Asteria Köpenick in Berlin

The food is truly delicious and of good quality, but the service was simply abysmal for us. No one came along, and after half an hour with empty glasses, we took care of paying ourselves. The waiter was completely unfriendly, and we only paid by cash. A bar, these days, in the center of Köpenick. We ended up having to go to the bank for two euros. It's a real shame, but the service was terrible.

Unfortunately I can't comment on the food because it didn't come to that. I waited 10 minutes for the card, which I then got myself. Then I waited another 10 minutes for the waiter. Nobody came. Then I went forward and said I wanted to order. I was told to sit down and waited for the waiter again to place my order. He came after about 5 minutes and took my order quite coolly. So and I waited again. There was no drink, no food. I spoke to the waiter again and he became rude and then I left. You don't have to be treated like this!!!

We visited the Asteria Köpenick and were thrilled! I had gyros with Metaxa and cheese gratinated, with fries - everything was excellently prepared and tasted great. The portions are generous, so everyone gets enough. We were particularly impressed by the tzatziki – simply awesome! The ouzo also flowed freely, and as soon as the glasses were empty, the next carafes were served. A great service! The ambience is really nice, especially in the back area of ​​the restaurant. From the street you wouldn't expect how cozy it is there. Conclusion: A great Greek restaurant with delicious food, friendly service and great ambience. We'll definitely be back!

Great restaurant with a great range of food and drinks. We were guests with a larger group and the experiences were consistently positive. Everyone enjoyed it, the prices were reasonable, and the service was quick and friendly. This is not always the case with large groups. Thanks so much!

Luckily we were treated to ouzo and the food was also excellent. For dessert we were also treated to yoghurt/cherries etc., even though we hadn't ordered it. The food was brought to the table EXTRA (for 8 of us) as dessert. I've never had to turn down additional food/drinks before, but this time it was the case. The waiters were highly professional and our food was great :)

This is the best Greek in all of Berlin! Great atmosphere, on the water with a covered terrace, the food is always fresh and tasty and the service is always friendly.

Wow, just a really great restaurant. We are endlessly happy. We were warmly welcomed and got a table straight away. The service was always very quick and listened to our every wish. We got a small ouzo carafe and bedside table for free. We are totally delighted, it is the best Greek restaurant I have ever been to. Only recommended! Furthermore, everything is very nice and well furnished.

Unfortunately, the waitress often got everything wrong, misunderstood a lot of things and forgot the side dishes. Bad service. Unfortunately the food has nothing to do with real Greek food. Literally every dish was covered with convenience cheese. Absolutely terrible. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Since we live in Köpenick, we went there without booking a table this time. Saturday evening 7:00 p.m. 2 people and got a table straight away. Dieses Lokal ist natürlich sehr schön im Sommer durch die Lage zur Spree. Jetzt im Winter hatten sie den Wintergarten mit Gasheizern versehen und auch so ein gemütliches Umfeld geschaffen. Die Bedienung war freundlich, der Menuekarte beinhaltet viele Gericht. Typisch war der kostenlose Ouzo, der durch ein Kännchen wieder aufgefüllt werden konnte. Getränke und Speisen liegen auf höherem Niveau z.B. Gyros mit Reis Salat und etwas Zaziki 18,50€ , Weizenbier 6,00€. Geschmacklich gut aber leider schon etwas kalt serviert. Nett war die kostenfreie Nachspeise griechischer Joghurt. Leider keine Kartenzahlung möglich.

Übergriffige Kellner, miserable Speisen billigster Qualität und man wird ständig mit schlechtem Ouzo zugeschüttet, damit man hoffentlich die Fleischqualität im Rausch vergisst. Nie wieder.

We have enjoyed coming here for years. The food is extremely delicious. My lamb fillet was a poem. A glass of ouzo for each guest and a small carafe for refills were on the table as a welcome. A vase was even provided for the bouquet of flowers we brought with us. The cocktails were good too. Sitting in the winter garden is lovely even in winter. The heat columns not only spread warmth, but also create a pleasant atmosphere. The free dessert with some quark and red fruits shows warm hospitality. In this respect, the price-performance ratio is right and we would be happy to come back.

