Wir haben mehrmals hier bestellt und das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker! Wir haben nicht das Congee probiert, aber der Rest ist sehr lecker!

Wir haben den Feuertopf probiert - und als Vegetarier nachgefragt, ob wir vegetarische Portionen bekommen können. Das stand nicht auf der Karte, aber ließ sich problemlos machen. Super appetitlich, guter Geschmack - wir haben es genossen.

Ich bestelle dort schon seit Monaten Essen. Sie enttäuschen nie, es ist ein echter Genuss nach einem anstrengenden Tag. Das Essen ist einfach köstlich. Ich plane, beim nächsten Mal mit ein paar Freunden dorthin zu gehen. 🥰

Nachtrag zu meiner Bewertung: Ich bin total enttäuscht! Ich hatte Essen bestellt und aß gerade mein heißes „Hähnchen“, als ich plötzlich dachte: Moment mal, wo ist denn das Hähnchen? Ich schmecke überhaupt keins! Dann habe ich die angeblichen Hähnchenstücke auseinandergeschnitten und darin nur Spuren von Hähnchen gefunden. Das ist nicht in Ordnung! Da ist absolut kein Hähnchen drin, außer ein paar zerkleinerten Resten. 99 % davon sind frittierte Panade. Ein tolles Lokal! Wir waren dort zum Mittagessen. Super gemütliche Atmosphäre mit Kamin, leckeres Essen und eine nette Bedienung.

Wir waren im Zuge unseres Urlaubs dort und haben uns von den positiven Bewertungen leiten lassen. Es war wirklich toll dort. Liebevolles Ambiente, klein und fein (perfekt für uns). Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Hat sich Zeit für eine kleine Teekunde gegeben. Das Essen war sehr lecker: wir hatten zwei Vorspeisen und zwei Hauptgänge. Ente war Mega. Und der Mango Kokos Lasso … unbedingt probieren. Kommen bei unserem nächsten Besuch gern wieder :-)

Definitiv einer der besten Asiaten im Kiez. Kein Standard Menü. Die Aubergine mir Tofu (oder Hühnchen) im Lunch Menü ist unglaublich lecker, umbedingt probieren. Einzig die Stühle sind nicht sonderlich bequem.

Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war hervorragend und die Portion großzügig. Die Bedienung war schnell, obwohl uns die Kellnerin kurz vergessen hat – das kann ja mal vorkommen!

Dieser Ort ist ein wahres kleines kulinarisches Paradies! Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm und der Service einfach perfekt. Die Bedienung war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Ich kann es uneingeschränkt empfehlen, ihr müsst es unbedingt probieren! (Aber Vorsicht, Suchtgefahr!)

Hübscher Laden, gemütliches Ambiente - das war’s auch schon mit dem positiven, das ich hier berichten kann… Ich bin sehr erstaunt über die 4,7 Sterne bei Google…wir wurden herb enttäuscht, als wir hier meinen Geburtstag gefeiert haben. Das Essen war leider komplett versalzen, die Gerichte haben uns wirklich sehr enttäuscht und nicht geschmeckt 😢 auch der Wunsch nach „nicht scharf“ wurde außer Acht gelassen, drei von 8 Gerichten waren falsch oder wurden nicht geordert, es war wirklich ein einziges Durcheinander. Die junge Dame, die uns bedient hat war auch heillos überfordert, das tat uns richtig leid mit anzusehen und hat uns aber auch den Abend verdorben. Leider leider nicht zu empfehlen…

Großartiges Essen, superschneller Service und ein wirklich schönes Ambiente, das die Atmosphäre asiatischer Straßenküche perfekt einfängt – man fühlt sich wie zu Hause 🥰

Keine vernünftige Begrüßung. Essen serviert bekommen und kein Besteck dazu(musste man sich selbst holen) Udon Suppe mit Hackfleisch bestellt…und mit mehr Tofu als Hackfleisch bekommen( für jemanden der kein Tofu isst, nicht gut).

Das Essen war in Ordnung, die Bedienung sehr freundlich und die Preise angemessen. Kartenzahlung ist ab einem Betrag von 15 € möglich.

