Three of us were there for our son's birthday. A bit chaotic because of the reservation. Small restaurant with seating on Bleibtreustrasse. We wouldn't describe it as particularly comfortable. But the service is very friendly and attentive with good advice. We had 3 starters Edamame, Tofu Kimchi, Takoyaki. 3 main courses Sesame Udon, Udon Yakinik, Miso Itame. 3 Dessert Matcha Cheeskake, Daifuku Mochi, Sakura Mochi. Without exception, everything was very good and quite authentic (we have been to Japan very often). Plus a large bottle of sake. So a clear recommendation and you can easily go there. But should be reserved in advance.

Simply incredibly good food, much friendlier service and the atmosphere is just right. We will definitely come back and are still very enthusiastic - an absolute recommendation. Because it was so delicious, there wasn't enough time for photos 😅

Things are relaxed here. When the weather is nice there is a small area in front of the door and otherwise a very quiet interior invites you to eat. The menu offers some exciting dishes. If you like trying new things, this is the right place for you. The team is super nice and gives you very good advice.

Overrated Takoyaki Beef is a way too salty & dry, no matter don or udon

Located in the Savignyplatz area, this restaurant offers a delightful dining experience. The takoyaki is a must-try, with a perfectly crispy exterior and a tender interior. I also enjoyed the Umeshu Cocktail and the plum sake, both of which were refreshing and delicious. However, I wasn’t a fan of the mochi from the dessert menu. Despite this, the menu features a variety of other tasty options, making it a great spot for an enjoyable meal.

Truly an absolute favorite restaurant! The food is delicious and the portions are just the right size. I originally became aware of the restaurant because of the takoyaki but was immediately convinced by the rest of the offering. I would order everything I've tried there again in a heartbeat (which is what I usually do haha). The service is also great, really attentive and warm. Absolute recommendation!

Small Japanese restaurant with delicious food, very authentic cuisine

An absolute artistic delight. Rarely eaten such good takoyaki outside of Japan.

The restaurant is narrow but you can still sit here in a pleasant atmosphere. The kitchen is open and you can watch the chefs at work. In addition to a suggested menu, you can also put together all the courses yourself. The food is fresh and tastes really good. The fact that many customers of Japanese origin also eat here reinforces the impression that they enjoy good Japanese cuisine.

Located in the nice Savignyplatz area, Momiji is a hidden gem. I’ve been craving a good Takoyaki for a long time and they delivered. I also loved the Umeshu Cocktail and Matcha Cheesecake. However, I did not like their Oyako Don. I wasn’t able to take a photo of it but I had to ask for soy sauce just to put a little taste into it. I suggest making a reservation since the restaurant can get full even on weekdays.

The octopus balls are super tasty. We jumped on our Fendt 1000 Vario on Wednesday and set off from Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz in order to be able to get a place on Friday. Unfortunately, the farmers' protests are already over, but it was still nice to explore Charlottenburg by tractor. Since we, as native Upper Palatinate residents, are big fans of octopus balls, there was no alternative but to go to momiji. There are no restaurant-owned tractor parking spaces, but on the outskirts of Kantstrasse (you have to ask yourself whether it is named after the philosopher or after the English swear word), we were able to park the Fendt without any problems. Thank you momiji for this great culinary and emotional experience. It has also been very good for our marriage.

Was really busy, which I take as good sign (usually). The food is quite good and made on the spot, so you have to wait a long after being served before eating as it can be very hot haha

Momiji is a very good Japanese restaurant, very close to traditional taste and no adaptation! What I really like to have is takoyaki and salmon chazuke (rice and salmon covered with tea).

Takoyaki and matcha ice cream are my top picks. Make sure to book a table in advance.

Authentic Japanese food, nice staff.

A small japanese restaurant near Savignplatz. Better to reserve a seat before going. The main dish was nice, but the eggplant somehow didn't take on the miso flavor, according to its size and flavor, it is for me overpriced. I also ordered a japanese YUZU tea which I expected to be somehow homemade, however, it seems to be made with korean YUZU jam from an asian supermarket. Over 4 euro for such a drink is not OK (A 400g YUZU tea jam with exactly the same flavor costs less than 10 euro in Asian supermarket).

After visiting Japan I am very picky about Japanese food and try many different Japanese restaurants in Berlin. Momiji is so far the best that I found. Food is very authentic, takoyaki taste no different than those in Osaka, the staff is as friendly and polite as in Japan, and the best thing is they have sakura mochi!

