We celebrated our wedding at the beautiful Mühlenhof last Saturday and are still absolutely thrilled. From the outdoor ceremony in the Bedouin tent, which allowed us to hold the ceremony despite the less-than-ideal weather, to the venue and the food, everything was perfect. Both the planning and the celebration were flawlessly organized and incredibly welcoming. We and our guests felt so comfortable and are so glad we were able to experience this special day with you. The location is beautiful, the food was beyond first-class, and the service was truly outstanding. The feedback from our guests confirmed this. We celebrated our wedding here with 24 guests, and it was wonderful! The location is stunning. Everything was beautifully decorated for us, according to our taste and as discussed. The food was fantastic, top-notch, beautifully presented, and generous portions. All of the guests were thrilled. And 6 stars for the service! We received such loving and attentive service, everything arrived on time. A waitress was constantly checking in with the guests, making sure everyone was happy, always making sure we had everything we needed. Truly top-notch! We highly recommend this location, the food, the decor team, and the service! Everyone did an absolutely fantastic job!

We got married in a very small group at the Mühlenhof under a large tree. The Mühlenhof team, especially Christian, went out of their way to make the day exactly what we wanted. A truly wonderful place for such a special day, highly recommended!

Many thanks to the entire team at the Mühlenhof Kalkar. On July 19, 2025, we were guests at an enchanting wedding at the Mühlenhof. The ambiance is fantastic. The entire staff was incredibly welcoming, and the food was wonderful. It's especially noteworthy that two of us three have histamine intolerance, and we received a meal that was as delicious, lovingly prepared, and specially tailored to our needs as ever. The Mühlenhof's caterers made several phone calls in advance to inquire about the details. And once we arrived, we were asked several times if everything was okay and what else they could bring us. Simply fantastic :-))) Whether it was Mr. Heselmann as the chef, his mother-in-law, Christian from the kitchen, or our lovely waitress Andrea (I hope I haven't forgotten anyone), they all contributed to an unforgettable day for us. And our lovely hosts, Lisa and Bastian, were delighted too. Keep up the good work at the Mühlenhof - THANK YOU :-)))

We also celebrated our wedding at the Mühlenhof. Everything was perfect! We wowed our guests with the location, the fantastic food, and the truly excellent staff. We received nothing but positive feedback from all of our guests. Everyone was thrilled. We would do it again, and it was worth every penny!

The restaurant itself has a wonderful location, and you can even enjoy the food outside if it tastes good. I had the vegan burger with steakhouse fries and the house dip. The dip tasted of nothing, the chickpea patty was soggy and fell apart, and you only tasted curry. Completely unsuitable for a burger. The fries looked good, but were unpleasantly dry, floury, and barely seasoned. The burger bun was small but much too thick, making up 85% of the burger. I was kindly offered herb curd cheese as consolation after I matter-of-factly expressed my dissatisfaction. It didn't taste like much either. I ordered sparkling water and got still water. My companion's fried potatoes were forgotten, but quickly brought back. After I expressed my dissatisfaction, the waitress stopped serving us. I would still like to say, however, that my companion really enjoyed the food. He had the golfer's crust. My second companion had the veggie burger. Here, too, the bun was as described. Except the feta cheese was disproportionately large. I'm convinced there are delicious dishes at this restaurant, but I can't recommend the burgers.

