Very attentive service; we were asked three times if everything was to our satisfaction. The food was, as always, delicious and more than sufficient. The restaurant has its charm. I hope everything stays the same here.

The schnitzel is truly the best schnitzel you can get in Münster. Crispy and simply very good meat. The half chicken (house special) is also delicious, as are the delicious salted fries. The drinks are unfortunately a bit expensive; for example, you pay a lot for a large Coke. However, the schnitzel is totally fair for what you get. The waiters, however, need to focus a bit more. Sometimes customers are ignored at all, food takes an hour to arrive, and even the next person's entire order was forgotten on a day when it wasn't very busy. Perhaps you could make a bit more of an impression with a shirt or something rather than a black T-shirt and a rather "inappropriate" outfit for such a traditional restaurant. All in all, a great visit. I'd happily go back.

Unreasonably high drink prices. The waitress barely noticed us, preferring to sit down at an older gentleman's table and chat with him in a friendly manner, while ordering a drink... The food wasn't tasty either, though, and the fries were good. Considering the prices, the place, the ambiance, and the service (!!!), it's just rude and embarrassing. I would never come back and wouldn't recommend the place to anyone. You'd be better off at any restaurant or snack bar in Münster, and you'd be much more welcome as a "normal" customer. Embarrassing.

Drinks were ridiculously expensive. Coke was €6.20. We had to wait a really LONG time for food for a place like this. The waiter threw half a fries over our lap while serving us and walked away without saying a word – absolute cheek. The service was generally taciturn and not very welcoming. The schnitzel was soggy and the sauce was absolutely subpar. Only the regular a few tables away was treated warmly and friendly. I would never go back here again. Absolutely disappointing and abysmal.

We're always happy to come back. Nordstern, known far beyond the district for its fried chicken, delivered on its promise. The food was delicious, and the service was very attentive and patient. It's best to arrive here by bike. We also sat outside, but unfortunately, the outdoor chairs were very unsuitable for me; they were hard and angular. I'd be happy to go back anyway.

The prices are simply outrageous these days. €7.80 for a 0.5L draft beer is simply outrageous. Unfortunately, the beer was almost non-carbonated, so we couldn't drink it. The chicken, however, tastes very good.

Not for vegetarians or vegans. At least if, in 2025, that means more than just salad and fried/roasted potatoes.

One of the best roast chickens in Münster, really good. Friendly service and accommodating to requests. The interior was a bit too dark for my taste.

Hier hat sich im positiven Sinne nichts verändert. In einer sich gefühlt immer schneller verändernden Welt ist das hier ein wenig wie eine Konstante, oder eine kleine Zeitreise in die eigene Vergangenheit. Als man aus der damaligen Eule kommend, noch etwas Essen wollte... Eher Kult als Hipp.

The chicken we had was tender and juicy, and they serve authentic Regina wine "without sweetener." The service was very friendly. It was delicious, once again.

Well, yes, As a long-time, regular visitor, now a current comment: With the prices that are now due, I simply can't go there as often anymore, it's that simple!!! 1xSchnitzel, 1xKrüstchen and a little Urquell v.Fass for 2 people for 100€ is simply beyond the scope. Too bad🤔

The half rooster, crispy and tender, plus a few jevers, and I already know I'll be back next week.

I have known the North Star and its chickens my entire life. And whenever I come back to Münster, I go there for chicken. But something seems to have changed in the kitchen in the last few months?! The chickens are unevenly browned, come out of the kitchen rather lukewarm, some are much too dark and the taste of the last thing was really borderline too salty. Absolutely consistent quality for decades and what's going on now? Is things going downhill in the Nordstern now? And yes, but then €7.50 for half a chicken to take away. Getting more expensive and getting worse quality is not a good combination. After two disappointments within six months, once eaten on site and now once to take away, I'm happy to give it a third chance. Get your kitchen back under control. Because if it repeats itself, that’s it for me too. That would be a total shame!!!!

Wir hatten mit 4 Personen eine Nordsternplatte. Alle 4 Personen hatten am nächsten Tag Durchfall und Erbrechen, obwohl es uns allen gut geschmeckt hat. Vielleicht gibt es ja einige Leidensgenossen.

