I had an incredibly delicious pizza, and the service is always super friendly and attentive. Plus, the atmosphere is really nice.

I've always ordered my pizza here, and it was the best pizza in all of North Rhine-Westphalia!...but last time, unfortunately, it was a disaster!! The pizza was cold, the wrong ingredients were on it, and even the dough was very, very bad. I also had stomach problems last night because of the pizza. Unfortunately, I'm not supposed to order from there anymore. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend it.

Best pizza in Essen. No comparison to other places. Here you can get a traditional Italian pizza.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Probably the best pizza for miles around! Nola Pizza is an absolute stroke of luck for me – and I can honestly say it has some of the best pizza in the city and even beyond. The dough is perfect: crispy on the outside, wonderfully fluffy on the inside, with just the right amount of flavor from the stone oven. The ingredients are fresh, carefully selected, and combined in a perfect balance – every pizza is a small work of art. Marinara, Spianata, Bufalina, Purple Rain, Springbake... all wonderful pizza creations – at Nola Pizza, you can taste the passion for true craftsmanship in every bite. A little Italian vacation for everyday life.

The ambiance and service were really good. It was incredibly warm outside, but the air conditioning inside was nice and comfortable. Most importantly, the pizza was delicious. It was really good quality and filling. Therefore, 5 stars and a strong recommendation.

Authentically prepared pizza. My wife and I ordered half each (we had a late lunch so weren't particularly hungry), but it tasted so good I regretted not getting a whole one. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

A trendy pizzeria with a predominantly young clientele. Drinks are mostly bottled. The pizza was delicious and a decent size. The classic varieties (tonno, for example) are more or less missing here, but there are plenty of other, partly vegetarian, options. I'd happily come back for the pizza alone 😋🍕

Omg how good is this pizza, the dough was just perfect. It was so good that we ordered 2 pizzas! The place is very nice and I have tasted many Italian restaurants but this was by far the best. I totally recommend!

One of the tastiest pizzas I've ever had. Great cheese, everything tastes fresh. The tomato sauce has just the right acidity! Service was also very friendly! I wish they cleared the dishes a little faster. But that's just a minor thing :D Nice space with lots of little details! The chairs just feel like they're about to fall apart :D All in all, it's worth every cent!

The best pizzeria in Essen that can actually make the classic Napoli pizza. We're talking about Tipo 00 dough with endless resting times, perfect hydration, semolina, real mozzarella, and a hearty tomato sauce. Oh yeah, over 400 degrees Celsius in a stone oven does the rest ;) A small, fine place where I also like to invite my guests. The menu is manageable, but everything on the menu tastes good! The opening hours are a bit short, so only true connoisseurs know the place, and they appreciate it ;)

We didn't eat there, but we had a Bufalina pizza and a pizza with sausage: both very good! The dough is light, even if the edge is a bit low and the topping could be a bit more generous... but overall we were satisfied! The price, for my taste, is a bit high — but unfortunately here in Essen it's normal: if you want a really good pizza, you have to spend a little more

For me, as a pizza lover, this pizza is a true treat! It tasted simply fantastic! The fresh ingredients and the size are impressive. Plus, the friendly service and nice ambiance. The price is completely reasonable in my opinion (even compared to other locations). Now add a Negroni to the menu and everything would be perfect 😉

One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten!

The pizza was okay. The crust was very thin. And at €18, it was also very overpriced. €4.20 for a 0.33 liter non-alcoholic beer. Completely outrageous. And there were no parking options. So, as I said, the pizza was okay, nothing more, nothing less. But at those prices, I unfortunately won't be coming back.

Very friendly service and excellent pizza. Unfortunately, the restaurant is much too small. If you're a couple, you'll get a table for four with two strangers. It's impossible to enjoy the atmosphere.

Very good pizza! Original Italian pizza

This was my fourth time eating at the Nola restaurant and I was thrilled with the pizza and the friendly service for the fourth time. And the Radler is the best I know. The only shame is that as a family of 4 we couldn't make a reservation and therefore had to wait a long time. But in the end it was a very nice evening with four delicious pizzas :)

The pizza was okay, but nothing more. All pizzas are very expensive. For the money I expect steamed vegetables on the pizza and more. I cannot recommend Nola.

Best pizza in town (and I'm actually not a pizza fan at all)

My absolute favorite pizzeria in Essen. The pizza is like in Italy and the employees are very friendly every time. It's just a shame that the pizzeria doesn't open until 5 p.m. :D

So first of all: It's a good pizza! The spicy Spianata Salami has power. Really good! Unfortunately, the tomato sauce was a bit small for a Neapolitan pizza. So far so good. The problem: The pizza simply wasn't in the oven long enough. I would have expected more! See my pictures. The typical “leopard pattern” is almost non-existent. As you can see, it's all very pale. It wasn't well browned underneath the pizza either. That's why the whole pizza was very "doughy". As you can see in my other picture, the edge is not fluffy, but rather very dry and the dough is not dense. I'm expecting a lot of air bubbles there to make it fluffy. So dough management is not optimal either. So all in all, there is still more to learn here, but it has the potential to develop into a really great pizza! But the way I got it today - some of it still raw, firm, dry... Unfortunately I honestly can't give it more than 3 stars!

