Everything was top-notch. Very good food, a cool concept, and excellent service from Sandra. Highly recommended.

The location with the view is magnificent. The procedure on the terrace was just annoying for me. Only card payments, relatively expensive, but I'd gladly pay a little less ;-) (which prompted me to unpack the old saying about how much a full cup of coffee would cost). They work with pagers (or whatever those things are called that buzz when the food is ready), which I find unpleasant and impersonal. Probably efficient, but that's not all, and it doesn't suit the location, I think. If I come back again, I'd gladly bring a picnic basket to the terraces below :-)

We had a truly lovely evening at Anders on the Turmberg! The location with the view over Karlsruhe is simply amazing, plus the modern, cozy ambiance – you immediately feel at home. We were here for dinner on business with a mid-double-digit number of people. Later in the evening, the last five remaining guests in our group were asked to leave the restaurant, as otherwise, additional charges would have been incurred for the service staff. This practice, while unusual, was understandable up to this point. It became problematic after some guests took their glasses outside to finish their drinks. The owner confronted the guests, threatening them with physical violence, and also filmed them in front of the restaurant. This video was subsequently forwarded to the respective managers with a request for a statement. Furthermore, we as a group were referred to in a general, derogatory manner. Given our mid-four-figure turnover and the fact that we are employees of one of Karlsruhe's largest employers, the question arises whether such behavior is appropriate or wise. Mistakes can happen in the restaurant industry – but handling them professionally is crucial. In this case, we unfortunately experienced behavior that, in our view, is neither excusable nor acceptable. Therefore, we would like to refrain from a detailed evaluation of the service and food, as this would overshadow the overall picture. If Mr. Anders lacks the necessary composure when dealing with guests, it might be more advisable for him to focus on activities that do not involve direct guest contact.

For a business dinner, I booked the table (in the restaurant) with the best view. Monika took absolutely fantastic care of everything. Because the weather was perfect that day, we had, of course, reserved the nicest outdoor table for ourselves. Sandra provided excellent service. Not too intrusive, but always within reach, she served our table throughout the evening. Absolutely friendly and respectful. Of course, a huge thank you to the kitchen, too, because the food was beautifully presented and very, very delicious. Highly recommended!!! The next business dinner in the Karlsruhe area will definitely be held here again! See you soon.

A thoroughly successful evening! The ox ribs were an absolute dream – tender, aromatic, and perfectly prepared. Kudos to the kitchen, and especially to chef Martin. Sandra looked after us wonderfully with her warm manner – attentive, friendly, and with a great deal of charm. A fantastic team, great food, and a wonderful atmosphere. We'd love to come back!

We were here again today and booked the Summer 2025 Gourmet Dinner. It was a lovely evening, with delicious food and well-presented dishes. The service was also very good. The only downside was that it was very warm in the back of the restaurant.

Wonderful ambiance, great emotions, and views as far as the horizon. Wines from Von Winning, among others, are a revelation.

The food was delicious but I almost starved and spent a fortune.

This restaurant is truly for connoisseurs only. The dishes on offer are a real treat for the palate.

We were very disappointed. The food was very expensive and bad. The turkey salad was a disaster. The salad wasn't cooked, the dressing was a greasy mayonnaise sauce, and you had to hunt for the turkey piece.

The expansive view over the Rhine Valley alone is worth the trip. I've rarely eaten as well as here. It's also ideal for family celebrations.

We visited the Hofbistro for the first time for an Aperol and tarte flambée evening. Everyone was satisfied. The food was delicious, and so was the Aperol. The service was excellent, and the chef likes to greet guests personally. Plus, a beautiful sunset in beautiful weather. What more could you want? We'd love to come back. Thank you very much.

We've been to the bistro up front many times, and yesterday was the first time we've eaten outside on the terrace in the restaurant. The view is magnificent, the roof is flexible, so it was adjusted several times throughout the evening so we could enjoy the beautiful weather to the fullest. The introductory menu was outstanding! The service was first-class: very attentive, calm, and always present but not at all intrusive – very pleasant in every way. Our requests were immediately addressed. A big thank you and praise to our waitress, Sandra, who accompanied us excellently throughout the evening. It won't be our last visit.