Nordstern has a very long tradition in Muenster. Interior and atmosphere are warm and inviting. A very traditional Muenster flair. Friendly service and of course the house 🐔 and fries is great. Don't forget to make a reservation.

Tried the chicken on recommendation. Very tasty crust and tender meat. Suitable sauces as a side dish. Pomerania okay. Schnitzel very tasty and also the croquettes. The fried eggs on a mountain of delicious fried potatoes were very appetizing. Food deserves 4 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟, but the price is already proud. A plate with 2 chickens, fries, sauces and 2 drinks 35 euros

Poor communication, dry chicken and old fries. Side salad flooded with dressing. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right here at all. If you order something to take away, ask the price directly, otherwise it will be expensive.

I ordered a chili chicken which, according to the menu, was supposed to be covered with chili sauce. Unfortunately, half of the chicken was covered in sauce rather carelessly and the fries had a lot of dark spots.

Super tasty fried chicken. Directly at the Kreuzkirche in the middle of the Kreuzviertel. Diverse selection of beers. A restaurant with a long tradition. Rustic atmosphere inside. The specialty is fried chicken in many variations. Delicious schnitzel dishes are also available. Logically, this is not the first port of call for vegetarians and vegans. Very comfortable outside when the weather is nice. There is a special offer for the night owls on the way back from the party - the roast chicken is discounted as a nutritious evening meal. We'd love to come back.

I've known the place and the obligatory chicken for decades. They are very tasty, but have become quite expensive over the past three years. In return, the chickens were apparently put on a diet. The days of juicy breast meat and a good portion are long gone. Price performance is simply no longer right, in my opinion it's greed inflation!

An institution in Münster. Large selection of draft beer but at proud prices. Personally, I don't think the much-praised chicken is that good; it's fried too long for me. But there are other delicious dishes too! Cozy atmosphere, also very nice outside in summer.

North Star is a feeling. Whether you sit comfortably in the evening watching the sunset or get a midnight chicken, it's always worth it. The rustic ambience attracts the entire Kreuzviertel.

A quaint restaurant in the middle of Münster. Based on a recommendation, I visited the Nordstern today, but my expectations weren't really met. The chicken was, apart from the juicy breast (which was really great), very dry and simply fried. The fries were lukewarm and over fried so they were like chips. Unfortunately, the service was extremely overwhelmed, so that sometimes you had to wait a long time, regardless of whether it was a packet of mayonnaise or the bill.

The restaurant could use some sprucing up. Even though it's an old restaurant, the walls and wood would benefit from painting. Everything looks pretty run down. The service was very nice and the food was also very good. Which wasn't nice at all, we sat at a table opposite the men's toilet. When the sliding door opened, you could watch the men pee. Very unappetizing to eat 😩

There are options for vegetarians, it is open until 3 AM, a variety of beers on tap and at a good price. The waiter Niko is one of the most attentive and kind workers I have ever seen.

Leckeres Essen in einer urigen Gaststätte

Sehr netter, aber altbackener Laden, der aber gerade deswegen auch einen besonderen Charme hat. Mit einer großen Auswahl an gezapften Bieren und einer Küche, die bis spät in die Nacht offen hat. Mein Favorit sind die drei Spiegeleiern mit Bratkartoffeln, aber für viele ist das Brathähnchen ein Muß. Auf jeden Fall gerade in der Woche ein Treffpunkt für viele Nachtschwärmer, da die nahe liegende Altstadt früher die Pforten schließt. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert und vom Preis auch voll in Ordnung.

Die mit Abstand Weltbesten Hähnchen alleine dafür ist ein Besuch in Münster gut

Das Lokal ist natürlich ein Klassiker in Münster. Das Essen ist auch immer noch gleichbleibend gut. Aber ich finde so langsam könnte man etwas an dem Ambiente erneuern. Wie Tische und Tischdecken. Auch eine Klimatisierung wäre von Vorteil

Uriges Restaurant mit einer guten Auswahl von Fassbieren die Preise für 0,5l im oberen Niveau. 1/2 Hähnchen sehr gut!!