Very tasty pizza can only be recommended. We even found space for 8 people, but with a group like that you have to reserve in advance.

We came here based on a recommendation from a friend. The food is really fantastic, nothing beats it. However, we only got two drinks in over 3 hours on site, one drink right at the start when we sat down at the table, one drink afterwards. When it comes to service, they really saved money here. We would have really liked to drink 3-4 more drinks and it would have been good for the store in monetary terms, since a cola, for example, costs four euros just like a beer. If it were a purely takeaway pizzeria it would have received five stars, the uncomfortable chairs and lack of service really bring the average down. If I want to eat a pizza in Essen again, I can only do so here to take away

Spent a lovely evening with a dear friend yesterday. The pizza and the wine recommended by the boss were wonderful. The waiter had his first day. However, we received very good advice and service.

The Sami Deluxe is a true taste explosion! The authentic taste of the San Marzano tomato sauce gives the pizza a fruity depth that harmonizes perfectly with the creamy Mozzarella di Bufala. The Gorgonzola provides a strong note that is rounded off by the fresh basil and sweet cherry tomatoes. The red onions add a slight spiciness, while the Grana Padano brings the final touch of sophistication. The icing on the cake is the subtle spiciness of the chili, which provides a pleasant warmth in the finish. A first-class pizza that leaves nothing to be desired – simply sensational!

I went on a wild pizza chase in Essen. My daughter really wanted pizza (so did I), so I left my hotel and attempted to walk to a nearby pizza place. Unfortunately, they were not open, so I went to another that was also not open. Third try's the charm. When I arrived the hostess told me that they do not offer pizza to go, but the manager could tell I was tired and wanted to take a pizza home, so he made an exception for me. The staff were kind. I had a beer while I waited. The pizza was delicious! It lost a little something when I had the leftovers for breakfast the next morning, but that's to be expected with this thin crust pizza.

There is fresh Neapolitan pizza here. This spends just 90 seconds in the stone oven, which is why the food is served very quickly (almost too quickly). The menu is minimal and focuses on a handful of pizzas and a few antipasti. It's quite small inside and the tables are also small. These would be suitable for a café but unfortunately impractical for a pizzeria. Even though the pizzas were very tasty, the prices are high.

Mega delicious pizzas! I haven't had such great pizzas in a long time. Very comfortable and very nice staff.

Unfortunately, the Marina and Buffalina pizzas were disappointing across the board. The raw tomato sauce and the soggy dough in the middle resulted in an unappetizing result, both visually and in terms of taste. The selection of pizzas was very limited. The drinks weren't convincing either, although the price of over €5 for 0.5 liters of water seemed disproportionately high. Overall, a sobering experience that offers little reason to return.

Sweet little shop. Very inconspicuous from the outside. There are only a few tables in the dining room, but in the summer you can also sit temporarily outside. The service is friendly, open-minded and very helpful. The pizzas are great. This is exactly how pizza should be. Thin base, fluffy edge and sparingly topped with good ingredients. Not greasy at all and not mushy either.

We got a spot spontaneously. That was extremely attentive and friendly. And it was worth it. Super tasty pizza. It is important to know that the dough is very soft. One of the coziest locations for a pizza evening. So: good glass of wine, good pizza, very fresh tomato salad.

The ambience is very nice and the pizza is particularly tasty. There are a few small areas of improvement, but nothing serious that would stop you from going.

Very nice restaurant on Isenbergplatz. 60 seconds can't keep up with the quality of the individual components of the pizza. I'd love to come back more often! Everything was top and great staff.

Unfortunately it was a failure and some of the tasteless pizzas we've ever had. The ingredients themselves aren't bad, but everything tastes incredibly bland because nothing was seasoned (not even oregano in the tomato sauce or a pinch of salt?). This meant you could taste every burnt spot (see other comments). Waiters hardly cared and had to be actively called (see other comments). And selling water for €6, which is probably filled from the tap into a bottle (without a logo) (also questionable in terms of hygiene) is a bit cheeky. Unfortunately the conclusion is: very, very expensive for no taste...

Great pizza, really tasty...but the waitress or saleswoman at the checkout seems overwhelmed or unprofessional and unfriendly.

The pizzas were large, the dough in the middle was thin and soggy due to the heavy topping. The covering could have been smaller and more evenly distributed. The drinks were disproportionately expensive, I think €9 for 1l of sodastream water is unreasonable.

The food was delicious and the service was very friendly, but the benches outside are not very comfortable to sit on because you always have the feeling that they are about to break apart.

Service is a foreign word. Pizza was okay but I don't wait 70 minutes for it. As a reminder, a Neapolitan pizza takes about 3 to 4 minutes to prepare.

