Everything was really good, we were a family of 6 having dinner here yesterday, and all dishes ordered were simply delicious , we were sitting outside by the riverside which was really nice and cool, everything was simply spot on, However I would like to give just one comment that the ceilings in the outer area of the hotel entrance are not clean have many spider webs and are dirty , I would urge the hotel management to please look into this and clean it on a regular basis.

The restaurant is decorated in traditional Chinese style and is very impressive. The waiter is very friendly and welcoming. The portions are generous, and the ribs are very soft and easy to eat. The xiaolongbao taste good, but the dough isn't very elastic and tends to stick to the plate.

I heard it was delicious, so I went there. Overall, it was okay, but the food was a bit too salty... The fried rice was too bland for my child and I, and the tantan noodles were salty. Noodle soups usually need to be a bit more seasoned to match the noodles, but the noodles were salty and the fried rice was bland, which was disappointing.

This place is amazing! Aside from the friendly staff and nice decor, the food is very tasty. The portions are big and we had the chicken with peanuts and beef in chili oil. Generous portions and you could taste the ingredients in each dish. The chicken and shrimp dim sum were very good, especially if you dip them in the chili paste. The hot and sour soup was good but I had to add extra rice to l vinegar and chili sauce to really get the kick it needed. If you're looking for authentic and great tasting Chinese food then this is the place.

Food was absolutely amazing, really that and authentic. We were 4 and paid 160 incl. tip while sharing different dishes and drinks. Highly recommend going here, spicy foods are also adjusted to European tongues while remaining the typical numbing sensation you’d expect when eating mapo tofu

It has great food. Some of the best Chinese food in Berlin. The only reason I’m not giving a 5 is because after the renovation the place fully lost is traditional flare and authentic feel. Now it just looks like a boring canteen.

We are vegans and we visited this restaurant yesterday. There’s a large section of the menu labeled as vegetarian. Next to each dish you can see the allergens, so it’s easy to know if it contains egg or not. There are plenty of vegan dishes, but they are not labeled as such. There are several vegan meat dishes with vegetables. If you are vegan or vegetarian, ask them not to use oyster sauce in your dish. We tried them and they were delicious and generous in portion. I wish they labeled them as vegan, but I think they’ll do that very soon.It’s a very interesting restaurant, with authentic food. Many Chinese people eat there, since it’s the restaurant connected to the Chinese embassy, which is just across the street. The atmosphere is cheerful, diverse, international, colorful, modern and multicultural. We waited almost half an hour or more for the food, but the restaurant, which is very large, was completely full. The wait was worth it. Next time, we’ll go at a less busy time. --------- We went back on a Sunday around noon. This time it wasn’t as crowded, so service was quick and our vegan dishes came out in under 10 minutes. Everything was delicious, and the staff were really friendly. There’s a great variety of vegan options too. Definitely a perfect spot for a Sunday. Highly recommended—thank you! 🌱😋

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio here isn't right. I had noodles with chicken, and the taste was disappointing; it didn't taste like anything. It was mostly noodles and very little chicken, and all for 13.50. You can get that at a snack bar, too. It's a shame – at least you can sit outside and enjoy the view. But I can confirm that inside, it's unfortunately not at all cozy and very loud.

The restaurant was close to our hotel and its decor immediately caught our eye. The menu was varied and included many traditional dishes. I was a bit skeptical at first because a lot of Chinese restaurants offer "traditional" cuisine, but unfortunately a lot of it is frozen. But this one was definitely different. The WangTangs and a few other DimSum that we ordered were homemade. The noodles in the noodle soup were also delicious, as they weren't the typical noodles you usually get in Chinese restaurants. It was so good that we ate there both evenings we were in Berlin. The service was also very attentive and quick. The best proof of the authentic cuisine is the large number of Chinese people who visit the shop.

No different from a Chinese takeaway. Some of the food was served in plastic containers. The taste was also a disaster. They definitely don't cook with love here; they just blast it out for the masses. And last but not least, you're not taken seriously as a guest here. I don't need that!