The food is really not worth the money. Prices have risen everywhere. You're willing to spend €20 on a dish and then the gyro is dry (maybe from the day before) and tasteless. The rice dumplings were carelessly thrown onto the plate. Not to mention what a salad is supposed to be. I haven't eaten so badly in a long time. Everyone in the group felt unwell. Even a large amount of inexpensive ouzo doesn't help. Can't recommend. Sorry.

Went there spontaneously with 6 people on December 11th, 2024. Got a great table. Food and drinks were all quick and great. Ouzo was always refilled and there was a free dessert. All in all, a really nice evening. The restaurant is definitely highly recommended.

After a few years we finally managed to eat at this restaurant again. It's still a highlight, the food and service are top. I can warmly recommend it.

We were here on November 23rd, 2024 to eat and chat a bit in a casual environment, like a few times before, it was just really good. When we got there, we were given a table outside in quite cold temperatures right between two heating columns, which, together with the pot of ouzo that was served directly, warmed us up completely both inside and out in a very short time. In general, it is pleasantly warm in the winter garden and the ambience is not too loud. Our food was brought with the second pot of ouzo, there were gyros with tzatziki and fries as well as gratinated gyros in metaxa sauce also with fries, and as always it tasted simply fantastic. Sufficiently large portions, perfect sauce and the ice-cold ouzo simply made our nonsense evening good. After a dessert served by the restaurant, which was healthy and a good contrast to the spicy meal before, we had another pot or two of the delicious ouzo and we went on our way at an advanced hour, elated and full

Ordered with delivery, the 1st time. And the last. Fries are 100% soggy. Baked mushrooms swim in sauce and are not really gratinated, and half “raw”. Gyros and schnitzel of questionable quality. The Metaxa sauce was well below average. It only tastes like very diluted tomato cream sauce. Nothing we ordered was really edible. Prices are of course high. Too bad...

NO CARD PAYMENT ‼️ Big portions but took a long time to come even though the restaurant was pretty empty. Salmon wasn’t as hot as it could’ve been and didn’t taste of much. At the end they told us that they do not take card even though there were no signs saying so and they didn’t tell us upon sitting down (they knew we were foreign). We had to pay in foreign currency (lucky we had some!).

There were 30 of us and we sat in the “awning”. There were patio heaters for some heat. The staff took our orders quickly and came back quickly with the dishes we requested. It was a bit tight. However, doable. Since there was no glass of water, I had to take a bottle. For 7 euros. This is a normal price for a liter of water.

On Saturday we were out with friends on the banks of the Dahme when we felt a little hungry. Luckily the Asteria restaurant was in sight and we went there at short notice. There was a free table for four people even though the restaurant looked busy from the outside. The friendly employee placed us in the “winter garden” in the immediate vicinity of a patio heater. This was very convenient for us as we were a bit cold from the walk in very autumnal weather. It didn't take long before the menus were handed out. As expected, we found the Greek classics and in-house creations there. When the drink order was placed, a small carafe with ouzo and four glasses was brought out shortly afterwards: "On the house!" Afterwards the ordered drinks were served. All the dishes we ordered came after a normal waiting time and what can I say: really tasty!!!. Overall, it was a complete success and a more than happy coincidence that we ended up in this restaurant. The service was good all around and the food and drinks were delicious! We had the lamb fillet and the chicken breast and I have to say that was the best lamb fillet I have really eaten in my life. It was tender, super tasty and totally seasoned.

The waiter who served us didn't know if he was misogynistic or didn't understand or didn't want to understand English. We wanted to end the day in that place and it ruined it for us. I must say that everything we ordered was good. He gave the bill to the only man at the table, with almost no option to let us read it. If you are a tourist and you don't know how to speak German, think about it, I certainly don't recommend it.YOU BAD.

The "outside area" is not recommended in the cold season. The patio heaters are where it is warmer anyway and the foil walls radiate extreme cold, there is a draft all the time. The side dish comes with the meal when the food has already gotten cold and the service doesn't respond to empty glasses.