The courtyard bistro is very relaxed, with a very pleasant atmosphere and a good selection of drinks. On Wednesdays, we enjoyed a very good and reasonably priced Palatinate spritzer served in a glass. We booked the "Genuss-Summer" special offer in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the service wasn't sure what we'd get; there was no special menu. We had to ask for the drinks menu twice, and no assistance or advice was offered regarding the wine. There were two or three different dishes between the courses, which ranged from good to very good. Overall, we have significantly higher expectations of service in such an upscale restaurant, which unfortunately wasn't met. The "Genuss-Summer" special offer was implemented much better in other restaurants we've tried.

We were at Anders on the Turmberg as part of the Gourmet Weeks. It was a fantastic evening. From a great wine recommendation from the chef, to a fantastic menu with many interesting and delicious dishes, to very attentive and attentive service without being intrusive. An all-around successful evening – many thanks to the entire team.

Our visit to this restaurant was a complete disappointment. 1. Waiting time: There were no free seats, so we had to wait until other guests left. 2. Hygiene: We even found cockroaches while eating – we had to remove them ourselves, which is absolutely unacceptable. 3. Quality: The food was cold, undercooked, and overall very poorly prepared. 4. Taste: It had no taste at all, seemed cheap and "thrown together" without any love. We've visited many restaurants, but we've never had such a bad experience. We will definitely never go back here – it's simply disappointing.

The food was delicious, but you should order at least two hot dishes to feel full, regardless of whether you had an appetizer or not. The chef suggested sharing the dishes: a good idea, but not possible because the portions were so small. The ravioli, for example, consisted of three pieces (not particularly large), so about €4 each. I wouldn't go back, even though the view is wonderful. It would be better to try the self-service food truck in the same area.

Very unfriendly reception on July 24, 2022. I went upstairs in 30-degree heat and wanted to order water because I was dying of thirst. Every request was refused!!! They don't accept cash!! Since when does cash stink? Anders should think about this again. Not recommended.

Yesterday, for a birthday, we and some friends were able to enjoy a "wine tasting with menu" at Anders on the Turmberg. A wonderful wine tasting where we were served wines from the Durlach State Winery with a specially tailored menu. Everyone in Karlsruhe knows the breathtaking view from Durlach's local mountain over the rooftops of the city, and yet it's an experience that inspires me every time. I've been to this spot numerous times, but you never tire of being here. When the sun turns the sky red, that's when it arrives: THE TURMBERG MOMENT: Soft light that allows for wonderful photos and a very unique mood and atmosphere. A touch of orange-gold peace. The wines from the Durlach State Winery were all delicious and, for us, paired perfectly with the dishes we had chosen. Every course is a feast for the eyes, from the presentation and the porcelain used to the decoration—every lover of aesthetics will find something to their liking here, without the feeling of unnecessary or artificial frills. Honesty is a term that fits this entire evening very well: friendly, attentive, and warm staff, where you genuinely feel cared for and appreciated as a guest. The charismatic chef, Sören, who isn't above any task in his business, is particularly adept at guiding his guests throughout the evening and making them feel welcome. An unforgettable wine tasting in a special setting, where the quality, atmosphere, and accompaniment were 100% perfect. Absolutely fantastic.

An amazing view over Karlsruhe and the summer sunset! Flammkuchen served with a delicious selection of wine are plus points. 🌄 Anders' restaurant management should rethink their sympathetic behavior towards guests. Toilets could be cleaner.

The end of the week couldn't have been better. The new terrace, the food (tapas-style), the excellent service, and of course the familiar atmosphere on Karlsruhe's local mountain made for a truly enjoyable and memorable evening. Great! We'd love to come back!

Yesterday, the two of us went to Anders on the Turmberg – incredibly good food, warm and attentive service in one of the most beautiful locations in Karlsruhe! In short: a perfect evening – absolutely recommended. Thank you, Team Anders.

