Ratskeller Kalkar in Kalkar

Anlass war ein Essen mit Geschäftspartnern. Ich hatte Tafelspitz mit Rahmwirsing und Kartoffeln mit der superleckersten Meerrettich Soße, die ich bisher serviert bekam. Auch der Tafelspitz war sehr gut und zart. Der Wirsing hat das positive Geschmackserlebnis abgerundet. Ambiente stilvoll, Service sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Klare Empfehlung.

Ein super Ambiente und leckeres Essen!

Super Restaurant. Essen war mega lecker! Personal Freundlich und das Ambiente in den alten Gemäuern auch super schön!

Ich hatte ein schlecht gebratenes Wienerschnitzel dazu pommes frites. Lieblos angerichtet und ich mußte auch noch nachwürzen. Mein Mann hatte Tagelspitz Die Meerrettichsauce war geschmacklos auch hier fehlte die Würze. Das Ambiente war ok Bedienung freundlich

Ich habe bei einem Überraschungswochenende für Freunde einen Tisch reserviert. (Durfte mich ausleben um die beiden zu überraschen) Die Mitarbeiter des Ratskeller haben echt mit allem mitgedacht, sind super freundlich und haben echt für einen unvergesslichen Abend für die beiden gesorgt. 🥰 Zitat: " die Atmosphäre im Ratskeller, das leckere Essen, der Super Service und freundliches Personal. Ausgezeichnetes Essen, schöne Weinkarte, ausgesprochen netter Service und sowohl der Außenbereich als auch der wunderbare Gewölbekeller sind einen Besuch wert.

Als mein Mann und ich meine Schwiegereltern zum Muttertag besuchten, erlebten wir einen ziemlich unangenehmen Abend. Die stark gewürzte Meeresfrüchte-Pasta mit viel Knoblauch roch unangenehm, und wir mussten sofort wieder gehen. Zu allem Übel waren die Kellnerinnen unhöflich und unprofessionell und fragten uns nicht einmal nach unserer Bestellung. Wir fühlten uns dort überhaupt nicht willkommen und waren noch verärgerter über das unberechenbare Verhalten meiner Schwiegereltern. Wir fühlten uns beim Essen nicht wohl und wollten unsere Schwiegereltern auch nicht mitbringen. Wir konnten der toxischen Atmosphäre, die durch das unberechenbare Verhalten meiner schwer alkoholkranken Schwiegereltern entstanden war, glücklicherweise entkommen! Positiv hervorzuheben ist jedoch das schöne Ambiente des Restaurants, das sich hervorragend für besondere Anlässe wie Pärchenessen, Familienfeiern und Treffen zu viert eignet. Wir hoffen aber, dass der Kundenservice in Zukunft verbessert wird!

War hier heute zum ersten Mal und ich finde es im Ratskeller urgemütlich,dieses Gewölbe macht richtig was her es sorgt für ein super Ambiente,dazu ein super Service,die Bedingungen sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend,zum krönenden Abschluss ein Essen welches so in der Umgebung seines gleichen sucht. Für jemanden der gutes Essen in einem tollen Ambiente sucht,ist dieses Restaurant absolut empfehlenswert.

Absolut bestes Restaurant in der Gegend, das Essen hat eine top Qualität und ies gibt nie etwas zu bemängeln. Der Service ist der beste den ich je erlebt habe und das Ambiente strahlt Gemütlichkeit und Tradition aus. 5 Sterne!!!

Ein sehr edles Ambiente. Die Tische sahen aus, als wären sie für eine Hochzeit eingedeckt. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen war köstlich. Es war rundum ein sehr schöner Abend.

Am Sonntag mit 4 Personen vorreservierter Tisch mit Säule als Trennung so das eine gemütliche Unterhaltung nicht möglich war. Rindfleischsuppe total versalzen. Rinder Carpaccio schwamm in Essig…nicht genießbar. Trotz Reklamation keine Reaktion….. Kalbsschnitzel waren gut. Service für diese gehobene Gastronomie sehr bedenkenswert. Weder Getränke noch Nachtisch oder Kaffee Nachfrage. Erwartungshaltung bei weitem nicht erfüllt.

Ein klassischer Ratskeller in einem schönen Gewölbe mit guter deutsch-internationaler Küche. Alle Produkte sind selbstgemacht und von überdurchschnittlicher Qualität. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Was für ein tolles Restaurant! Ich war nun binnen sechs Wochen zum zweiten Mal hier, dieses mal auf Einladung meines Schwiegervaters, vor sechs Wochen mit beruflichen Gästen. Für beide Anlässe ist der Ratskeller die perfekte Anlaufstelle. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und vor allem aufmerksam. Mit sechs Personen hatten wir vier verschiedene Hauptspeisen, die von allen hervorragende Resonanz bekamen. Auch die Vor- und Nachspeisen waren wirklich klasse. Das Ambiente in einem Gewölbekeller ist darüber hinaus wirklich sehr schön. Wir haben direkt für unseren Hochzeitstag im Mai wieder reserviert!

Wir haben dieses Restaurant am Valentinstag besucht. Die Atmosphäre war angenehm und die Tische waren wunderschön gedeckt. Die bestellten Gerichte waren nicht schlecht, entsprachen aber nicht ganz meinen Erwartungen. Carpaccio war zu stark mit Balsamico-Essig gewürzt, wodurch der Fleischgeschmack völlig überdeckt wurde. Die Tomatenhautrose sah schön aus, aber natürlich habe ich sie nicht gegessen, weil die mir nicht schmeckte. Das Fischgericht war gewöhnlich, nichts Besonderes. Die Garnelen waren etwas gummiartig. Das argentinische Steak war gut.

Schönes Ambiente. Freundlicher Service und sehr gutes Essen.