Three of us traveled from Königs Wusterhausen that day especially because of the TikTok videos. The service was OK, but since we were sitting outside and there were always skaters skating there, it was loud... I had the beef with Szechuan peppercorns. Unfortunately, it was completely inedible. It numbed my entire mouth, even though I love spicy food. A note when ordering, "Caution, it's really very spicy. Are you sure?" would have been more than appropriate at this point. Of course, I was willing to pay in full, no question. But the server couldn't care less whether I liked it or not. What a shame.

Very delicious food and definitely a different dimension to Chinese cuisine than what you'd normally find. The extensive selection and the fine composition of the dishes are particularly good. The waiter, who had no accent and served the guests with a Berlin wit, was also funny. The location is beautifully situated on the Spree River, and just a few meters from the street makes the place feel more tranquil. All in all, I hope to return soon.

A piece of China in Berlin – culinary, vibrant, authentic For me, the Ming Dynasty is much more than a restaurant – it's a place where memories come alive. Hardly anywhere else in Berlin feels so immediately transported back to China while eating. And that's not just due to the cuisine, but also to the people, the atmosphere, and the many small encounters. What I find particularly fascinating is that many employees of the Chinese Embassy, which is directly across the street, meet here regularly. They come for lunch, sometimes in groups, sometimes alone, some even order Peking duck to take home. It's almost like a small, family-run canteen with an international flair – everyone speaks perfect German, often English, and yet a shared cultural foundation always resonates in the conversations. Many come from very different regions of China, have family roots there – and yet they have developed their own language of interaction here, which is wonderful to observe. The Ming Dynasty is very special in culinary terms. It was the first time I'd experienced both versions of hot and sour soup being offered: the dark, intensely spicy version often found in Sichuan or northern China, and the lighter, milder version, which is more familiar to many Germans. The lighter version is loved by many here – perhaps because it tastes so pleasantly familiar. But this very choice shows how seriously culinary diversity is taken here. The Peking duck is a classic and tastes great here – with tender pancakes, fresh leeks, and hoi sin sauce. The Gong Bao chicken with Sichuan peppercorns, the Ma Po tofu, and the fish dishes "Ma Po style" are also wonderfully spicy, richly seasoned, and simply authentic. The restaurant's new interior design is modern, open, and traditional without losing its original character. And even if the price level isn't suitable for every day, the Ming Dynasty remains a place for special moments for me. A place where people meet, memories are shared – and sometimes just one taste is enough to relive an entire trip to China in my mind. For me, it's a place for special occasions, a reward meal, "a day of travel." I'm just a little sad that I wasn't in town when the old sinks outside were given away – they would have fit perfectly in my apartment. But hey – my bad luck, not theirs. 😄 Overall: Anyone looking for authenticity, anyone wanting to travel through culinary experiences, anyone who enjoys strolling between languages, cultures, and traditions – will be very happy here. For me, the Ming Dynasty is a fixed, beloved place. ...

If you like Chinese food and want to get your money's worth, this is the place to be. Right next to the Embassy of the People's Republic, this is truly a top address.

It suits Taiwanese tastes very well. None of the dishes are disappointing. The price is very affordable. I highly recommend it.

Food is so good I always forget to make photos! It’s a good place to go in a big company otherwise you’ll end up eating to much(like I did)😅 portions are huge My personal vegetarian favorite: braised eggplant 🤌delicious and melting in mouth. I like steamed buns and dim sums are good too! I also like spring rolls and starter with thin strips of tofu(I don’t have photo of it I just like it so much!!) The stuff is nice and friendly

It’s my first time to eat at Daming here. The grilled fish is pretty good, but it could be a little spicier for me personally. You can emphasize this when ordering, but I forgot today, hahahaha. I recommend everyone to come and eat. There are a lot of people and it’s quite popular!

