November 12, 2025: The cashier apparently isn't very good at math and wanted to give me too little change. I was treated rudely. She was difficult to understand due to a strong "African" accent. I'll give it another chance and then update my review.

I discovered this place by chance during my stop in Erfurt. I opted for the DDR Jägerschnitzelburger, and it was absolutely delicious. I didn't have to wait long either. That was pretty quick for a burger, but it still tasted great. If you want to eat in, that's possible, too. It's small but perfectly formed.

We had a food truck from Mutti fröhlich sich at our party. The food was phenomenal! All the guests loved it. Highly recommended!

I had the classic bowl. The menu said it had quinoa, but there was nothing in it. Dressing was only available upon request.

The dumpling fries were delicious. But the employee was anything but friendly, and you didn't feel welcome.

Until recently, the place still served real meat. Back then, the burgers were definitely worth a visit. But now they're just soggy, rubbery patties that taste like they've been pre-cooked. Sadly, that was a complete failure 🤢

Mom wasn't happy. We had called specifically to inquire about the gluten-free alternatives. Everything sounded very good and nice on the phone... but when we got there, there was a very annoyed attendant behind the counter who knew nothing about the gluten-free rolls the nice lady had promised us on the phone. Conclusion: Mom with celiac disease wasn't happy.

For me, the best burger in town! The place is located by the train station, so it's often noisy and a bit uncomfortable, but the food more than makes up for it :))

Best burger I've had in my life.

I am a regular customer of your restaurant and have recommended it to many of my colleagues because of the excellent quality of your burgers. Today I came full of anticipation for the usual delicious burger – but unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The meat was completely different than usual: poor quality, barely edible – but the price was the same as before! I could barely eat the meal and only took a few bites. The salesperson explained to me that the manager had changed the meat and it was no longer of the usual quality. I also didn't receive a refund. Honestly, I will never return to this restaurant and will not spend another cent here. I will also tell everyone I know about my bad experience and the poor customer service. The employee is not at fault – the decision lies with the manager. Customers should be clearly informed before paying if the quality or ingredients of the food change. It's unfair to find out after the purchase – and then be left with the cost.

The meat has really gone downhill. The patty looks like a pressed thing from the freezer. Unfortunately, it doesn't look anything like the photos, where the patty looks juicy and fresh. I'm really disappointed. The fries and pulled chicken were delicious, though. What a shame.

The burger stands for freshness and quality 1A♡

I used to enjoy coming here a few months ago because it was a really solid burger, but today (Monday) it wasn't quite as good. Maybe they hadn't delivered yet and these were the replacement frozen patties, but in principle, I'd be willing to pay more if the quality was good. Of course, that might not be the case for everyone.

I bought half chickens after work (5:00 p.m.) – they had been sitting for a while (about as long as it took me to burp the broiler), dry, tough, and the skin was also tough. The taste was ridiculous for the price. The two ladies at the counter did their job without any problems. Every broiler stand in front of a supermarket has fresher produce than this one – or in short: Mom isn't happy!

A friendly little snack bar with delicious dishes. Great burgers, crispy fries, friendly service... we'll be eating here again on our next visit to Erfurt :)

The food was incredibly delicious. The staff seemed overwhelmed – it was obvious that a new employee was being trained. Unfortunately, this also made her colleague irritated and unfriendly. As a result, orders were mixed up or forgotten several times. Instead of understanding or an apology, we received a rude "Yes, that's coming." Other guests also seemed irritated and had to ask several times. I understand that not every start goes perfectly – but a friendly tone should still be a given.

I will never order from Mutti fröhlich sich again. The food arrived cold, as the courier probably made a dozen other stops beforehand. The mayonnaise had a pungent, sour smell, which is no surprise when it's not transported refrigerated in summer temperatures. This posed a huge health risk. The burger and fries were also inedible (cold and soggy); I had to throw the whole thing away!

