Morrison's in Leipzig

Not friendly staff, reacted very arrogantly when we wanted to order some drinks.

Beer cold and food fresh. What you would expect from a pub. Tip: always ask for the daily menu

Very cozy restaurant in the middle of the center, with pleasant staff. Good wines are served here on two floors, with the focus being on the extensive whiskey menu.

On Saturdays more than 3 hours before closing time: kitchen is closed, coffee for Irish coffee is not possible. The waitress tries very friendly to save it.... But well... Two hits at once, which is offered on the menu, but is not possible at the moment. I guess I have to go somewhere else...

I don't know... I went through the reviews during my visit but I can't really understand the 5 stars. This is how I treat food... I eat everything I order. B I want to give every dish the chance to convince me until the end. Unless something was inedible, of course. The baguette with bacon and Camembert is really a joke! This is so terrible in its manner and preparation that it cannot be put into words. Taste surprisingly OK! But not restaurant quality. Fish & Chips. Hmmmm.... Well, the fish was probably breaded itself. But below the breading was bone dry and hard! The fish was rather dry. Fries, well... Usual frozen goods (but everyone has that). Crepes....One was hot, one was cold. Intention? Rather a bit rubbery, much too big fruit from the glass. Service was great. Attentive, friendly. But the store doesn't really have any charm...

In the evening we stopped by with a larger group for a few drinks - nice ambience, the dogs slept (insider), delicious beer, very friendly service, various cocktails were tried - all in all: nice location, definitely worth a visit

Comfy little boozer in a nice street. Nice place to stop for a break and a pint. Service was great.

Been here a few times and always enjoy going to Morrisons. Delicious beer and surprisingly good food! The employees are consistently friendly and helpful. My special highlight are the pub dogs!

The waiter is totally unfriendly and doesn't even let you look through the menu in peace and decide.

Delicious Guinness and great staff. Unfortunately I was only on holiday in Leipzig. A pub like this could easily become my local pub.

Good Irish beer, an attractive selection of schnapps and the long drink was well mixed. The food was OK but nothing special. The service was charismatic and their attentive nature ensured that I was always served on time.

The pub is very nicely decorated. We immediately felt like we were in the original from GB or Ireland. Plus everything is very clean. There is a wide selection of whiskeys at the bar and the menu is also very appealing and not just standard. We can't judge food because we only drank. But there were various dishes to choose from. Our beer and whiskey were great, the whiskey came in matching glasses and, even though it wasn't an ordinary one, the price was more than fair. We found the visit very successful and would have liked to have stayed longer.

Used for a stop while sightseeing. Service was good, short waiting time and drinks were tasty. The location of the outdoor area directly opposite the police takes some getting used to ;-)

Only to a limited extent... There were 5 of us and we tipped €50 for a bill of €200. But unfortunately no snack, no shot,... Our expectations were different... Otherwise everything was really good

Pub in the city center. Attentive service, cozy. However, value for money is not that great. 21 EUR for a not so large portion of sauerbraten, which tastes rather mediocre, quite steep.

Very cozy pub, very friendly staff and a large selection of alcoholic drinks such as beers, whiskey, wine etc. There should be something for everyone. Were here for the first time today and I would recommend it. Update were here again yesterday (April 20, 2024) and were not disappointed again, everything was perfect. This time I had a Strindberg rump steak that was a real culinary delight! The waitress asked me how I would like the steak!? I prefer medium and what can I say just perfect, tender and juicy on the inside. The spicy marinade gave the meat a wonderful explosion of flavor. There were also crispy fries and a small fresh side salad, which rounded off the dish perfectly. An absolute treat for all steak lovers! I highly recommend it.

My partner and I got a recommendation for Morrison's and followed it. What can I say? It was really very nice here! The food (fish and chips) was very tasty and we were very impressed by the atmosphere. We would like to say a lot of praise for the nice advice on whiskey/whisky matters. We had a lot of fun!

Einen Irish Stew als Grundlage, ein Paar Creps zum Dessert und Guinnes zum Abschluss - was will man mehr am Ende eines langen Tages in der Stadt? Obacht, der Hund ist kurzbeinig aber ein Schmuser :-)

I went to the pub alone around 10pm on a Friday evening. I was offered a place straight away. The cider was pleasantly cool and the waitress came by independently to ask if I needed anything else. The ambience is typical of an Irish pub, you can't go wrong there. Prices are absolutely ok considering the quality of service and central location. Always look on the bright cider of life!

After various visits to the upper floor in recent years, this time we went to the lower floor - apparently not a good choice. The older bartender had his friendliness level set very low. The beer I ordered - something I've never experienced before - had a distinct smell and taste of mold! It was exchanged without any problems, but without any apology. Maybe flush the tap system? The whiskey menu is manageable for a pub, and the desired variety to kill any mold germs ;-) wasn't in stock. All in all, no invitation to come back.