The food was actually quite good, but the service left much to be desired. To start, Waiter A urged me to order not once, but twice within the first 10 minutes of sitting down - during a relatively quiet, early dinner hour. It felt oddly rushed, considering the place wasn’t exactly buzzing with activity. Then came Waiter B, who, despite having a rather cool tattoo, seemed far more committed to style than service. In the middle of placing an additional order, he began turning his back to me - mid-sentence - clearly not listening. Unsurprisingly, I had to repeat myself after he realized I was still talking. A dramatic pause, unintentionally brought to you by inattentiveness. He looked cooler than he acted. Part of me wondered if speaking in German instead of Chinese would’ve made a difference - or at least earned me a full sentence’s worth of attention.

The service was so unfriendly, we left immediately. If you don't know the menu and stay a little longer, you'll immediately get dirty looks like you've committed a crime. I hope the waiters were just having a bad day and aren't always like that...

Since the coronavirus pandemic, the food has significantly declined in quality, in my opinion. It's now rather average. The service used to be friendlier, too.

It is said that the chef is from Sichuan... But don't order the maoxuewang and fuqifeipian, they are pure foreign food. The dry-fried green beans are delicious...

The interior now looks a bit like a train station concourse, and the dishes are served on plastic plates. The staff is excellent as always. I hope things will return to a bit of the way they used to be and that the kitchen will serve a bit of authentic Chinese cuisine.

As a Chinese, I think the Chinese food in this restaurant is the best I have ever had in Germany (no one else). The service quality is very good, the waiter is very enthusiastic, and the food is served in a timely manner. I will come again next time.

The food was unfortunately disappointing – some dishes were served cold, including rice and fish. I had severe stomach upset afterward. The quality seemed to be industrially processed, which makes me concerned about freshness and hygiene. The service was unfriendly and inconsistent. While some guests were treated very politely, as an Asian person, I felt less than welcome. Even though the restaurant was almost empty, I was pressured to leave quickly. I cannot recommend this restaurant for either the food or the way customers were treated.

Well... what can I say... not everything they tinker with is good; after the renovation, Ming is unfortunately more of an airport-style snack bar. It's a shame... they were given very poor advice for the renovation. Classic food in a snack bar atmosphere at those prices... sorry... that's it for my frequent visits... The portions are getting smaller and smaller... it won't last. But the embassy around the corner will definitely guarantee survival. It's a shame... it really was my favorite place in Berlin.

We had to wait two hours for the Peking duck. First, our entire receipt was lost, and then the food finally arrived, except for the Peking duck. When it finally arrived, no one wanted it, and we left without it. It may be a rare occurrence, but it ruined our evening.

The seating directly by the water was not available. It was a driveway that was heavily used by cars, motorcycles, etc. The food was not as usual. The hot and sour soup was too salty. Very greasy. The crispy duck was too dry, and the crust was almost black. We also didn't feel well-received as guests.

Nothing special, the food served there is something you can get at a snack bar - only it's way overpriced. Not to mention that after waiting an hour for our food, one of the waiters approached us and said, "Have you ordered yet?" We said, "Yes, yours!" The waiter just replied, "Oh." After another 30 minutes, two of the three dishes finally arrived, but the Peking duck was still missing because, the waiter said, the Spree duck was sold out. After waiting for almost two hours, the Peking duck arrived - we refused to be served and just wanted the bill. We had to wait another 20 minutes for the bill, only for a waitress to explain to us that they were just staff. This "just staff" had forgotten to place our order! When we asked them further how they would accommodate us for this behavior, they still didn't answer our questions. What a shame, we visited the restaurant for the first time and were really looking forward to it. After this experience, we won't be coming back.

I highly recommend the beef and onion fried dumplings, which are very chewy and delicious! The lamb legs that XHS highly recommends are also very delicious, with chopped and scattered lamb, and the cumin flavor is very strong! The fish-flavored pork shreds are so-so, not recommended.

A Chinese restaurant right on the banks of the Spree River, the decor is rather simple. It was a bit uncomfortable that the chairs didn't match the tables, and the armrests were scratched accordingly. I couldn't get close enough to the table. The food was quite good and, above all, plentiful, but a bit overpriced for my liking. The service had a somewhat robust charm, but was prompt. When we were there, the restrooms were being renovated and had limited use. Overall, it was okay, but nothing more.