Ich weiß nicht woher die guten Bewertungen kommen Hot Pot bestand aus Tiefkühl Fisch und Fleisch (undefinierbar) und hauptsächlich Organe sprich Leber Herz, Margen für 4 Personen 135€ würde ich stark von abraten außerdem schlechter Wein :/ Ich habe nachweislich in diesem Restaurant gegessen und für die Qualität einen inakzeptabelen Preis bezahlt(siehe Rechnung), trotzdem wird meine ehrliche Bewertung immer wieder durch das Restaurant angefochten. Das ist inakzeptabel und sie sollten gerechtfertigte Kritik annehmen und nutzen und nicht verschleiern.

Jesus, das ist mit das beste Essen, das ich je in meinem Leben gegessen habe! Wir hatten Rindfleisch-Satay (absoluter Favorit), scharfe Ente, Sichuan-Hühnchen und ein Gericht mit Aubergine 👌🏽🤌🏽✨

Sehr cremiger Congee mit geschmackvollen Toppings. Auch ihr Ca Phao (eingelegte kleine Auberginen) schmeckt mir sehr gut.

We had our food and were about to start when we noticed that the spoons were dirty and greasy. We pointed this out and asked if we could have a clean one. The waiter said he'd be right there. After a while, I went myself because he hadn't come. He then searched a drawer for a clean one...but to no avail. We weren't impressed with the food either. Therefore, only 2 stars.

Came here with a friend and got the pork congee and the chilli vinegar dumplings. Congee could have more protein on it, and the dumplings were ok.

Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. The spring rolls were tasteless. The dipping sauce was equally so, and very little (maybe 3 mm deep in a very small bowl). When we asked, we were given a little more, so maybe 6 mm, which is very little. Do you really need to skimp on the sauce that much? The most disappointing thing was the liangpi. The noodles were overcooked, and the consistency wasn't what you'd expect from liangpi.

I ordered online for immediate pickup (15 minutes), the money was debited, and I was then informed that they unfortunately wouldn't be able to prepare the food until after their one-hour lunch break. Since I didn't have time to pick up the food that late, I canceled the order. I was told by phone that the money "will probably be refunded, but they don't know exactly when."

The food was fantastic—fresh, delicious, and prepared with love. I especially want to highlight the friendly service: attentive, warm, and always with a smile. You immediately feel welcome. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I'll definitely be back!

I found the food to be average, nothing special, except that the prices are a bit high, but okay, it's Prenzlauer Berg, and the location is well chosen. You can get there in no time using public transport. Otherwise, the service is a thumbs up.

- We have to highlight one thing: the waitress, the young lady with the glasses, was particularly friendly and accommodating. She served us quickly, even when the place was very busy and it seemed like she was the only one working. A huge thank you to this lady! ❤️ - The food is typically Asian. For us, the selection was huge, and we ate until we were full. It was simply top-notch. See pictures below! - In my opinion, the only criticisms are the cheap chairs outside on the terrace and the stools inside. They're just not suitable for dining and should be replaced with proper chairs or benches.

I was there on July 18, 2025, around 8 p.m. and found the service to be anything but satisfactory. The waitress, who wore glasses, was extremely rude and seemed completely disinterested. Instead of attending to the customers, she preferred to spend time on her phone while I had to wait a very long time for my order. There was no apology for the delay or a friendly word – quite the opposite: the tone was cold and unprofessional. Respectful and attentive service is essential, especially in the restaurant industry, but I was sadly disappointed here. I had expected much more from this restaurant. Based on this experience, I unfortunately cannot currently recommend Chaomin Congee.

Chaomin Congee: Where the Ratings Don't Add Up Alright, gather 'round, folks, because I'm here to spill the tea (and sadly, not the delicious kind) on Chaomin Congee. Seriously, who's been leaving these glowing reviews? My taste buds are sending out an SOS! Let's start with the appetizers: tiny, but mighty... in price, that is. You get about two bites for the cost of a small nation. Then there's the service: think "human statue" meets "creepy staring contest." One woman seemed to be perfecting her art of standing still, which was less helpful and more "is this performance art?" But the real showstopper? The main courses. They looked like supermodels on a plate, but tasted like... well, absolutely nothing, drowned in enough oil to power a small engine. It's like the menu description was written by a different restaurant entirely. Honestly, I'm starting to think those five-star ratings are as fake as a three-dollar bill. Unless, of course, "tasteless and greasy" is the new culinary trend I missed. Save your money, folks, unless you're into expensive, oily disappointment.