A tiny snack bar in the train station area, right next to the tram stop. As tiny as it is, it's also very special. Bowls, burgers, and fries with a regional twist. We had a really good yet light bowl, which was made from scratch due to a special request, a delicious bacon burger, and fries. A great idea that makes you wonder why you hadn't thought of it yourself. The only thing we didn't see was a mother. Instead, we did meet two very friendly young ladies (on a shift change) who, as far as I could tell, do their job very well.

The (vegan) oriental Buddha Bowl with raspberry vinaigrette was super delicious, the service was really friendly, and I'll be back next time for the dumpling fries—I have to try them!

Surprisingly good place for being a train station fast food joint! Food was quite tasty. Best of the food options in the Erfurt HBF area.

Update from May 24th: Why aren't you open on Saturdays anymore? I used to almost always come on Saturdays, but now it seems impossible?! Unfortunately, that's losing a star! The "Mutti fröhlich sich" snack bar is small but nice and located in Erfurt Central Station, but also a bit away from the platforms. The ambiance seems a bit narrow, but quite inviting. The main focus is on the huge menu. There are also a few places to sit. Most of the employees are friendly, but some are a bit rude to you (please work on that!). The food tastes quite good and tasty, but not exceptional. Nevertheless, I would recommend this snack bar as a good McDonald's alternative, and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality.

Me and my girlfriend were there when we had a change at Erfurt HBF, we had the pulled pork fries, we've never had such delicious fries! Definitely a recommendation

Mega big burger, awesome (looks like homemade) bun, homemade smashed patty (also big) and fresh vegetables. Sauce was great too. A really VERY good burger!!! Location is very central but the surrounding area is not that great (train station from the outside) but everything else is great.

We booked the food truck for an event. Great catering! We were completely satisfied and so were our customers/guests. 😊 Good recommendation for events.

Ordered to go. The food was ready quickly. However, there was no ketchup/mayonnaise with the fries (at least none was offered) and no fork was added to the pulled pork. The cheeseburger and fries were delicious though.

Located outside the station building, at the tram stop at the entrance to platform 1 We were there. Possibility of eating at a high table. Both burgers tasted excellent. The Thuringian bratwurst burger with warm red cabbage is a cool combination The pulled beef burger was also very tasty. We didn't know about dumpling dough fries before. An interesting variant. But too greasy for us from the deep fryer. Service friendly.

Incredibly bad service and bad burgers. We ordered two Moving Mountain Cheeseburgers and got two falafel burgers instead without comment. When I asked why we got different burgers than the ones we ordered, they just said that the burgers we ordered were no longer available. So you knowingly get fake burgers here, but get a higher priced burger... Fun fact: The falafel burgers don't even taste good. The operator couldn't even bring himself to apologize and just pointed out that the prices on the menu weren't right anyway and that the falafel burger was actually the more expensive one. Just an absolute disgrace. The only good thing was the fries. The rest is just underground.

The chicken legs are good. I also had good experiences with the pulled chicken burger. Some of the staff are very friendly and some of them are not. My experiences have fluctuated a lot over the last few months. Unfortunately, the fries with avocado and sour cream didn't convince me at all. The avocado cream with tomato pieces was definitely not homemade and didn't taste fresh. Unfortunately, the portion of sour cream was also rather reserved.

The name piqued my interest and convinced me. If you're looking for a quick, delicious burger on the go, this is the place for you. Great meat, great brioche, quick preparation, and friendly service! Always happy to come back! With that in mind: "Mom will be happy!"

The burger looked really good, but I didn't like the burger patties at all, as if they were frozen from Aldi. In my opinion the place has more potential if they use better burger patties.

Wonderful good evening, We ordered from Mutti is happy via its own website. Compared to lieferando 2eu cheaper. We ordered 3 burgers and 1x pulled chicken fries. One of the burgers with dumplings, the other with normal fries. It arrived on time and everything was still warm! Pulled Chicken Fries: First of all, I find it misleading. I thought they were innovative here and managed to make fries out of pulled chicken. But it was pulled chicken with fries. You could insert a '+' here. I didn't find the chicken itself that tasty (2/5). The fries, no matter which ones, were all still crispy and super tasty! Just the right amount of spice powder. (5/5) Burger: unfortunately only one burger kept its shape. The others were a little crushed, but that didn't hurt the taste. The cheeseburger and crispy chicken burger were super tasty, although personally there was a little too much (tasty) sauce for me. (5/5) At first we feared that there would be too little. Burger + fries are more than enough (there will probably be a portion of fries left over). All in all very tasty food. I can recommend ordering accordingly!

