Love the detail in which the food is presented and the staff stepped up their genuine care to serve you.. Most importantly - the curry base is authentic, representing Punjabi flavours and does a great job of it. From the flavours to cutlery, were absolutely on paar to what you can expect from this place. Their Kulchas remind you eating in Punjab region and when they brought the masala pappad with salad consisting of green chilli, you know it's Legit... Family friendly, don't miss asking them what's the Staff favourite...

Very authentic Punjabi and North Indian food you will get in Berlin. The taste is very much like home (proper Maa ke hath ka khana) We tried Paratha and Chhole bhature, it was very tasty. Would surely visit again ☺️

PATHETIC!!! Ordered food online, Ordered Chicken tikka and got fish in Chinese preparation with zucchini and mushroom and sweet in taste. Ordered Bhuna Gosht but got undercooked lamb in red gravy. Lots of red colour used in both the dishes. We made the mistake of ordering online with the good reviews from an app. And blindly trusting the restaurant, it feels like we ordered in India. Unless and until anyone suggests the restaurant don't order blindly.

We visited the restaurant again yesterday. Because we were very excited the first time, we were totally disappointed yesterday. We ordered 7-8 dishes and everything tasted similar (refined with Indian curry). Lamb meat was extremely dry and unseasoned. Service was good but food 0/5

We went out for dinner spontaneously and got a place for 4 people on Saturday evening without a reservation. We were immediately provided with drinks and a little something to eat. The food came very quickly and was highly recommended. At the end we even got tea and espresso on the house. So all in all it's incredibly good

This place confirms reservations initially and then turns you away at the door, claiming all tables are booked — this has happened 3-4 times! Zero professionalism, rude staff, and absolutely no respect for guests. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this place completely! Even 1 start is not enough to say it’s worse in service.

I went there with my friend despite the recent bad reviews BUT, we had a pleasant dinner experience. We were welcomed with complimentary drinks. We were also able to order paneer paratha (which were not on the menu), thanks to the considerate and attentive lady taking orders. 😊 We also tried lamb sizzler and chicken dhaba, both were great. I'd also recommend the perfectly balanced mango lassi. We'll definitely come back for more Paranthas.

We spontaneously reserved a table for the evening while passing by at lunchtime. When we arrived the table was already set with water, Indian crackers and dips. We also received a non-alcoholic welcome drink. In summary: We enjoyed fantastically delicious food and very attentive service. We will certainly come back when we visit the capital again. Queridos lectores, tengan muchísimo cuidado con este establecimiento. Por favor, lo digo de corazón, por el bien de ustedes, evítenlo a toda costa. Eramos clientes frecuentes de este restaurante, cuando estaban los anteriores dueños. Hoy volvimos a ir con mucha ilusión y alegría y nos encontramos con la situación más bizarra y enferma que nos ha pasado en toda la vida. Los meseros y el señor que dice ser ahora el jefe, no hablan bien ni el inglés ni el alemán, lo cual dificulta el entendimiento de TODO. Tanto él, como las personas que ahí trabajan son además de muy antipáticas y groseras, agresivas y rasistas. Pareciera como si estuvieran drogados, alcoholizados ó tuvieran un problema psiquiátrico. La situación bizarra: Estábamos comiendo muy tranquilamente mi esposo y yo, cada uno pidió un menú de día además un mango lassi. Mi esposo, al terminarse su mango lassi, quería pedirle otro a la mesera y en vez de decir mango lassi, sin querer dijo naan. En el momento corrigió amablemente y dijo que se refería a otro mango lassi y no a un naan. La mesera, no se qué entendió (ya que no habla ni alemán ni inglés), y en vez de preguntarnos/confirmarnos lo que pedimos, fue con el señor de la barra (que dice ser el dueño) a decirle algo. Acto seguido: el señor nos empieza a agredir verbalmente (sin saber lo que había pasado) y nos corrió del establecimiento sin dejarnos explicar la situación para que la entendiera (él tampoco habla bien el alemán). Y empezó a decirle a mi esposo que el problema era yo porque "no soy alemana y no hablo alemán" y "¿Ella es tu esposa? ¿De dónde la sacaste?". Y luego nos corrió del lugar. 1) Sí hablo alemán (C1-C2), 2) Soy mexico-alemana (le mostré mi identificación alemana), pero solo porque me veo "diferente", pensó que podía agredirnos. Por favor, de verdad, tengan muchísimo cuidado con estas personas. Evítense pasar por un muy mal momento.