Our first visit to Anders am Turmberg will definitely not be our last. Starting with the stunning location and arguably the best view of Karlsruhe, we received a warm welcome. The service was attentive, very friendly, and knowledgeable. After an excellent and highly recommended aperitif (tip: calamansi!), it was time to choose our dishes. The food-sharing/tapas concept is great for two people, and the selection offers a wealth of options. There's also a wide variety of vegetarian options. Every dish was a hit, delighting us with its complexity and combination of flavors. From the Baba Gaboush to the fennel, pineapple, and calamansi salad, to the fabulous ravioli and tender ox ribs, we took a culinary journey around the world. A big compliment to the kitchen team and our server Sandra, who made the evening a true highlight. We'll definitely be back!

Everything went wrong here. The beautiful view has to make up for a lot. The coffee was undrinkable, the ready-made cakes were frozen. The response to the complaint was "unacceptable"! A similar situation occurred at the adjacent tables.

Wow! Why did we only go there now? It's hard to believe we haven't tried this fantastic restaurant all these years. The food is absolutely wonderful. The menu is very, very well-chosen, and every single component is perfectly balanced. The service is also top-notch! Despite the full place, it was very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is modern and stylish. We will definitely try the Hofbistro soon. We can definitely recommend this restaurant without reservation. Thank you very much!

Drove here for drinks and food, only to find the food truck closed. Update after the business response: Restaurant is reservation only so not sure what they mean by you could have just come inside and eat inside. The weather was also nice when we visited (and the drink stand was open) so still not sure why the food truck was closed. Update to Nachtrag: We asked to be seated inside and were sent away. I understand that this business is allowed to close the food truck when it’s unprofitable. But I wasted 2 hours of my day, and am allowed to share my negative experience. Instead of justifying the bad experience, it may be a good idea to think about ways to improve your guests’ experience. Updating your social media when closed may be a great start. Hope management makes appropriate changes.

Ich war jetzt das zweite Mal bei Anders auf dem Turmberg. Diesesmal hat aber den Ausschlag gegeben, daß ich hierher nicht nochmal gehe. Das Reservierungssystem klappt gut, ich frage mich aber warum er den Grund des Besuches abfrägt, wenn es bisher bei keinem Besuch eine Rolle gespielt hat, daß ich einen besonderen Anlass eingegeben habe. So also mein 60. Geburtstag...(vielleicht hätte man ja mal versuchen können herauszufindes was der besondere Anlass ist..). Die Karte war ganz interessant. Eine Art Tapas wo man sich die Gänge selbst zusammenstellt. Das Personal betonte, dass die Mengen auf 5 Gänge ausgelegt seien. Bei 12-15 Euro pro Gang ohne Brot kommt an also ohne Getränke auf mindestens 65 Euro pro Person. Da es Sommer ist haben wir versucht mit 4 Gängen auszukommen. Ich empfehle es nicht. Ich war nach 4 Gängen definitiv nicht gesättigt. Das Essen war bis auf die Paella soweit i.O. Bei der Paella fehlte komplett ein mediteraner Gechmack. Reis ohne Safran und ohne Gewürze - so eine Paella bekommt man in Madrid am Flughafen im Schnellrestaurant. Der komplette Gau war aber die völlig unprofessionellen Bedienungen. Bei dem Preis erwarte ich eigentlich auch geschultes Personal. Es fing schon damit an, daß überflüssige Weingläser nicht abgeräumt wurden (ein Biertrinker). Die leeren Aperitifgläser standen bis fast zum Schluss auf dem Tisch. Der Kellner erlaubte sich sogar meine 84 jährige Mutter zu bitten, Ihm die schwere Paellaplatte hinüberzureichen, obwohl er 30 Sekunden später an Ihrer Seite stand und selbst hätte abräumen können. Der Besteckkasten ist zwar nett, aber das Besteck reichte nicht einmal für 4 Gänge. Also wurden wir aufgefordert das Besteck des vorherigen Ganges zu nutzen, es also nicht abzugeben anstatt Nachschub zu besorgen. Da gat Herr Sören ANders wohl sein Personal aus seine Weihnachtsmarkt ähnlichen Ausenstelle im Restaurant beschäftigt. Lieber Herr Anders, wenn Sie sich einmal die Mühe machen würden durch Ihr Restaurant zu laufen würden Sie die Mängel sehr wahrscheinlich schnell bemerken. Aber Ihr Interesse an Leistung scheint stark reduziert zu sein. Also wünsche ich Ihnen etwas mehr Geschäftssinn oder Sie konzentrieren sich auf Weihnachtsmarktküche. Das könnte mit dem Personal klappen....

