Isegrim Café Bar in Münster

I didn't like the fact that the restaurant was filling tap water and selling it for 4–5 euros. I don't think that's very fair. I hope the restaurant improves this behavior in the future.

From 5 to 3 stars. It's no longer Isegrim. It's cowardly to accept the reviews/ratings. The one because the style is still the same. There are too many good Italian restaurants here. I don't need to come here again. Before: The ambiance is modern, stylish, and cozy. They serve breakfast, bowls, coffee and cake, as well as burgers, cocktails, beer, wine... Large windows to look out of, well-stocked bar. Excellent coffee, best blend. Top-notch chai (latte). Not powdered tea with added sugar or other ingredients, but real tea, made with the Porsche coffee machine. Very aromatic. Top-notch milk foam. Porridge to die for, large, delicious bowls. Breads are very well-filled (50/50 ratio to bread). They use the freshest ingredients for everything, a cake counter with classics like brownies, cheesecake/apple cake, banana bread, savory quiches, also for vegans. The staff is really friendly and always on the move. Wait times are a bit longer, as the food is always freshly prepared and topped with toppings. Prices are quite high, but really reasonable for the location and quality/quantity. (For example, over 500g per porridge, wow!) I'd say everyone will be full and satisfied. More shops like this would be good for MS, especially in this area where there are currently 18!!! kebab shops (I counted).

I love it! For me, the restaurant is like a second living room, a place where I can enjoy my evenings and completely leave the stresses of everyday life behind. Whether alone or with friends, the atmosphere here is truly inviting. The chef and his team are incredibly friendly. The authentic Neapolitan-style pizza is a dream: crispy base, fluffy crust, fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned. Every visit is a little highlight, and I always look forward to returning.

My profile stated that I used to be the bar manager at the pizzeria; I was the bar manager at the Isegrim. Please change this. I get asked about it often, and my profile is misrepresenting my career in Münster.

The food is quite tasty, the service is very friendly but also a bit slow, hence the one star deduction. The cocktails tasted rather strange. A bit syrupy. A strange aftertaste. All of them we ordered. Another star deduction because the cocktails really didn't taste good.

We waited a quarter of an hour to be served. We were very hungry, and we weren't given a menu, nor were we greeted or anything like that. It was a disgrace.

Beware of food poisoning. I was inspired by Instagram; the location is near the train station with all the junkies. I had a Margherita with vegan cheese. Changing the order was easy, but it tasted weird, but I still ate it. That was a big mistake; it gave me food poisoning. :( I can rule out that it came from somewhere else. The associated problems and pain are unimaginable. Therefore, I have to give it one star. The service was still super friendly.

After an attempt was made to delete my review for defamation, here's a detailed report of our visit, especially since the restaurant benefits from all the positive reviews from the burger joint that previously occupied the location. We sat outside for over 30 minutes, tried unsuccessfully to hail waiters several times, and didn't even get a menu. We then went in on our own and sat down at the table in front of the counter, the four of us. It took over another 15 minutes for us to get our menus, and the waiters kept fobbling us off. The place was only about three-quarters full outside and almost empty inside. After over an hour, our order was finally taken. We waited another 30 minutes for our food. The result: - Pizza with "rump steak strips" was overcooked, gray, dry, and tasteless. - Pasta arrived, but without the advertised Parmesan cheese, which we also didn't get. - Pizza Margherita was completely missing, never arrived, and we didn't want to spend any more time in the restaurant. The pizza dough itself has good potential, but the preparation and overall experience were, unfortunately, absolutely disastrous. Only the waiter, who then billed us, showed some understanding and removed two soft drinks and the never-seen pizza from the bill. Even though the restaurant is relatively new, these are not the conditions under which one can serve guests. We were truly disappointed. I hope the restaurant improves significantly in this regard.

Good food, very friendly service. The location near the train station generates a correspondingly large clientele on the street, but you can sit outside quite undisturbed.

I'm just enjoying a delicious spaghetti aglio ed olio, pasta a little overcooked but well prepared anyway. Good location, in front of Munster station.. the pizzas are of a very good appearance and quality, the oven is oven. I didn't hear any of the staff speaking Italian, despite the very Italian name and the menu written in perfect Italian. Clean place, even the toilet and friendly staff. I recommend it.

Our food was extremely salty and absolutely not what was advertised on the menu. Our food was only lukewarm. The taste was okay, but nothing special. For €10, it was fine; the selection was very appealing. However, I wouldn't go back for more.

The pizza was very good, especially the dough. The service is noticeable because the pizzeria hasn't been around for very long, but that will definitely be different next time. Absolutely recommend it.

The pizza was excellent! Even special requests (e.g., without tomato sauce) were accommodated. Instead of cutlery, they also offer pizza scissors, which I personally really liked! We'll definitely be back – maybe the service will be a bit more up to speed by then :).

First of all, Isegrim is a nice place to have a leisurely breakfast or a drink in the evening. I find it absolutely stylish and modernly furnished. The coffee and especially the breakfast were great! Unfortunately, the service was a bit sloppy, we weren't asked if we wanted to order anything else and some of the empty plates and cups were simply cleared away. The staff seemed overwhelmed and uncoordinated.

Unfortunately, the prices bear no relation to the performance. 16€ for a sandwich with two slices of tomato and rocket and cheese. The bowl was very carelessly prepared. Coffee was fine and hot, so a small plus. All in all, disappointing and clearly too expensive.

