The Nomad is a real fine-dining restaurant - and that is also reflected in the price. It definitely belongs to the upscale category, both in terms of cuisine and price. The ambience is very stylish and classy, ​​perfect for special occasions. We were here for Valentine's Day and the food was impressive: the sushi and beef in particular were excellent. The sushi is definitely in my top 3! For a special occasion, the Nomad is a great choice. However, it's outside my normal budget - not for everyday use, but definitely recommended for special moments!

Very tasty/good food in a cool location. Less coziness, more hipness. Professional service. Unfortunately, the portions are too small in relation to the prices and are getting smaller and smaller. Therefore, deductions in the price/performance ratio.

This was my second time eating there with my fiancée on Valentine's Day and all I can say is that the shop does everything it can to offer guests an unforgettable experience. Particularly noteworthy is the hospitality and attentiveness of the team. On the recommendation of the boss, Torres, we were surprised with an exquisite menu and a perfectly coordinated selection of drinks. Throughout the evening you never had the feeling of being ignored. The waiters were always extremely polite and courteous, which made our visit even more pleasant. An absolute recommendation.

We love the sushi here – fresh, creative and simply delicious. In my opinion, it's even the best sushi in Hamburg! The homemade drinks are also really tasty. The ambience is stylish, the music is always well chosen, and the waiter is super authentic and friendly. We always enjoy coming here on special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries. The service was really good but the portions were REALLY TOO SMALL FOR THE PRICE. I paid €14 for 3 DUMPLINGS!!! Like bro am I Rich?! No, I'm on a school trip! So if you're rich, you can eat there, but if you're just on vacation or on a school trip, don't go there. (Fat people don't either! Portions too small! Little tip!) Unfortunately, I didn't get full either, so I went to McDonald's afterwards!

I regret that; But I can hardly share the positive preliminary opinions either. The reception was attentive and nice. We were shown to our table and a short time later the first service arrived to bring water. Everything is great up to this point. The orders were pretty quick, but as the evening progressed the service became less and less attentive - I ended up standing up to ask for payment (!!) because I didn't feel like waiting anymore. Empty glasses were not cleared away - new drinks were hardly requested. Brought the wrong water - sorry. Our starter consisted of... PREMIUM TATAKI - there was little trace of flämmem - I couldn't taste mango. There was supposed to be avocado there? I'm sorry. The ponzu sauce was mostly sour. TUNA TATAR: it's a shame about the fish, which was so sour that I was worried that it would cover up the lack of freshness - was it certainly not civeche? Afterwards there were Nomad Rolls: ON THE GREEN; SPICY TUNA, BLACK TRUFFLE BEEF None of it was really tasty or something I would want to eat again. 3 stars are a real concession: I won't go there again.

Allgemein gute Bewertungen, daher über Mittag besucht. Service war freundlich aber nicht sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen selbst erstaunlich: Das Premium Tataki bestand auf 5 oder 6 sehr kleinen und dünnen Stücken Fisch und dazwischen noch kleinere Stücke von Jakobsmuscheln. Darüber ein bisschen Soße. Das war's für 25 EUR. Auch meine Nachbestellung, Special Salmon für 18 EUR, war sehr übersichtlich. Hat alles nicht schlecht geschmeckt, aber keine Offenbarung. Na dann, muss nicht nochmal sein.

Glasses were not cleared away, starters (sushi) came on a plate (bad for 10 people). Unfortunately no service was offered for the price. It has to be said that the restaurant was very empty when we made our reservation - if you can't properly serve 10 people you shouldn't agree to such reservations.

Unfortunately I can't praise the restaurant as highly as the other guests. The Service staff were not particularly attentive and also very taciturn. The portions are very small and for me they are not a good price/performance ratio. The lamb chops (3 pieces) were good, the sweet potato puree was very runny, and there were 2 Brussels sprouts that were cut in half to make it look like more. The tuna was very good. The parsnip puree was also very liquid, which mixed with the sauce and could no longer be defined in terms of taste. The salmon sashimi was good. The aperitif Lillet Wild Berry wasn't good at all for the price, watery, without taste, but at least it had two berries. The condition of the women's toilet facility was catastrophic that evening (Saturday 7.30 p.m.), dirty, the towel bucket was overflowing, there was a small amount left on the toilet roll, and there was no toilet paper in the next toilet either. No more towels to dry your hands. Unfortunately for me it only stays with this one visit.

