This is simply a fantastic Irish pub in the heart of Leipzig. The decor is super rustic and inviting. The servers are very friendly and the drinks menu is excellent. If you like whiskey, this is the place to be.

Went there to watch the all Ireland Gaelic football final. Rang up before and they said they were showing it. Great atmosphere and friendly staff

Urige Atmosphäre. Vielfältige Angebote. Aufmerksamer Service. Faire Preise. Das Lokal selbst liegt in der Mitte zwischen zwei Freisitzen: Barfussgasse (meistens sehr voll) und der hintere Freisitz in der Klostergasse (ruhiger).

A little evening retreat, a pitcher of cider, a pint of Guinness, a balmy summer evening, and a few friendly exchanges with the boss. Perfect, that's how it should be: uncomplicated and relaxed.

We waited 15 minutes without being served. Ignored the entire time. We just left.

We had burgers, and they were tasty, but nothing special. So, one visit was enough for us. The fries were homemade, which I appreciated. The benches in the courtyard, however, were rather uncomfortable and squeaky.

The staff was very friendly. Despite the stress, the service was always pleasant and friendly. They accommodated almost all customer requests. The food was fantastic, and the wait was shorter than at other restaurants.

I was treated to delicious ale and excellent finger food here. Highly recommended!

Alles vorzüglich. Besonders der Servicechef Micha war überaus freundlich und hat sich um all unsere Belange bestens gekümmert.

Gutes Bier, Gute Küche bis spät abends. Und wie beim ordentlichen Irish Pub üblich bleibt man nicht lange alleine. Cocktails gibt's wohl auch, aber wer geht dafür schon zum Iren? Dafür laufen die wichtigsten Fußballspiele auf mehreren Fernsehern.

Had wings, burgers and fries...it was good, I just found the wings a bit tiny but they still tasted good. As always, the service is top and friendly.

"The Germans eat dinner at 6 o'clock..." With these words I was refused a reservation. Won't try again...

We visited the restaurant on a “normal” Tuesday around 8 p.m. with 2 children. First the positive points: - Rustic atmosphere, just like a pub should be - beautiful outdoor area - Live sports, if you like - The invoice came quickly and was even correct… Now the things that stood out negatively: - It took 20 minutes before we could even order drinks - These didn't come until 15 minutes later. Unfortunately, our “waiter” couldn’t take our food order at the same time and disappeared again. - The children's Fanta tasted rather “thin”/stretched - 45 minutes after arrival they took pity on letting us order food - It took another 45 minutes for the food to arrive - Fish 'n' chips were lukewarm, dry-fried frozen food that tasted like nothing. - The children's pancakes were carelessly slapped onto a plate, cold and didn't taste good. If this had somehow been a weekend and the shop was full, that might be understandable, but this restaurant seems to be a tourist trap.

Do I need to say more than: Guinness cheesecake? 😂

Unfortunately disappointed... To start with the positive: the staff were all very friendly and relaxed. The atmosphere is that of a cozy, rustic pub and football lovers will also get their money's worth with the many large monitors. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great. The “Soda Bread Sandwich” consisted of two small toasted dinner sandwiches with packaged salmon and a few vegetables. For a proud €14.90. You can pay €5 for a handful of fries with a small dip. And the "Guinnes sundae" described as "chocolate ice cream with a Guinnes caramel sauce and cream topping" turned out to be a 0.2l glass with ONE scoop of ice cream and some cream for €6.50. Too bad!

Very good food, good beer, and friendly service, who regularly, but not too intrusively, inquired about our well-being. Plus, a nice atmosphere with outdoor patio heaters – smokers are also welcome there. 😉

We went to the Kildare pub around 6:30 p.m. yesterday evening (1/17/25) without registering and got a wonderful table. The evening was the highlight of the week: delicious food, interesting drinks and an exceptionally nice staff. We congratulate the entire team for the outstanding performance! If you don't feel comfortable there, it's your own fault. A worthwhile tip for all Leipzig residents or visitors! Visit the Kildare Pub! Ralf Ulrich

A good beer menu, and the prices are more than reasonable! Service was excellent, and the atmosphere inside the pub was very lively and relaxed. The only "criticism" was the YouTube advertisements during the music.

We always enjoy going there and have never been disappointed.

The pub is good and centrally located. The service staff was very nice and courteous and always took care of things. The garlic bread was very tasty. Unfortunately, the fish 'n' chips were very dry, which really spoiled my impression.

