Hey, the food is usually great, but lately my food has been getting cold, and I'm still waiting for so long (we asked if they could reheat it, but they only half-heartedly did). The waitress asked if we wanted steak sauce or salad when we ordered our cordon bleu, without telling us that it cost a whopping €4 extra (more than the food, actually). It usually tastes good, but this time it was a bit off. :(

New review from March 2024: I was at the restaurant again last Friday and unfortunately discovered that the menu selection was very limited. A sheet of paper with only four dishes was laid out on the table. (no pictures of the food):-(. I ordered fish with potato salad, which tasted good, but the potato salad was far too small. Even for a senior citizen of my age (69), it was far too small. I spoke to the waitress and received the reply that the portion sizes are determined by management and therefore the waitress cannot change anything. I now wonder if this is the way management wants the service. In my opinion, this won't work in the long run. So I had to leave the restaurant a bit hungry and am seriously considering whether I will eat at the Mömax restaurant again in the future. My five-star rating for the food has been reduced to three stars due to the incidents described. I will probably give the restaurant one more chance to improve. Perhaps then the selection of dishes and the portions will be a bit larger again. Every time we shop there, we can't pass by the restaurant :-) Whether for breakfast or lunch. We feel very comfortable there. The service staff is very friendly and accommodating. Mr. Polombo served us especially friendly and quickly at breakfast yesterday. He has also provided excellent service at several lunches. But the other employees are hardly inferior to him. The food is always fresh and the price-performance ratio is hard to beat. If you have a customer card, you even get a discount on certain dishes. We're happy to come back and are already looking forward to the next time. New review from June 13, 2025: We were at our favorite Mömax restaurant in Karlsruhe again today. The portions are absolutely sufficient and the food tastes excellent. Last time I had a rump steak, which was perfectly cooked and the quality of the meat was absolutely superb. I haven't had such a delicious steak in a long time. The service here is excellent; you are greeted and served in a friendly manner. One employee, "Mrs. Dommer," particularly impressed us with her exceptionally friendly and courteous service. I wish other restaurants had service staff like her. For that, Ms. Dommer gets 5 stars+ from us. With such good service, the food tastes even better. Keep it up!

The service was very quick and super nice, the food tasted excellent, the shop wasn't overly crowded but still well attended. The employee always had an overview and neglected nothing. The employee who served us the food was also very personable. We had the Cordon Bleu Toscana twice and mushroom cream sauce once. We'll be happy to come back, thank you very much :)

The service today really left a lot to be desired. A male waiter and a female waitress, but all tables were open and almost all occupied. It took a while just until we ordered. The woman who ordered immediately before us got her food after a while, but we had the same four dishes as the woman ordered (the other two were pasta, so nothing time-consuming), our food came when she was almost finished and the table that ordered after us also had their food earlier (although both also had the same dish as us) and these were also almost ready when ours finally came. No apology or anything like that! The additional plate we ordered wasn't there either. Brought to me by the female waitress, when asked she said she would bring the plate straight away, after we had waited for some time (approx. 5 minutes) from me to the counter so that we could finally eat everything. There she was busy talking and, slightly annoyed, gave me a small cake plate. When I asked if there was ketchup or something with the schnitzel, she said she would bring it straight away. No problem, after a while I also pointed this out to the male waiter, who then gave us some from another table, which unfortunately was already almost empty or was then empty. The table next to us, who came shortly after us, also had to wait a long time for a drink and then also for the food. This is then available for payment, as is the case. At the previous table, the waiter apologized several times for the wait, but not once for us. We have been here several times before, but today Dad's behavior was absolutely unacceptable and disrespectful towards customers. The table in front of us, there were only two of us, were obviously so much more important to the employees than the family of five who often had dinner here, sometimes six and today they had ordered 4 meals and 5 drinks. At least an apology would have been We want a “quick” lunch during the lunch break... it turned into over an hour... then we could have gone to various other restaurants with friendly service, because we didn't save any time! It's sad how things have changed here! The ambience gets two stars because there is a small indoor playground. I'm rounding the food up to 3 stars, based on previous experiences that the food wasn't particularly hot when it arrived. I assume it stood there for a while before the waitress brought it and brought it, at least for 2 dishes.