We (four people) visited Anders for the first time on July 9th. It was very impressive. The view is, of course, one eye-catcher – the food is another: The dishes not only look very elegantly presented, but also impress as a tasteful experience! A feast for the palate rather than gluttony is the order of the day here. You'll still be full. Kudos to the kitchen! The service is attentive and friendly. The same goes for the chef, who is very dedicated. All in all: I will come back and recommend it to others. 😊👍🏼

Not so great in the bistro area. We had the Caesar salad with turkey strips. The salad dressing had a tuna flavor, which wasn't in the description—you have to like it. I ordered two, but one was delivered, and the kitchen was closed. The staff, who only have limited German skills, were overwhelmed by the number of guests that day. It wasn't possible to check if I'd ordered correctly because I didn't get a bill. I could have figured out the amount myself that something wasn't right. Probably. My fault. One more note: especially when the awnings are extended, but also in general, I think smoking should be banned on the terrace, as it's really disruptive.

We had a wonderful evening with a delicious culinary journey. We were thoroughly satisfied. A bottle of water was forgotten here and there, but the friendly service staff went above and beyond to ensure their guests' well-being. We felt very well looked after and were among the first to try the new menu. Congratulations, it was delicious. We would have liked to try much more, but the cheese platter at the end always takes the cake :-D

In summer, beautiful sunsets with a view over Karlsruhe

The food at the bistro was overpriced, the tarte flambée was cold, and the salad was swimming in water. We asked for the table to be cleaned. The waiter then came with a paper towel and smeared the previous diners' leftovers all over our legs.

As always: top-notch – simply fantastic outdoors, too. I think the best part is when Mr. Anders eats outside with his customers at the bar table and is just as cold as we are :). Quality: Outstanding.

We were at the Hofbistro. I had a Caesar salad for €17, but unfortunately, it didn't taste good at all. Extremely fishy, ​​and the dressing just wasn't good. The chicken breast was dry and tough. Even though it's "just" the Hofbistro, you expect a bit more quality for €17. It wasn't beautifully presented either. You had to cut the lettuce hearts yourself because they were placed whole on your plate. There wasn't much of a selection of drinks. The view was nice, but that was it, unfortunately. The folding chairs are incredibly uncomfortable, so you can only sit for a maximum of an hour.

Anders on the Turmberg. Anders has a prime location that many restaurateurs would love to have. Located on the Turmberg in Karlsruhe-Durlach. Not only does it offer excellent cuisine, the location also offers many options. The view is amazing...the view from the Turmberg over Karlsruhe. 1. Very good cuisine The food is highly recommended. 2. Market atmosphere at Christmas and other times in the courtyard. Classic, modern, and rustic, a bit of everything. 3. A really good event location. The event was very well attended and very well received. You can also simply sit comfortably on the outdoor terrace with a good glass of wine and enjoy the fantastic view.

Vor Jahren waren wir öfters da und dann hat das Niveau extrem nachgelassen. Nun hatte ich ein Geschäftsessen mit 11 Personen und wollte dem Restaurant noch eine Chance geben. Vor 4 Monaten wurde wohl auf ausschließlich Tapas umgestellt. Ehrlich gesagt haben die Sachen nichts mit Tapas zu tun. Schmecken größtenteils nicht. Eher ekelige Sachen wie Schnecken und Kalbsbries. Die Austern waren nicht gekühlt. Der Service eine Katastrophe. Mir war es fast peinlich gegenüber den Gästen. Satt geworden ist niemand. Trotz einer Rechnung von 660 und 3,5h Dauer. Wein habe ich unzählig oft angemahnt und kam nach einer Stunde. Zwischenzeitlich war ich in der Küche um mich zu beschweren.....Ich verstehe es einfach nicht wie man sowas fabrizieren kann.

