Viet Hello- BBQ in Berlin

Wenn Bezahlen zur Diskussion wird Leider bin ich vom Umgang im Viet-Hello zunehmend enttäuscht. Das Essen ist grundsätzlich gut und der Laden ist auch immer gut besucht – umso unverständlicher finde ich den Umgang mit der Bezahlung. Es wird grundsätzlich darauf bestanden, dass man nur bar bezahlt. Manchmal wird dann scheinbar „ausnahmsweise“ auch PayPal akzeptiert. Heute hatte ich eine größere Bestellung und wollte mit Karte zahlen, nachdem ich ein Kartenlesegerät gesehen hatte. Zunächst wurde mir sehr bestimmt gesagt, dass nur Barzahlung möglich sei. Auf meine Nachfrage, warum das Gerät denn vorhanden sei und ob ich es nicht nutzen könne, wurde erst widerwillig reagiert – und siehe da: Plötzlich funktionierte die Kartenzahlung doch. Dieses Hin und Her wirkt einfach unnötig und nicht besonders kundenfreundlich. Gerade bei einem gut laufenden und gut besuchten Restaurant sollte ein moderner und unkomplizierter Umgang mit den Gästen eigentlich selbstverständlich sein. Was ich außerdem schade finde, ist die oft sehr distanzierte und grimmige Art im Service. Freundlichkeit kostet nichts und macht gerade beim Essen einen großen Unterschied. Schade, denn das Essen hat Potenzial. Aber ein gutes Gericht allein reicht nicht – auch der Umgang mit den Gästen gehört zum Gesamterlebnis

Unglaublich reichhaltiges menue und echt grosse Portionen

Sehr leckere frisch zubereitete Speisen. Die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Es schmeckt immer.

Das Essen ist eine wahre Geschmacksexplosion. Immer frisch, immer ansprechend angerichtet. Das Restaurant liefert selbst nicht, aber man kann das Essen telefonisch bestellen und selbst abholen.

Das Essen ist durchweg und gleichbleibend hervorragend, egal ob vegetarisch oder mit Fleisch/Fisch. Was ich sehr mag, ist dass es immer viel frisches knackiges Gemüse zu den Gerichten gibt. Gute grosse Portionen, liebevoll und schön angerichtet und ganz obendrein sind alle, die dort arbeiten sehr sehr freundlich und professionell. Egal ob man zu zweit essen geht oder in einer grösseren Gruppe, es ist immer prima, unser Lieblingsrestaurant!

Das Essen ist frisch und lecker, die Bedienung freundlich und gut gelaunt. Ich komme gerne wieder und empfehle das Restaurant meinen Freunden.

Viet Hello BBQ ist für mich eine der positivsten Überraschungen in Berlin.Die Zutaten sind frisch, die Aromen intensiv! Das Ambiente ist sauber, warm und einladend, ideal für ein entspanntes Essen zu zweit oder mit Freunden. Preis‑Leistung ist für Berlin absolut top. Klare Empfehlung!!!!

Sehr leckeres Essen! Esse fast immer Erdnuss Sauce mit Chicken und hier ist es mit Abstand am leckersten, da es ein gegrilltes Filetstück ist.

Wir waren mit einem 2-jährigen Kind dort. Das Essen war frisch, sehr lecker und kam schnell. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Leider gibt es keine Wickelmöglichkeit. Vielen Dank für den netten Abend

I've been eating there with my wife for years. Whether on the terrace in summer or in winter, it's always cozy. The interior has been renovated with beautiful benches – very nice. The service staff is friendly, as you would expect from a Vietnamese restaurant. For me, the food is the best Vietnamese cuisine you can get in Berlin, and the prices are fair. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

A strange but good place. The food is tasty. The portions are large, but the dishes are still a bit overpriced. Still recommended here in Schlachtensee, as the other "Asian" restaurant is really bad (and they delete reviews for "slander"!!!) and there are no alternatives here. Viet Hello BBQ has been solid for a long time. My conclusion: Not fantastic, but very solid.

A little hidden in the square just before the corner of Breisgauer and Matterhorn you will find the Viet Hello-BBQ. The menu is well sorted and varied. We were able to place our order quickly and were served our dishes very promptly. It smells delicious and tastes delicious too. Fresh salad and vegetables are a large part of the dishes. The sauce is very pleasantly seasoned by European standards. We sat in the porch/conservatory. It wasn't cold or drafty. The ambience with lots of flowers and decorations is also appealing. Well attended for a Saturday evening, but not overcrowded. We will stop by here again soon with the children! Because there is also a children's menu...

Had a lovely lunch here in the sun this afternoon. Very nice service, you sit quietly and the food was very good, fresh and super fast. We had Pho tofu and Udon with tofu. Delicious.

Super! I like the food and atmosphere. We go here from time to time with my wife. I can recommend dish with Mango sause #46 or rice with rind (#56).

I took my family there on the second day of their visit, as it’s one of my favorite restaurants. As a group of five, the service was as quick and efficient as when I’m on my own. We each enjoyed our meals and walked away satisfied with big smiles.

I'm telling you, come here. It's an absolute MUST, everything tastes fabulous. The staff is super friendly and accommodating! The door was even held open for us when we said goodbye. The food is absolutely amazing, really good and fresh vegetables, delicious meat, tofu, and be sure to try the shakes and lassi! A chef with 17 years of experience based on family tradition cooks here and you can taste it, it is prepared with a lot of love and the portions are large. The toilets are absolutely clean and the atmosphere in the restaurant is wonderful, the price is more than good! And really, you won't find such nice people like these who serve you here anywhere else. We just come here For me the absolute awesome restaurant!

I live in Schlachtensee and regularly eat here or pick up food. There is a beautiful outdoor area that borders directly on the market square. There is a menu with lunch dishes that change regularly. It's really delicious and the team is very friendly and is visibly happy every time you come back. 3 minutes walk from the S-Bahn station. I can fully recommend Viet Hello.

Very good food with fresh ingredients. Always beautifully presented. Portions aren't overly large, but they don't have to be. Absolutely worth the money and the staff are always nice and friendly. Always my pleasure! Edit 6 years later: Still great, imaginative food and in the summer it's lovely to sit outside.

This place is truly my ABSOLUTE favorite restaurant! The owner and all the employees are great, kind-hearted people and the food is really outstanding! No matter whether I'm eating my favorite dish for the 100th time or trying something completely new, the dishes are always made with a lot of love and taste great! Man kann im Sommer auch draußen sitzen.. Negativ war lediglich, dass in einem solchen Lokal keine Kartenzahlung möglich ist.

As a full-blooded Vietnamese, I can only recommend it. The food was an 11/10 and really made me feel at home. The customer service was also very nice and personable. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The furnishings were very simple and traditionally Asian, which makes you feel like you are in Vietnam

Staff friendly. The food was nicely prepared. But anyone who knows anything about Vietnamese food will be disappointed and it's too expensive. There is room for improvement.