It would be really great if the potato salad didn't drip with mayonnaise forever. I could also buy a package of ready-made stuff from a discount store; it tastes just as bad but is much cheaper. A few fresh dishes instead of just deep fryers and grills wouldn't be bad either.

I think the burger was very good. I would eat there again. What could be improved is the seating, which is very limited. But overall, it was very tasty.

Outstanding! We wanted to go somewhere for a quick bite before our train left when we stumbled upon this gem. Incredibly creative and original menu with small dishes for every taste! Whether classic Thuringian, trendy or vegan - everything is available! Open atmosphere, few seats but the opportunity to watch the preparation directly. The owner was just training a new colleague and offered tips that could be attributed to fine dining, a really great thing! I can really recommend it and will definitely come back!

A culinary highlight at the glittering worlds at the Hohenfelden reservoir Today I had the pleasure of trying out a Hamburg food truck at the Glitter Worlds at the Hohenfelden reservoir - and I have to say, it was an absolute highlight! I was particularly excited about the “Citizen of the World” with a deer patty. The meal was a real pleasure: the venison patty was wonderfully juicy, perfectly seasoned and went well with the fresh, high-quality ingredients. The bread was soft, yet slightly crunchy and rounded off the taste perfectly. Every bite was a taste explosion that you won't soon forget. If you are at Glitter Worlds, you should definitely try this food truck. A clear recommendation from me – here we cook with attention to detail!

Very very tasty fries: cross fried, not too thick or too thin and well seasoned. The Moving Mountain Cheeseburger has a very tasty sauce, thin red onions, soft bread. Highly recommended!

A bit cramped in the restaurant and 10€ for a citizen in a fast food restaurant is also quite expensive. But the food itself was very good, so if you're happy to spend more money, that's great. Service was also good, I ordered for x:50 p.m. and when I arrived at 48 it was ready (in a bag in a cupboard to keep it warm. But as usual everywhere, the citizen was relatively small so I don't think an 18+ year old would like that one gets fed up.

Unfortunately, meat in Burgers is not fresh. After eating we had a stomach ache. So I don’t recommend “Mom is happy in Erfurt” at all.

Full of joyful disappointment🤨 we chose a city trip to Erfurt and chose this snack bar because of gluten-free food, the burger rolls were dry, as was the meat, the dumpling fries were just greasy, yuck, the boss was sitting in the snack bar with a laptop and "Secretary" while an employee had to fight her way through the ordering and production and there was an eternally long waiting time, and it was also freezing cold because the door was wide open and the boss kept opening it, even though the guests closed it because you don't eat like that could. Thumbs down, not suitable for children and I would say the fries and the friendly lone warrior at the counter were the best part of the visit. Help is not recommended, especially for the appearance of the boss who does his office stuff in the snack bar and doesn't take up enough space in the store anyway and doesn't even help his overworked colleague

It was our first time eating there. It's a cute little shop but you can chat and enjoy the food despite the train traffic. The selection is large but still clear and the quality is top. The service was also great and you felt comfortable. Unfortunately, the table wasn't as nice as it used to be from the guests, but I see that as a snapshot and therefore not a bad thing. What I think is great is the little lemon cloth for cleaning your hands. Something like that makes a difference and shows that the guests here are important to you. A visit is worth it

Update 8/16/24: The boss apologized straight away the next day and was very accommodating to us. Thank you very much for that. Ordered again today and everything was good and tasty. The dumpling fries are a blast 🤤. Therefore I change the rating to ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Thanks! 07/21/24 We ordered food for two people via a delivery service 10 minutes before closing time. Which wasn't intentional because I didn't pay attention to the time when ordering online. The business may want to consider adjusting the ordering times for the delivery service accordingly! The store called 15 minutes after placing the order and said they were closed. I should contact the delivery service so I can get my money back. You would also notify the delivery service and cancel the delivery. Basically it's not an issue, BUT the store did NOT cancel my order and simply marked my order as delivered. Are you guys still okay? So my money was nicely collected, but I didn't receive any delivery! I now have to deal with the delivery service and explain why my “delivered delivery” supposedly didn’t arrive in order to get my money back. That's pretty outrageous and therefore the last time for us that we ordered from mom....!