The Napoli pizza here is really outstanding! The price is reasonable and the portions are generous. The taste is simply great. The only downside is that the restaurant is a bit cramped. Nevertheless, a visit is definitely worth it because of the excellent pizza

First and unpleasant experience. We had their special pizza takeaway and were very dissatisfied when we got home. The potato slices were uncooked, the overall taste was really mediocre, even tasteless. The pizza box was dirty on the outside. How could this place get 4.6 stars? Disappointing

Unfortunately, I can't share the positive reviews here - at least in terms of the food, which remains my main criterion for a restaurant. Both of our pizzas had typical burnt blisters, which isn't actually a bad thing, but I tasted that burnt in every bite. We also had a pizza with potatoes and the potatoes were probably not completely cooked either (that could be intentional - but it was Overall impression diminished even more). The location and the atmosphere are good, but since I eat at 60 seconds and they also have burnt bubbles on the pizza that I can't taste here, that makes the contrast even stronger. I don't know if that was the day's performance or if we'll have to deal with the dough again, but we probably won't visit this pizzeria again, even though it's so close, which is a shame :(

Well...it was okay but nothing more. 10-15€ for a pizza that has almost no toppings, or one without cheese...so dough with tomato sauce...you can do that. But you don't have to. In my opinion, too much hype about nothing. The store as a whole is also very narrow, loud and busy. I love going to a small, fine trattoria and leaving my money there.

Die Pizza bei Nola ist wirklich lecker bei einer großzügigen Portion. Die leckeren Zutaten rechtfertigen den etwas höheren Preis. Aktuell ist Inflation in den Pizzerien sowieso Krise. Schon bei der Tomatensauce merkt man einen Unterschied und auch der Rand der Pizza ist lecker und knusprig. Ich hatte The Grand Burrata Hotel gewählt und freue mich darauf nächstes Mal Sami Deluxe zu probieren. Die Burrata war übel lecker! Nola bietet aktuell meiner Meinung nach die beste Neapolitanische Pizza in der südlichen Umgebung von Essen. Keine Pizzeria für jeden Tag, aber mit Freunden oder Familie für einen schönen Abend optimal. Ein Punkt Abzug bei Ambiente, weil es Basic ist von der Einrichtung. Moos und Astrid Lindgren? Moos ist sowieso aktuell ein sehr beliebtes Thema.

Uns hat alles wirklich sehr geschmeckt. Mal etwas andere und super leckere Pizzabeläge und auch die Vorspeisen waren geschmacklich sehr gut. Das Lokal ist eher klein, dadurch aber auch gemütlich. Früh da sein lohnt sich, da keine Reservierungen entgegengenommen werden.

So eine leckere Pizza hatte ich schon lange nicht mehr 😊. Einfach genial. Der Boden sehr dünn und mit ausgesprochen leckeren Sachen belegt und der Rand einfach super. Es war ein tolles Erlebnis. Und dazu die selbstgemachten Limos, so fantastisch. Hier werde ich auf jeden Fall wieder herkommen. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm. Es war rundum ein wirklich tolles Erlebnis. Vielen Dank dafür ☺️

Beliebtes Restaurant, es werden keine Reservierungen angenommen. Stattdessen meldet man sich an der Theke, hinterlässt eine Telefonnummer und wird angerufen, wenn ein passender Tisch frei wird. Das hat für uns 45 Minuten vor der Tür gedauert. Innen ist es voll, laut und eng gedrängt, aber auch irgendwie ganz nett. Service war okay. Die frisch angemischte Grapefruit-Limonade schmeckt sehr verdächtig nach dem Sirup von SodaStream, kommt aus dem Trinkwassersprudler und ist mit 4,50€ teuer. Die Pizzen ließen dann auch auf sich warten und waren kalt. Geschmacklich waren die Pizzen solide, der Teig lecker, schön dünn und hatte eine leckere Kruste. Der Belag war ziemlich feucht und ließ den Boden matschig werden. Satt waren wir nach unseren Pizzen jedoch nicht. Fazit: Einigermaßen leckere Pizza, jedoch ist der Hype ebenso wie die Preise für uns nicht nachzuvollziehen.

Die Beste neapolitanische Pizza die ich bis jetzt gegessen habe. Der Teig, die Soße, der Käse und die verschiedenen Toppings schreien einfach nur nach Qualität. Vor allem die Tomatensoße ist unglaublich und nicht vergleichbar. Preislich ist es fair. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Restaurant ist etwas klein was an Wochenenden dafür sorgen kann das es sehr voll ist und man keinen Platz bekommt. Jedoch bieten die Servicekräfte an das man seine Nummer bei ihnen lassen kann und man wird angerufen sobald ein platz frei werde. Dies dauert generell nicht sehr lange und man kann in der Zeit einen kleinen Spaziergang durch die Gegend machen oder einen Kaffee trinken gehen.
