The food was delicious (we had Ramen and Gyozas) and the service was really good. We arrived around 12 and there was no queue!

We had to eat at the bar but it was totally worthy, because we could see how they cooked. I loved it so much! They also have a very clever system (they give you the menu while you are queuing and they take your order in advance, then you get in whenever table is free and you pay before seating). Therefore, the time inside is really efficient, no more waiting for the waiter to come with the ticket and pay, etc. Food was delicious, employees friendly, they spoke several languages... You cannot ask for more

Have to wait 20 minutes outside the door, okay. Still need to order outside??? Pay before eating - I don't think that's possible!!! There were four of us and one had to pay for everyone. Single payment was not accepted. Ramen is tasty but not so good that I let myself be bullied as a guest. Once and not again. There are plenty of good ramen in Düsseldorf.

We had the Wantan and Tantan ramen. They were both incredible! Would highly recommend. The sake was also fairly cheap.

Había una larga cola ya en este momento, pero tenían calentadores y bancos mientras esperabas. También te dan menús para ver y ordenar antes de entrar. ¡Fantástica idea! La comida era muy sabrosa y agradable. Lo recomendaría, claramente es un lugar popular.

Everything started well, we were looking for a restaurant late (already after 9 p.m.) and we were welcomed by Naniwa. The first problem is that no one warned us that the restaurant closed at 9:30 p.m. and kicked out customers at 10 p.m. sharp. As a result we ordered, the dishes were good and at a very reasonable quality/quantity price ratio (without being extraordinary but quality), on the other hand when the waiter brings you without politeness or even apology the payment terminal in the middle of the meal, forces you to put down your chopsticks to pay because apparently that's normal, then kicks you out at 10 p.m. sharp because it's closing time, when you haven't even finished, it's really unpleasant. Too bad because it spoils the experience and a little communication and better manners would have avoided this review. Probably a better experience arriving at 7 p.m.

The place is really nice, the service is well managed and quick! Mostly there’s waiting but the wait is not so long. Good experience to get a taste of nice Japanese food.

We had to wait around 20min to get in but it was worth waiting. We have ordered Ramen and Gyoza and Kimchi. All orders were delicious 👌🏼 The ambience was very similar to the ones in Japan 🇯🇵. The service was quick and friendly like all Japanese ramen 🍜 restaurants:)

Super tasty & plentiful. However, hardly suitable for vegetarians and very much with pork.

The dishes are really excellent, especially the yakiso noodles. Starters such as teriyaki chicken or shrimp are also recommended. It's cozy inside and not too crowded. You have to wait outside for a long time, but at least you have somewhere to sit and get the menu to order. You pay when you enter the restaurant.

We have gone twice. The first, recommended by our hotel, then seeing a 4.5 on Google, we didn't think about it. The experience was so good that we returned a second time. Wonderful that you don't have to make a reservation, everything and that you wait outside. But, the wait is short, especially if you don't mind eating at the bar. A highly recommended experience, the bar included since you see the good coordination they have. Friendly staff, very diligent, super competitive price even though they make you pay before serving. Pay calmly, the Naniwa is worth the money. I wish we had places like this in Barcelona.

Had Mix of Asian food.. Kimchi (Korean)..Sake(Japanese)..Gyoza(Chinese) and Ramen with tender chicken!! Place is Tiny & cozy. Waiting in queue is a must..so be prepared.. Service is good.

We decided to have lunch at this place after reading the very good reviews and I must say that the food was actually excellent. There are both vegetarian options (although in small quantities - too bad there were no vegetable ravioli, otherwise I would have gladly tried them) and omnivorous options and in both cases we were very satisfied. The place is small but welcoming and the tables have a view directly onto the kitchen. The staff are friendly and helpful, although they don't speak English so it's not very easy to communicate if you don't speak German. The dishes are very abundant and the prices are in line with the quantity and quality of the products. Finally we were informed that it is ONLY possible to pay by card. We do not recommend purchasing water as it is very expensive (€5 for 500ml).

