My favorite Indian restaurant in Cologne. Love the chicken korma and butter naan here. I can recommend chicken pakora as a starter. The portions are significantly larger compared to many other Indian restaurants. Service super friendly.

Popped in here before watching a match at the Euros. I was the sole customer due to being early but i was pleasantly surprised at the quality. I ordered a Kharai and a chapati. It was served quickly and there was good size portions. I was also given some free popadoms and dips which was a nice touch considering my small order. The curry was very nice and was filling. I didn’t regret not ordering a starter. Would recommend for a solo traveller who needs to be fuelled on the move 👍👍

Decent Indian food in a simple setting. Came here as it was 1 minute from my hotel. Samosas were great. The Baingan Bharta was a bit creamy for my taste. Many vegetarian options, as you'd expect.

Tasty, quick, good value for money and discreet service, music at a pleasant volume.

Although the whole place looks like it needs a facelift the food is outstanding. Some of the best we’ve eaten around the world. Absolutely delicious. Gutted that I was so full I couldn’t finish my meal and didn’t have the means to take it away with me as we are travelling.

Overall very good food. Very flavorful and surprisingly large portions compared to other Indian restaurants in town. (Warning: Indian food is never cheap, not even here.) Samosas are well filled and the filling is very tasty. Chicken Tikka Massala tasted excellent. Everything fresh. Large selection. Gladly again!

The food was really good. Am from South India, I have tried many Indian restaurants in Cologne but didn't like the taste. But the food provided here is really good.. Finally I found a good restaurant to eat Indian dishes. Service was also nice.

I placed an order with Lieferando, but the delivery time took over an hour. When we called the restaurant, after several attempts, the gentleman simply hung up on us instead of explaining to us where the food was. There was a lack of friendliness. That was definitely the last time!

The food was delicious and special requests could also be made. There was also free papadum and we were asked how much spiciness we wanted. The naan was also very tasty. There could have been a little more sauce. The service was fine. If you're looking for a traditional Indian restaurant in terms of interior design, you're in the wrong place here. The colors of the walls and chairs don't match, there is little decoration, and the light is bright.

Overall the food is good, you need to inform the owner that you need Indian spicy level then you will definitely get the taste what you find in India. Must recommended if you are in colong, close to the Cathedral.

Wir haben über Wolt bestellt. Das Essen war mega schnell ( 30 Minuten vor angegebenen Zeit) da. Es war bomben heiss und wahnsinnig lecker. Alles war top abgeschmeckt, das Hähnchen zart und super frisch. Preislich pro Person mit Vorspeise und Lassi 30 Euro. Macht weiter so!!!

Food was delicious. We odered chicken curry,matar paneer and daal.

Wir haben hier gestern 2 Gerichte mit indischem Brot gegessen und haben selten so leckeres indisches Essen gehabt wie dieses. Das Fleisch (Lamm) war sehr zart und die Soße perfekt gewürzt und zubereitet, nicht zu dick, nicht zu dünn. Wir können dieses Restaurant wärmsten empfehlen und werden definitiv noch mal wieder kommen.

Wir haben gestern hier bestellt. Sehr sehr große Portionen, das Essen war schnell fertig und wirklich lecker und freundlich waren sie auch. Es gibts nichts negatives zu sagen!

Wenn ich die Wahl hätte, würde ich keinen Stern geben. Dieser Ort ist wirklich schlecht für die Bestellung von Essen. Wir haben das Essen um 20:59 Uhr bestellt und uns wurde gesagt, dass das Essen um 22:30 Uhr geliefert wird, aber das Essen kam nicht an, also haben wir das Restaurant angerufen und der Besitzer des Restaurants war unentschuldigt und fing an, mit uns zu streiten, indem er sagte, dass es ihm egal sei, ob wir uns bei Lieferando oder irgendwo anders beschweren und den Anruf unterbrechen. Ein solch unhöfliches und unentschuldigtes Verhalten ist wirklich inakzeptabel. Ich werde in diesem Restaurant nie wieder etwas bestellen. Obwohl wir das Essen nicht erhalten haben, wurde es als geliefert angezeigt. Das Restaurant wurde um 11:00 Uhr geschlossen, so dass wir schlafen mussten, ohne ein ordentliches Abendessen zu bekommen.