We were looking for a rustic place where you could discreetly screw a two-hop smoothie into your armor and found this fine location by chance. Apart from the fact that you didn't die of thirst because the boss always kept an eye on his guests, the general atmosphere and everything else around it also made you feel good! If I ever find myself in Leipzig again, this place will definitely be my first port of call!

Terrible waiters, non-existent welcome. Beef soup with bland potatoes and carrots and badly chopped vegetables. Huge, irregular pieces looked like they had been cut with feet! But more.

In my opinion one of the best pubs in Leipzig. (Great location) I really like being here, the staff, food and atmosphere are great. For me, there is nothing better in the city to watch football. And the prices are absolutely 👌 too.

1 star deducted for the service because the service staff unfortunately couldn't speak English and I am of the opinion that in a pub where international guests often come, waiters should be able to speak English well. But otherwise I really like this pub.

Stylistically impeccable pub on 2 floors, very friendly and efficient service. 1 star less because, on a public holiday (unity of Germany), they do not prepare Sauerbraten. It was advertised outside but without 'not on public holidays', and I had entered the pub to eat that dish.

The burger was really great!!!! The coleslaw that came with the fries was also world-class! Totally recommended

On our bowling tour to Leipzig, this restaurant was our favorite after the first evening! The waitress was always in a great mood and always brought us the drinks we ordered in a friendly and quick manner. We were here three times over a total of four days and felt very comfortable every time from start to finish. If I'm in Leipzig again I'll definitely stop here again. Full marks for the ambience too. Really quaint, just like an Irish pub should be 😃😃😃

Cozy Irish pub in the center of Leipzig. The food is excellent.

This is the place where I tasted the best ribs in Leipzig. The meat is easily separated from the bone, juicy and not burnt. The Irish beer selection is good, the atmosphere is like an Irish pub, so don't expect every new customer to be more important than the ones already there. Understand that for the first order you will have to wait, or draw attention to yourself, or order constantly. Great place, too bad they don't have Orchard Thieves cider

Wir haben am 26.09.24 den Kildare City Pup in Leipzig besucht, um einen schönen Abend bei Live-Musik in toller Atmosphäre zu erleben. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht, ausgezeichnete Küche, leckere Getränke und ein Personal, welches Gastronomie liebt und lebt! Sehr gute Unterhaltung, super Stimmung mit vielen Attraktionen, Verlosungen und Geschenken. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und raten jeden Leipzig-Gast einen Besuch im Kildare City Pup, wird unvergesslich bleiben! Ralf Ulrich

auf unserer Leipzig-Tour durch diese Gasse gekommen und fanden das Ambiente sehr angenehm, war schon kühl - aber mit den Heizstäben im Schirm gut auszuhalten, Cocktails waren sehr lecker und preislich ok, das Fingerfood war auch nicht schlecht

I've been going to the store for ages. And of course, it's a "tourist trap" if you look at the prices. But you are compensated by good food and friendly service. You can't go wrong with a visit.

En una noche húmeda y triste en Leipzig - no hicimos ninguna reserva, así que nos quedamos caminando por las calles para encontrar un lugar con espacio. Nos sentamos afuera en la calle inicialmente bajo las sombrillas y calentadores, pero estaba muy ocupado. Cuando el espacio quedó libre nos mudamos adentro. El menú era una mezcla de UE e irlandés. El guiso irlandés era brillante - con opción de una porción más pequeña - que mi esposa tomó y era justo para ella. El mejor guiso irlandés de este lado de Dublín Tenía medallones de cerdo con setas. Cocinado a la perfección. Nuestra camarera era amable y paciente - ella también hablaba muy buen inglés - (Nota para sí mismo - Aprender otro idioma) ¿Recomendaría The Kildare? ¿Se elabora Guiness en Dublín?

This pub is in the middle of various restaurants. It is lovingly decorated as a pub with a great location. There is a good selection of beers which are slightly more expensive than normal. Especially since there are only 0.4 beers. Since we sat outside in the evening it was very busy. The service was very friendly and attentive. It was often requested and replenished. Contrary to most opinion, I wasn't that impressed with the food. It tasted good but not that great. Since there were Bavarian weeks, I tried the grilled knuckle. This was served with a dumpling and sauerkraut. Unfortunately, the knuckle wasn't crispy because the sauce softened the crust and the dumpling was dry. The sauerkraut was more like coleslaw. If only I had stuck to the burger recommendation. I wouldn't order again. Ambience also typical of a pub. Great for a nice evening with friends. I'd love to come back too
