We had paranthas - Gobhi and Paneer and it was the best we've had so far in Berlin. The chutneys, salad and the subji served with the paranthas made it very special. Special shout-out to the quality of paranthas - they are extra crispy because they use their own custom made wheat flour. Service will make you feel like you're home. If you can't decide, just go for Gobhi parantha.

Two trips to this restaurant so far. I have only had the chance to have the paranthas here which are outstanding. (Potato and cauliflower). They are as authentic as it can get. The hospitality is brilliant and cheerful. Our go to spot for breakfast craving of paranthas!

The best restaurant if you want to eat Indian food! The owner is always in a good mood and enjoys bringing new creations to his guests. You feel at home and not like a guest. If you want to try something good, you have to ask for the “Mama Bread”!

Sehr freundlicher Service und sehr gutes Essen. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen Drink und Papadam mit verschiedenen Saucen. Die Gerichte waren sehr ansprechend angerichtet und haben sehr gut geschmeckt. Zum Hauptgang gab es neben dem Reis auch noch Nan. Mango Lassi war ausgezeichnet. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist gut. Dieses Restaurant ist absolut empfehlenswert.

Today I was a guest with colleagues for the first time and I was totally thrilled. Super friendly staff, great quality of food and great prices. It is also particularly positive to mention that Halal meat is offered there.

A real recommendation for fans of Indian cuisine. At lunch and also in the evening you will be looked after and get a wonderful taste experience, including Indian spicy if you wish. The atmosphere is inviting, all rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly even under time pressure.

The Namaste restaurant impresses across the board! There is a great selection of curries, tandoori dishes, biryanis and many vegetarian options. Particularly noteworthy is the varied lunch menu - ideal for trying new delicacies again and again. The welcome is warm: every guest receives a welcome drink and a small starter on the house. A wonderful gesture that makes the stay pleasant from the start. The restaurant itself is very clean and tastefully decorated, which creates an overall appealing ambience. The employees are friendly, motivated and ensure that you as a guest feel comfortable at all times. Anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine will get their money's worth here. This is honest, good cuisine that impresses with its quality and taste. Absolutely recommended!

Found “the” Indian restaurant in Berlin! Best Indian food I ever had. A tip: ask for “Aloo Paratha” if you want to have something unique and delicious!

Whenever I'm in Berlin I try to eat here and I'm thrilled every time. All the dishes I've tried so far have been at least good, if not very good. Tip - With the lunch menu until 4 p.m. you can save even more and get an appetizer on top. Always my pleasure!

Was jedoch keinen „Wow“-Effekt auslöst, sind die Gerichte: Standard-Karte zu Standard-Qualität. Dennoch: das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr gut und daher ist das Restaurant für einen Besuch zu empfehlen.

*Service denied after online reservation* I booked a table for two at Namaste using their ‘Reserve a table’ option. I wanted to try the place upon recommendation of a colleague. We reached there a bit before time and were greeted with utter confusion and surprise by the front reception lady. She told us how they aren’t accepting any reservations for today because of a huge catering order and the food can take a 1-2 hours to get ready, if we decide to take a seat regardless. She said she has no reservations in her system and when I showed it on my phone that there is no indication of any cancellation until now, she said I will receive a cancellation after 24 hours due to some software policy because apparently they only get notified about any reservations after 24 hours of booking a table online (God knows what it means). I tried explaining how they just have one table to attend to (with 5 people already dining there) and we had to travel a lot to be here, not to mention its very annoying to not get informed about any cancellations in advance. She then informed me that I should have called them directly to reserve and we can maybe go to some other restaurant nearby in the area (We were literally told this). My husband who was annoyed at this point, told me that he won’t want to dine-in here even if they allow us now, so we left without further exchange. Right when I was leaving, 4 other people walked in and they were immediately given a seat. I got agitated seeing this and went inside to ask how they were allowed to have a reservation and we were not even though you said all reservations were cancelled for today due to catering issue, and to this the same lady told me that their reservation was done long time ago. Since the restaurant was completely empty otherwise, the newly arrived customers could also hear us and then she immediately switched to Hindi saying how its a system issue and I will get a cancellation email by tomorrow, etc. etc. PS: It’s been more than 24 hours and I still didn’t receive any reservation cancellation email. Never going there again.

If only there was an option for 0 star. An absolute NO GO ❌❌❌ I pity for these people. So rude, so unhappy looking, so unfriendly, so cold, absolutely no professionalism ... Food is far from authentic Indian ... It's bland and overpriced ... I'll not recommend to anyone ...

