Good place to eat some Greek food. Portions are huge!

Unfortunately a very disappointing restaurant. The staff was very unfriendly and the food wasn't tasty. The meat was dry, the starter plate didn't taste good and was overcooked. I can't recommend this place and wonder where all the positive reviews come from.

We were in this restaurant around 9:00 p.m. on a 30* warm summer evening. We were kindly invited in and were allowed to choose a spot facing the water. A very nice place, which was unfortunately complained about by insects. However, that shouldn't stop us from being served a delicious meal by friendly service staff. At pleasant prices and therefore a very good price/performance ratio, there was also a few free ouzo and a free Greek yoghurt at the end. All in all, this restaurant is highly recommended.

They gave us free ouzo shots at the beggining and end, also free greek yogurt. The gyros plate amount is super generous! No card payment though

Asteria is a complete no-brainer. The food is delicious and was prepared quickly. After that you were more or less left in the lurch for about 35 minutes. You would have liked to order more drinks to linger a little longer, but you were still ignored. There are too few tables offered than there is demand. Guests had to be directed inside to distribute the seats. We stayed here as an alternative as our favorite Greek guy is on a well-deserved vacation. The ambience is nice from the outside, right on the water and in the old town.

Pretty faceless mass store with no particular charm. The food is plentiful and partly good, but seems very bland. This is particularly noticeable in the details such as sauces, dips and salads. A reduced card would be necessary here! The service is at best OK, especially because you get the impression that the guests are trying to distract themselves from the rest with the constant ouzo. The constantly "broken" card reader is probably used to maximize tips, an absurdity in 2024!

We have always praised you among our friends and acquaintances and found you to be good. Unfortunately, this has changed significantly in the last two years. Your food continues to taste very good. It has happened to us several times now, as it did today, that our empty plates remain on the table forever, at least 20-30 minutes...Our drinks have been empty for just as long. Several times waiters went to the table next door and looked at us, but no one took the initiative. Gleich vorab, am besten man betritt das Restaurant von hinten über den wunderschönen Biergarten direkt am Ufer der Dahme. Die Frontseite an der Hauptstraße wirkt nicht einladend. Sonst alles in Ordnung. Gute Küche mit den üblichen Gerichten. Das Personal ist angen aufmerksam und flink. Wer in Köpenick unterwegs ist macht nix verkehrt hier einzukehren. Extra hinfahren würde ich nicht. Punktabzug gibt es für die Preise der Getränke. Trotz Inflation, unangemessen.

We had reserved a table for a birthday table for 11 people. As we know it from you, you always get ouzo at the beginning, in between and at the end. We didn't even get it. The waiter was constantly under stress. And even with the bill, every table got a dessert and we did Again, we have nothing at all, even though our bill was worth 400.00 and you could have given something from the house. I just thought it was wrong that everyone else got and we got nothing, even though we also had a birthday and had children with us. View from the terrace of Dahme/Spree at sunset: Absolutely brilliant, definitely coming back. Very friendly service completes the whole thing. My top recommendation.

Had a reservation for two people today. We also got a table in the busy outdoor area. Orders were taken and drinks brought out pretty quickly. However, we had to wait 1.5 hours for food. There were also such waiting times at two neighboring tables. We have never waited that long for food, especially without being told that it might take longer.

The restaurant was well attended inside. The decor is cozy and inviting. But it was full there. We then found space in the terrace area. The furnishings there are simple and practical. The staff is friendly and attentive. We had 1x gyros, 1x lamb fillet, 1x water, and a non-alcoholic beer for €49.30. The price is okay. There was also an ouzo before and after the meal. And finally a smaller, delicious Greek yogurt. The portions were large and the food tasted good. The points for the ambience only refer to the terrace area. We were there again the next day. And had a table in the restaurant. Cozy and tasteful furnishings. But the seating is tight and loud. But the food was again very tasty. Conclusion: recommended

UPDATE 03/22/24 Today I had to reduce the rating to 1 star because I was asked via Google by a law firm acting on behalf of the restaurant to send in evidence that I was a guest there. Who keeps restaurant bills for 3 years? Not me, as a private person. Unfortunately I can't provide any evidence other than to say that I and my wife ate there that day and we experienced it exactly as described below. But if that's the trick to how restaurants get their ratings, then I'm no longer surprised and I'll save myself the work. By the way, I write more positive reviews than negative ones, but ONLY where it is justified. It wasn't here back then! POST FROM THEN: For eating (which is the most important thing in a restaurant): My side dish (tomato rice) was watery and didn't really taste like tomatoes. For the main course (gyros pan baked in Metaxa sauce with Edam cheese, which tasted very good) there was also far too little - 1 ball of rice for a pan of gyros. My wife's fries were mushy and no longer good due to the vegetable water in which the bottom ones were lying. This was also criticized by the waiter, but they countered with an excuse instead of admitting the mistake - ok, not everyone can! The solution, however, would be simple: serve the fries in a separate bowl like my tomato rice. Generally: We sat on the very busy terrace. The atmosphere was loud - also from the waiters, who kept shouting loudly: delicious or ouzo, etc., which I found annoying. But above all there was a large young audience, who primarily indulged in the ouzo, which was served "by the glass" over and over again, and sang songs that don't belong in a restaurant. About the service: I had the impression of mass processing. We hadn't even sat at the table when they wanted to sell me a large beer. This hectic manner was then reinforced by constantly appearing at the table to eat. About the ambience: There was no Greek ambience on the terrace at all, it could have been an Italian restaurant or something else. In the restaurant where you went to the toilet, it was better! In summary, I would say that if you like drinking ouzo, don't care about the ambience and don't mind the noise, you can eat and drink well here. But we won't come anymore.

My friend had a lukewarm Jägerschnitzel, the lukewarm Jägersauce tasted like it came from a can. The schnitzels tasted of salt, unfortunately nothing more. My impression was that the schnitzels were prepared in a deep fryer and that they were molded schnitzels, the meat had the same color and consistency in every part of the schnitzel. A colleague of my friend had a dish with chicken breast fillet, this meat was extremely dry and hardly edible without the sauce. Payment with EC card has probably not been possible there for a long time, which in my opinion is not up to date. Great food. The waiters are incredibly attentive and friendly. We always got ouzo on the house and a delicious dessert. The food was excellent and the restaurant is beautifully situated by the river. We always enjoy coming back.

I have rarely experienced such friendly and incredibly attentive service as there. The ambience is incredibly beautiful. The food was high quality. Every bite is a pleasure and no long waiting times. The two of us visited Asteria in the afternoon - we liked that it wasn't so crowded.
