TAKE - THE GOOD FOOD in Düsseldorf

Food has potential but the ungodly waiting times just make it unpleasant. If I had been told that it would take almost 2 hours for 2 burgers, I would have been able to hunt, process and prepare the meat myself in that time.

So the app said 1 hour, I called and asked, the guy said "there's nothing going on, just order", yes, great job. 1.5 HOURS later... no burger, no call, nothing. I'm sitting here hungry as a wolf and still waiting. If I wanted to eat rocks, I would have gone out. Never again.

Today I ate there for the first time and ordered the drip burger. And I have to honestly say - without exaggeration - that it was the tastiest burger I have ever eaten in my life. The meat was so tender that it literally melted in your mouth. It was so juicy, so sweet and just damn delicious that I enjoyed every single bite like I was in paradise. I would really recommend him to anyone. (I would eat it every day, but unfortunately that's not possible because of the price, which is justified.)

In the event of a late order that has already taken 1:30 hours (approx. 50 euros), asking the customer about his knowledge of Spanish or becoming aggressive when asked again does not bring any money into the house. I had specially ordered from Lieferando with a specified pickup time. I was there before the specified time and shortly afterwards I was told that the order was ready for pickup. However, the employee then informed me that the order would not be prepared until you had reported there. Then why are there pick-up times? I won't be ordering there anymore

Burger tasted very tasty, but quite small. Fries unfortunately below average, looked like very old fat had been used. I have nothing against crispy fries, but they were just hard and didn't taste particularly good either. And since the side dish is almost as important to me as the "main meal", unfortunately only 3 stars. With better fries, definitely 4 stars with potential for 5.

Disaster!! The place was dirty and smelled of urine. Almost no seating at all and upstairs was closed. Do not accept card payments. Employees are sleepy and seem distracted all the time when you talk to them. Ordered a smokey burger. That was the biggest scam. The meat portion wasn't even more than 50g and the bacon was extremely dried out. Lastly, the prices are way too overpriced.

Absolute disaster! Called in advance to ask whether you can order online and which branch I have to order from (there were apparently 2) in order to be assured by the employee that you can only order from one. Ordered to pick up and paid online, drive to the store only to find yourself in front of a closed store! Then you call again only to be told by another employee that you have canceled your online order for today!!! Wasted money and time, absolutely incompetent staff and poor service That was the first and last time!

The food has potential. The man who took our order was the epitome of rude. He had absolutely no desire to do his job, and it showed. Aside from that, our trays were stolen while we were still eating, which I personally find extremely rude and annoying. On top of that, you had the feeling you were being rushed. Even though the food wasn't bad, the service and ambiance definitely left a lot to be desired!

I ordered from TAKE THE GOOD FOOD for the first time today! They were one of the tastiest burgers I've ever eaten. The food was delivered warm. The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned! However, they could still improve the delivery time. I'm still not deducting a star for that! Thanks to the whole team

Very, very tasty, fast service, and very fresh food. I highly recommend it! We traveled all the way from Mülheim an der Ruhr, and it was worth it!

Very disappointing! I recently went to Take The Good Food and I have to say it was a very bad experience. We had to wait forever before we could even order. The store was completely overcrowded and there was hardly any space to feel comfortable. The customer service was very rude. We were told the wait would be about 20 minutes, but we ended up waiting over an hour, maybe even longer. The food came an hour later, even though I was fasting during Ramadan. The fries were old and the food as a whole just didn't taste good. It was really disappointing and I definitely won't be back.

The food is really tasty, I'll be back again

The burger was very tasty. The fries had an excessive amount of salt, so 95% was returned. The coleslaw was served in a pleated pouch (see picture). My complaint was not addressed and certainly no one apologized. The ambience of a small table and 3 chairs was dirty and not comfortable at all. I can't understand all the videos on Instagram and TikTok and I wonder where they ate like that?!

Total disgrace. Over 3!!! I waited hours for my food, called 3 times and no one answered and then it was simply marked as delivered even though NOTHING arrived. This is the 4th time this has happened and also the very last time. The last few times it came after 2-3 hours, but now it just didn't come at all. The burgers are tasty, but it's not worth the wait. We then ordered from McDonald’s and it was there in 30 minutes. Not recommended and apparently I'm not the only person this happens to. You seem to have a really organized and nice team

Food doesn't taste good and the special burger is a complete disappointment, it feels like you get 1L of BBQ sauce with some meat.

Burgers are really good, so Bob&Marry has to give it their all to keep up. In short: food is great, to take away. Unfortunately, the shop is very small and the music is usually too loud - eating on site is not recommended as the young kiddies can't even close the door properly. Probably the best burger in tha hood!!!

Even on site there was a waiting time of over 40 minutes, everyone was just chatting, no one really had a plan as to what should be done. Burger taste is mediocre at best, definitely not a recommendation.

I'm from Berlin and always come to Düsseldorf specifically for the burger. The Deip burger is worth 18 euros. Anyone who says otherwise hasn't seen the world. BEST BURGER IN GERMANY. Shoutout to the staff, visit you again soon

Ordering is not recommended. Delivery 2 1/2 hours. Without information, food didn't arrive until 9:30 p.m. You were excused over the phone with “it’s just a lot going on”. The time given over the telephone was also doubled again. Not even an addition as an apology, because it seems to be common practice to accept as many orders as possible and deliver them at some point. Were very disappointed and will not order there again.

A catastrophe. The store is totally disorganized. You wait at least 2 hours for the food. You don't even need to order at the weekend. Waited 3 hours for our food so the food was cold and salty. I will never order again. It's a shame because the burgers are actually really tasty.

