It's not a fit for South Indians especially those who expect a good dosa. I'm totally disappointed with the dosa and Chinese platter as well.portion of the Chinese platter is very less😐

It is one of my favourite restaurants in Berlin and I dinned in a couple of time there( mostly dosa - south India food) This time ordered North India food and got a bit disappointed. I must say curry is testy. But unfortunately the “Garlic Naan” is not “Naan” rather it was pizza base(regular bread) in terms of texture and test. The combination of Nan and curry is most important for North India food in my opinion and this was completely missed. Hopefully Dosking would consider as a positive feedback and reconsidering for further improvement.

Great atmosphere and delicious food.

Super delicious Indian dishes and phenomenal chai. I lived in southern India for a year myself. I took it as an ideal sign that the restaurant was full of Indian families when we visited and was not disappointed. These dishes are simply authentically seasoned and absolutely recommended. The dosas in particular are just perfect. We were there for the second time now and will definitely come back. Prices are good and the service is very friendly and quick. Cash and PayPal are accepted.

Amazing variety of tasty South Indian vegetarian and vegan food!

Really not recommended at all unfortunately. If only I had read the reviews first. As someone wrote before me: The valuations simply cannot be correct in terms of the ratio of the restaurant's inventory from one year.

Don’t get fooled by all the positive reviews here as you can see all the positive reviews are from people that are from Gujarat (see the pattern here). I ordered manchurian and dosa and it was terrible in taste with higher prices. Improve your recipes then do business. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Edit: I am not connected with any business and simply a customer that once ordered from your restaurant. This is not a way to take criticism from your customers. Your food is simply not good and should be improved rather than “we don’t care” attitude. Hope you have a nice day ahead.

I would give two stars because the service was ok. The food quality is not as good as i expected very average. Pizza dosa was very average or poor. Sides dishes are a bit expensive. I would never visit again.

Food was unexpectedly good. Highly recommend veg Manchurian (even Chinese platter), vada pav and kaju curry. Garlic naan surprisingly had good amount of garlic where other restaurants usually lack that in Berlin.

I ordered from Dosa King for the first time yesterday. In the future I will only order something here in an emergency. The food delivered was tasty, but unfortunately our order requests were not taken into account at all. The declaration of the dishes as vegan and vegetarian is exemplary. We ordered exclusively vegan dishes for over 100 euros. In the order I explicitly stated again that everything should be prepared vegan. So why do we still get yoghurt-based sauces and a cow's milk mango lassi on the house? Unfortunately, that really annoyed me. Most restaurants that sell meat are more attentive... The request to have hot sauces added was not addressed at all. Unfortunately, two dishes arrived completely crushed. The lower aluminum bowls were flattened by the weight of the dishes above them and the lower dish leaked everywhere. It's a shame because the food itself was really tasty. But I definitely won't be ordering here again any time soon.

Our recent family dinner at Dosaking was a delightful experience. Craving a taste of home (or perhaps a delicious introduction to South Indian cuisine!), we were thrilled with the restaurant's offerings. We opted for the classic Masala Dosa, the ever-popular Manchurian, and the savory Vada Pav. Each dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection, transporting us straight to the heart of India. Dosaking's special drink deserves a special mention – it was refreshing and complemented the food beautifully. The friendly and attentive service added another layer of warmth to our dining experience. Highly Recommend!

Recently I visited this Dosaking Indian restaurant in Steglitz and I must say it serves the most authentic Indian food in the whole of Berlin / Germany. The main reason is that they use fresh ingredients unlike most restaurants here and they have not modified the dishes as per European taste. They have great reviews on Google and hence I visited with my friends and we were super happy not only with the food but also with the hospitality (which is very rare here). We had Vada Pav, Manchurian, Paneer Chilli, Dosa. All dishes were equally tasty, but Pizza Dosa was very unique and delicious and we never had it even in India. Dosaking Spezial were yummy too. A must visit place for all Indians in Berlin, if you have not already visited.

Finally really excellent south Indian food in Germany. I love Indian food, having visited India many times due to work, I can say that this restaurant has the most authentic and flavorful Indian food in all of Germany. We tried Samosa Chat, Manchurian after suggestion and other Main courses Dosa and all dishes were awesome. This will surely be are goto place for Indian food every time we are in Berlin.

