Mondo in Frankfurt am Main

We have never been treated so disrespectfully! It says "please wait to be seated" at the entrance. We waited there for 10 minutes, the waitress looked at us several times but ignored us completely. Meanwhile, the last table was occupied by someone else who didn't follow the rules and simply bypassed the sign at the entrance. For this reason, we went to the waitress to ask what was going on, i.e. why they made us stand there for 10 minutes and instead served the guests who simply walked past the sign. She then said that the board is just there and if there is no space for it, she doesn't care, it doesn't interest her. I have never experienced such incompetent and disrespectful service. No apologies, just cheeky answers. And that's only because we stuck to the sign they put up. Really outrageous!

The pizza and burger were OK. Friendly staff. Long wait for the check.

Extremely unfriendly and simply rude. You buy food there and the staff seems not to want you to sit in as they inform there are no places to sit. Although there in fact are but the staff put a ribbon on purpose so you do not enter and to limit the space in the place. Unfriendliest food place I have ever encountered at the airport.

We've 3 hours layover in Frankfurt. Coming in from Istanbul on LH1305, arriving at 8:20am, I wanted a sit down restaurant. But after gone through endless checks of passport and carry on, we decided to stay at the gate, to be safe (actually, it isn't safe: there would be one more passport checking process before allowed to board...) Good things are: the bar tender is pretty entertaining, his croissant sandwich is fresh, and his Riesling is yummy - I set my own record for drinking before 9am. If you wondered what checking points we have gone through, here they're: leaving the country - legitimate getting into gate waiting area: LH agent checks passport again. Hello!!! layover in Frankfurt. As soon as we got off the jetway / loading bridges, we were met by many policemen, demanding to check our passport. HELLOOOO Without leaving the secure area, they made us to go through the baggage check before reaching our gate at C15 in the same terminal #1. A couple of policemen with semi automatic are watching ... helllllloooo while waiting at gate, we were asked to have passport check again, 90 minutes before departure ... HELLLOOO

Order a blueberry muffin €3.8 and foccacia €4.9. Afterwards we went to our gate. There we noticed that a chocolate muffin had been packed instead of a blueberry muffin. The foccacia wasn't heated enough either. The cheese was rock hard. In addition, the foccacia was topped with ingredients that were not advertised. The lady had a job taking the order correctly. There was nothing going on. So there was no time pressure. For the money you spend it's just embarrassing. Never again Mondo.

After 12 minutes of pure ignorance from the staff at the waiting point, this place doesn't deserve a chance.

Price/performance very good for FH standards. Overcrowded, but still quick and friendly service.

Worst pizza I ever had in my life. Did not expect much, but the food was very disappointing.

The cappuccino was great. The pizza was not bad too. Ideal for a quick stop, grab and go.

The self service counter was closed, but there were two dedicated tables available. I went to the take out counter and the nice lady said sure, there's no problem in eating my takeout there. A tray would have been nice, it was a bit complicated with two paper packs and one hot coffee. Ham and cheese croissant was great, the bretzel as well and cream coffee there was free regular milk to add and even sugar substitutes.

We stopped there for breakfast before we flew back home. The breakfast combo was delicious. Afterwards we had our last Frühschoppen. The staff was awesome and the service was great.

As far as airport food goes, not bad.

Had a burger at this restaurant, good price for being at an airport and the service was really nice. Calmer location than the rest of the airport, right by gate A60

Ich war gerade im MONDO und wollte etwas essen und trinken. Am Ende des Tresens habe ich den letzten Platz bekommen und die Männer neben mir wurden gerade bedient. Um mich hat sich keiner gekümmert, obwohl zwei Kellner da standen und sich unterhielten. Dann sagte einer von ihnen, dass hier nicht bedient wird und ich mir ganz vorne alles selbst holen muss. Nun musste ich zusehen, wie ich mein Essen, Kaffee und mein Gepäck wieder an den Platz bekomme. Ich muss sagen, die junge Frau am Selbstbedienungsschalter war sehr nett. Als ich beim Essen war, kamen neue Gäste und sie wurden wieder bedient und bekamen auch den Kaffee in Tassen, und nicht wie ich , im Pappbecher. Als ich den Kellner darauf ansprach, sagte er, ich wurde nicht bedient, weil sie schließen wollten. Aber jetzt haben sie es sich anders überlegt. Es ist 14 Uhr ! Als ich gesagt habe, dass ich über diese Behandlung verärgert bin, wurde getuschelt und gelacht. Dann hat mich keiner mehr beachtet. Da hier ja alles auch nicht preiswert ist, erwarte ich eine Kundenfreundliche Bedienung, was hier absolut nicht der Fall war. Ich werde diesen Imbiss meiden und kann es auch niemandem empfehlen

Hvordan er det mulig, i Tyskland, at en kelner servere vin til 7,5 € for et glass, i et halvliter plastglass? Og ikke vet forskjellen på det og et vinglass? Når resten av kelnerene, som sikkert visste, er uhøflige i tillegg, og tre personer betjener en kasse, mens køen blir lenger og lenger, er dette et sted å styre unna hvis du kan!

This place opens earliest and shuts latest in the airport- which is nice because Lufthansa flights are rarely if ever on time. I had a pasta bolognese at about nine thirty one evening. The service was very kind- and while the prices are airport prices the food was slightly better than expected. A week later I passed by in the morning. The staff opened up, and started selling breakfast half an hour earlier than planned, at six instead of six thirty, because people queued up and looked hungry I guess. Good selection of sandwiches for breakfast. Very pleasant staff.

Schneller Service, gutes Frühstück und akzeptable Preise.

Had a nice beer and great pizza here. Great customer service. Kind, perfect balance of service and distance. Allowed me to read my book at my pace while eating and drinking. For an airport, it was a good calm restaurant.

You can't say that much, it's a normal airport restaurant, nothing more, nothing less. the food is good, service works.

Das Essen war ganz passabel - war nur eine Kleinigkeit - ich wurde auch schnell bedient, aber Freundlichkeit ist etwas Anderes. Man könnte nun sagen, okay, am Flughafen ist das egal, die Leute kommen nur einmal - aber es soll auch Leute geben, die häufiger fliegen. Die Auswahl am Flughafen ist groß genug, so dass ich in Zukunft anderswohin gehen werde.

広い空間と飲みごろのビールがおすすめです。 でもやはり空港価格。 フードが高いです。 ソーセージ2本と付け合せで13.5€は高すぎです。

Nicht so toll. Aber im Flughafen hat man nicht so viel Auswahl. Das Essen war teuer und hat nicht besonders gut geschmeckt. Aber direkt am Gate und ohne Vergiftung. Dafür gibt es Pluspunkte. 😊

Great selection of bakery items especially the gourmet pretzels! Excellent spot for a quick bite to eat and drink while settling down before a flight! This is the second time I have come to this spot while waiting for a flight and it never disappoints! Convenient location for any of the Gate Z flights update board not far to check on flight status.

Nice service but lousy food. Way below average for a busy international airport. Bring your own sandwich or choose s different location to eat.

Overpriced: for 10,50 you get a ridiculously small portion of pasta - literally a handful. Das Service war in Ordnung.

The Coffee is very good. Always when I leave for home I sit down by the window and enjoy at least 2 cups of coffee. Today they forbid me to have a seat there although everything was vacant... I had to have lunch they said... That is not a good policy in the only location in Terminal 2 where you can get a little comfortable. I hope you discontinue with this new policy as soon as possible. There fore you only get 2 stars, otherwise they would be 4...

Only coffee/food spot on the D/E gates, which means massive lines - coffee was terrible cheese pretzel was yum!