Staff wipe the tables with gloves and clean the tablets with a cloth. Then the burgers etc. are put together with the same gloves... if you like...

Fries were very salty and we waited well over 2 hours for our food. In addition, the food was delivered cold. An order didn't even arrive. I've never experienced anything like that, there must be something wrong organizationally?? At the weekend you can't seem to cope with the number of orders.

Very tasty smashed burgers. I think there is still room for improvement with the meat and there was a bit too much mayo on the burger, otherwise really tasty! Price performance is definitely much better than at “Five People”…

To start with, my family and I love the taste of the food, which is why we usually order once every 2 weeks. the last SEVEN orders were all incorrect. Okay, something can be missing once and twice, but with every order? On the weekend we were missing a complete burger, followed by drinks and then snacks. I always informed Wolt customer service, but nothing more than a small refund was forthcoming. No delivery, no apology. Absolutely annoying

Got our food relatively quickly and it was so delicious. It's the best smash burger I've had so far + it's halal too😍

Ate there today. Fries totally over salted but replaced upon request. 1.5€ for 1 slice of bacon is also outrageous. This one disc was also forgotten. Upon request it was put on the burger but of course the burger has now become cold. There wasn't even double chedar on it. We had to complain about the burger a second time but it was remade for us again.

I ordered just under €90 worth of Take via Uber Eats, but the experience was a complete disappointment. Delivery took over 1.5 hours and when the order finally arrived the burgers were ice cold. The burgers are as big as a cheeseburger from Mcs and don't fill you up at all. With such an order value and the extremely long waiting time, I would have at least expected a small apology like a Coke on the house. Something like that doesn't work - I definitely won't order from here again!

The food was cold, the fries were burnt. The beef in der burger was very thin. There was almost no beef in there. One slice of bacon and no barbecue sauce was in the bacon barbecue burger, also no cheese was forgotten! It was so bad, I cannot even explain it.

The burger and fries were okay, but in my opinion the shop itself was small and so were the tables. Parking situation left a lot to be desired. However, the service was good and the food was ready quite quickly.

It takes far too long for the food to arrive!

We have ordered here several times. The burgers are really tasty but unfortunately they arrived cold for the second time. We had ordered for over €30... the sweet potatoes were a disaster... the food arrived 35 minutes later than stated and when both burgers (one of them €15) were no longer even lukewarm, we were very annoyed . Unfortunately, I couldn't reach anyone by phone and didn't receive a call back. Although the burgers are delicious, we probably won't be customers in the future. Price performance therefore only 1 star

We wanted to order via Uber Eats, but unfortunately this was not possible. We then called the restaurant and wanted to order by phone, but unfortunately this wasn't possible either. Orders are only processed via a delivery service. We then ordered through Wolt. 2 menus and mozzarella sticks. After the driver finally arrived after about an hour, we discovered that a complete menu had not been packed. Very very annoying. And unfortunately it was cold too. I think the burgers there are very tasty, but I won't be ordering them again.

Long delivery time and an incomplete delivery

One of the best smashburgers in all of North Rhine-Westphalia, everything was right.

I know Take The Good Food from Rheydt and this was my third time eating here. The food tastes just as good as in Rheydt, but the interior design is not visually appealing. The staff is always very friendly. If you want to eat a delicious burger, this is the right place for you. I can recommend all burgers without hesitation (but the Drip, Cheesy and the Take Burger are my favorites).

Burgers taste very tasty. I wasn't too happy with the sweet potato fries. Hope things go better next time. The normal fries were even better.

The drip burger is probably the most amazing burger I’ve ever had! The meat falls off the bone and the flavour?? Absolutely delicious. Ordered delivery and it came a bit late but definitely worth it for the food I received

We walked here from Mitsubishi Electric Halle 2 get something 2 eat b4 the concert. 10 mins walk, easy peasy. The food was ordered quick and easy, as expensive as a full meal at McD or Burger King. Except the smashed meat burgers here are way better than the regular fast food restaurants. Fries are ok, the drinks ok, the service with a smile great. And payable with card instead of only cash 😏. Quick bite? Good place 2 B!

The food was okay, but the price/performance ratio was nonsense. You could only sit outside and when it started to rain heavily and people sheltered in the entrance with their food, they were sent out. For what you pay you can at least assume that you will get a dry seat.

The food is good but the service and staff are a disaster. The first visit was chaos: many orders were made wrong or wasted, and after 40 minutes of waiting I got my food. An Uber Eats order worth €30 arrived cold after being forgotten after over 3 hours. The delivery man stood at my front door with headphones on and handed me the cold order. When I picked it up on site, I wanted to pay by card, which I was refused despite having an EC device because I had ordered via their website. Instead, I was asked to walk 500 meters to a savings bank and withdraw cash with fees. All in all the food is good, hence the one star, but the staff and their system are very poor and unfriendly. Please try to improve the service.

Unfortunately, the opening times are neither correct on Google nor on site, so I rode 5km each way for free or even paid €3.40 per train ride. Just as I arrived, the restaurant was being delivered. Even the driver laughed and said that guests regularly stand in front of closed doors. Afterwards I drove to the store in the old town, the opening times are not correct here either. I later found out via Instagram that it is closed on Mondays. A lot of time, money and nerves were wasted...

Super delicious food. We had the RIP and Barbeque Burger. The service was quick, professional and friendly. Unfortunately not many seating options. Definitely recommendable.

I am a lover and critic of burgers - and I will say that the sweet potato and burger here are deliciously prepared and made from fresh products! In addition, I want to thank the guy at the cash register, give him a bonus! I won't tell why, let it be our secret. I recommend the establishment 👍