While the appetizers were good, the main dishes we ordered (pho and the chicken fried udon) were severely under seasoned, bland and overly oily. We had our hopes up because the reviews were so good so it was very disappointing. Later in the evening my little sister started having a severe stomachache and was sick throughout the night getting no rest.

Always the best Cháo, especially when i’m sick and it reminds me of my mom’s Cháo as well. But the Ruốc and Cà muối are a bit sweet for my taste

The rice soup was good. The chicken rice and cucumber salad were also okay, but the wheat stick was a joke! It looked completely different from the picture and tasted nothing.

The food was good — not the best I’ve had, but definitely enjoyable. We went for the lunch deal, which was a great value for the price. Portions were decent and everything was nicely presented. The service was okay; not particularly warm or friendly, but efficient enough. Overall, a solid spot for a casual lunch if you’re nearby and want something tasty without spending too much.

If you don't even know how to properly pack food, then don't offer delivery service. A flimsy paper bag with an unsealed soup container? It all spilled the moment I picked it up. Ridiculous.

Unfortunately, the rice was completely overcooked and mushy. The food didn't taste bad, but it wasn't anything earth-shattering either. We had a 2 for 1 deal, so it was worth it. Personally, I wouldn't pay full price for the meal.

Für diese beiden Sachen habe ich über 21 € bezahlt, aber nach dem Bezahlen mit Karte Habe ich keinen Kassenbon bekommen. Eigentlich wollte ich auch Liangpi bestellen, aber das gab es nicht – obwohl es draußen am Laden angeschrieben steht. Besonders enttäuschend. Very disappointing. If you are sick and tired of the modern Asian nonsense that's spread across Berlin, come here. Excellent and delicious Chinese/Viet food. We were left lip smacking with the Fried Udon and Eggplant dish. Outstanding food!

Food was so mediocre, didn't really taste like much. The shrimp were very tasty, the rest was so meh. I would have hoped for more value for money.

A small restaurant, quick preparation, large portions, individual wishes are taken into account and fast service.

The food alone would have earned 4 stars—it was quite good. Unfortunately, the service was so poor that I’m giving only 2 stars. Our main dishes were brought out before our appetizers, so we sent them back. After we finished our starters, they simply brought back the same mains they had kept "warm" in the meantime. The rice was dry and clumped together, and the duck and chicken, which were supposed to be crispy, were completely soggy. When I pointed this out to our waitress, she flat-out denied it. Mistakes can happen, but the least you can do is own up to them.

First of all, the food is very good and the service is friendly. But what I absolutely can't stand and hear in Berlin anymore is "only cash payment". I don't care about the reasons, but I'm tired of it. Especially since the restaurant delivers via Wolt and customers can of course pay "online" - as I was told when I asked. Therefore only three stars for service. I'll avoid shops like this in the future.

The food was so delicious it made my day!!! Chicken Congee was extraordinary—it brought me back from the dead and gave me hope for a new life. I also tried the Sichuan Wonton, Hot Duck and the spicy chicken which were all incredible. Can’t wait to come back!

The food was okay, but the service was terrible. The waitress with the piercings in her mouth seemed extremely unmotivated and was very unfriendly. Even with a generous tip, she didn't even get a simple "thank you." 🤡 Never again.

The food was OK, but the service was a disaster. The waitress was extremely rude, showed no expression and took the menu away from one of us before we had even finished ordering. When it was served, her thumb even stuck in the porridge we ordered! In the end she just kept the change without even asking. I ordered the beef rice bowl. The beef tasted pretty good. The sweet potatoes as the base were okay~ but the rice was actually uncooked. For a Chinese restaurant, this is unacceptable.