Food, view and service were great

In front of the restaurant is the "courtyard," where self-service food trucks offer dishes like tarte flambée, Maultaschen (swabian ravioli), and meatballs. This is a great place to enjoy the sunset; the atmosphere is lovely. There are plenty of Spritz and wine spritzers to drink. Non-alcoholic drinks like non-alcoholic IPAs are unfortunately lacking, and homemade sodas are usually sold out... what a shame. The Crodino Spritz for €9.50 is the only non-alcoholic drink that's even remotely impressive. Could they expand the menu for pregnant women?

Fantastic location, and in my opinion, we also had the best outdoor seating. The restrooms were very clean and nice, but a bit confusing to find. The only thing that bothered us was that they only accepted card payments.

A Wine Tasting with a Difference We were privileged to attend the most prestigious wine tasting in Karlsruhe – a true highlight! Not only was there great wine and excellent entertainment, but also a breathtaking view of the entire city of Karlsruhe. Exciting anecdotes and interesting information about the origin and composition of each wine were shared. A thoroughly enjoyable evening – we'd definitely be back! Many thanks to the host for this wonderful experience.

The young woman on the counter told us, we could take the food with us, so we eagerly ordered. But then, we didn't get our food as takeout,so we had to leave without food and our money wasn't payed back either. We didn't experience a so poorly organised place ever.

This is our third time here, and every time we've had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The service is very friendly, attentive, and absolutely authentic—they love to laugh. The food creations are incredibly exciting to try. They are very individual creations that transport you to many different places in terms of taste. I really enjoy eating and cooking myself, and I'm always excited to see what the menu has to offer, looking forward to the high-quality food and a wonderful evening. Many thanks to the entire team!

Stunning view of Karlsruhe and perfect for an after-work drink!

One of the most beautiful locations in Karlsruhe, with a fantastic view. The service, however, is a letdown. At Anders am Turmberg, they don't seem to need guests; that's certainly how you feel as a paying visitor. I was there for the last time on May 18, 2025, and I will avoid this restaurant in the future. The overall concept also influences my rating of the ambience. When you leave the awnings down on a day with a mix of sun and clouds and a cool breeze, the few sunny spots are in high demand, and the remaining people sit unnecessarily in the shade and freeze, and the owner doesn't respond to several requests to open the awnings, then, for my taste, that's the height of ignorance and customer unfriendliness. My rating for the food concerns the dishes in the self-service area. They're okay, but the price-performance ratio isn't right. Feedback on your response: There were no sunny seating areas in the courtyard, and the DJ event was on the sun terrace, which made the courtyard unattractive. Incidentally, individual control of the awnings wouldn't have been necessary, as certainly not a single guest wanted to sit in the shade. Some of the female guests sat with blankets and shivered, while the other guests sat in the sun in T-shirts. Tip: Simply asking the guests what they would like is also an option, especially since several requests have already been made, from our group of four alone.

Eight of us went to the Hofbistro today after a hike. We had a variety of food: salad, potato wedges, and cake. It was a self-service restaurant. Everything was fine.

Still a top-notch restaurant. We were here for lunch, and the price was absolutely fair. 2 courses around €25, 3 courses a little over €30. Excellent service, very tasty food. It's just a shame that the Hofbistro has the better view of Karlsruhe.

On April 25th I was able to celebrate my birthday at Winzer@Turmberg with my colleagues. It was a wonderful evening with great wines and a perfectly harmonized, sensational menu. The extremely successful combination of food and drinks was also moderated in a very entertaining way by an employee of the winery and Sören Anders. The whole thing was rounded off with a sunset with a view of Karlsruhe. Thank you for the great evening and hopefully see you soon!

