After the service at Moskito had always seemed a bit rough in the past, we were pleasantly surprised this time. Specifically, we pointed out to the (new) waitress that there was a hair in the food (which unfortunately can happen from time to time). She reacted in an exemplary manner, took the matter absolutely seriously, apologized several times and offered a replacement. - Also with the note that the new preparation in the kitchen would be prioritized and implemented quickly. Good quality home cooking at a reasonable price

German home cooking, a bit international and a huge selection. I was invited to a birthday dinner. My initial skepticism about the situation quickly turned into enthusiasm. The service was refreshingly great. The table was even decorated a little without being asked. I go there more often now.

Wow, Girls meeting in the Mosquito! With optimal transport connections via public transport. A meeting in a comfortable and well-kept atmosphere. There is also a very nice outdoor terrace. Toilets picobello! The menu is clear and everyone can quickly find their dish and favorite drink. Our service was very attentive and quick. Everything came to the table in a short time. The portions were good and the dishes were nicely presented. Everyone enjoyed it. The price-performance ratio is right. It was a great afternoon that lasted until the evening. An integral part of the map of good taste. Keep it up 👍

Classic German neighbourhood restaurant, really popular among the locals. It is almost always full and people seem to come here both for food or just drinks. The menu is quite varied and offers a lot of options, mostly German dishes, but also fish as well. The staff is really friendly, we haven't checked if they speak English since we managed with our basic German. If you are near the Zoo Park, I do recommend checking it.

We expected more from the food as we had had good experiences here before. Unfortunately, that has changed. The grill plate for 21 euros was sparsely filled. The meat was tough and dry and was difficult to cut. There was also a tiny blob of coleslaw on the plate (the taste was straight out of the bucket, nothing homemade.) The few fries on a grill plate at such a price were also extremely small. The service was friendly, but we won't be coming back for dinner. For a few euros more or even the same price, we ate better in the surrounding restaurants. Another thing about the location: you can sit inside or outside. Outside, however, directly at the intersection, the view of the intersection is obscured by green plants.

The food is great, but you shouldn't forget that you're in a home-style restaurant. The service is great, the drinks are there straight away, super friendly, no faults. The economy quickly becomes quite noisy, but otherwise very well maintained. Absolutely clear recommendation! PS: Seasonal cuisine is available (mussels, duck, etc.)

We always like to come back for a delicious key drink, schnitzel, for example, top class, all meat dishes are recommended, I personally have nothing on vegetarian dishes... delicious 🍺 and meat and super nice waitresses... all of it and you sit perfectly inside and when it gets warmer, outside. That's not how you treat guests and that's not how you treat employees, at least not if you're a professional in the catering industry. As a company, you have to be able to afford staff that treat guests in this way in the long term. Maybe it would be good if the owner were there more often. I've been wanting to visit this place for a long time, especially since it's in a pretty prominent location on Brehmplatz and it caught my eye every time I got on or off the train(s). The opportunity finally arose on February 20, 2024. The waitress welcomed me in a friendly manner and pointed out to me that card payments were only possible from an amount of €20 onwards. (When will German gastronomy reach international standards in this respect?!? ) I ordered a red house wine (5.90), which was unfortunately a bit too sour. The liver “Berliner Style” (€15.90) ​​came very quickly - considering it was an a' la carte order. Had it already been stored somewhere? Almost acceptable! Because the three pieces of liver were anything but tender. Quite dry in the middle and the edges are “crisp” hard. The apple pieces advertised by the waitress (“No applesauce!”) were thin and exactly three in number, covered by a generously thick onion sauce. I definitely won't want to satisfy my appetite for liver in this restaurant again. Will I dare to visit again if I live in the neighborhood? I doubt it!