Indians are being told no Indians will be served since Christmas to New Year’s period is a German holiday apparently so only they will be catered for. Even if you have a reservation and you’re not white you’re being refused service. This is a great restaurant 👏

Also, the waitress could have easily suggested a take away option. We left the place super hungry and utterly confused. We realized we were being discriminated after a while.😅 Edit: We just found that the restaurant had accepted the reservation at 11:18AM and then cancelled it at 11:45AM. We missed seeing this email. But the other events happened as narrated above.

I had a disappointing experience with this restaurant and its staff. My friends and I arrived at 9 PM on 29th December to find the restaurant completely empty, yet we were denied entry because we didn’t have a reservation and they are completely booked until January. The Indian waitress informed us they were only accepting German customers due to the holiday. As an Indian, it was disheartening to face discrimination from an Indian staff member. This experience makes me question how the restaurant maintains such a positive rating when many negative reviews highlight similar issues with staff treatment. Every customer deserves respect, regardless of their background. I hope the management addresses this issue to create a more inclusive environment. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Wie so oft zufällig vorbeigelaufen und reingegangen. Wurden nicht enttäuscht. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen Mangosaft. Essen kam recht zügig obwohl viel los war. Wirklich gut und nett präsentiert. Gerne wieder wenn wir wieder in der Gegend sind.

It was really crazy! My wife and I have tried everything in terms of food but what is conjured up here is really very strong. We can recommend the butter chicken and naan, both were beyond fantastic. The portions are a perfect size and we were certainly full. The rice was great too! The service was very busy and always kept an eye on the service, which in my opinion was also very good. All in all, recommended to anyone who doesn't want the standard recommendations! It was really great. The food, the service, everything. I would visit this place every time when I'm in Berlin. The butter chicken is really good and the butter naan is great, would definitely recommend trying these dishes! Thank you so much, greetings from Dortmund :)

Not recommended at all. Never a free seat there do dine in. Called in 3 times to reserve a table, someone picks up the call and denies the reservation at their will.

I wish i could add more stars than 5 for the service. The hospitality is over the moon wonderful! The waiters are so kind and welcoming 🥰 the food is also good and delicious, we tried the samosas with the chickpea sauce❤️‍🔥 we had chicken biryani, chicken korma, number 77 and and 79 all 10/10 absolutely amazing ❤️‍🔥😋😋😋 gerne wieder i can only recommend !!

Finding & visiting NAMASTE was a pleasant experience for us. One of the best Indian restaurants in Berlin.The ambiance is nice at the place , food was amazing and what made it even more special was the love with which it was being served special thanks to Ms Monica .they were kind enough to adapt to our specific needs for kids . We enjoyed our food and the evening was everything we hoped it would be. You get true Indian flavours and dishes being served in true Indian hospitality and smile . The Chili Paneer was depressing. Entirely drowning in sweet chili sauce. Gulab Jamun was salty for some reason. Tandoori chicken was juicy as well but the amount of salt was bordering on excessive. The ice cream with mango cream was great and the rice was cooked beautifully. The host and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Amaaazziinngg Punjab cuisine with amazing service and great atmosphere. The curry is full of flavour and we got a naan on the house. The Naan was shockingly delicious with an addictive flaky texture. Portions are also big, you will be absolutely stuffed. Would recommend!

The experience was truly outstanding. The food was incredible—genuine Punjabi flavors at their best. We began with the most delicious masala papad I’ve ever tasted, enhanced by a perfectly balanced assortment of chutneys. We also tried Amritsari Gobi and Aloo Parathas, we were served a deliciously authentic desi-style aloo-chana subzi that felt just like home cooking. It was simply fantastic. We had the privilege of meeting Mr. Bunty Singh, the gracious host and owner of the restaurant, and he turned out to be an absolutely amazing person. He briefly explained us the history of his restaurant from his Grand Parents till his Generation. We are Originally from Mumbai and now settled in Berlin, we are always on the lookout for authentic Desi Indian cuisine in Germany. This spot is a must-visit haven for Punjabi cuisine enthusiasts. I will be visiting again. As my son will like to try Samosa Chat and Chole Bhatura. :)

Overall, a strong 4 star. Another reason for a 4 star is our server (lady). She was super polite and generous. We had a chicken curry with roti and their gigantic paratha (not on menu). Everything tasted authentic. On the other side, the owner/manager was a little loud (:P). A must visit for the next time.

