Unfortunately, I was very dissatisfied with the service. I made an order in advance, the delivery was scheduled for 20:30. I was at the entrance to the pizzeria, the place is easy to find. But no one came. At 20:40 I wrote on Instagram - no answer. 10 minutes later - silence again. I tried to call - no luck. Only at 21:05 (!) they called me and said that the courier allegedly "could not find me" and that their "correspondence disappeared" - although my messages and calls were read. I had to cancel the order, since there was no way to wait any longer. In return - no compensation, apology or discount.

The day was a success. Nature, pleasant company and sushi perfectly complemented the atmosphere. Everyone liked it, very tasty, thank you🤗

Today I ordered sushi for two adults and a child. I ordered three different rolls and one dessert (chocolate with strawberries and banana) The rolls are huge, there is a lot of filling, everything is fresh and very tasty. My husband is not a fan of sushi, but when he tried this, he really liked it. I am delighted. This is the best sushi in Essen 🥰 Everyone is happy and full. We ordered through Lieferando. The pictures are impressive. We waited a little over an hour for the delivery, which is fine. I liked that the sushi was less seasoned than usual. The sauce and pink ginger were therefore very good and tasty. We ordered the set. It was actually enough for two people, but we wanted to try the advertised Double Fire. The delivery didn't match the menu and the accompanying picture. See photos. The menu states that the sushi comes without rice! It came with rice, and the fish wasn't really raw. In the photo, the tuna and salmon are completely raw. The tuna was already cooked on the outside. It wasn't seasoned at all. Oh well, I was lenient with my review. The price is still right. I enjoyed the set. P.S. There was a follow-up or replacement delivery of the Double Fire dish today. It was eaten immediately. 100 points. Very tasty. Thank you 😊

Premium? Just from the looks... The taste is by no means premium. Not recommended for the price. 3 stars for the taste, definitely not more. Considering the ridiculous price, it's more like 2. The rice is poorly seasoned, not at all, and very tightly rolled. It has to be, because the rolls are really large – not bite-sized. As a man, I should have had cutlery to cut the pieces in half. It was also much too heavy due to the size and not easy to eat with chopsticks. The best roll, in my opinion, was made with chicken instead of fish. But it didn't have much to do with sushi. That's probably due to the fusion cuisine style. Still, it was really disappointing for the price. What's strange here are the many very good reviews from our Ukrainian and Russian neighbors. Unfortunately, I was blinded by the appearance of the rolls and the reviews. Guys... if you want better sushi, go to Eat Happy at Rewe or Edeka. The amount of fish might be a bit smaller, but it's significantly cheaper, and the rice is significantly better. The ingredients are just as fresh, and the quality isn't noticeable, if not better.

I recently bought food at Koya, and I have to say the sushi was truly delicious. Fresh ingredients, well-prepared – a great culinary experience. However, I had a rather strange experience afterward: I received a call asking me to delete my wifes review because the restaurant is Ukrainian and "wants nothing to do with Russia." This statement struck me as problematic for several reasons. First, a review should reflect the food and service – not the owners’ nationality. Second, it is troubling that a political stance is linked to a request to remove an review. Third, contacting guests afterward to influence their opinions is, in itself, questionable. Germany is a diverse country, home to people from all over the world. National identity should never be used as a reason to distance oneself from an entire culture or group of people. I am reviewing the restaurant – not the nationality or political views of its owners. And that should remain the focus. If you want to avoid calls with political messages, it's best to steer clear of Koya. Food should be a culinary experience – not a political discussion. The fact that a restaurant contacts guests afterward to influence their words is more than questionable.

The owners of the establishment are disgusting people, there is nothing humane left in them. I do not recommend visiting this establishment!

Terrible attitude towards customers, having learned that I was Russian - the restaurant called and asked to delete the GOOD review I had previously left for them here, in which I mentioned “I recommend visiting if you miss Russian rolls.” It's a disgrace, guys (the owners are Ukrainians). To be honest, my children repeatedly order sushi, everything was always fine, and for the second time in a row the avocado was cut as if from a tod ax, and when the children asked to replace the avocado with cucumber, they didn’t do it. Next time I’ll collect the avocado, bring it and weigh it and see how much deception is going on, we’re disappointed in you. They didn't put down their chopsticks.

I was staying privately in a hotel and didn't want to go big anymore. I noticed Kayo on Instagram, so I ordered via Lieferando and was more than pleasantly surprised. From the packaging to the sushi, everything was perfectly presented and reminded me of a presentation in Dubai. I rarely see such quality in Germany and I am thrilled. The day before I went for sushi somewhere else, but it didn't come close to Kayo. Kayo is more than just an insider tip. I recommend it unreservedly and look forward to my next visit to the city. Please stay delicious and keep everything as it is. Please note the slightly longer waiting time, because good sushi takes time. Great ingredients and great implementation. Thanks so much!

So the food was really tasty, the sushi was huge and well filled, you can't say anything bad about that. But when it comes to organization... You can't rely on the company. My address is not included in the delivery and we took a tour to Essen for the sushi, but suddenly we couldn't pick it up ourselves that day and the fried sushi was no longer on offer. I have no idea how long this will last and why. Last time no chopsticks were included, which left an unpleasant impression. The opening times are also inconvenient for those who come to Essen specifically for the sushi, to have a picnic with the tastiest sushi.

Ich habe je ein Set Green Forest und Sea Ocean bestellt. Die Lieferzeit war voll in Ordnung und das Sushi selbst - frisch, lecker und echt japanisch (nicht aus dem Kühlregal). Hausgemachte Soja Sauce ist nicht so salzig wie aus der Flasche und viel leckerer. Das Gleiche betrifft auch Wasabi und Ingwer. Das Besteck und die Verpackung sehen wirklich edel aus. Die beste Entscheidung für ein sattiges, leichtes und gesundes Abendessen. Eindeutige Weiterempfehlung!

Wir haben über Lieferando bestellt - einen Moment hat uns der Preis erschreckt, aber hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Lieferung innerhalb von 40 Minuten - toll angerichtet (Bilder sind ja schon zur Genüge vorhanden und es sieht wirklich so aus). Auch die Suppen waren sehr lecker! Rundum zufrieden.