Drinks way too expensive. for a 0.2l glass of Altbier €2.70 and a small 0.25l glass of water €3.00. I didn't eat, so I can't rate the food. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

I went back to Moskito today after a while and was negatively surprised. The restaurant was almost empty. But polite as I am, instead of looking for a seat, I went up to the waitress and told her that I had an appointment with a friend, but we hadn't made a reservation. Although there were hardly any guests there, we were given one of the worst tables - namely in the draft. At least the drink I ordered was brought promptly. However, the water bottle was sealed and placed on the table. I couldn't get it open. The waitress couldn't be found, so I had to ask the employee behind the counter for help. When my friend came, she had to wait a long time for her coke. Even now there were still a few better tables available. We had no objection to the food. It was flawless. Overall, I would only give it a grade of "3" because the service needs improvement.

Wir sind fast jeden Samstag hier. Heute war eine Unverschämtheit. Alle Toiletten verstopft und nicht zugänglich. Dieses Lokal darf nicht öffnen, das interessiert keinen auch nicht die Aufsichtsbehörde trotz Info!

Hatten unter anderem Muscheln bestellt. Leider keine gute Wahl, da die Muscheln einfach nur langweilig geschmeckt haben. Keine gute Qualität, ganz klein und ganz viele bereits mit zerbrochener Schale serviert. Der Sud bestand aus Möhren und kaum Gewürz, lt. Karte mit Schwarzbrot, aber leider wurde nur Baguette dazu serviert. Das geht woanders viel besser... Die drei anderen Gerichte waren kalt :-(

Had the Gulaschsuppe with small bites of bread, and coffee. It wasn't bad - wasn't excellent, either. But fair price. Just wish they added more pieces of bread to go with all that soup. I mean, am I supposed to drink only soup after finishing the two small pieces of bread? Gimme more bread and I'd give a 4-star for the price. 🫠😂

Wir sind am Freitag Abend Klatschnass angekommen,haben uns auf ein leckeres Essen mit Cocktails auf der Terrasse gefreut.. wir haben uns gegenüber von anderen Gästen auf die Terrasse gesetzt. Die Kellnerin der Abendschicht. ( Blond ca. 50 Jahre jung ) hat uns wild gestikulierend vom weiten irgendwelche nicht verständlichen Gesten zugewunken. Wir würden darauf hin 10min ignoriert bis ich ihn den Laden gegangen und gefragt habe wieso wir nicht bedient werden. Zitat: weil's Regnet. Eine kurze Begrüßung und eine Erklärung kann ich von einen Gastgeber doch erwarten. Wird wieder Zeit für neues Personal Herr Kovacic🤔

Gestern Nachmittag dort "zu Besuch" gewesen. Wir haben uns scheinbar auf die falsche Seite der Terrasse gesetzt und wurden von weitem von der Kellnerin mit blonden Haaren und Zopf mit einer unfreundlichen Handbewegung darauf hingewiesen. Wir haben noch weitere 5 Minuten am Tisch gewartet und die Kellnerin ist mehrmals an uns vorbeigelaufen und hat uns ignoriert. Eine unfreundliche und unprofessionelle Bedienung sowie mangelnder Service. Die Bar besuche ich kein zweites Mal!

Diese Bedienung Elke und die andere kleine Blonde, mit Pferdeschwanz gehen ja garnicht. Die sind respektlos, herablassend und missbilligend zum Kunden. So was freches gibt es nur dort. Aber das die einen beleidigen ist schon unterste Kanone! Wenn die keinen Bock mehr auf den Kunden haben oder dieser nicht, in dem Tempo SÄUFT wie sie es gerne hätten, kommt die Rechnung, also der Rausschmiss. Ist nicht, das erste Mal und wir sind auch nicht die Einzigen, die so missachtlich bedient worden. Vielleicht ist das in solchen Kneipen so üblich. Aber woanders habe ich so was noch nie erlebt. Ich denke mal, dass der Inhaber kein gescheites Personal bekommt, deshalb muss er das hinnehmen.