One of the best Indian restaurants I've eaten at so far. If you order food spicy, it is often so intense that you can't taste anything except the spiciness. It was absolutely perfect here.

Unfortunately, the Paneer Malai Tikka was absolutely lacking. Offered under the grilled specialties section, as you can see from the pictures, it was not grilled in any way. The taste made us think that perhaps sugar had been confused with salt. The entire dish was very very sweet and not salty at all. Unfortunately very disappointing, we will not be ordering from here again and would advise against it.

Dosa is nice. We also took naan and sabji its not worth eating here as its taste is not that great better is stick to dosas.. Service is slow and atmosphere could be better. Cleanliness needs to be worked on.

The staff was really friendly and were willing to suggest their specialities. They even helped customize the dishes as we desired. In the end they surprised us with drinks as well on the house.The food is not too bad either but not authentic and can definitely improve. Location is a bit off too.

Great, I'm not a vegetarian, but I really enjoyed the food

I had visited this place with my father after hearing about this restaurant. We are south indians and do fancy a nice dosa place. We were disappointed. The menu is full of north indian dishes and only a handful of dosas. The dosa tasted bad as well. It was extremely sour and the chutneys smelled old and bad. A day later we both had stomach problems. I had high hopes, given the name of the restaurant and was excited for my father. Unfortuenely, this did leave a bad impact on his memories of his Berlin trip.

The food is incredibly delicious. We have been regular guests since it opened and always look forward to the food and the friendly staff. If you eat there, you should definitely order Jini Dosa and Manchurian Bites!

The Dosai were rather mediocre, relatively dry. Very annoying that cash only payment is possible. This is unacceptable today.

We ordered hakka noodles, manchurian and green gotala dosa for take home. The taste was so bad that after 1 bite we couldn't have 2nd because the taste of oil in noodles and manchurian was so bad. Manchurian was very stale it was a bit stinky as well. When the food is served hot at restaurant these things are unnoticed. Bad Quality Bad Taste.

The Mysore masala dosa was really good. It was well stuffed and the chutneys were really tasty as well. Manchurian and hakka noodles was very doughy and had sweetness to it as if ketchup was added to it.

Being South Indian, i was skeptical to taste Dosas here. But to my surprise the taste and authenticity has really shocked me. Amazing dosas with fresh coconut chutney and yummy tasty sambar. Highly recommend. Very kind staff and careful about the ingredients that goes into kids menu or options. Easily beats any „authentic“ „native“ South Indian restaurants in Berlin 😉

The real India as finally come to Berlin! When I first fell in love with my wife, we traveled to and through India together, experiencing all of it's richness and beauty and flavors. We swung and danced on the dipping, fishing nets in Kerala, made love in a nearby tea grove, laughed through tears of joy eating the most fantastic dishes. When Dosa King delivered our mealthe first time (as it has many times since), we were transported back to that time. Yes, now, instead of all that physical passion, we swing over to the couch and loosen our belts after the meal, but only to nap maybe, and we just make tea (to drink) instead of whoopi in the hedgerows of tea trees, but my wife's same tears of joy for these meals is just the same as I recall. She's still the same red-headed beauty who drew out all the women in these small villages to admire her locks so long ago, but now she only has my attention. I don't have hers. She's completely transported by the Masala Dosas. Still, I can hear the trills of Lata Mangeshkar in my mind, providing the soundtrack to our love. Dosa King is not for the lilly white palates of Berliners who have not traveled. They bring the heat, they keep it 100, and they do not apologies for bringing some spice to Steglitz! Thank you, Dosa King family, for restoring the passion in my life and taking my wife and I back to our beginnings.

I was just in India and was really sad not to have a “real Indian” back in Berlin. I drove past by chance on my bike, discovered it and went out to eat. Mega tasty, the masala dosas are really authentic. I will come here regularly.

5 Stars ??? Definitely overrated! The filling of the masaladosa was virtually non-existent (potato-onion), and it wasn't crispy either. The so-called chutneys were only available by the teaspoonful. The described taste experience of aromas and spices was also absent from the curry with cauliflower, the spiciness was o.k. Service is friendly, communication is best in English.