On our first visit to Namaste, the owner Banthi personally "fed" us and showed us how to make the naan with three sauces. He then recommended his banthi special, but the chicken korma is also to die for. At Namaste you don't just eat, you EXPERIENCE food. Here we celebrate birthdays and Christmases in traditional sari. It's about hospitality in action. In addition, the ambience is beautiful. Namaste is a place where enjoyment reaches its highest form. Thanks Banthi. Namaste 🙏

Im Nameste gibt es sehr gutes indisches Essen von vegan, vegetarisch bis zu Fleisch. Zur Begrüßung bekommt man einen alkoholfreien Drink und als Appetizer Papadam mit Chutneys. Zum Mittagsmenü, hier kann man zwischen einer kleinen Auswahl an Gerichten wählen, wird eine leckere Suppe mit Brot serviert. Sehr zu empfehlen ist auch das Brot nach dem Rezept der Mama (siehe Bild). Vorzugsweise ist dieses am Abend zu bestellen.

Worst hospitality in Berlin. Manager was too rude and staff were very inpolite. I would recommend going somewhere else then coming here. We were asked to leave even when we had reservations.

I wish there was an option to rate 6 both for the service and the food! The food was really amazing. Totally authentic punjabi food. If you live in Berlin, or visiting, please do visit. We had the best masala papad with a special mix of chutneys elevating the flavour profile. With the parathas that we ordered, we were served with amazing desi home style aloo-chana subzi that was really awesome. The lassi (that I had to take away) was served in the patiala glass and the lassi was authentic pubjabi patiala lassi. Not very creamy/thick. I would definitely visit again!

Wonderful unexpected surprise for a lunch table. Very personal but not intrusive atmosphere. In addition to the delicious lunch menu, there was also a free welcome drink, a small soup and small flat cakes with homemade sauces and a chai afterwards.

A true hidden gem! We visited this afternoon and were absolutely impressed by both the food and the service. They welcomed us with a complimentary drink and masala papad, which was a lovely touch. We requested aloo parantha (as they are not on the menu), and it exceeded expectations, served with a variety of flavorful condiments. The chicken curry was equally delightful, and the mango rose kulfi was simply outstanding. The host was incredibly warm, and the hospitality made us feel right at home. Tried their special parathas(aloo, gobi, mooli) it was superb just like how you get in India especially north india. Along with that the icing on cake was their curd and homemade chutneys. Would definitely recommend Namaste

I rarely have such a pleasant lunch. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive - the atmosphere is pleasantly Indian without being overly tired. There was a free small welcome drink and crackers with dips. The soup before the main course was delicious together with an incredibly crusty and tasty bread. The lamb was tender and well seasoned - the rice fluffy and light. I had an exceptionally pleasant and relaxing lunch break and will definitely stop there more often. Absolute recommendation!

One of the worst experience. The owner doesn’t know how to behave. He was yelling at his workers when I entered the restaurant. He didn’t talk nicely to me and my wife. This is the second time this has happened that his behaviour was so rude and disrespectful. I would not recommend this place mainly because of the owner’s behaviour.

Waren schon das zweite Mal im Namaste Essen und sind sehr begeistert vom Service und Essen. Tolle Indische Küche, schöne Atmosphäre und Preisleistung passt. Der Geschäftsführer nimmt sich Zeit für seine Gäste und ist ein sehr guter Gastgeber. Wir kommen wieder, wenn wir mal wieder in Berlin sind!

The food here was outstanding and so was the staff. We had ordered Lamb Biryani and Tandoori Chicken, and honestly it was so far the best we had in Berlin. Palak, Riya and Sanya were just a perfect addition to the team of Namaste. They offered us welcome drinks and masala papads upon arrival, which I thought was a very sweet gesture. I really recommend this place if you are in Berlin.

The Aloo onion paratha served with curd, pickle, and a sabzi was really authentic and delicious and is a must try. It is not written on the menu, so you will have to ask for it. It is quite huge, so very good value for money. They also have amritsari kulcha (not on the menu). The hospitality is great, which is a bit hard to find in other Berlin restaurants. No brainer 5 stars!!

From the general reviews, a lot of people seem to like it here. Then I came here and ate. What can I say taste is different.... The sauce was more like a sweet one Tomato sauce from the Italian... Or something like that. I missed the Indian spice and flavor excursion Short It just didn't taste good Ambiance and service are fine.

5 stars for their amazing signature paratha dish but the curries in the veg Thali were a bit mild for our taste.