Es war einmal.... Vor 8 Jahren einmal das beste Pub. Tolles Esses, Livemusik, sehr nette Bedienung. Derzeit nicht zu empfehlen. Die Dame hinter der Bar mit Cape ins Gesicht gezogen, ist unhöflich und unnahbar zu fremden Gästen. Es gibt nichts leckeres mehr zu Essen. Wo ist bitte eure tolle Speisekarte geblieben???? Die Bedienung ist bemüht aber völligst fehl im Pub. Schade...

Immer wieder gut! Lockere Atmosphäre, gemütlich, super nettes Team. Eine der wenigen Kneipen in Leipzig, wo man noch gerne hingeht und nicht das Gefühl hat nur abgezockt zu werden.

Super Ort um gemütlich ein paar Bier zu trinken, oder auch den ein oder anderen Snack zu genießen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und auch das Ambiente ist wunderbar für ein Pub.

Das Pub ist für meine Vorstellung schon fast zu groß und geräumig, aber stilvoll. Die Getränkeauswahl ist super und die Bedienung war sehr schnell.

Eine gute Auswahl von Whisky Sorten und süffiges Guinness kann man hier im Pub in der Innenstadt unweit vom Bahnhof genießen. Das Lokal ist geräumig, die kleine Speisekarte wird durch Tagesgerichte aufgepeppt. Das Essen (Irish Stew und Fish & Chips) waren befriedigend! Fazit: Hier kann man einkehren.

Sehr gemütlicher Pub, ordentliches Pubfood.

Es eine guter Ort zum Chillen, unterhalten. Das Essen ist absolut Bombe. Wer Leipzig besucht sollte unbedingt vorbeischauen. :) Ab und an gibt es auch Pub Live Music. Hab viel Spaß beim besuchen.

Nettes Ambiente, Bedienung war sehr locker. Wir waren auf einem Donnerstag Abend gegen 23:30 Uhr da und könnten noch ein paar Rot-biere Trinken. An der Bar haben auch noch 2 Hunde der Rasse Mops geschlafen, sehr angenehm. Gerne wieder, wenn man im Raum Leipzig ist!

Sehr gemütlicher Pub mit freundlicher Bedienung und die Preise sind auch in Ordnung. Da wir nur etwas getrunken haben kann ich das essen nicht bewerten.

Essen mangelhaft, Garlic bread sehr trocken, Fish mehr Panade als Fish, dieser sehr trocken und nicht lecker, Pommes lätschig und fast ungewürzt, Salatgarnitur war okay, aber trotzdem: einmal und nie wieder. Service war gut, Kilkenny war ungewohnt wässrig, kenne ich so ehrlich gesagt von anderen Irish Pups nicht.

Das Morrisons hat eine sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre und ist ein wirklich gemütlicher, alteingesessener Irish Pub. Die Getränke sind allerdings mittlerweile sehr, sehr teuer geworden und das Personal ist weder aufmerksam, noch freundlich. Man muss sich schon sehr aufdringkicu bemerkbar machen, um überhaupt bedient zu werden. Das Essen setzt dem ganzen dabei leider die Krone auf. Die billigsten Metro-Fritten werden zu Turbopreisen rausgehauen, da wird einem wirklich schlecht. Ich bin gerne bereit, viel Geld für gutes Essen auszugeben, aber das was man dort als 'Essen' serviert bekommt, ist einfach nur noch frech. Früher war ich wirklich gerne hier, mittlerweile ist der Laden leider zur Touristenfalle verkommen. Scheinbar können sie sich das leisten. Mir ist schleierhaft, wie sich das halten kann...

Ein Super Team und Preise auch ok und die 2 Kleine Hunde auch sehr lieb

Das Essen kann ich nicht beurteilen, da ich nichts gegessen habe. Die Bedienung war sehr nett. Der Pub liegt mitten in der Stadt und ist trotzdem ruhig und gemütlich.

Irish Pub halt, mit Musik authentischer, aber leider nicht das Inseloriginal. Aber soweit OK und es geht halt nicht anders wenn die Melancholie durch Sehnsucht und Pint pfeift.

Bin seit Jahren immer wieder gern dort, eine der letzten originalen Kneipen in der Innenstadt.

Irish Pub, ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen aber eine tolle Whiskyauswahl. Hatte dann leider ohne Begründung geschlossen

Haben dort 2 herrliche Guinness und 2 leckere Cocktails genossen. Als es anfing zu regnen hatten wor uns in eins der gemütlichen Separee's gesetzt. Alles in allem ein schönes Pub.

Hyggeligt sted. Vi sad udenfor og fik drinks og et let måltid. Maden var god og betjeningen ligeså. Drinksene var virkelig stærke og ikke på den gode måde.

Super freundliche Bedienung und gutes Essen. Leider gab es nur wenige Gerichte von der umfangreichen Karte. Ansonsten ist die Atmosphäre sehr angenehm und die Getränkeauswahl sehr gut.
