My Best Indian Restaurant in Berlin

Truly tasty Indian restaurant. The service is also very pleasant. Portions are quite big, so they can be shared. I had tandoori chicken, bhatura bread, mango lassi, a vegetarian dish with paneer cheese (I forgot the name) to share. Recommended

Too good place. We have been there so many times and it’s our favorite place in Berlin in last 8 years. Also out of Berlin so it’s always a nice short trip. Staff is also very welcoming. They always serve good salads and Bhatura complementary.

I ate there yesterday, my first time, and was immediately disappointed. Before the meal, we were served a salad that was very unappetizing, and the dressing smelled like rotten eggs. Despite my bad feeling, I ate it. The main course was supposed to be chicken. What I got was something else entirely, but definitely not chicken. Chicken has a texture, and you can pull it apart with a fork and knife after cooking. What I was served looked like it had been cut from a block, without any texture or taste. Then, two men were sitting at the next two tables to us. They had already drunk several beers when we came in. In the hour we were there, they ordered three more half-liters of beer. The result was slurred, not exactly quiet conversation that would have been more appropriate in a pub. When they ordered their fourth beer, and then there were disgusting noises coming from their direction, I just chugged my drink down, we paid, and I practically fled the place. I felt nothing but disgust. It's either a restaurant or a pub, but whatever it is, you won't see me there again.

The food is always fresh and there's no long wait. Delicious Yogi tea and lassi. Excellent value for money. I'll definitely be back.

The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. Some evenings we waited up to an hour for our food, other times less than half an hour. Unfortunately, there was no warning that it might take longer. They offer a wide variety of drinks – from lassis and soft drinks to cocktails – personally, the lassis and mocktails were the best. The conservatory is lovely and a bit more airy and quieter, which I really appreciate. The restaurant itself is more cramped, warmer, and considerably louder. Always worth a visit though!

Since it's the closest Indian restaurant to us, we decided to try it out. We were very surprised by the very reasonable prices, especially since every main course comes with a salad, and the dishes come with both rice and bathura bread. Personally, I didn't find the salad typically Indian, but rather reminded me of an Italian starter salad. Also untypical, since I've always gotten salad, rice, and the stir-fries at the same time. Well, as I said, given the price, there's nothing to complain about, and it was delicious. We tried the cocktails with our meal and found them very good, too. The only thing we could have skipped was the dessert. Unfortunately, the mango lassi didn't come out of the shaker creamy, but was completely thin, like juice, and flavorless. Well, and in the vanilla ice cream with nut croquant, we maybe noticed a hint of "there's still something in the vanilla ice cream" three times, but I wouldn't recommend that either. It wasn't bad considering the prices. We'll be happy to come back and skip dessert next time.

We reserved 1 week in advance. When we arrived it turned out that the reservation had apparently not been noted. So we were placed in the covered annex. Anyway. It's a shame though, because the atmosphere wasn't inviting. In summer with the roof open it might seem cozier. I didn't like the chicken at all. It had nothing to do with chicken in terms of taste or consistency. Bread was provided extra at the house's expense. The service was ok, but it was very stressful. They were very quick to clear away. I was just able to finish my starter salad before the bowl was taken away. We will choose another Indian restaurant next time.

Cheap and good Indian food. Not very authentic, but large portions and good quality. Bathura and Daal is very tasty. In 2025 the food was really extremely good. Significantly better than last time. Also authentic. Had daal and palak panneer.

My family wanted to go out for Indian food and I went along. The rooms are pretty and decorated in warm colors. The food portions are not suitable for filling you up. The dishes served at the next table smoked towards us. I didn't like that. And the duck pieces were soft and not crispy as expected. Maybe Indian food isn't for me.

Too much sauce on the fruit salad because the fruit draws liquid, the salad with the dressing is too watery, almost mushy. The fresh fruit, unfortunately, has too much dressing. Unfortunately there is also something to complain about with the fish dishes. Redfish fish in food should be soft not Bisfest. Note from the staff about the flour makes the fish drier and firmer. It's a shame that complaints or errors are handled this way. No apology or we'll pass it on to the chef. If you come from the catering industry yourself, complaints should be handled differently. I cannot recommend the restaurant. A few years ago it was very sad

This is really cheap. There was also salad in advance. By the way, no one asked me what level of spiciness I wanted (just because it was written here). But the staff is neither particularly friendly nor interested in the guests, as they only have their first order on the table. The ambience is okay, but there is still a lot going on there.

What annoyed me is that I wanted to pay €40 for a bill of more than €30, so I added a tip and €50 was deducted. I paid by card and I didn't see the amount on the display. I didn't see that too much had been debited until the next day when I looked at my bank statement.