Simply the best! We have been visiting NaNiWa for well over 20 years. The base of the soups, a rich broth, was always prepared at the lecture. The cuisine was so authentically Japanese that the kitchen team of a former Japanese restaurant, including the owner, came here to eat on their day off. Recent experiences at NaNiWa show that this high quality standard has been abandoned. When the service asked why the soup tasted like dishwater and bland, they admitted that there were too many guests. Consequently, the existing broth was stretched to the most extreme. When asked by friends, this sad assessment is confirmed. 2nd attempt: 02/19/19 The Buta Sara and the Buta Kimchi were very good. The first dish tastes mildly salty, the second dish has a strong, spicy flavor. The Chashu Stamina (Sutamina) we ordered was heavily seasoned with garlic and chilli to cover up the missing umami. It's a shame, the broth was loose and stretched in the base again. November 26, 2023 Back for Good After years of abstinence, one can only acknowledge with full recognition that one has learned from previous mistakes and that the soups (Chashu Stamina and Chashu Tokusei Miso) taste richer again. The 5-minute egg used to cost nothing here, which is of course not up to date. It cost 1 EUR for a while and is now estimated at 2.30 EUR. Demeter egg? Well, who knows? At Mynoodlehouse 2 blocks away you can still get it for 1 EUR. Thank you for the very good and tasteful event. Great noodles and soup bar. Very close to authebtic japanese food. Every time i visit the city i come here to eat lunch or dinner. Staf is very kind and helpful. Service is fast and professional. Definately recomend

great food! food and drinks were served very quickly. we visited on a Sunday, and had to wait in line for almost an hour due to technical issues. 15 minutes before they opened, they handed out the menu so we could order in advance. once we entered the restaurant, we had to pay upfront, which i thought was time-efficient.

I haven't eaten ramen, but the gyoza🥟 and stir-fried vegetables were delicious, so I think ramen is also delicious.I want to try ramen next time.

Food is tasty here, but the service is really the worst and most bizarre experience I have ever experienced, hence 1 star. After waiting in line for a while, we had to pay for our order in advance. That in itself is not a problem, but while eating we discovered that they had seized 1 onigiri that we had not ordered. We indicated this immediately and at the end we asked for our money back. The amount involved was €3.50. The employee apparently did not want to reverse the amount and asked us if we did not want to give the €3.50 as a tip. We are not concerned with the 3.50 but with the principle that they made a mistake and did not even apologize. When we said no, he said “that is the reason why we don't like people from the Netherlands, because they don't give tips”. He also continued by saying “you have to learn how to eat outside”. I have no words for this. For the employee in question: you have to learn manners! Tips are based on service and you are rude and lazy. I have never experienced such a rude person, that such people are hired for the catering industry. Very unfortunate, because I used to eat here often when I came to Düsseldorf. You will never see us again and I will tell all Dutch people never to come here again because yes “this is the reason you don't like people from the Netherlands”. Ridiculous! How can you expect a tip if you have to pay in advance and with such employees who ridicule customers for €3.50...

Food is really good. But you are expected to pay upfront and the staff is awkward with regard to tipping. They put more on the receipt then what was ordered. During the correction they wanted to charge it as tip saying “normally this is mandatory in Germany”. Also some insults from the staff about Dutch people not tipping. This was extra reason to not give tip due to bad behaviour and insulting.

The food is good but the service is not professional. They rush guests to order and pay first before eating. They really want you to leave as soon as possible. It's rude.

Very, very, VERY slow, inattentive service. They completely forget about you and want to get rid of you as fast as possible. Additionally, you must pay before even being allowed to put an order in. Insane. They have no idea how to handle customers in a competent or professional manner. Food is just ok. Better options in the area. Not worth it.

ordered the tan tan miso if i remember the name correctly. found the broth a bit too salty. ordered double portion of the meat and they were real generous with it! all in all it was pretty good

The restaurant was packed today. When the outside temperature was 4 degrees, we were offered a table with a heater outside. We were a bit skeptical, but it was quite comfortable to sit there thanks to the spotlights. The food was, as always, super delicious. The service was very nice and accommodating. Naniwa is highly recommended for ramen.

I absolutely loved my visit to Naniwa! The food was really incredibly tasty – I particularly enjoyed the miso soup. You can tell that emphasis is placed on quality and authentic preparation here. The price-performance ratio is simply unbeatable: the fresh ingredients and the loving presentation are definitely worth the wait. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is friendly. An absolute tip for everyone who loves Japanese cuisine!

