romantic date. They also have tables in the yard for bigger groups of people, perfect for friends, reunions, etc. The staff treated us like we were long-time returning customers despite being first-timers. The food was amazing! My girlfriend and I ate 3 dishes altogether, everything tasted fantastic. This will be our go-to restaurant every time we return to Berlin for sure!

Man sitzt nett in einem Innenhof, schönes Ambiente. Die Getränke waren ok (Weißwein, Wasser). Das Essen dagegen absolute Abzocke: ein vegetarischer Vorspeisenteller für zwei mit vier geschmacklich undefinierbaren Aufstrichen, Rote-Bete-Scheiben und ein paar Teigteilchen aus der Tiefkühltruhe für satte 33,50. Der gegrillte Oktopus für 24,50 bestand aus zwei mickrigen Oktopusärmchen auf etwas Rucola und roten Zwiebeln. Sowas Dreistes habe ich lange nicht erlebt!

Near Richard-von-Weizsäcker-Platz, somewhat hidden, is this really great location with authentic Greek cuisine. The large outdoor area in particular invites you to relax and unwind in the summer months. Although there is room for a lot of guests, the tables are set up in such a way that it doesn't feel cramped or uncomfortable in any way. Due to the high demand, a reservation is strongly recommended. The service staff is hospitable and courteous and was never intrusive. The menu is manageable and not exactly cheap, but there is still no shortage of Greek specialties. I would have been very happy to have an ouzo on the house as a farewell, which I think is typical in such restaurants, but you can't have everything. Everything was perfect and I will definitely come back.

The Taverne Platia in Berlin Schöneberg is one of the best Greek restaurants I know. The food tastes exactly like you would on holiday in Crete. Everything is freshly cooked and sensationally prepared. The service is great and the wines are excellent too. In terms of price, the restaurant is in the upscale range and is significantly more expensive than the average Greek restaurant around the corner, but it's worth every cent. Reservations are essential, even during the week, as demand is very high. In summer you can sit outside, which makes the experience even more comfortable. From now on, Taverne Platia is my favorite Greek restaurant in Berlin!

We've been here twice, and every time we loved the food! We tried several different dishes, and so far we've enjoyed each and every one of them. Sorry for not sharing any pictures. The food looked so good that we all jumped in before I had a chance to take a pic! The outstanding dish: Grilled Calamari! Runner up: zucchini balls.

I was here with a large group recently, I guess over 20 people, and everything was truly top level. I very much enjoyed the food, and they took good care of those with allergies and other dietary requirements. The service truly stood out.