I actually wanted to upload a picture of the burger, but it was too tasty and I suddenly ate it all. I've had a few burgers and this was definitely one of the best. I had the beef burger with extra cheese, everything was just right. Buns were crispy and fluffy, the cheese was half-melted in a perfect way, the patty was super juicy, there was enough sauce so that there was something everywhere but you didn't get your hands dirty, the salad and vegetables were crisp and fresh and the bacon was smoky and... crispy. It may sound exaggerated but there was simply nothing to complain about. The staff was also very friendly and the burger was prepared quickly. If you want to eat inside, you shouldn't be afraid of claustrophobia, it might get tight. I will probably 100% recommend eating here whenever we are in the area ❤️

I ordered 2 burgers for my girlfriend. Vegan with extra avocado & bacon burger with extra barbeque sauce. The vegan burger was OK, but here comes it! The bacon burger was surprisingly very, very tasty! Rolls just right, subtle, greasy, shiny and fluffy, beef crispy on the outside, salad nice and fresh, barbeque sauce as it should be, tomato, cucumber & red onions. No pickled cucumber!!! My taste buds were completely satisfied. I'll try everything 😋. For vegan burgers, you should go for crispy fried falafel like at Ibras on Maienbergstrasse. Then that would be perfect too. You can even choose whether it's vegetarian or vegan! Everyone should be full of the burgers she offers! A very nice size. Delivery service was very friendly via Ubereats. For me it's the best bacon burger in Erfurt!!! & yes I know Faustfood, yes I know that thing in Anger 1, only Pier 37 on the Long Bridge can top it. Peter Pan & the other chains can go home!!! Everyone can figure out for themselves that the atmosphere in the underpass near the main station isn't the best. I give the store 5 out of 5 stars because of the bacon burger with 1x additional barbecue sauce on it, because that's what a burger should be. It's not nearly as expensive as the Peter Pan dry roll burger chain. Let it taste in this sense. 🍀🥳🧘‍♂️👍☀️😋👌❤️

If you haven't eaten here yet, you've missed something in Erfurt. A super quick snack in the Thuringian style. The burgers are very tasty and the dumpling fries are awesome. Goulash with dumplings always works, even if it comes with cardboard packaging because of the Wessis. The potato pancakes are made with love and they even put a lot of thought into the packaging because there is always a piece of baking paper in between. I recommend a bratwurst or a GDR burger with dumpling fries and you know that the East stands for quality. In addition, the customer definitely comes first here.

I was surprised at how good the cheeseburger was and also the fries. This was certainly not the last visit. You can also eat on site, but there isn't a lot of space.

I was here with my kids yesterday evening while we were briefly in town. The dumpling fries were super tasty! At the recommendation of the very nice waitress, we tried applesauce and truffle mayo with it. Both fit perfectly. We also had cheeseburgers and chicken burgers. My daughter said it was the best cheeseburger in Erfurt so far. I see it that way too :D I specifically asked about the buns, they are from the bakery Thieme! We would be happy to come by again or have something delivered to us. Next time I'll try the Thuringia Burger.

The pulled beef burger was really good. The consistency of the meat was also really great A little tip: since the normal fries don't come with any sauce, just eat the burger over the fries and you'll have a fantastic sauce spilled on the fries. The shop itself is small and nice. There's also a great atmosphere.

A great fast food joint for all burger lovers! I haven't been a fan of dumpling fries before, but these convinced me - a unique and delicious alternative to the usual fries. The combination of the crispy outer layer and the soft interior was simply delicious. The shop is small, but sufficient for a short break. Everything seems very clean and the staff is friendly. Definitely coming back soon. Then try the burgers ;)