The Ramen is a traditional taste. Personally liked Kimuchi with rice. May not to worth to wait for too long time. But if you can sit soon, then here is recommend

Great restaurant with very friendly staff and incredibly delicious food. We were lucky today and got a spot straight away, but if you have to wait here (the shop isn't huge), then I have to say it's worth the wait. In addition to the good quality of the food, the price is also completely reasonable. I had the Tanmen and I have to say it was one of the best ramens for me. Really spicy and rich. The meat is also tender and the noodles are on point. So the starter is the fried gyoza, also super tasty and an absolute recommendation!

It's a shame that we stood in line, there was an expectation that there would be delicious food. So disappointing! We ordered a variety of dishes, there was not one good dish! Only the beer. Onigiri came with hot rice, ramen with bad taste. Noodles with the taste of the past. unnecessary falcon. Maybe only the locals like it.

Delicious food at reasonable prices, friendly service - but unfortunately the seating is super cramped because the tables are practically right next to each other. 1 star deducted for that.

I give 2 stars because the sushi had some good taste, but I had a hair in my food and the gentleman did nothing with it. Now a bit of hospitality is appropriate to say that it is on the house. The gentleman was quite arrogant. Too bad, never again!

Had to wait in line for almost an hour because the restaurant inside is very small, just a few tables and a bar counter. Kimchi ramen (stamina) was delicious, curry ramen was nothing special, and tasted like curry brick from the supermarket. The extra meat portion is cheap and 200% worth it. The waiters were ok, friendly and fast, but the preparation time was longer than usual.

We eat here very often It shouldn't be seen as a conventional restaurant, but rather as a bistro. The Japanese food is very good. Ramen (noodle soup), starters (wakame and gyoza etc.) are sensationally good. I rarely give 5 stars. Here they are absolutely justified.

Stamina Ramen with Kimchi No matter when you eat it, it’s spicy, refreshing, and so delicious. I added vegetables (free) and my husband added meat. The grilled dumplings were also very delicious. The line is always long When the weather is nice and there are outdoor tables It decreases quickly

I have been a guest at Naniwa for 30 years, I love this Japanese restaurant and its noodle soups. It's nice to see that the main chef, who trained at Naniwa years ago, is now passing on his knowledge to a young chef 😉. In this way, the quality of the soups traditionally lives on.

Everything great. Despite the long queue outside, you could get in pretty quickly. The food was a very good size and delicious! The price is also absolutely right. Totally recommended!

I was very lucky to get a seat so quickly here. The first two times I walked by, there was an immense lineup of people waiting for a seat in the cozy and aromatic restaurant. During my wait (during Sunday lunchtime), one of the waitresses came by with menus while my friends and I ordered, setting us up for a quicker experience inside (effective and easier on both parties). Once inside, I was rewarded with beautiful smells, a clean and crisp interior, and very welcoming staff. I was placed at the bar that overlooked the chefs, who were so busy, yet very clean and precise. Finally, being able to enjoy Naniwa, I rewarded myself with a nice big order; miso soup, fried dumplings, and a big order of kimchi ramen. It was all very phenomenal and wonderfully made. I've tried out a few noodlehouses from all over Europe and North America, and I can honestly say this is probably my favourite. Rich broth, excellent chewy noodles, melting pork, supple gyoza, and the perfect beer to go with it all. I look forward to coming back. Itadakimasu.

Our No.1 Go-To Ramen Restaurant when we are in Düsseldorf. Of all the ramen restaurants, we still like it here the best. Very tasty spicy miso broth with chashu (could be a little more tender, but that's complaining at a high level) and the perfect lava egg. Friendly staff and quick service. The queue can vary depending on the volume, so be patient. :)

Zugegeben, ich bin nicht so der große Ramen Spezialist, aber: Geschmack eher fade, dafür aber eine geballte Ladung Salz, Gemüse zerkocht, schwamm in einer sämigen Art Bratensauce... Vorkasse, nur Kartenzahlung...mir erschloss sich nicht so ganz, warum am Eingang eine so lange Schlange war...

Ordered noodles with chicken, there were 4 small pieces of chicken in it and hardly any vegetables. For €15 I think that is too little. Friendly staff.

A ramen restaurant run by a Japanese owner that is popular with locals. There were long lines both during the day and at night, but since I was alone, I was able to get through to the counter in about 5 minutes. Only prepaid card payments were accepted. The flavor is a special chashu miso recommended by locals. The flavor was quite strong so I left the soup behind. Is the pork shoulder roast? A little hard. I think the noodles here are still delicious. Overall, this ramen is aimed at locals.