We ordered from this restaurant at 9pm and patiently waited till 10:30 pm and the food still didn't arrive we called the restaurant at 10:45 pm as it was going to close at 11:00 pm. The person on the call started talking rudely to us and said first that it will take 1 more hour which made us understand that they had forgot our order. When we protested he said he will send the food in 10 min which wasn’t believable as the they hadn’t prepared the food. When we asked details the waiter rudely said that he is cancelling the order himself and he also without regrets said that you complain wherever you want. We had to sleep hungry that night just because we relied on this stupid restaurant to deliver us food. I really ask anyone to avoid this sham of a place

I ordered via lieferando at 9 pm and at 22:45 i called them that the food has not arrived. The guy speaking was very rude and said that people are patiently waiting for 3 hrs for there food so I should also wait for 1 more hour. When we protested he mentioned that he will send in 10 min which we found to be a sham as they had not even prepared the food. Also when We tried to tell they guy that the service is bad he cancelled the food and said he doesnt care and I can complain anywhere I want. This is the level of carelessness and dignity these guys show towards customers. Will ask everyone to really avoid this place as its a bunch of rude people who tun the show there. Wish I could give the a zero rating.

Amazing Biryani, both Lamb and chicken. Korma was beautifully rich. We 3 ate like royalty for under 100 euros.

Ich hatte das Chicken Tikka Masala. Das Essen war ziemlich durchschnittlich, wie in jedem beliebigen Imbiss auch. Dafür 20€ zu verlangen, finde ich ziemlich dreist. ich hatte mild bestellt, das Essen war aber scharf. Keine Ahnung, ob verwechselt oder ob es hier eine Diskrepanz zwischen "europäisch" und "indisch" mild gibt. Das kann passieren, auch wenn es ärgerlich ist. Die Lieferung war im Rahmen der vorgegebenen Zeit. Ich werde dort nicht nochmal bestellen und es auch explizit niemanden empfehlen. Die Qualität des Essens rechtfertigt absolut nicht diesen Preis, selbst für eine Stadt wie Köln nicht.

Ich habe Essen bestellt und musste einandhalb Stunden darauf warten. Nach bisschen mehr als einer Stunde habe ich angerufen und nachgefragt, mir wurde dann gesagt, dass mein Essen in 5 Minuten da ist. Nach dem Anruf musste ich nochmal 20 minuten warten.

If you're looking for flavor, then go here. As someone quite familiar with the diaspora, nice to finally see something actually authentic.

Great food, great service.....5*. Obviously a top chef who helped choose our meal which turned out to be a highlight of our trip.

We came across this place while looking for a restaurant nearby main station. The place itself is clean and offers lots of seating options. The menu is extensive which is not a good indicator. The order of service was not good as starters and main course was served together, and there was no response on asking the reasons. Anyways the food was salty and not great at all. We tried multiple curries, naan, and biriyani. All with similar taste profiles. I am not sure if I missed the dishes which people claimed to be authentic. Won’t recommend if you’re looking for great experience.

Die Einrichtung ist sehr nüchtern, aber ich habe mich trotzdem recht wohl gefühlt. Ich hatte ein vegetarisches Essen, das sehr lecker war. Die Speisen wurden zügig serviert und waren sehr heiß. Ein gelungenes Geburtstagsessen. 🙂

I visited twice while I was in Köln during Easter holidays in April this year. Location: Walkable distance to Köln hauptbanhof. Environment: quite and good. Food: Great with food quality and quantity Price: Above average and bit pricey. Service: Friendly and considerate in my case.

Nummer 97. Lammfleisch Speisen schmeckte sehr köstlich. Das Fleisch war großzügig, sanft und perfekt gewürzt. Man sollte für Trinkgeld Bar haben. Tip top Indian restaurant!

Geht wirklich nicht!! Ich habe über lieferando von Namaste Restaurant essen bestellt. Nach 75 min rief ich den Resturant an, und frage wo mein Essen ist? Der Resturant Mitarbeiter sagte, der liefer wäre vor die Tür. Ich rief nach 15 min erneut an, sagte der Mitarbeiter das Lieferer im Stau steht. Es sind über 2 Stunden vergangen. Das Restaurant geht nicht mehr ans am Telefon. Halbe Stunde später rief mich liefer Typ an und sagte, es sei nicht sein Schuld sondern vom Resturant.und er würde das Essen in halbe Stunde liefern. Es geht wirklich garnicht!