Nicht günstig aber sein Geld wert. Leckeres Essen bei sehr netter und kompetenter Bedienung in einem außergewöhnlichem Ambiente. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Einmaliges Ambiente, sehr freundlicher Service, sehr gutes Essen und eine gute Weinauswahl. Eine echte Empfehlung.

Wir gehen seit Jahren am Weihnachtsfeiertag in den Ratskeller. Das Essen an sich ist immer sehr gut. Ich bin jedoch seit 4 Jahren Vegetarier und die Speisekarte wurde dahingehend auch seit 4 Jahren nicht verändert. Es gibt kein vegetarisches Menü und seit Jahren nur eine Gemüselasagne als Hauptgericht. Hier erwarte ich von einem Restaurant in diesem Preissegment etwas mehr Kreativität nach 4 Jahren. Es kann doch kein Problem sein, 2-3 vegetarische Hauptgerichte anzubieten. Veganer werden hier übrigens gar nicht fündig.

Der Ratskeller in Kalkar ist ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit einer top Küche. Der Service geht auf alles ein so das man sich als Gast dort sehr wohl fühlt.

Voll, aber aufmerksame Bedienung....schade, dass der Aufenthalt zeitlich begrenzt ist, Nachtisch oder ein Käffchen nach einer besonderen Feier ist nicht drin; meine eigene Feier findet dort nicht statt!

An absolutely top-notch restaurant on the Lower Rhine. I'd been meaning to eat there for over 20 years, and I'm annoyed I didn't manage it sooner. I remember the Ratskeller from my school days; I did my school internship there. After school, I wanted to start my apprenticeship there, but unfortunately, I moved away from Kalkar. Now I'm glad that the Ratskeller, primarily because of its excellent cuisine, but also because of Kalkar itself, keeps drawing me back. It definitely has the potential to become my "favorite restaurant"!

We were delighted with the friendliness and service. We were warmly welcomed, even with our toddler. We also found the food delicious. We will definitely be back.

No, folks, at that price point you really need to deliver something special, which unfortunately wasn't the case... The location was beautiful, the staff pleasant, but the food was nothing but greasy...

Despite being a private party of over 40 people, we were served very quickly and our food arrived without delay. The service is excellent and highly recommended; we will gladly return for another meal.

I was very impressed. A beautiful ambiance paired with old cross vaults, everything is beautifully lit, and the tables are beautifully set. The service is very attentive. The food is thoughtfully prepared and served with love, and arrives very quickly. It tastes fantastic, and special requests are happily accommodated. I requested no onions and was asked, with consideration, whether I was allergic, as the dressing also contains pureed onions. Excellent. All in all, it was a very good decision to eat there. I'd be happy to return.

We went out for dinner spontaneously. We chose the Ratskeller in Kalkar. We didn't have a reservation, but they managed to get us a table. The service was top-notch. Super friendly and welcoming. The dishes we ordered were served super quickly. My steak was cooked just right. The fries were also cooked just right. Not too hard, not too soft. My wife's and son's dishes were also delicious. The ambiance is very nice. You sit in an old cross-vaulted cellar. Truly fantastic. I highly recommend this restaurant. I'd go back anytime. Thank you

Absolutely fantastic. The food was outstanding and the ambience in this ancient building dating back to the 14th century was impressive.

Simply fantastic; I haven't felt so welcome in a restaurant in a long time. Top-notch service, the staff are incredibly unobtrusively attentive. The food was excellent; I had pork fillet in a mushroom cream sauce, the meat cooked to perfection. On my second visit, the steak was my choice, and it was worth every cent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We've been to the Ratskeller for Saturday lunch several times, and it's always delicious, beautifully presented, and reasonably priced. The service is friendly and professional, and the ambiance in the basement of the Old Town Hall is charming. I highly recommend it!

The Ratskeller Kalkar is recommended for food and drink. A table reservation is also advisable! You immediately feel like a councilor. :-)

Yes, a great meal in a beautiful atmosphere Outside the market square and inside the old cellar vault. But without a reservation, little or nothing works.

We were a small group and had ordered our respective meals 2 hours in advance. The good reputation of the house can be confirmed. Beautifully set tables plus floral decorations. This was my third time in the Ratskeller and I have never been disappointed. The old vault and the furnishings are simply great! The waitresses are very attentive and the food is a poem. I had a goose leg and it was soooo delicious! Full marks and my recommendation!

Sustainability and respect for food and possible wishes of the guest are missing. Breakfast buffet of a building company, was cleared away and disposed of... DOES IT HAVE TO BE THAT WAY !? Roast beef, salmon, cold cuts, fresh bread and fruit salad, cheese platter...everything in the bin. When asked, the short answer was “We never do that!” (Ask the guest if they would like to take something with them) VERY VERY PATH...and that with high-quality gastronomy and a beautiful location. . extremely disturbs the overall picture

Over-salted fried potatoes, redfish fillet is not recommended in terms of taste. My wife's food was good, so the rating is relatively good. Oh… without asking, drinks are served in half liter glasses 🫤

Frische Pfifferlinge mit Bandnudeln sowie ein "Senioren-Teller" mit Schweinemedaillon haben uns voll überzeugt. Schmackhafte Sauce und ein frisch angerichteter Beistellsalat. Schöner Blick von der Terrasse auf den Marktplatz, eine freundliche Bedienung, noch moderate Preise. Der Ratskeller hat seinen Spitzenplatz in Kalkar völlig zurecht.

Mit Freunden ein herrliches Essen genossen. Bedienung freundlich, tolle Tischdeko Essen hervorragend. Besser kann eine Leber mit Portwein und Äpfel nicht serviert werden. Auch die anderen Gerichte waren vorzüglich. Kommen gerne wieder
