Delicious sushi! First, the sushi is very unique in my opinion, and second, it's large. I ordered six different types of sushi and couldn't pick a clear favorite; they were all incredibly tasty. I can definitely recommend it.

We were looking for a sushi restaurant in Germany with delicious sushi. We came across KOYA. Extremely delicious😍A large selection, a beautiful restaurant and friendly staff. Among the favorites is also the baked sushi dog🥰😍

We waited almost two hours for our food – it was just soup. This is our second order, and both times it took almost two hours. It's incredibly frustrating, and there was no apology. P.S.: After a subsequent apology, the PayPal payment was fully refunded, which was very kind of them.

There are rolls that simply satisfy hunger, and there are those that evoke emotions. This is exactly the second case! And this is the moment when the price fully corresponds to the quality. Now this is my favorite not only in the city of Essen and not only in the NRW, but in all of Germany! I recommend it to everyone who is tired of mediocrity.

This is a new place, and we usually take it home. The sushi is delicious and juicy, just the way we like it. :)

The food is excellent, but one employee was incredibly rude. When I accidentally spoke German quickly, he laughed in my face and asked, "Why not Ukrainian?" He then spoke in a strained tone and claimed they wouldn't process my order because I had written my name in Latin script on the order form and they couldn't read the font, and because I hadn't provided a phone number. The website provides no information about which fields are mandatory for ordering, nor does it specify the font for personal information. Improve your customer service! All the employees who have served me so far have been excellent, but this one left a really bad impression of Koya Sushi, especially since employees also shape a company's image.

We pre-ordered the food for 6:30 pm and it was delivered on time. The packaging was very high-quality and clean. A big plus for the ample amount of soy sauce, ginger, wasabi, and chopsticks! Very generous, even though we hadn't ordered anything extra. We especially loved the fried sushi, which was wonderfully crispy despite being delivered! The quality was really good. Of course, every roll is a matter of personal taste. For example, I found there was too much cream cheese in some places, but my husband thought it was just right. I wouldn't call it premium, but it was perfectly satisfactory for a delivery service. We enjoyed it and will order again 😊

The order was ready on time, the packaging is stylish and convenient to carry. The sushi is incredibly delicious, fresh, with high-quality fish and perfectly cooked rice. 6/10 Photos promise much more than you actually get. Rolls fall apart, not enough fish. The only good thing is the way they’re arranged in the box. You can’t sit inside, just takeaway or delivery.

The sushi was really tasty.. But if you want to order sushi in the evening and are very hungry, then expect that your order can be canceled at any time (during working hours), without explanation. This was the third and last straw, I don't want to deal with this restaurant anymore. Because service is not their strong point. I hope this review will be useful to someone. Regarding the canceled order, this is the second time I have had such an experience when ordering with delivery. The first unpleasant bell was when I ordered two sets of sushi with shrimp, but in my order for some reason I received one set with fish, which I don't eat... I didn't receive an apology from the restaurant, but I did receive a refund, thank you for that. It would be good if the restaurant worked on the service.

We ordered sushi, it was very tasty, but the service was 0. My husband came to pick it up, politely addressed the employee, in response there was rudeness and informality! We have never encountered that they do not accept 200€, but this is not scary, you can change it, but with what tone and facial expression it was said, there was no desire to take those sushi! I understand that in Europe the service is at a low level, you also prove it perfectly. The impression of the service is bad.

Unfortunately, I was very dissatisfied with the service. I made an order in advance, the delivery was scheduled for 20:30. I was at the entrance to the pizzeria, the place is easy to find. But no one came. At 20:40 I wrote on Instagram - no answer. 10 minutes later - silence again. I tried to call - no luck. Only at 21:05 (!) they called me and said that the courier allegedly "could not find me" and that their "correspondence disappeared" - although my messages and calls were read. I had to cancel the order, since there was no way to wait any longer. In return - no compensation, apology or discount.

Today I ordered sushi for two adults and a child. I ordered three different rolls and one dessert (chocolate with strawberries and banana) The rolls are huge, there is a lot of filling, everything is fresh and very tasty. My husband is not a fan of sushi, but when he tried this, he really liked it. I am delighted. This is the best sushi in Essen 🥰 Everyone is happy and full. They are very filling and look very appetizing. I ate and my eyes are full. I want more 🤤 Thank you for being there 🫶

We ordered through Lieferando. The pictures are impressive. We waited a little over an hour for the delivery, which is fine. I liked that the sushi was less seasoned than usual. The sauce and pink ginger were therefore very good and tasty. We ordered the set. It was actually enough for two people, but we wanted to try the advertised Double Fire. The delivery didn't match the menu and the accompanying picture. See photos. The menu states that the sushi comes without rice! It came with rice, and the fish wasn't really raw. In the photo, the tuna and salmon are completely raw. The tuna was already cooked on the outside. It wasn't seasoned at all. Oh well, I was lenient with my review. The price is still right. I enjoyed the set. P.S. There was a follow-up or replacement delivery of the Double Fire dish today. It was eaten immediately. 100 points. Very tasty. Thank you 😊

Premium? Just from the looks... The taste is by no means premium. Not recommended for the price. 3 stars for the taste, definitely not more. Considering the ridiculous price, it's more like 2. The rice is poorly seasoned, not at all, and very tightly rolled. It has to be, because the rolls are really large – not bite-sized. As a man, I should have had cutlery to cut the pieces in half. It was also much too heavy due to the size and not easy to eat with chopsticks. The best roll, in my opinion, was made with chicken instead of fish. But it didn't have much to do with sushi. That's probably due to the fusion cuisine style. Still, it was really disappointing for the price. What's strange here are the many very good reviews from our Ukrainian and Russian neighbors. Unfortunately, I was blinded by the appearance of the rolls and the reviews. Guys... if you want better sushi, go to Eat Happy at Rewe or Edeka. The amount of fish might be a bit smaller, but it's significantly cheaper, and the rice is significantly better. The ingredients are just as fresh, and the quality isn't noticeable, if not better.