Die 4 Hauptspeisen waren eher keine Empfehlung, inkl. zähem Fleisch. Hatten zusätzliche Beilagen bestellt, um satt zu werden, die jedoch erst kamen, als wir die Hauptspeisen schon gegessen hatten. Hier erfolgte keine Kulanz. Nette Geste war die überraschende Nachspeise, da ein Gast Geburtstag hatte.

Excellent fusion cuisine in a very cozy, beautiful atmosphere with extremely friendly and courteous service. The sashimi is absolutely great. The NOMAN tacos with salmon and tuna tartare in the crunchy taco shell are particularly recommended. The main courses are also beautifully prepared and are an exciting fusion version of classic dishes. Drinks (Negroni!) and wine selection are also excellent. Overall, highly recommended!

We were here on a weekday for dinner. The place was just fantastic, not crowded at all and with all its delicious food and the open kitchen where you can see what is going on behind the scene. We had edamame, beef truffle rolls, shiro miso soup and shrimps tempura. All was great, but especially beef truffle rolls was a star. Also, it is nice that when you reserve your place from TheFork, you can get 30% discount on many dishes, which is a great deal. Highly recommended.

Wir kannten das NOMAD bereits von einem Lunch-Termin mit Kunden und hatten dieses Mal einen Tisch für 6 Personen. Das Restaurant war besucht, wies jedoch noch freie Plätze auf. Das Essen ist soweit sehr gut, die Portionen der Vorspeise angemessen. Die Portionen der Hauptgänge fallen sehr klein aus. Unterirdisch war allein der Service. Zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptgang mussten wir ca. 40min. warten, zudem musste der Kollege aufstehen um zu bitten, dass abgeräumt wird. Aus meiner Erinnerung hätten wir beim ersten Besuch wohl eine Schulnote 2 bis 2- gegeben. Gestern beim Abendessen mit Kunden eher eine 4 bis 4-.

Can't say anything about the food. An Iranian disco event there today. Despite the bad, hot weather, there was hardly any ventilation there. A person next to me was almost collapsing. To help her as a doctor, I opened the door window. Suddenly a man in a red Puli closed the door and placed several tables in front of it and closed the escape route to the outside, pinching my fingers. While I was treating the woman, security came and politely kicked me out. My arguments about ventilation and escape routes fell on deaf ears. I am fully aware of the owner's property rights. However, he earns his money there and shouldn't care about the well-being of the guests. I hereby ask the responsible authorities to visit there and assess the situation from nearby. The man in the red Puli is the boss of the restaurant. He said he owns many restaurants and none have complained about ventilation or escape routes. I learned that in Germany. You can't bribe the authorities with money and that's a good thing.

We ate there the night of August 17. We asked for a table for 9:15 p.m. We arrived on time. At 10:20 p.m. we only had the drinks on the table, already empty and hot, and the soybeans. The food arrived, and it was delicious. During the entire dinner and the long wait, they were dismantling the dining room tables, because they had scheduled an event. The young man who attended us was very friendly, although he did not warn us of anything. We ordered dessert and before bringing it to us they brought us the bill with the excuse that they were in a hurry because they had a party... Obviously they did not offer us the possibility of having coffee or a drink or cocktail. €209 between three, which tasted very expensive because the treatment was pitiful. Maybe it was bad luck, but when you pay this amount of money, customers who perhaps, surely, like in our case, made an effort to be able to go to dinner must be treated with excellence. Summary: We do not recommend it at all, and for this price you can find places with much better quality food.

As an American visiting for area for the first time, this was our first meal when we arrived in Hamburg. It set the bar pretty high. I was surprised the place wasn't more crowded because the quality of food was amazing! The atmosphere was not too dressy not too casual. Modern and classy. Servers were very nice and helpful. Will be back.

Alles rundum hervorragend, es wurde nach und nach serviert, sodass wir immer genügend Zeit hatten, jedes Gericht und voll und ganz zu genießen. Das Serviceteam war super nett und sehr aufmerksam, die Empfehlungen waren sehr hilfreich und haben uns bei der Entscheidung sehr geholfen. Und haben sich gelohnt. Wir kommen wieder, das ist ganz sicher!