Today the service was really bad. When we ordered we said straight away that we needed an extra plate. Then, after an eternity, the food arrived after the table next door, who had ordered later, was already halfway through eating. Really great with children. The plate was missing and we noticed it straight away. She brings him right away. After a few minutes we arrived and found the waitress chatting at the counter. She then immediately gave us a small cake plate. On this occasion we also asked for ketchup. That's what she wanted to bring to... of course it didn't happen.

Waited 40 minutes for the drink. The schnitzel with fries for 4 was great. I would have done better with the Champion cream sauce for just 2.70 when I was a student. It was packed and the wait staff couldn't manage their time. I was a little sorry.

Today I waited at the counter for 19 mi until I got a drink Because of this, I unfortunately cannot give a positive rating to the employees, and because of this I didn't order any food, so I won't visit this restaurant again.

So I don't know what happened here. I always enjoyed eating there because everything was generally good. The food was always good as well as the choices. At lunchtime today, the food we wanted was either no longer in stock or only partially available. Lovelessly served chicken schnitzel with cold and dry fries. If we hadn't been super hungry we certainly wouldn't have eaten here! We 100% won't come here anymore.

We're really speechless... The food itself was okay, we didn't have too many expectations here and wanted a quick snack while we were passing through. We are more than shocked about the staff. We were greeted in an unfriendly and annoyed manner and had to look for menus and cutlery ourselves as nothing was on offer here. When our drinks were brought to the table after a while, the waitress pointed out that the glasses had just come out of the dishwasher and were therefore still very hot. However, she would have rinsed the glasses with cold water. After I had already filled the glass and wanted to drink from it, I noticed how extremely dirty the glass was, even the red lipstick from previous guests was still on my glass. I tried to talk to Mrs. H. (waiter) in a friendly manner. She didn't show much interest and took my bottle and my dirty glass with her. Behind the counter you could see her arguing about the bottle with her colleague and rolling her eyes more and more - it was a very unpleasant situation in which we would have liked to have left already. A little later she came back with a new glass and my old bottle, which only had less than half of the contents left (the rest was in the dirty glass). Your statement “we can't replace the bottle for you, if you want a whole bottle you would have to pay for another bottle or I will fill the cola from the glass back into the bottle”. I explained to Mrs. H. again that I no longer wanted to drink the contents of this dirty glass. Our waitress, Ms. H., then rolled her eyes and left our table without an apology or other agreement. Well, that's not how we imagined a short break after a long journey. It's a shame that was definitely the last time...

New year, new recommendation. The entire staff has changed (one after the other), but also, as before, very nice, attentive staff who have everything under control and in view!!! The kitchen is great, everything is nicely arranged on the plates. The price-performance ratio is right, all in all great!!! 👍👍👍

The service here is very friendly and attentive, but the food here comes in very small portions and only tastes mediocre. In my case, I ordered 2 portions of scrambled eggs in a bowl and received a bowl with very very little content and was not full afterwards. I I also ordered a cocoa which in my case didn't taste good because it was boiled with water, but that's a matter of opinion. The end of the story is that the portions are simply far too small for the price, so there is no quantity price ratio and there was little spice, I was still hungry and disappointed afterwards and thought I would never come here again! Pure disappointment.