We ordered a beer and wanted to order snacks to go with the beer so we decided on chicken fingers. The waitress rudely told us that she couldn't, but we should order something else. I have never had such a relationship with a waiter, so rude and rude. I definitely do not recommend visiting!!!

Ich hatte gestern ein Risotto mit Pfifferlingen. Schön angerichtet, aber mal so als Tipp, sollte man die Pilze putzen, nicht waschen. Sie waren total aufgequollen und hatten keinerlei Geschmack mehr, schade! 😞

Kurzer Stop und durch Zufall dort vorbei. Direkt Platz bekommen und die Kellnerin wirklich Freundlich und sehr schnell. Trotzdem das es echt gut Besucht war. Essen ist reichhaltig und auch wirklich gut. Preis Leistung absolut top.

Ich war an einem Freitag um die Mittagszeit rum da. Bei einem schönen Wetter draußen zu sitzen ist es wirklich super. Leider habe ich nur bier getrunken, deshalb kann ich die essenskünste des Kochs nicht beurteilen kann. Schade nur, dass die biersorten nicht so meine sind.

Kartenzahlung ab 20€! Sehr nettes Restaurant im Brauhaus Stil mit modernem Stileinschlag. Das Essen umfasst neben klassischer deutscher Küche auch diverse Specials und Angebote. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und die Atmosphäre insgesamt gut.

War das erste mal da. Essen war schnell serviert. Düsseldorfer Senfrostbraten war wie bestellt Medium mit Bratkartoffeln sehr lecker. Das Bier und der Killepisch waren kalt und lecker.

Wir hatten eine sehr nette Kellnerin, die zwar neu war, aber immer sehr höflich. Der Flammkuchen war wohl lecker aber gerade am äußeren Rand leider nur spärlich belegt. Das Bierchen war kühl und ordentlich gezapft. Ambiente am Brehmplatz… schwierig, die Blumenkästen fangen einiges ab.

Leider wurden wir nicht nett bedient. Wir hatten Getränke und pommes bestellt. Die Dame fauchte uns regelrecht an das es pommes nur für kinder gäbe. Haben gefragt warum ?! Da wir nur etwas trinken wollten und etwas dazu knabbern.. Darauf sagte die Dame das der Chef das so wolle. Und ging bzw Rente nach drinnen.... danach sind wir auch direkt aufgestanden. Es geht nicht darum das wir keine pommes bekommen sondern die Art und Tonfall war nicht angemessen. Schade

Kneipenessen, aber guter Durchschnitt

Dies war bei weitem nicht mein erster Besuch und auch nicht das erste Mal, dass ich hier zum Gänseessen war, aber sicher auch nicht das letzte Mal. Teilweise ist Gans am Ende des Jahres in Düsseldorf sehr sehr teuer, aber hier kann man zu vernünftigen Preisen Gans essen und bekommt auch beilagen und Soße mehrfach nachgecheicht, wenn man dies möchte.

Prima Laden: Leckeres Bier, sehr aufmerksames Personal, Essen mit ausgewogenem Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, Lokation draußen prima, drinnen sehr schön gediegen. Ich komme wieder! 😀

Ein "gut bürgerliches" Lokal mit entsprechendem Speiseangebot. Die Mitarbeiter sind flott und zuvorkommend, man fühlt sich wohl. Auf der großen Terrasse nerven ab und an der Schienenverkehr und die Rettungsdienste, und ab ca. 15 Uhr sitzt man im Schattten. Was aber auch durchaus von Vorteil sein kann.

Immer wieder ein schöner Ort, um langjährige Freunde und Bekannte zu treffen. In der Schwemme, mit der flotten Kellnerin Katharina, ist man sehr gut aufgehoben. Das Essen, das an unserem Tisch vorbei rauschte, sah sehr gut aus, wurde aber von uns nicht berücksichtigt, da wir der flüssigen Nahrung den Vorzug gaben. Wir kommen wieder. 👍