Eine riesige Speisekarte, sehr lecker, authentisch, passt auch für die Kinder, gemütlich, sehr freundliche Bedienung. Man kann auch mit der Karte bezahlen.

Freundliche Bedienung und sehr leckeres Essen gleicht die nüchterne Einrichtung wieder aus. Selten schaffe ich die Portion nicht, doch hier wird großzügig serviert. Die Mahlzeit ist ihren Preis wert. Bin auf Geschäftsreise und komme gerne wieder hier her, wenn ich in Köln bin.

Leckeres Essen vielleicht ganz wenig teuer aber schmeckt sehr toll. Für einen Einsteiger in indisches Essen eine gute Wahl :) Die Bedienung war nett und willkommen und mit der Musik im Hintergrund war es sehr angenehm. Meine Frau und ich essen regelmäßig indisch und haben in Köln auch schon fast alle indischen Restaurants getestet. Im Namaste gibt es nMn aktuell das beste indische Essen in Köln. Sehr authentisch und lecker. Die Preise sind leicht höher als bei der Konkurrenz aber dafür bekommt man auch größerer Portionen, also absolut gerechtfertigt. Gerne wieder 👍

Wir haben heute hier bestellt und sind begeistert. Sogar die Minzsosse schmeckt fantastisch (mag ich eigentlich nicht). Das Essen ist zwar nicht billig aber, die Portionen sind auch richtig groß ,hier wird man mehr als satt. Werde hier wieder bestellen.

Tolles Essen und nette Bedienung, aber bitte ändert das Lichtkonzept. Es sieht leider aus wie in einem Krankenhaus. Sehr ungemütlich im Moment.

Aktuell unser Lieblings-Bestellservice. Das Essen ist super lecker und die Portionen riesig (locker genug für 2 Tage - für uns). Wir haben uns ein wenig durch die Karte getestet und hatten nie etwas, das nicht geschmeckt hat. Die Preise sind etwas höher, die Qualität stimmt dafür aber. Bisher hatten wir mit der Lieferung immer Glück und die angegebene Zeit wurde unterschritten. Heute dann mal Pech (2.5 statt angegebenen 1.5 Stunden gewartet). Kann passieren, lehrt uns aber Sonntags abends nicht erst zu bestellen wenn man schon Hunger hat.

Wollte mir ein Gericht mit extra Naan Brot ins nahe gelegene Hotel (200m) liefern lassen, jedoch war die Bestellung von 19,40€ zu gering und ich wurde abgelehnt. Bei so einer Unfreundlichkeit und Geldgier nicht zu empfehlen, schade!

Zum ersten Mal Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt und ich kann nicht weniger tun als eine ganz klare Empfehlung auszusprechen – geschmacklich, Service und was es zu den Gerichten noch on top gab. Die Saucen, das Mango Lassi...alles wirklich außerordentlich lecker! Essen war auch super schnell abholbereit. Zum ersten Mal, aber sicher nicht zum letzten Mal!

Man wird satt und das Essen "schmeckt indisch". Ich will nicht sagen, dass das Essen nicht o.k. war, es gibt aber erheblich bessere indische Lokale, vor allem was das Imbissartige Ambiente betrifft.

Das eher unscheinbare indische Restaurant macht auf den ersten Blick den Eindruck eines Veedelslokals. Die Preisgestaltung erscheint in diesem Zusammenhang nicht angemessen. Aber: Für das qualitative Niveau der indischen Gerichte und den angenehm zurückhaltend-freundlichen Service stellt sich dies letztlich als völlig gerechtfertigt heraus - extrem lecker!!! Das Namaste übertrifft so manchen Konkurrenten um Längen ...

This is the best restaurant in Köln I would say at least for vegetarian menu. Been 2 times here and curries, garlic roti, samosa, salted lassi, mango lassi are really tasty. My friends also liked all the dishes. Will definitely recommend to all my friends and will come back for sure again and again. The only thing missing is masks and disinfectants. It is your choice to go or not.