We have been regulars at the Mömax Restaurant for a long time, always with 4-6 people. Whether it's breakfast or lunch, the quality is fine for us, and the service is always very friendly and attentive!!! We were there again on Saturday, August 24, 2024, for breakfast. The breakfast was fine as always, but we were served by such an unfriendly gentleman (he was there as a vacation replacement), who was very rude and rude!!! This unfriendliness was truly beyond compare; you shouldn't serve customers like that. If he was having a "bad day," then he should keep his bad mood to himself, because that's how you drive away your customers. And that was despite the fact that the restaurant wasn't very busy at the time and most of the seating was blocked off!!! I myself worked in sales and would never have allowed myself to behave like that!! We then wanted to go to the market for some shopping and then have lunch, which we didn't do and unfortunately spent our money at the Swedish competitor 2km away. We will unfortunately avoid your restaurant until the old staff returns!!!!!!!!!! And please send the unfriendly gentleman who calls himself a waiter to courses where he learns decency, politeness, and respect for customers, because he's effectively in the wrong place. We experienced this as teenagers!!! I would just like to mention that your female waitress from Heidelberg somewhat softened the bad experience – in contrast to her colleague, she was very nice, polite, and attentive, and truly deserved her tip for her friendly manner!!! I should also add that it wasn't just us who felt this way; guests at other tables were also very surprised that they received such terrible service!!! ❗️Addendum❗️ Currently new staff, waitresses and service are all TOP again!!! And the food is also OK!!! Hopefully it stays that way!!! Thank you, we're regulars again 👍

Today I ordered the rump steak. Medium rare, mind you. Cooked to perfection. There's new staff here 🥳. Everyone was super friendly, and even when it was busy, they always had a smile on their faces. Keep it up. I highly recommend the Mömax Restaurant in Karlsruhe.

Food very well priced with a large selection of dishes. However, the reflection is very unfriendly and the waiting times for everything are very long.

The store is full and the two waitresses are completely overwhelmed. The meal takes almost 45 minutes. Ok for something fresh. But here too long. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Breakfast with my wife. Drink: coffee / ok / but don't hope for a free refill, they won't do that. Food: both the big breakfast/really bad, the best was the jam and the orange juice. Service: too slow / unfriendly / forgot the orange juice / picked your nose the whole time / 3 stars only because of the young, friendly woman in the kitchen.

We wanted to have breakfast there and got there just before 11am. Unfortunately the waitress was busy with private conversations and we were ignored for a few minutes. Then I went in to order. It was then said that someone would be coming soon. By the time someone finally tried to come to our table in the outdoor lighting, it was shortly after 11 a.m.......and you guessed it right...we were refused breakfast on the grounds that breakfast was only available until 11 a.m there.....thanks never again!!!!!

Well, I don't know at all how you could wrap it nicely. The service was friendly, the food came quickly. Unfortunately that was it. Much to our chagrin, we had to observe that the gentleman from the service emptied the trash cans with his bare hands WITHOUT gloves, and also picked up trash from the floor - only to then disappear into the kitchen without washing his hands and immediately afterwards return to the guests on the terrace with plates to host. I had been watching him and really hoped he would at least wash his hands briefly behind the counter, but unfortunately he didn't. When my side tomatoes were also sour, it was over. The rest was edible though, I guess I just chose the wrong dish. For our part, hygiene unfortunately gets a 6, as we observed that the place was basically neither mopped nor swept. We won't be coming back, but I hope that perhaps a little more attention to hygiene would be nice as an incentive.

Unfriendly, listless not suitable for service

Mega unfriendly staff in the restaurant. You voluntarily leave without eating anything.

Unfortunately there is only an Italian breakfast, which means that you can no longer order a wholemeal roll for a fair extra charge! Otherwise, you can recommend the food, including dessert and cake, and the nice girls and boys serve nicely and attentively. You can also sit outside in front of the parking lot.

Pizza tastes like it was microwaved for the price. The children's area is good.

Food was good, service was friendly, but could smile more.

Very tasty food for a furniture store restaurant... one or two Italian restaurants in the area can take a leaf out of it

For breakfast it's completely ok for the price... of course you can't expect the best quality... it's your own fault. Very friendly and attentive staff. It's perfect for breakfast and sitting comfortably - and you're also well served with vouchers. Price performance is very good - as I said, you shouldn't expect the best quality, but what is offered is of good quality.