Update from March 15, 2025: Today we ate at the pizza buffet in the beautiful Mühlenhof. This is an event that is offered every now and then. A nice idea where you can try different homemade pizzas with different toppings. To finish off, we had a tiramisu. For my taste, it was missing a bit of amaretto and didn't taste like mascarpone, but it was still quite tasty. We enjoyed the pizzas. 4 out of 5 stars. The service, however, was 6 out of 5 stars. We felt so well looked after by one of the restaurant's regular waitresses. She even asked about my well-being several times because I had requested a quiet table in advance due to illness. So sweet. My partner was also impressed by her. It's always nice to stop by the Mühlenhof. Yesterday (March 26, 2023) we ate at the Mühlenhof Restaurant for the third time. We had reserved a table in advance and received a warm welcome. The service from the female waitress was excellent. She was super friendly, asked the kitchen when I had a specific question about the ingredients in a dish, and even asked if everything was okay while we were eating. She even recognized us and remembered where we had sat last year. It's rare to find such attentive, friendly staff these days. The Mühlenhof grounds are beautiful! We fell in love with it the first time we visited. An old mill, several old buildings, which have been beautifully modernized on the inside without losing their charm. There are still old/historic doors and gates everywhere, including a stained-glass door with pictures on them. Simply wonderful. Green and colorful nature surrounds us everywhere. There's also an attached golf course. There's also a beer garden where you can stop in when the weather's nice after a round of golf, on a bike ride, or even by car (there's plenty of parking!). The beer garden belongs to the Mühlenhof Restaurant. We've always had really good meals here. Mr. Heselmann and his team are creative in the kitchen without losing their down-to-earth approach. All dishes are freshly prepared for each guest. The "small side salad" is a nicely sized salad bowl. The dressings are still made in-house, even the mayonnaise is freshly made. You can't really get that anywhere else these days. Personally, I find the BBQ sauce a little too smoky and a bit too tomatoey; perhaps the chef can create a second one ;-) Because I actually love BBQ sauce. The meat quality is very good. My gastrointestinal tract always reacts very quickly to poor quality meat, especially pork. I tried the schnitzel (made with pork) yesterday, and it agreed with me. They even make it with pork fillet. It was very tender and juicy. The fried potatoes are excellent, and the sweet potato fries always taste very good. Substitutions are never a problem. And vegans and vegetarians are also offered something other than just salad. Regarding the reviews regarding prices: There isn't a restaurant that hasn't raised its prices during the pandemic and over the course of the last year, given the extreme inflation. For us, quality over quantity always counts these days. We even came all the way from Wesel. Last but not least, I wanted to thank Christian, who answered our questions about the location super nicely and in great detail. We'll definitely be back!

We celebrated our wedding here, and it's always a beautiful occasion anyway. However, the Mühlenhof team did everything to make this day a true dream for us. I would get married there again in a heartbeat and will definitely stop by for a coffee in the future, even though the journey is quite long. Not only were the event planning and the location perfect, but the support during the planning process was also very much appreciated by us as a couple. I also highly recommend enjoying the daily cooking (which is available at pre-arranged meetings). We had our civil wedding there a few days ago, and we were extremely pleased. Mr. Heselmann was very friendly and did everything he could to make us feel comfortable even without a party. (We had celebrated elsewhere.) We also had a champagne reception, and that went smoothly, too. The service was also very good. 😊 Everything went exactly as we had imagined. Yesterday we were there for a wedding and were able to spend the day there. The venue is truly beautiful and has a lot of attention to detail. The food selection was enormous, and the taste didn't detract from it. Keep up the good work, we had a great time! What good is the most beautiful beer garden if no one comes to serve you? Today, May 31, 2025, we stopped by around 12:30 and wanted to have something to eat and a drink. What a shame... it's actually a nice location.

Our wedding celebration at the Mühlenhof was exactly as we imagined. Simply fantastic. Starting with the organization, the overall atmosphere at the Mühlenhof, the flexibility of the owner, the friendly staff, and the outstanding food. One star deducted for the service, as one more server would have been helpful during peak times to keep the moderate wait time a bit shorter. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Mühlenhof!

We are musicians (Gentle Jam Acoustic Duo) and took a look at the Mühlenhof for our bride and groom. Christian is an absolute blessing, a perfect service provider and organizer. He has a sense of humor, can quickly pick up the camera when the photographer isn't there and always has everything under control. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, the food is delicious and the service is absolutely on point. We can wholeheartedly recommend the Mühlenhof, especially in summer - you can also get married by the lake! Magical!

We went there for the pizza buffet. The food was excellent and the service was very attentive and friendly. The tables are nice and there's plenty of space. Some background music would have been nice, but otherwise, we'd go back.

Nice and rustic atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was very rich and varied. From fresh waffles to rolls with a wide selection of toppings to Nuremberg sausages, everything is on offer. The service was very good, a waitress always came to the table every now and then to take care of things. All in all, a very successful breakfast with good service for a fair price.

We celebrated our wedding at the Mühlenhof and everything was just perfect! Jörg and the entire team at Mühlenhof gave us and our guests an unforgettable day. The location is just great and offers a variety of options. A highlight for us was that we were able to have our wedding ceremony and champagne reception in the inner courtyard at the end of October in summery weather. The hall inside is very cozy and even with more than 80 people it was still a relaxed atmosphere. During the preparation period, Jörg repeatedly said that he wanted to impress our guests and he more than achieved that! The food was exactly what we wanted and everyone was thrilled without exception. We would particularly like to highlight the great service; no glass was ever empty and no one had to wait long. On June 23rd, 24 we went to brunch with 26 guests in the beautifully located Mühlenhof in the tent-covered courtyard. Rich buffet, good drinks and, above all, always friendly staff. Above all, the children had free run. Guests were very enthusiastic. Thank you very much and keep it up! Unfortunately, we had already had completely different experiences with a previously planned restaurant in terms of friendliness and attitude to services.