Update to my review: Dear readers/followers, be very careful with this establishment. Please, I say it from the bottom of my heart, for your sake, avoid it at all costs. We were frequent customers of this restaurant, when the previous owners were there. Today we went again with great enthusiasm and joy and we found the most bizarre and sick situation that has happened to us in our whole lives. The waiters and the gentleman who now claims to be the chief, do not speak English or German well, which makes it difficult to comunicate EVERYTHING. Both, he and the people who work there, are very unfriendly and rude and even aggressive and racist. It seemed like they're high, drunk, or have a psychiatric problem. The bizarre situation: My husband and I were eating very quietly, each asked for a menu of the day, plus a lassi mango. My husband, when he finished his lassi, wanted to ask the waitress for another one and instead of saying Mango Lassi, he unintentionally said Naan. At the same moment he kindly corrected that and told the woman that he was referring to another lassi and not a naan. The waitress, I don't know what she understood (since she doesn't speak German or English), and instead of asking/confirming what we asked, she went to the man at the bar (who claims to be the owner) to tell him something. Then: the man began to yell and attack us verbally (not even knowing what had happened) and ran us out of the establishment without letting us explain the situation so that he would understand it (he does not speak German well either). And he started telling my husband that the problem was me because "I'm not German and I don't speak German" and "Is she your wife? Where did you get her?" 1) I do speak German (C1-C2), 2) I am Mexican-German (I showed him my German ID), but only because I look "different," he thought he could attack us. Please, really, be very careful with these people. Avoid going through a very bad time. There are very deranged people in this world. The best restaurant if you want to eat Indian food! The owner is always in a good mood and enjoys bringing new creations to his guests. You feel at home and not like a guest. If you want to try something good, you have to ask for the “Mama Bread”!

We had paranthas - Gobhi and Paneer and it was the best we've had so far in Berlin. The chutneys, salad and the subji served with the paranthas made it very special. Special shout-out to the quality of paranthas - they are extra crispy because they use their own custom made wheat flour. Service will make you feel like you're home. If you can't decide, just go for Gobhi parantha.

Two trips to this restaurant so far. I have only had the chance to have the paranthas here which are outstanding. (Potato and cauliflower). They are as authentic as it can get. The hospitality is brilliant and cheerful. Our go to spot for breakfast craving of paranthas!

Sehr freundlicher Service und sehr gutes Essen. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen Drink und Papadam mit verschiedenen Saucen. Die Gerichte waren sehr ansprechend angerichtet und haben sehr gut geschmeckt. Zum Hauptgang gab es neben dem Reis auch noch Nan. Mango Lassi war ausgezeichnet. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist gut. Dieses Restaurant ist absolut empfehlenswert.

Today I was a guest with colleagues for the first time and I was totally thrilled. Super friendly staff, great quality of food and great prices. It is also particularly positive to mention that Halal meat is offered there.

A real recommendation for fans of Indian cuisine. At lunch and also in the evening you will be looked after and get a wonderful taste experience, including Indian spicy if you wish. The atmosphere is inviting, all rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly even under time pressure.

*Service denied after online reservation* I booked a table for two at Namaste using their ‘Reserve a table’ option. I wanted to try the place upon recommendation of a colleague. We reached there a bit before time and were greeted with utter confusion and surprise by the front reception lady. She told us how they aren’t accepting any reservations for today because of a huge catering order and the food can take a 1-2 hours to get ready, if we decide to take a seat regardless. She said she has no reservations in her system and when I showed it on my phone that there is no indication of any cancellation until now, she said I will receive a cancellation after 24 hours due to some software policy because apparently they only get notified about any reservations after 24 hours of booking a table online (God knows what it means). I tried explaining how they just have one table to attend to (with 5 people already dining there) and we had to travel a lot to be here, not to mention its very annoying to not get informed about any cancellations in advance. She then informed me that I should have called them directly to reserve and we can maybe go to some other restaurant nearby in the area (We were literally told this). My husband who was annoyed at this point, told me that he won’t want to dine-in here even if they allow us now, so we left without further exchange. Right when I was leaving, 4 other people walked in and they were immediately given a seat. I got agitated seeing this and went inside to ask how they were allowed to have a reservation and we were not even though you said all reservations were cancelled for today due to catering issue, and to this the same lady told me that their reservation was done long time ago. Since the restaurant was completely empty otherwise, the newly arrived customers could also hear us and then she immediately switched to Hindi saying how its a system issue and I will get a cancellation email by tomorrow, etc. etc. PS: It’s been more than 24 hours and I still didn’t receive any reservation cancellation email. Never going there again.

Beginnen wir mit den positiven Aspekten: Service ist rundum angenehm, flink und umsichtig. Man wird freundlich empfangen und bekommt einen Tisch, obwohl keine Reservierung vorgenommen wurde (Samstagabend!). Was jedoch keinen „Wow“-Effekt auslöst, sind die Gerichte: Standard-Karte zu Standard-Qualität. Dennoch: das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut und daher ist das Restaurant für einen Besuch zu empfehlen.

Indians are being told no Indians will be served since Christmas to New Year’s period is a German holiday apparently so only they will be catered for. Even if you have a reservation and you’re not white you’re being refused service. This is a great restaurant 👏

Did my reservation and tried to enter but the staff rudely said that only Germans are allowed on the new year and not Indians when it is most definitely an Indian restaurant. This has been outright racism and I don't know how the restaurant deals with the staff that blatantly express racism at will. I am disappointed and shocked at the same time at the behavior of the staff. Never going to that restaurant ever again.

I had a disappointing experience with this restaurant and its staff. My friends and I arrived at 9 PM on 29th December to find the restaurant completely empty, yet we were denied entry because we didn’t have a reservation and they are completely booked until January. The Indian waitress informed us they were only accepting German customers due to the holiday. As an Indian, it was disheartening to face discrimination from an Indian staff member. This experience makes me question how the restaurant maintains such a positive rating when many negative reviews highlight similar issues with staff treatment. Every customer deserves respect, regardless of their background. I hope the management addresses this issue to create a more inclusive environment. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant.
