Very good food and very authentically seasoned. Some of the dips to start with (on the house) and to add to the meal are fantastic! The chili, coriander, and lime dip was incredibly good. The side salad is also excellent and rather unusual for an Indian restaurant. I couldn't finish all of my meal.

The service is attentive and friendly. The many extras on the house are also a plus – but not the deciding factor in our satisfaction. The prices are also perfectly reasonable for an Indian restaurant in Berlin.

Since reviews are not verified, I am wary of restaurants with overly enthusiastic reviews. So, if you read my review, know that it is truly authentic. I had a wonderful surprise when I came to this restaurant. The meal was generous (too bad I didn't think to take a photo), the cuisine (Indian) was delicious, the flavors are combined with great finesse. A real treat!

I visited this Indian Punjabi restaurant and it was such a wonderful experience. The paratha was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and just the way it should be. The service stood out even more. They weren’t just serving food, they were sharing stories and making us feel like we were part of their culture. It felt warm, personal, and memorable. Honestly, it was more than just a meal—it was an experience I’ll definitely go back for.

Brilliant place run by the fantastic Mr. Singh!

VIsited the restaurant on Sunday, was told that they have one table vacant but that's reserved as we were walk ins totally understandable. But the lady who was working was super nice to tell that they guests will be late so we can have that table 6 person table. good host amazing lady gave welcome drink papad. food was decent. Then on weekday i went there with another friend to for just a simple birthday dinner for him. again walk in, saw all the tables inside empty, only the ones on the outside were taken, so I just waited to be seated, the waiter there asked how many i said 3, she then told someone who was working behind the bar with another guy. The first guy said that they have a catering order and the service will be delayed, and told us to go to some other person's restaurant. I just asked the person's name because its totally new to me business rejecting customers but i was told he can't, i wasn't in the mood for confrontations tried some polite ways but didn't get a name. I was dismissive of the behavior thinking stupid person, but since i saw other people being treated the same, the problem seems to be quite frequent.

Visited the restaurant by looking at the food reviews. But the attitude of the person (probably a manger) was totally weird! Told me the restaurant is full and I have to wait while I could see the tables empty. At least have the “guts” to tell your name so that I can mention it here !

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really great Indian restaurant! The daal soup was super delicious and full of flavor—exactly my taste. For dessert, there was homemade coconut ice cream, which tasted simply heavenly. Very friendly service and a cozy atmosphere—I'll definitely be back!

NAMASTE really impressed us! The moment we walked in, we were welcomed with a smile, a tasty welcome drink, and even complimentary water – which is super rare in Berlin. They also served a free masala papad with some amazing in-house sauces. Such a nice touch! We ordered the Karhai Paneer and the Vegetarian Thali – both were full of flavour, great portion sizes, and looked beautiful on the plate. You can really taste the authentic, classic Indian flavours. The staff was kind and polite, and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. The whole place has a warm, homely vibe. Definitely coming back soon!

Namaste is a little gem. We went there because it was close to our hotel and had good reviews. The place is very cute, but the welcome is incredible. As soon as you're seated, they bring you a cold drink, delicious waffles, and accompanying sauces. Both the owner and the girls were fantastic and explained to us step by step what they were serving. Five of us had four different dishes: duck korma, two mixed tikka dishes, and one chicken subsi, accompanied by basmati rice, salad, and butter and cheese naan. Everything was good, tasty, and very generous (we asked for takeout packages), but really, really good! With a beer each, a soft drink, and two carafes of wine, we spent just over €25 each. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Indian food and also to those who are trying this cuisine for the first time.

One of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to... From the service to the food, everything was perfect. Ambience is a matter of taste, so it's definitely not a drawback. Very comfortable, not too noisy. We received a free salad and a small appetizer. These little touches made the visit all the more enjoyable. We'll definitely eat here again next time!

Can I please give it 6 stars? We had a fantastic Indian meal, with superb, friendly, informal service and reasonable prices. We also received a "greeting from the Indian kitchen" beforehand, which was simply sensationally delicious. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Berlin and can wholeheartedly recommend Namaste.

It was an incidental find on Google Maps on search…..! Located in calm residential surroundings and off the traffic buzz. Small but Good restaurant with homely feel. We were served as walk-in guests…..! Later we found out that they accept guests only with advance reservations. Appreciate the service and the menu. The parathas and thali was 👍👍 It has many honors to its Gastronomy in Berlin….! Not surprised at all considering food and service. Home made lemonade with mint served cool in a huge steel glass is a must try. Ambience 👍👍👍 It’s more of customized serviced restaurant. Small 3-4 tables for outside dining available. We enjoyed evening with outside dining. Pickles and masala papad was good. Good to know it has completed 37 years this year in Berlin. Highly recommended for Indian tastebuds in Berlin. 👏👏👏👏👍

The food was very, very, VERY delicious and the service was excellent. The portions were more than justified for their price, and I've never been served so well in a restaurant. The waitress described and explained each dish and arranged it beautifully on the plate. We were repeatedly asked if everything tasted good and whether it was okay. When my girlfriend and I were attacked by five (!) wasps, the waitress noticed right away, and the owner personally lit an Indian incense cone for us and placed it on the table. The wasps disappeared within seconds, and we were able to enjoy our meal without being disturbed. Great restaurant!

So Lets write a genuine review here. First of all, the man in the restaurant is a little loud and only welcome whites with open hands. Now, if you try to make a reservation, they would cancel citing that they have an event in place. This has happened to me for 3 times. Their food was nice (the only time we were allowed to dine in). They need to understand and stop the licking behaviour. You need to be welcoming towards your own people.

This was my first time at Namaste and I can only say: it was fantastic! The food was authentic, fresh, and incredibly delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy—ideal for an evening with friends or family. It's definitely great value for money. I'd be happy to come back!

Service can’t be better, came in and received free mango drinks, and tasting plate of some of their home made sauce, always serving with a smile and certain audacity, can’t be better. Food, I can safely say that I’ve never eaten so good Indian food, it was so good that words can’t even describe it, this place deserves way more attention! Top place.

Out of all the Indian restaurants I’ve tried in Berlin, this one truly stands out — it’s easily the best Indian restaurant I’ve experienced in the city, and honestly, possibly the best in all of Germany! As a big fan of aloo paratha, I can confidently say: this is the best aloo paratha I’ve ever had in Germany. Perfectly crisp, flavorful, and comforting — just like it should be. What’s even more impressive is the variety and quality across the entire menu. Whether you’re into vegan options like aloo chana, or prefer their chicken dishes, everything tastes authentic, rich in flavor, and absolutely delicious. The service and hospitality? A solid 5 out of 5. Warm, welcoming, and attentive — it really made the whole experience feel special. This is officially my favorite Indian restaurant from today onwards. If you love Indian food (or even if you’ve never tried it before), give this place a try — you won’t regret it!