5 Sterne ??? Eindeutig überbewertet! Die Füllung des Masaladosa war quasi nicht vorhanden ( Kartoffel- Zwiebel), und es war auch nicht knusprig. Von den sog. Chutneys gab es nur teelöffelweise. Die beschriebene "Geschmacksexplosion" nach Gewürzen fand auch beim Curry mit Blumenkohl nicht statt, die Schärfe war o.k. Bedienung freundlich, Verständigung am besten auf Englisch.

Today I wanted to visit the restaurant and reserved a table. The reservation has been confirmed. The house wasn't even open during the official opening hours. That's really bad style and doesn't work at all!

Would have loved to rate this awesome Indian restaurant higher but they may need to improve some of their dishes- we had the mixed Bhajia, Dil Khush Dosa (a surprisingly tasty variant with sweet and sour elements), paneer tikka masala and masala chai. The Dosa was our favourite will definitely go back and try more dishes

Very delicious food and come very close to home

As a non-vegetarian, I was completely happy at Dosa King. Nowhere else in Berlin have I found such good dosas - thin, filled egg crepes. I can't think of any other Indian restaurant that can match Dosa King's taste sophistication (and I've visited many). Behind the restaurant's inconspicuous facade lies masterful cuisine. If I recommend an Indian restaurant, it would definitely be this one.

We recently visited Dosaking restaurant and omg we just loved it. The food was very delicious. The ambience and atmosphere has that Indian touch to it..! Simply awesome. We tried Jini dosa and Gotala dosa, both had the authentic Indian taste. The service was also real quick. Had a wonderful experience!

Best dosa I ever had. We tried out the Jini, masala and the gotala. All were great tasting. The sambar and chutney were freshly made. I will definitely come back.

The few times a year I'm in Berlin I have to use the opportunity to eat Masala Dosa, since it's not available in my area. My favourite place had closed, so I tried another place which was so disappointing, that I had to eat a second masala Dosa that day. In this restaurant (Dosa King) the Dosa was really nice and had all the flavours out should have. I was very happy!! This restaurant has only mildly adapted the spice level to accommodate both, Germans and Indians. The mostly authentic taste is also represented by the great amount of Indians dining there. The atmosphere is also pleasant

Just sharing my recent experience. 1. Unfortunately, we were here recently after seeing many good reviews. While surprisingly the manchurian was not on the menu, we asked for it and liked the manchurian. 2. Fried rice and dosa were decent. 3. Since the menu had rice, naan and North Indian gravies, we tried them (Veg Pulao, Paneer butter masala, Chole, Kaju) but all ordered items were below par taste, especially chole. 4. Service was OK as the service person was not much attentive, and we needed to wait for long to order more items. Additionally, they took longer to serve the items even though there was only one other customer besides us. Conclusion: Please go there only if you want to have nothing other than some decent dosa and manchurian.

Unterschätzter Ort, um dosa mit einem Hauch von Gujarati-Geschmack zu essen. Der Besitzer ist auch freundlich und ein netter Mensch. Wir waren dort und hatten Ghotala-Dosa, Masala-Dosa und einfache Dosa zusammen mit Manchurian Dry und Papad. Das Sambhar ist auch authentisch. Die Chutneys sind es auch. Wenn Sie den typisch indischen Geschmack auf Ihre Geschmacksknospen übertragen wollen, sollten Sie auf jeden Fall dorthin gehen. Underrated place to have dosa with a bit of Gujarati taste. The owner's also friendly and a nice person. We went there and had ghotala dosa, and masala dosa and plain dosa along with Manchurian dry and papad. The sambhar is also authentic. The chutneys are too. You should definitely visit the place if you want to ignite the typical Indian taste to your buds.

Nicely decorated place. It is one of the decent restaurants in Berlin. The hospitality of the restaurant was good. We went there with our friend and family. They provided happy atmosphere along with their reasonable prices on the dishes. Behaviour of the staffs were good. We ordered fency dosa and the food taste was awesome. Dal was so tasty, we enjoyed a lot, it was a good experience to be there. They served complementary cocktail for us , we were so delighted.
