As soon as we arrived, we noticed the very Italian atmosphere, which is always a plus for us Italians abroad. Very friendly staff, very reasonable prices for German standards, and very good pizza.

The pizzeria La Tombola in Essen-Werden is a complete discovery for me – and that's saying something, because I've tried countless pizzas. But this is definitely the best pizza I've had in decades! The crust is perfect: crispy on the outside, light and flavorful on the inside. The toppings are fresh, made with high-quality ingredients, and simply exactly how a real pizza should be. The ambiance is also very pleasant – cozy, informal, and welcoming. You immediately notice that the work here is done with passion. The service is attentive and friendly, making you feel completely at home. One thing is clear to me: If you want to eat pizza in Essen-Werden, you can't miss La Tombola. Absolutely recommended, and from now on, my number 1 pizza spot! 🍕✨

The best and most authentic pizza I've ever eaten. It's a shame the place is so small, so you can't sit there with the whole family, but I think that's what makes it so unique. The staff are super friendly, and you feel very comfortable.

Update: Ordered again today and was very satisfied :-) See you next time. I pre-ordered today and received a severely burnt pizza, which I unfortunately didn't notice until I got home. I think it's a disgrace to package something like that and foist it on the customer.

The best pizza in the whole area 👍🏽

The pizza selection is very large and offers far more than the usual standard. There are also seasonal specials on the daily menu. So far, all the pizzas and salads have been excellent, and the service has always been friendly. You can sit and eat at high tables on site, but it's not a restaurant (i.e., no restrooms). No delivery, but you can pick up after ordering by phone without long waits.

Really good, crispy pizza. Good crust and tasty toppings. The service was friendly but a bit overwhelmed. But eventually, they got their act together, and things moved along quickly. If you want a really good pizza to go, this is the place to go.

Truly amazing! If you want to eat authentic Italian pizza in North Rhine-Westphalia, you absolutely have to go here. A small, unassuming shop in the middle of Essen-Werner. Top quality and delicious!

They're supposed to have the best pizza there? That's a joke! The boss is unfriendly and very impatient, just like his employees. For me personally, it wasn't anything special. You can save yourself the trip and the money.

The tombola makes, without a doubt, the best pizza in Werden, maybe even in Essen. You can also sit there, but there are very few seats, it's meant for takeaway. I love this store!

One of the few good Italian pizzerias in all of North Rhine-Westphalia. Good quality ingredients, perfect preparation, great price! Mozzarella, thin and crispy base, rich topping, etc. Mamma mia.. Gusto nella perfection! The only drawback: there isn't much space in the restaurant. And yet I would always want to give this 3 stars more than possible! Keep it up!

Don't be put off by the size of the store. It is designed more as a “to-go restaurant”, but you can also eat on site. In terms of taste, it is definitely the best pizzeria in Essen, if not in the entire Ruhr area. The team is always very nice and friendly. Price/performance is really right here. Many expensive pizzerias in Rüttenscheid can get a big slice of pizza here! We recommend!

"Bella Italia originale" findet man hier bei den Cofanos! Es gibt zwar Hocker, aber es ist eine klassische Stehpizzeria mit dem BESTEN Streetfood der alten italienischen Schule. Originalzutaten der besten Güte (kein Gouda etc) und man findet nirgends in der Stadt eine bessere Pizza, wie ich es sehe. Dazu Preise, die sich mehr als sehen lassen können, denn die Inflation hat hier über die ganze Zeit nicht mehr als 1€ Aufschlag pro Pizza erlangt.

Immer wieder gerne bei einem Besuch am See. Leider soooo weit weg, ansonsten wären wir öfter hier. Danke für die tolle Pizza 🍕😻👍

Es gibt genau 3 Anlaufstellen für gute Pizza im Essener Süden. La Tombola Officina Bredeney Noola in Süd La Tombola ist lässig, preislich unschlagbar, lecker und irgendwie durch viele Studenten und entspannte Menschen total lebendig. Just Pizza. Puristisch. Gekonnt.

Als ich aus meinem Italien Urlaub wieder kam, bekam ich Appetit auf Pizza. Da ich nur für eine Weiterbildung in Essen bin, habe ich dieser Pizzeria eine Chance gegeben und wurde nicht entteucht. Die Pizzen schmecken sehr gut, so dass ich zwei mal hier her gekommen bin. Man sollte sie auf jedesmal probieren.

Für mich persönlich schmeckt die Pizza sehr sehr gut.ich kann La Tombola wirklich sehr empfehlen.

Ich bzw wir fahren extra aus der Essener City nach Werden um dort eine Pizza zu genießen. Ein älterer Herr,wo keine anständige Begrüßung stattfindet und dann noch in unsere Windrichtung raucht. Ok, die Außengastronomie gibt es vielleicht nicht her,dann sollte man aber anstand und Service/Geist besitzen es zu unterlassen!! Dies war unser letzter Besuch in diesem Laden.

Real Italian pizza, one of the best I’ve ever had outside of Italy. Prices are good and the workers are friendly and nice.

Wir waren am Montag auf Empfehlung dort. Kurze Wartezeit von 8-10 Minuten bis die Pizzen fertig waren. Super lecker, mit dünnem knusprigen Teig. Der Preis is unschlagbar und die Mitarbeiter und Eigentümer sehr nett und locker im Umgang.

Wir haben immer dort Pizza geholt und sie sind einfach gut 👍 auch die Qualität war bei uns immer gleich gut.

Über viele Jahre nur gute Erfahrungen machen können! Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wirklich einer der besten Pizzen die man hier im Ruhrgebiet kaufen kann. Es ist halt ein kleiner Laden deswegen gibts leider keine volle Punktzahl. Aber das heißt nicht das es dort nicht gemütlich ist. Hervorragendes Essen und sehr nette Mitarbeiter!

Kleiner aber feiner Laden. Es gibt nur eine kleine Auswahl an Gerichten, wenn man sich im Vergleich andere Pizzarien anschaut. Aber diese wenigen Pizzen sind dafür umso besser!

Eine der leckersten und günstigsten Pizzas, die ich je aß. Leute sind echt korrekt und lässig, Pizza ist binnen Minuten fertig. Getränke gibt's aus einem Kühlschrank. Wenige Sitzplätze aber genau das macht es aus, den Charme, das Ambiente. Wie in Italien. Sehr zu empfehlen! Grazie! Ralf und Percilla