In the Naniwa restaurant, the ramen soup almost tastes like it does in Japan - for a restaurant outside of Japan, it's really good. Enjoyed the food (ramen soup) and will definitely come back again. The service was also great - very friendly and attentive. I would be happy to make a recommendation!

Not a day goes by without a queue in front of Naniwa, but rightly so. Very fresh and tasty dishes. The store is located in the middle of the Asian community and is definitely worth a visit.

Great ramens (I recommend tantan or tokusei). But the service is awful (just have a closer look when you are there - the guy at the reception (the SON of the owner of course, otherwise he would be already fired) is laughing behind the back about every single customer), then we had this episode - we arrived and asked the other waiter where we can sit, then sat where he said. The entrance guy asked us to leave to restaurant, since we “didn’t say hi to him at the entrance”. And “the waiter doesn’t have responsibility to tell you where you sit”. So he didn’t ask us to go to another table or wait a bit, he said “you shall LEAVE”. He told us we create problems with the fact we came there. Just because there was a miscommunication and misunderstanding about where we can sit between this entrance guy and the waiter - he was extremely rude to us and asked as to leave. What??? What kind of restaurant it is?? Honestly really good food and I’m very angry we cannot continue to go here anymore because of this person.

I went there alone and had the Tan Tan Men. It was superb!

I was here for the first time with my family on September 13th, 2024. The woman at the checkout was quite rude. We ordered 3 bottles of cola and lunch. I had to take my medication after eating and I briefly drank the water I brought in my backpack. This woman at the checkout warned me that I wasn't allowed to drink water in the restaurant. That was only 2 sips for my medication. To be honest, I found this relationship quite strange. I have no respect for this restaurant and I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

My favorite ramen place in whole Düsseldorf!! After trying some of the so-called best ramen spots in Düsseldorf I truly have to admit Naniwa is superior not only in variety of dishes and flavor but also service is spectacular. No will to make the line? We'll, you'll see that at last it's totally worth it. My suggestions are: gebratene gyoza, stamina ramen, any miso ramen and the dish with rice and egg on top, simple but yet delicious. If I had to improve something in here would be a more varied playlist to set the atmosphere up.

I really liked it, it was delicious without any frills. If you want something new, interesting and unusual with lots of ingredients and various additives, you won’t find it here. I would say an ordinary tasty soup. I know many people like this place, so I can recommend it once. But you won’t try anything new here. 😘🩷

The guy at the reception - whatever his job is, he is very mean and disrespectful. This person and whole place is not oriented to clients at all. If you want anyone to be mean to you, this place is definitely for you. I visited the place with my friends, because the take out food here is very tasty. While joining my friends, the waiter told me to sit on the bench with my friends. Then this disrespectful receptionist waiter literally told me to get out of the restaurant right now, and leave the place immediately, as he ‘did not let me sit’.

Went to Na Ni Wa for the first time on Sunday and was really impressed with the Ramen Stamina. It was incredibly delicious and I can only recommend it to anyone who likes Japanese. Full 5 stars for everything!

Simply delicious. I can hardly imagine that you can get better ramen anywhere else. I had the N7 (Chanpon) with extra chasu and apart from the chasu it also had prawns and squid and all kinds of vegetables and it came to the table really hot. I particularly liked the red ginger which gave the whole thing a very special touch. When I compare all the great ramen shops in Düsseldorf, Naniwa is probably my favorite.

One of the best ramen, I tried so far. I strongly recommend the N10 on the menu. The price are reasonable. The portion sizes are perfect and the service is friendly. The restaurant does not take reservations and you order and pay at the counter.

Tan tan noodles are the best in the universe. As authentic as it gets, you can't fail here. Super flavorful, fair price and the feeling of eating real Asian food.

Very good ramen soup. I'm actually rather skeptical about ramen soup; I once had one in Berlin that I didn't like. Completely different here! The soup was super tasty. I went there on 2 consecutive days, despite the high price. On the first day 1 soup, 1 teriyaki chicken, 2 water, on the second day 2 soups, 1 jasmine tea = a good 37 each. The location is central, the conditions are very well organized and fast, the cleanliness is okay.

The food is good as always, the junior manager is unfortunately very cheeky, arrogant and simply off-putting... the fact that you can't behave appropriately is sometimes a real mystery as to how people get through life like that. Be that as it may, I won't go there anymore. One less regular customer and I will write to the senior again directly that his son is really running the shop down with his arrogance.