Ordered spring rolls, squid, tofu, beef porridge, shrimp porridge, and matcha banana milkshake. The kid on the spring rolls finished three of them by himself. The spring rolls are fried with starch on the outside. The squid is very fragrant. The fried tofu is in small pieces, which is okay. The shrimp porridge is definitely recommended, the beef porridge is also good, the white porridge will take you home in a second. The portion of the porridge is indeed quite large. If you eat vegetables and porridge alone, you will definitely be full. The place is a bit small. The menu is in Chinese.

Very good restaurant. Unfortunately, they don’t currently offer Xi’an Street Food. We ordered rice soup and spicy crispy chicken legs, which we enjoyed very much.

Food was okay, no revelation. But definitely too expensive for that. Service seems disinterested and is only semi-friendly. Card payment is specified online - which is what we relied on. Ultimately you can only pay in cash.

Overall pretty good. We had the beef satay, fried tofu and duck&run. Portions are good. I would comeback for the beef satay.😍 The fried tofu really good too. The duck&run would not recommend. We where here at 16:00 and kitchen was open. They didn't have other plates when I ordered.

It was a spontaneous visit to the restaurant and I'm so glad we went. I had dumplings as a starter, a flat rice noodle soup with beef and a lemonade. I haven't eaten so well in a long time. I will definitely recommend this small, tastefully decorated restaurant and visit it again!

Honestly not worth it… food was bland, lacking flavor, freshness, the matcha dessert was SOOO dry. The Congee was acceptable but not a food that I will go back and try again there. Very average experience, I would have prefer to spend my money somewhere else

Vegan congee was really good. It was my first time trying it and I definitely see myself returning. Just a note to the restaurant- the menu doesn't specify that the vegan congee has tofu in it, so I ordered a side of tofu, and was later surprised.

We had a lovely evening at Chaomin today. The food really tastes extremely good. Congee is a really healing dish and it was really well prepared and it was a huge portion. From my point of view everything was well paid. The service was a bit poor today, but thanks to the sympathy and unasked-for courtesy, I give it full marks and would definitely come back soon. The dessert was a large portion. I shared these and was still full.

The waitress was dispassionate, but we were able to place our order in the end. The restaurant was empty, but she still kept us waiting for a long time. That wasn't so bad, because my companion and I had time and enough to talk about to pass the time. The food was mediocre, as was our drink and dessert. With Neotaste we received a €10 discount. At least that worked. On the positive side, the interior design was very nice to look at. Except for the big spider webs on the window. 😅

We were here because we discovered the restaurant through neotaste. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Our two starters (cucumber salad and shrimp and chicken dimsum) were really not good. There was something indefinably hard in one dimsum, the dimsums with shrimp also tasted very fishy and of nothing else. The main courses tasted okay. Nevertheless, we were disappointed because the restaurant otherwise had such good reviews.

easy 5 stars. the place is clean, spacious and smells good. I was feeling cold, really fancy a soup. I saw menu and read "rice soup" and thought "never tried a rice soup before, let's give it a go!". and that was an absolute banger! hopefully I'll be back soon to try something different

The porridge resembles the Hong Kong/Guangzhou/Malaysia/Singapore... congee/ porridge. The pork rice main dish is something to go for. I'm travelling here but I came here twice on my 5 days in Berlin. I will rate this a good restaurant for travelers who wants to fulfill their desire for the porridge/congee after traveling out for long time.

Nothing special just expensive for a disgusting duck and tasteless watery curry with overcooked rice and frozen vegetables. I am sorry if thats not the case, but this is what it tastes like.

If you are a Chinese and it happens that you also love RouJiaMo/Xi’An Burger, I would like to tell you this restaurant provides as good as you could have in Xi’An. I saw LiangPi had bad comments already, I also tried, the comments are valid :P I give 5 stars for RouJiaMo/Xi’An Burger only.

2 ⭐️ I visited this restaurant after seeing their advertisement on social media. Unfortunately, the experience didn't meet expectations. The service staff seemed indifferent and could have been more courteous. The food, particularly the Liang Pi (cold skin noodles) and congee, fell short of traditional standards - I couldn't finish my meal due to the unsatisfactory taste. While I appreciate their effort to provide authentic cuisine, there's significant room for improvement in both food quality and service.

ONLY CASH! Mixed reviews, a couple of the dishes like the chaomin congee and pork belly dish were good, but the others were average. Not too bad, but no wow factor for me.