Due to the beautiful location with the flexible options (wedding at the lake, on the meadow in front of the mill or protected from the weather in the great courtyard) and Jörg's friendly and pleasant manner, we quickly decided on the Mühlenhof as our wedding location and were not disappointed. Our day was perfectly organized and we could fully rely on the well-coordinated team. Everyone was absolutely helpful, courteous and friendly at all times - whether during the preparation the day before or on the wedding day itself. Every wish was implemented immediately. The great service and the delicious food were also praised several times by all of our guests. We would choose and recommend the Mühlenhof as a location again and again and would like to thank the entire team for making our day so unforgettable!

I became aware of the Mühlenhof restaurant through an advert for the great menu on Facebook. Yesterday the three of us were there. As a starter we had the homemade bread variations and the falafel, as the main course we had two normal and one veggie burgers, with fries and sweet potato fries and as dessert there was the "Choclate Overkill" bubble waffle. What can I say? The location is beautiful, the food was delicious and the service was great - friendly, attentive and humorous. The only thing missing was some background music in the room where we ate. :-) Gladly again! 👌

Der Mühlenhof ist einer meiner Lieblings-Adressen, vom Essen bis hin zum Team ist jeder Abend ein gelungener. Das Team um Jörg ist immer bestens gelaunt und das Essen ist mehr als 5 Sterne wert. Als Dienstleister fühlt man sich immer wie zu Hause.

Wir haben unsere Hochzeit im September 2023 in der wunderschönen Location am Mühlenhof gefeiert. Und wir können nur eins dazu sagen, das war die Beste Entscheidung. Ein wirklich sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal und ein noch hervorragender Chef, Jörg Heselmann. Wir wurden offen und herzlich empfangen und konnten über all unsere Wünsche reden, die uns natürlich auch erfüllt wurden. Das Essen war einfach der Hammer. Man konnte es schmecken mit wie viel Herzblut man hier das Essen zubereitet. Auch all unsere Gäste waren mehr als zufrieden. Alles in allem ein wunderschöner Tag und wir können dieses nur weiterempfehlen.

Sehr schönes altes historisches Haus. Das Essen ist ausgefallen und ausgesprochen lecker. Wir waren vor Ort aufgrund einer Hochzeit, alles sehr schön hergerichtet und eine tolle nette schnelle Bedienung. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder. Vielen Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Tag mit einer wundervollen freien Trauung und anschließender Feierlichkeit.

Unsere Hochzeit am Mühlenhof war perfekt! Diese Location ist ein absoluter Traum für eine Hochzeit. Es ist alles sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Das Vorgespräch mit Jörg war locker und lustig. Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Auch am Tag der Vorbereitung wurden wir herzlich empfangen. Der Mühlenhof als Location hat uns durch seine große Vielfalt überzeugt. Man hat verschiedene Möglichkeiten, wo man seine freie Trauung machen kann. Wir hatten unsere freie Trauung am See. Einfach traumhaft! Auch die Gäste waren alle begeistert, von dem Trauplatz am See. Auch dass sie es noch nie erlebt haben auf einer Hochzeit mit dem Golfcart zu fahren. Die Location/der Innenhof begeisterte durch seine einladende, romantische Atmosphäre. Im Innenhof hatte man viele gemütliche Ecken, wo man gemütlich sitzen konnte. Natürlich waren auch alle von dem Essen begeistert, sowohl wie es angerichtet war, als auch vom Geschmack. Zum Teil kamen Aussagen wie ,, so ein tolles Fleisch habe ich noch nirgends gegessen“. Auch das gesamte Team des Mühlenhofs, sowohl die Köche als auch die Bedienung waren immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es wurde immer nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Alles in allem kann man sagen, wenn man sich eine romantische, perfekte und kulinarische Hochzeit wünscht, ist man hier genau richtig! Es hat an Nichts gefehlt. Danke an das gesamte Team vom Mühlenhof und besonders an Jörg! Wir kommen definitiv wieder :).