The drinks were ordered one after the other but were delivered in a complete mess. The eggplant starter was too big, everyone else had a free salad. Main course was something different on the plate than ordered (gyros was extra). Packing each took 30 minutes, not environmentally friendly packaging. Cash only?! Paid 35 euros for 1 starter and 1 main course and 2 drinks. No parking spaces available. Unfortunately there were no free parking spaces for bicycles either. So definitely more suitable for small groups...

I ate a roast beef steak there. That was probably 250 g. Mega tender! Add garlic and roast potatoes together with some zucchini slices, also roasted. And side salad. And don't forget the Ouzo, little pot!!!! And the price includes a small dessert with apple slices, Greek yogurt and fruit sauce. I'll definitely go there again when I'm in Berlin! It was really great!!!

We had a spontaneous meal there yesterday. We hadn't reserved a table, but we were warmly invited in and shown a table where we could sit down. We had garlic bread as a starter and it tasted great. A candle was lit :D and Ouzu also brought the atmosphere was very nice and pleasant. Our food was very delicious so we took the rest home with us and we will definitely come back because it tasted very good and there was a nice atmosphere :)

Today I was at Asteria Köpenick with ten other people. The food, service and ambience were not convincing. The garlic bread was unpleasantly spicy. My gyro salad contained dry meat and no dressing whatsoever. It lacked flavor and enough moisture to swallow the whole thing. After a third I gave up. One person in our group received the wrong dish and another dish was missing the rice on the menu. We didn't even like the dessert (a kind of quark with red sauce that looked like it was in bulk) and was left largely alone. Perhaps some explanatory words from the service staff would have helped. Surely the restaurant could sell more drinks if the staff were more attentive. I was left high and dry for a long time. If you don't have to urgently, you should avoid using the toilets. They smelled strong. The hook in the right women's toilet broke off. Please replace! It's not nice when you have to put your bag on the floor to use the toilet. Please also repair the flush in the left women's toilet! It didn't work. I would like to end by writing something positive. Unfortunately I can't think of anything.

A rather below average Greek for the price range. The service is very chaotic and disorganized, so everything takes a little longer. The ambience is very loud, only the view of the water compensates for the noise. The food wasn't outstanding and very bland. For this reason, the garlic is not skimpy. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to pay by card and there was no invoice either. So all in all, semi-reputable again and with a price structure of around €17-20 per dish. Too bad.

Food: very large portions and absolutely delicious!! 😍 Garlic bread quite “spicy” due to the fresh garlic. Only the calamari rings were not good (tough). I've been looking for a good Greek restaurant nearby for a long time and now I've found it, inconspicuous from the street but really beautiful inside, the food is very good, the atmosphere is very harmonious, the service is fantastic (waiters who do it with passion). So I have to say, we are totally satisfied. The food was super tasty and lots of it, the service was nice and accommodating, free ouzo in a pot on the table and free dessert. We've never experienced it at any of them, especially not these days. We didn't have to wait long for our food, even though it was full. We saw it on the outside terrace, where you're not allowed to look closely at the window front (complaining at a high level), otherwise everything was ok. When the weather is nice it's definitely great.

Over the years, both the service and the food have gotten worse. We sometimes waited 20 minutes for the drinks we ordered. And the food isn't that good either. It was sometimes cold at the table here. It's a shame, we really enjoyed being there.

We were in this restaurant around 9:00 p.m. on a 30* warm summer evening. We were kindly invited in and were allowed to choose a spot facing the water. A very nice place, which was unfortunately complained about by insects. However, that shouldn't stop us from being served a delicious meal by friendly service staff. At pleasant prices and therefore a very good price/performance ratio, there was also a few free ouzo and a free Greek yoghurt at the end. All in all, this restaurant is highly recommended.

Asteria is a complete no-brainer. The food is delicious and was prepared quickly. After that you were more or less left in the lurch for about 35 minutes. You would have liked to order more drinks to linger a little longer, but you were still ignored. There are too few tables offered than there is demand. Guests had to be directed inside to distribute the seats. We stayed here as an alternative as our favorite Greek guy is on a well-deserved vacation. The ambience is nice from the outside, right on the water and in the old town.