I was out with friends in the pedestrian zone today and the inviting atmosphere immediately appealed to us. We spontaneously came in for lunch and were not disappointed. The food was really tasty and the service was very friendly and attentive. I would particularly like to highlight the blueberry mint lemonade – it was simply refreshing and super delicious! Overall a great experience and definitely recommended.

We were in this café towards evening and it was really, really cozy. We drank coffee and a homemade lemonade there and ate a piece of cold snout. The cold snout was incredibly delicious! The service was great and we really, really enjoyed our stay overall.

We ate at Isegrim today. The waiter handed us the menus without saying a word. Then we waited. In the meantime, all the guests who came after us were served and we were ready to leave. The young man also had various food residues on his polo shirt. The food was okay so far. But after this experience it is not enough to visit again.

I used to like to come here for a drink or a small snack because of its central location. My last visit last year was still good. The last two, however, were a disaster. The avocado dip consists of a tablespoon of carelessly mashed avocado, without salt and pepper or other spices, which results in more pieces than mashed avocado in the small sauce plate and the poached eggs are completely hard-boiled. However, the service staff are astronomically bad, especially the middle-aged lady. When we ate there she seemed to be overwhelmed by the 4 tables and it was hardly possible to order more without waiting at least 20 minutes. You can have a bad day and I understand that, but the older lady who served us a few weeks ago was there again today when I stopped by for a coffee to go. I wanted a double espresso macchiato (oat milk) with an extra espresso shot. In response to her annoyed question, I explained to her three more times how I wanted my coffee. I can understand that it's an unusual order, but when you do a job like this you should have a different attitude. I don't know what she typed into her system, but charging €7.80 for a coffee is an outrage. If you add that up on the card, it doesn't come out to more than 5.80 (unless you get charged €2 for a cheap train station coffee paper cup, which is also maximum extortion). I didn't get an espresso macchiato but a latte (???) with as much milk as she poured in. That was the last time I set foot in this store.

Basically a nice shop near the train station. The drink selection is good (local craft beer highly recommended). We didn't eat anything, but the menu looked good... However, the service could be a little more attentive and better. So it's just (just) a nice spot to have a drink...

The flying bird burger was normal, nothing special and dry, with little sauce and avocado. Not like the photos I had seen, where it was large, with lots of sauce and avocado. I even showed it to the waiter and ordered it exactly the same, but I got something completely different. They didn't give me any sauce for the fries, I had to ask for it and got very little. The rice in the bowl was tasteless and hard. And the fries don't come with the hamburger😅

We waited a long time for service, it only came to our table when we asked. Whereas the food was good.

The ambience was very appealing inside and out. You could order food and drink using a QR code, which the staff didn't know because we were asked several times if we wanted to order something. We had to wait a long time for the drinks, which also didn't correspond to the drinks we ordered. The cakes we ordered didn't suit our taste (tasteless, cookies soggy, etc.). The service person was rude and seemed very stressed.

My friends and I regularly eat at Isegrim because we love the bowl we put together ourselves, it's really delicious. But that's the only reason! We got into the habit of going to another restaurant after dinner to have something to drink because the service at Isegrim was extremely poor. You are noticed exactly once and that is when you order your food and your first drink. You will no longer be asked later whether everything is OK or whether you would like to order anything else. We always gave a little tip because otherwise we felt uncomfortable. It's not even considered necessary to say thank you, and you don't even say goodbye in a friendly manner (we ourselves are always friendly, say hello and thank you). On our last visit we didn't tip, why should we?! After paying, the waiter turned around without saying goodbye and left...

This is not the first time we have visit to this cafe and before we have always replaced bacon and ham (I do not eatmeat) with salmon. today the waiter said that this was impossible, then he went to another table. Then he said that I had to pay extra for the fish. I replied that we are removing 2 ingredients, so why do I have to pay extra (especially when we didn’t pay extra last times). it was also difficult to understand him in either English or German, and when I told my husband that I didn’t want to eat here, the waiter rudely said “okay, goodbye” 😠 we also had to wait about 15 minutes when someone finally came to us to take an order. If I was previously recommended this place, then after today I won’t go again so as not to ruin my mood again because of the behavior of the staff

This cafe is located across the street from the train station, and every time in Munster, I wanted to go in, because for me, it is important that the interior was pleasant and relaxing, warm light, loft style, it is all there is in isegrim, and incredibly attractive through the large glass windows, and all the many people in the evenings. The chicken, and cake were definitely good, I wanted to try the eggs Benedict as well, but I would have preferred them for breakfast or lunch, so I decided to save them for another visit. Trotz Reservierung sollten wir erst an den Reste-Tisch direkt neben der Tür. Essen ist OKAY, aber absolut nichts besonderes; dafür aber wenigstens teuer. Bedienung geht i.O., aber könnte aufmerksamer sein. Cocktails waren gut! Insgesamt werde ich aber nicht wieder hingehen, da mir das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht passt.

Absolutely family unfriendly!!!!!! The food at Isegrim is certainly great and we would have liked to eat there - but unfortunately the service and willingness to cater to families is subpar. When asked if it would be possible to reduce the toppings on the burger (bun and meat patty) for a 2 or 5 year old child because the burgers stacked high are difficult to eat, there were two answers: 1. You could leave everything out, but the price of €12 would remain the same 2. The boss doesn't want children's portions. Unfortunately the boss wasn't available, otherwise we would have liked to have spoken to him. So we can only say: Unfortunately, we have never experienced such unfriendly treatment as a family in 8 years. Maybe the sign on the door will help: Families not welcome or families please stay outside?!