Got there when it opened and through our 2 hours of being there, no one ever came in. The restaurant was marketed as high end but food came out not plated well, and servers were on phones chatting with each other. The value was good but for the marketing of a “high end place” this isn’t where you want to go. Poor food, unprofessional waiters/waitresses, and weird environment. Not coming back

Nice location, good menu, nice service, my tuna steak surprisingly came well done, which should be asked when ordering, but is not a reason for a point deduction. The food was very good in terms of taste and quality.

Wir hatten telefonisch reserviert und unser Tisch war bereits vorbereitet . Personal ist sehr freundlich und kann alle Gerichte erklären und auch bei der Weinauswahl gekonnt behilflich sein . Die Cocktails sind der Hammer - endlich mal ein ordentlicher WiskySour 👍. Wir hatten alles an Sushi und auch fast alle Starter bzw Sharing Gerichte - alles tipptopp. Wir essen viel Sushi und sind da echt verwöhnt, aber die Kreationen hier haben uns hervorragend gefallen !!! Auch die Dumplings waren der Hammer 😋😋😋! Die Preise sind etwas höher (als z.B. im Henssler) , aber dafür gab es auch Geschmacksexplosionen. Wir saßen draußen, da es schön warm war … ok die Straße und Bahn sind etwas lärmend - mehr Bambuskübel würden helfen und vielleicht leise Musik im Aussenbereich . Wir würden definitiv wieder kommen und dann mal den Innenbereich testen - das Innen-Design sieht jedenfalls super aus .

The only thing that was disappointing was the vegetarian selection and the fancy-sounding fries 🍟 We were there on a Saturday, which meant there was a DJ there from 11 p.m. and the restaurant was quickly converted into a bar with a dance floor. Really cool atmosphere for a perfect girls night out! 👯‍♀️

Generally overpriced. Started off badly - offered a bottle of water with no indication of size or price. Only after I asked three times did we discover it's 8.50 for 0.7 L. That's a rip off in basically any context - it's water. The food was nice (the wild broccoli side was amazing) but the service was average/bad (one rude staff member, one bumbling staff member). We were also lectured about wine by a staff member who couldn't even pronounce the name of the bottle we ordered. Honestly? It's faux fancy and you can feel it, which is a shame because the food itself was nice and flavourful.

The food was pretty good but the place is generally overpriced. Wine list lacks variety.

Es stimmte einfach alles, angefangen beim sehr freundlichen Service mit toller Weinempfehlung bis zum Nachtisch, der eine wahre Geschmacksexplosion war! Alle Gänge waren eine kleine Überraschung, was Geschmack und das Anrichten auf dem Teller anging. Das Essen, obwohl etwas hochpreisig, war jeden Cent wert! Unbedingt ausprobieren!

The Nomad in Hamburg used to offer a special dinner & drinks experience that always provided a lively experience. Today it hardly stands out from other establishments. For this reason, the price-performance ratio no longer seems appropriate to me.

Despite it - we had to wait a long time between courses - The sauce was missing from one dish, we had to complain - 9 dishes arrived at the same time, the 10th dish only after the others had finished (!). There was no apology, no snack for the waiting person, nothing. The service was unprofessional. And last but not least, no one looks at the toilets; in the women's toilet there were noticeable, unsavory splashes on the door. No wonder there weren't many guests there. The food was mediocre, teriyaki was not teriyaki (was confirmed by 2 colleagues). Conclusion: Not worth the money. **Addendum April 4th, 2024** Obviously my criticism is unwelcome. The operator is currently trying to dispute this entry and have it deleted via Google. That speaks volumes.

We were there for dinner on a Thursday evening. The atmosphere is very relaxed and cozy. The sushi was incredible and our main courses (octopus and duck) were equally good. The wine selection was very diverse and the service was attentive and polite. We will be back definitely!

We had a lovely evening at Nomad. Yesterday I was in the restaurant here with my friends. We had a selection of starters, sushi and platters to share and were positively very impressed. Food looked great, the ingredients were great and prepared very well. The men's toilet should be looked at again - the light in one toilet didn't even work. We'd love to come back!