The new concept is just terrible. We were regular customers, there every Saturday for breakfast and occasionally during the week for dinner. Unfortunately, since everything has an Italian touch, it's not worth a visit at all. You won't see any other familiar faces - regular customers - there either. The hard-working service staff suffer greatly from the new concept and have to answer almost every table about how bad the new concept is. In any case, we, and many others, will only visit the restaurant again once we have found the old goodness

Unfortunately only ciabatta bread for breakfast. Me and my mom bought two extra rolls for €1.30 each. They were definitely baked rolls. I can also go to the bakery and have fresh rolls! Especially since our fried eggs were brown on the bottom. Back then the breakfast and selection was definitely better. The last time we were there was in February, when there was still normal breakfast, pancakes, etc... An older couple also arrived at the restaurant at 10:55 a.m. They weren't allowed to take their car or dog in, which was of course okay. By the time the older couple had “parked” their car and their dog off to the side, it was 11:04 and the couple was no longer allowed to have breakfast there, breakfast time ends at 11:00 a.m. I find that very unfortunate!

Mömax Restaurant Miserabel habe ein Hänchenfilet vom Grill gegessen für 12,90€ das Filet hatte maximal 50g-70g um von Geschmack war da nichts zu späten weder das Filet noch das Grillgemüse. Ich kann nur davon abraten dort zu Essen.

Essen kommt immer heiß und lecker an den Tisch. Die Preise sind vollkommen ok für das essen was serviert wird. Wir kommen gerne zum essen und es schmeckt jedes mal. Bedienung ist freundlich und die Tische sowie die Räumlichkeit ist immer sauber. Update : leider nur noch 1 Stern Warum ? Die Portionen sind geschrumpft und die Preise gleich geblieben. Die Speisekarte wurde dafür auch ordentlich ausgedünnt. Leider auch alles italienisch angehaucht was zum Flair und dem Möbelhaus überhaupt nicht passt. Zum Schnitzel Rucolasalat mit Parmesan? Nein danke in Zukunft lieber woanders

Große Auswahl, gute Qualität und sehr angemessene Preise. Super Tagesangebote. Herausragend ist das Personal....immer freundlich und flink....wo bekommt man in der heutigen Zeit nur solches Personal?

Das Frühstück beim Mömax Restaurant ist sehr gut und reichlich. Da könnte man jeden Morgen Frühstücken wie im Urlaub in Österreich. Und nd die Bedienungen sind sehr freundlich und auf zack.

Ich bin sehr gerne hier zum Schnitzel essen. Portionen sind recht groß und dass für einen vernünftigen Preis.

Ich muss leider abziehen und werde auch nicht mehr wie sonst regelmäßig hingehen da mein Frühstück einfach keine Paprika mehr enthält wie es aber in der Karte nach wie vor beschrieben und abgebildet ist und jetzt nicht mal mehr das Bircher Müsli also wenn man nach einer Karte bestellt wäre für mein Geld mindestens eine Info drin dass es so nicht mehr existiert dann hätte ich wenigstens etwas anderes nehmen können aber suche mir jetzt ein anderes Restaurant. Der Smoothie war am Anfang übrigens auch noch lecker und ist mittlerweile zu dickflüssig und schmeckt nicht mehr gut. Echt schade weil wir wirklich gerne gekommen sind für eben genau die Sachen die jetzt einfach still und heimlich abgeschafft wurden für den gleichen Preis, verständlich dass man es versucht überall zu sparen aber schmecken sollte das Zeugs halt trotzdem wenn man dafür noch das gleiche Geld verlangt.

Essen war ok. Etwas lange Wartezeit!

Größe Auswahl an Gerichten zu moderaten Preisen. Leckere Soße wird extra gereicht und nicht einfach drüber geleert. Außerdem wird man nett bedient und die Kids haben einen Raum zum Rutschen, klettern und malen. Durch große Fenster hat man alles im Blick. Wir werden gerne zum Stöbern und anschließendem Essen wieder kommen.

Wenn es richtig billig wäre könnte man sagen: netter Service dass ihr Fertigprodukte warm macht. Zum aufgerufen Preis ist es jedoch Quatsch. Besser wo anders essen.

Seit Jahren sind wir Stammgäste man kann vor dem Shoppen schön Frühstücken und die Auswahl und Qualität ist Ok Service ist immer nett und zuvorkommend. Man kann auch verschiedene Menüs Mittags essen.

Gut und günstig mal schnell eine Kleinigkeit zu Essen. Personal immer sehr freundlich! Kommen gerne wieder!