Mein Mann und ich haben hier im Oktober 2022 geheiratet. Ich könnte einen ganzen Roman schreiben, in dem ich aufliste, wie schön und gelungen UNSER Tag, dank des freundlichen und kompetenten Personals und des Chefs Jörg Heselmann, war. Kurz gefasst lässt sich sagen: -sehr nettes Personal -es wurde sich genügend Zeit genommen, für Besprechungen und Planungen -Preise sind, gemessen an der aktuellen Situation, angemessen (die Feier war jeden Cent wert) -sehr sehr leckeres und hochwertiges Essen -und und und... Grob gesagt für zukünftige Paare, oder anderweitige Veranstaltungen: Rundum Sorglos-Paket am Tag der Hochzeit. Durch das zuverlässige Personal und die schnelle Umsetzung von spontanen Wünschen etc. konnten wir sehr entspannt und sorglos unsere Traumhochzeit genießen. Sehr empfehlenswert! Alles Liebe JP

Wir haben vor kurzem am Mühlenhof unsere Hochzeit gefeiert. Es war wirklich einfach perfekt! Das Ambiente, die Unterstützung bei den Vorbereitungen, das Personal und gerade das Essen war fantastisch. Wir waren gestern, nachdem wir vor einigen Wochen als Gäste zu einer perfekt ausgerichteten Hochzeit im Mühlenhof eingeladen waren, das erste mal mit der Familie im Restaurant essen. Es war alles sehr gut, frisch zubereitet und preislich vollkommen im Rahmen.Vom Service über das Essen und auch mit der Location selber waren wir sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

Als wir uns die Location am Mühlenhof angeschaut haben stand außer Frage, dass das der Ort ist an dem wir gerne heiraten möchten, wenn denn alles andere drum herum auch passt. Und das hat es. Von der Vorbereitungszeit bis zum großen Tag selbst hat alles wirklich großartig funktioniert. Die gemeinsame Planung mit dem Lieben Jörg Heselmann hat uns immer viel Spaß gemacht und natürlich Vorfreude bereitet. Auch die Zusammenarbeit mit den anderen Dienstleistern hat problemlos funktioniert. Man hat wirklich gemerkt das der Mühlenhof schon einige Hochzeiten organisiert hat und man sich überhaupt keine Gedanken machen muss, die Planung des großen Tages ist definitiv in guten Händen. An unserem Großen Tag im August lief auch einfach alles perfekt. Bei über 30 Grad, war für genug Schatten und kalte Getränke gesorgt. Der Service war spitze und das Essen war einfach einmalig! Es gibt keinen Punkt den man bemängeln könnte, das ist auch das Feedback das wir von unseren Gästen immer wieder bekommen haben. Alle waren schlichtweg begeistert. Lieber Jörg, liebes Mühlenhof Team, Danke für die Bereitstellung einer perfekten Location für eine traumhafte Hochzeit. Ihr seid ein sehr nettes und zuvorkommenden Team, ganz besonders der liebe Christian, der uns durch das Hochzeits- Wochenende begleitet hat. Es blieb wirklich kein Wunsch aus, wir haben den Tag sehr genossen & das Essen hat alle verzaubert. Super freundliches Personal, leckerer Kuchen und Kaffeespezialitäten, Speisekarte mega (für jeden was dabei) Und die Terasse ist total gemütlich.

Vor über einem Jahr lernte ich das Restaurant am Mühlenhof kennen, was ein besonderer Zufall war, da mein Mann und ich nach einer Location für unsere Hochzeit gesucht hatten,was direkt am Restaurant mit dran hängt, aber dazu mehr in einer späteren Rezession, die ich noch für den Mühlenhof selber schreiben werde 😁. Für Liebhaber von hochqualitativen Fleischgerichten bis hin zu veganen und megaguten, saisoniellen Kreationen ist hier für jeden was dabei, was mit sehr viel Liebe frisch zubereitet wird 🤤. Der liebe Jörg Heselmann selber legt ein sehr gutes Handwerk in der Küche an und zaubert mit seinen, ebenfalls super freundlichen Mitarbeitern jeden Kunden ein Lächeln ins Gesicht 🤗👍🏻

Sehr freundliches Personal toller Biergarten, super leckeres Essen.

Das Essen war lecker, der Service war gut und freundlich. Auf der Karte ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei, trotzdem wird man nicht von einer Übermenge an verschiedenen Speisen "erschlagen". Leider waren wir an einem Freitagabend die einzigen Gäste, was das Restaurant-Feeling geschmälert hat. Hinweis: der Kühlschrank in dem Gastraum, in dem wir saßen war aufgrund der Lüftergeräusche etwas störend.