I came here for the first time with friends and I'm disappointed with the restaurant. (April 26, 2025) The view is a dream, no question. But the restaurant was very poor. It started with only half of our order being taken and understood at the counter. Then it took almost 10 minutes for two cappuccinos and an elderflower mint lemonade. However, we had ordered three cappuccinos, so it took 5 minutes longer for the third. The apple pie I ordered arrived after 15 minutes from the chef, who showed absolutely no motivation on his face and just shoved the tablet into my hand. I thanked him, but he was already somewhere else and didn't respond. What a shame. The apple pie was also ice cold. We suspect it had been taken out of the freezer and they tried to thaw it in the air. If I waited that long for a piece of pie, we thought we'd get a warm slice. But that was a mistake. Once we were seated, we took a sip of the cappuccino and noticed that the milk tasted very floury and sour. Conclusion: After I pointed this out to the two young girls behind the counter, they both tried it and realized the milk was bad. We got new ones, but the price of €3.80 doesn't justify the cappuccino or the contents. Small cups and so much money wasted. It's a shame that the restaurant is losing so much potential. There's so much good that could be done here. We'd happily come back for the view, but we won't order anything from there again.

Different on Turmberg! Exceptional location – the view alone is a dream. And the concept: absolutely unique! We were able to try out the new food concept in the restaurant today. At first we were a bit irritated – the products are great, but the prices are so fair? The concept: Either you order a menu across the board or you simply put everything on the table and share – to share. We tried the menu up and down - it was consistently great. Ps. Top wine list fairly calculated At the end there was a sundowner nightcap in the court bistro. Dear anders team: You are great!

We called in advance to see if the Hofbistro was open. That was answered in the affirmative. When we arrived it was closed. They said you could order in the restaurant. We wanted to do that, but were then not allowed to sit outside, even though other guests were sitting outside. Apparently you prefer not to have any guests at all.

Very good and unusual food, service very accommodating, everything was great 👍👍

We sat outside and there is a do it yourself policy so there are stands where you can get your drinks and snacks, I don't know if they do it differently in the summer, it's not quite as nice as it is right now. Well let's move on to the wine we drank there, which was phenomenal. Very good and the view is delicious!

I had a great experience at ‘Anders am Turmberg’. The food was excellent, the service attentive and friendly. The team is team is young, charming and attentive. Nevertheless, you never feel like you are being watched or pressured.

Karlsruhe is at your feet, great views. Idyllic place but the outside area needs to be spruced up again.

Gestern hatten wir das große Vergnügen, im Restaurant Anders auf dem Thurnberg zu speisen – und es war einfach vorzüglich! Besonders beeindruckt haben mich die Jakobsmuscheln, die mit einem Hauch von Passionsfrucht verfeinert waren – eine außergewöhnliche Kombination, die perfekt harmonierte und geschmacklich begeisterte. Das absolute Highlight war jedoch das Schweinebäckchen: so unfassbar zart, dass es förmlich auf der Zunge zerging! Jeder Gang war eine geschmackliche Offenbarung, die Küche überzeugt mit höchster Raffinesse und Leidenschaft. Die Atmosphäre war entspannt, der Service herzlich und professionell, und die Weinbegleitung perfekt abgestimmt. Ein phänomenaler Abend, den wir sicher nicht so schnell vergessen werden. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team und an Sören Anders – wir kommen definitiv wieder!

An absolute highlight! The ride on the small mountain railway is an experience in itself and offers breathtaking views. Once at the top, a great restaurant awaits you with a panoramic view of the majestic tower castle. The cocktails are exquisite, the atmosphere is relaxed and perfect for a special moment above the rooftops of the city. Absolutely recommended!

A top-class evening in the Anders restaurant on the Thurnberg Yesterday we had the great pleasure of dining in the Anders restaurant on the Thurnberg - and it was simply excellent! I was particularly impressed by the scallops, which were refined with a touch of passion fruit - an extraordinary combination that harmonized perfectly and was delicious in terms of taste. The absolute highlight, however, was the pork cheek: so incredibly tender that it literally melted in your mouth! Every course was a taste revelation, the cuisine impresses with the utmost sophistication and passion. The atmosphere was relaxed, the service warm and professional, and the wine pairing was perfectly matched. A phenomenal evening that we will certainly not soon forget. Many thanks to the entire team and to Sören Anders – we will definitely be back!