Es war ein sehr, sehr lauter Ort, wo eine Unterhaltung an diesem Abend fast unmöglich war. Alle Tische waren belegt. Dem Wunsch nach einem Tisch in Fensternähe wurde nicht entsprochen, obwohl schon drei Tage vorher reserviert wurde. Der Tisch in der Mitte wurde von allen Seiten und allen Sprachen dieser Welt ganz ordentlich beschallt... Die Tische waren sehr schön eingedeckt. Es gab viele verschiedene Sake und Tees zur Auswahl. Das Speisenangebot war vielfältig, selbst für den veganen Gaumen gab es eine vernünftige Auswahl. Es schmeckte sehr angenehm, die Würzung war eher fein und nicht zu scharf. Das Auge wurde ebenfalls verwöhnt, da alles insgesamt sehr hübsch angerichtet war. Das Restaurant hatte eine offene Küche. Es roch sehr nach Essen beim Betreten des Restaurants. Den Fischgeruch habe ich leider übermäßig deutlich wahrgenommen. Das Essen war insgesamt sehr gut. Die Atmosphäre eher schlecht. Länger, als das Essen gedauert hat, wollte man irgendwie nicht bleiben. Es gab allerdings auch keine Nachfrage nach einem weiteren Getränk...

Oh mein Gott: absolut köstlich, so freundlich, und preislich absolut fair. Volle Empfehlung!

Wunderbare authentische japanische Küche. Hauptsächlich findet man Donburi mit Reis und Udon sowie Takoyaki und verschiedene interessante Vorspeisen. Getränke gibt es auch zu genüge und das ganze zu sehr fairen Preisen!

Probably one of the best Japanese restaurants in the city, considering just the food. The staff is Japanese-speaking and very friendly. I would have loved to give them 5 stars, but the time gaps between the courses, and the synchronization of dishes in our group was very off. From my observation the issue is that while two people were waiting the tables, only one person was cooking and seemed to be the bottle neck in the process.

Dass Essen war ok, aber nicht hervorragend. Ich hatte mich auf den Omu Reis gefreut weil ich so oft davon gehört habe, aber es war eine reinste Enttäuschung : einfach ein normales Omelett auf gewürztem Reis mit ganz viel Brühe. Die Takoyaki waren eigentlich gut da sie selbstgemacht sind und der Kimchi war nicht so meins, da finde ich den im Supermarkt viel besser. Alles in allem viel zu hoher Preis für die Gerichte. Sehr schade

Service was good but we had to wait 10 mins just for the drinks and then 20 mins more for the food. To be honest, the good was not very delicious. I could tell that the chef was putting a lot of effort into preparing it though. I have ordered Don Teriyaki Chicken and the chicken was tasty, but green beans were cold (as a lot of other reviewers already mentioned) and all ingredients didn’t match well together in my opinion. Maybe I will try another dish next time but this time was very disappointing to day the least.

没想到柏林竟然有专门卖章鱼烧的店，只来这里尝试了章鱼烧和柚子蛋糕。章鱼烧价格很合理，不算贵，味道很赞，我会为了章鱼烧再回来的。

Spinat salad is ok. The pork dong they recommend most on the manu is too salty meanwhile the fish one is too plain. we added extra soy sauce in the rice but it can’t help. Not worth the price.

Wir sind gestern ganz spontan ins momiji und hatten Glück und haben noch einen Tisch bekommen. Direkt am Tresen, super Sicht in die Küche. Wir hatten als Vorspeise die Takoyaki, welche ein Traum sind. Bestellt sie einfach, ihr werdet es nicht bereuen. Wir hatten ein Menü und eine Hauptpreise - es war einfach so lecker. Dieses Chicken war wirklich gut. Der Service ist auch super und wir waren sicher nicht das letzte Mal hier. Absolute Empfehlung, allerdings würde ich reservieren. Lasst es euch schmecken. 😋

This place won me over for life. Found a table inside and the atmosphere was super nice, everybody was having a good time, people who work here were moving super fast serving everyone but at the same time nothing was done in a hurry. Super good vibes. Then the food. Omg, the food. Best I've ever had in Berlin and definitely best cooked salmon I've ever had anywhere else, I didn't even know salmon could taste like that. I had the Dinner set and the portion was huge and included the main dish and several smaller ones and the waiter explained me what they were, which was nice because I wouldn't have known otherwise. Totally recommend this place - came here kinda sad, instantly felt better because of the warm atmosphere. And I had an amazing dinner too.

Went to taste something different from the "standard Japanese", i.e. sushi/sashimi plates and had a great experience. The menu offers many things but was a bit confusing. No problem, service was top notch and helped us out. After a starter plate with matching sake tasters, we had a salmon and tofu bowl respectively (lots of vegetarian options). All delicious and an interesting culinary trip through the tastes of a foreign cuisine.

Wow this is the best and most authentic Japanese restaurant I have been in Germany. The owners are Japanese and they have veggie options as well. Prices are super fair and easy to reach with public transport. Love to come again!