Wir kamen an einem Dienstag Abend, wo es recht entspannt zuging und nicht überfüllt überlaut war. Das Ambiente und die Atmosphäre waren wirklich gehoben dennoch entspannt. Der Service war einwandfrei und die Drinks super lecker . Ich hatte einen Roses ( Rose lime Cocktail). Nicht zu süs und begleitet das Essen perfekt (auf Empfehlung) Zur Vorspeise : für 18€ 4 wagyu a4 gyoza ( saftig und reich an Geschmack und dazu eine hausgemachte Sesam Nuss fruchtige sauce 10/10 für 18€ glaube ich shrimp tempura mit kleinen roten Fischeiern auf einer hausgemachten chilli mayo ( knusprig und frisch, der dipp war sehr lecker und spicy, reich an Gewürzen und nicht unangenehm scharf) 10/10 Als side dish hatten wir gekochten pak Choy mit chilliflocken. Frisch saftig lecker die Farbe war auch sehr schön 10/10 Im Hauptgang aß mein Mann ein 200g Steak mit Kartoffelpüree auf einer dunklen Sauce für 40€ ( well done war doch eher etwas zwischen Medium und well done. Mein Mann hat es aufgegessen und fand es ok. Die Sauce war wirklich salzig sodass sich die Gewürze im Geschmack nicht in Harmonie befanden. 40€ leider nicht gerechtfertigt 6/10 Weiter im Hauptgang aß ich pulpo mit einer Löwenmähne Pilz Tomaten und See Spargel 8-30€ den Preis haben wir nicht mehr Im Kopf( die Konsistenz Geruch und Geschmack waren perfekt, das Gemüse war saftig und frisch der seespargel war mir persönlich ein wenig zu knackig. 10/10 Fazit : das Essen war wirklich super lecker mal abgesehen vom Steak welches nun wirklich gewöhnlich war. Die Drinks waren originell und nicht zu süs. Naturell im Geschmack. Zum service : wir wurden super süs empfangen und der Kellner hat sich mehr als gut um uns gekümmert und dafür ein ordentliches Trinkgeld kassiert. Wir mussten nicht lange auf das Essen warten und das ganze Konzept passt perfekt in unsere Moderne maritime Metropole. Anmerkung : ich finde man könne die Karte um 2-3 side dishes und Gerichte erweitern. Wir kommen herzlichst wieder !!! :)

Our expectations were high, but luckily we weren't disappointed. The service was top! Unfortunately I can't say much about the bar because we only ordered soft drinks. The quality of the food was excellent and very attractively prepared. For starters, I recommend the wagyu gyoza. For the main dishes I had duck and I have to be honest, I haven't eaten such a delicious duck in a long time. We had sushi to share, unfortunately I can't remember which role was which. Zeds Lego Land as a dessert was 100% the right decision... I immediately felt nostalgic and the taste was good as expected. Thank you dear Nomad team for the wonderful evening and see you soon!

Trotz des freundlichen Service war das kulinarische Erlebnis ein kompletter Reinfall. Die Edamame waren trocken und geschmacklos, als wären sie schon seit Wochen im Voraus zubereitet worden. Die sogenannten “Spezialfritten” waren nichts weiter als billige Steakhouse-Pommes, die nicht einmal richtig knusprig waren, sondern eher labbrig und fad schmeckten. Die Gyoza waren ebenfalls eine Enttäuschung - ohne jegliches Aroma und weit entfernt von dem, was man unter authentischen Gyoza versteht.

We particularly liked the Salmon Kabayaki and the Carpaccio Tempura. The dessert platter was the crowning glory of a wonderful meal. What made a significant contribution to this lovely evening was the service, which was simply great. Friendly, attentive and very empathetic.

We went to Nomad for the first time yesterday. From the greeting and taking off the jacket to the farewell, it was an absolutely professional and perfect evening. As a starter we had the tuna tartare and a soup, everything was perfectly prepared and seasoned. In the main course we had sushi and surf an turf with half a lobster, here too all the dishes were perfectly seasoned and prepared to perfection. You can tell that the people know their craft and are passionate about their work. The restaurant manager served us and made the evening unforgettable with his relaxed but very professional manner. No wish remained unfulfilled. We have a little tip for the chef who knows his craft 300%, it doesn't look so nice if you always have your cell phone in your hand at the pass ;) We'll be back next year and are already looking forward to it.

It is definitely one of the best Asian restaurants in Hamburg with its taste, presentation and atmosphere. The sushi menu is very extensive and offers very tasty sushi with great designs. Absolutely recommended.

We were here for a business lunch and can highly recommend Nomad. The booking was uncomplicated and the service was very attentive and friendly. The food came quickly and everyone enjoyed both the sushi and the other main courses.