Der Weg zum Momoji hat sich sehr gelohnt. Ein kleines bisschen von der Hauptstadt und man kann in Ruhe die japanische Küche in stilvollem Ambiente genießen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und bedanken uns für das tolle Essen 🫶😊

Wir waren vorhin dort und haben den nettesten Mitarbeiter der Welt getroffen. Er war sehr höflich, sympathisch und kompetent! Das Essen war so unglaublich gut, dass es kaum zu beschreiben ist. Wir wollten eigentlich nur Takoyaki probieren, haben dann aber die halbe Karte bestellt und es war alles extrem lecker. Ich empfehle auf seine Empfehlung bei den Saucen für die Takoyaki zu hören. Sobald wir wieder in Berlin sind gehen wir erneut hierher. Absolute Empfehlung 👍🏻

ベルリンにいながら、日本と同じように美味しいたこ焼きを食べることができます。しかし、そのためには1時間も待つ必要があります。注文したお茶が出てくるのにも20分かかり、すっかりぬるくなっていました。 以前、こちらを訪れた時も同様で、今回は改善されているかと期待していったのですが、その原因とみられる作業効率の悪さ（ウエイターを含む）は何も変わっていませんでした。たこ焼きは非常に美味なのに残念です。なので、☆3つ。

It’s a really cosy tasty Japanese place. Portions are not huge but super tasty. Id recommend to take as a starter Takoyaki set.

Wundervolles kleines Lokal mit wirklich sehr sehr nettem Personal und einer offenen Küche. Zur Mittagszeit bedient der Chef selbst und managt gleichzeitig die Küche. Trotz dessen hat er immer Zeit für einen kurzen Plausch. Das Essen ist auch wirklich gut. Wenn man hingeht sind Takoyaki wirklich ein muss. Auch die Udon Suppen oder die Nachtische sind echt gut. Klare Empfehlung

Der Laden ist super, ich habe selbst 5 Jahre in Osaka/Japan gelebt und kann nur sagen es ist sehr lecker und authentisch. Meine Frau die aus Japan kommt war auch sehr begeistert.

Super Essen, sehr freundlich, kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Ein sehr authentisches, japanisches Restaurant mit freundlichem Service und tollen Speisen und Getränken.

Ich war leider etwas enttäuscht von meinem Besuch hier. Ich bin extra für die Takoyaki hergekommen und hab die Platte mit den drei verschiedenen Variationen mit verschiedenen Soßen probiert. Ich hab es vermisst dass auf keiner der drei die klassische Unagi Soße war und ich fand eine andere dreier Konstellation sehr bissfest war (vielleicht weil eine andere Bewertung kritisiert hatte, dass sie zu weich sind?). Dadurch dass sie so braun waren haben sie aber leider fast etwas angebrannt geschmeckt und die typische Leichtigkeit der Takoyaki ist verloren gegangen. Vor allem die Knoblauchsoße hatte aber Potential. Die Miso Suppe fand ich leider etwas fad (vor allem auch ohne Tofu). Was den Bogen total rumgerissen hat war die Udon Suppe meiner Freundin, deren Brühe war total aromatisch, die Nudeln waren nicht zu glibberig, sondern noch bissfest - sie war wirklich fantastisch! Zum Schluss haben wir noch den Matcha Cheesecake probiert, der kleiner war als gedacht und uns geschmacklich auch nicht vom Hocker gehauen hat, ein paar Johannesbeeren mehr würden da bestimmt helfen, denn ihre Säure hat einen tollen Kontrast zum Matcha dargestellt. Ich würde trotzdem wieder das Restaurant für die Udon besuchen und hoffe vor allem, dass es noch an ihren Takoyaki noch etwas schraubt.

Ich hatte online einen Tisch reserviert für zwei. Das ging ganz unkompliziert und bei Fragen, schreibt der Inhaber auf jedenfall zurück. :) Es ist ein sauberes, kleines Restaurant. Man kann drinnen, sowie draußen sitzen. Beim Betreten des Restaurants, wird man freundlich begrüßt und fühlt sich direkt wohl. Der Inhaber ist sehr freundlich, ist um das Wohlergehen seiner Gäste sehr arrangiert, aufmerksam und hat immer ein Lächeln für seine Gäste. Wir bestellten als Vorspeise Takoyaki, mit 3 verschiedenen Soßen. Was soll ich sagen, es war mega lecker. Es war so gut, das wir uns nach dem Hauptgang, nochmal welche bestellten. Wir hatten auch zwei Bowls bestellt und auch damit waren wir sehr zufrieden. Als Nachtisch gab es noch ein Matchaeis mit Sake. :) Die Speisen wurden schön angerichtet und Preis-Leistung war stimmig. Wir bekamen unser Essen sehr schnell und mussten nicht lange warten. Das Restaurant füllte sich auch sehr schnell mit Gästen. Schon alleine für das Momiji, hat sich der weite Weg von der Ostsee definitiv gelohnt. Vielen Dank für das tolle Essen und die Gastfreundlickeit. Das war super, weiter so. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
