The food was tasty and good, but it was very EXPENSIVE, almost too EXPENSIVE if you're coming from far away. UNFORTUNATELY. OTHERWISE GOOD. I hope they get back to normal or improve a bit. The best options are the duck curry and hot and sour soup.

We walked in with great anticipation and left disappointed. We've been coming here every now and then for many years. The service was very good, but unfortunately the food was really bad. Tasteless, mushy rice, tough fried chicken, and canned fruit salad for dessert. It's a shame, I was really looking forward to a delicious meal, but it couldn't have been worse. I heard another guest mention their bad meal. I can't explain the many good reviews. What a shame!

The food was fantastic. We had a set menu for two, which consisted of three dishes, plus two glasses of wine and two beers, all for €54. Not fancy, old-school, and very well-kept! In conclusion, we'll be back!

It's always a bit like coming home. I first went to the restaurant with my parents in the 1980s. The menu has hardly changed and the food still tastes just as good today as it did back then. The waiters are always friendly and quick. The ambience is like a “classic” Chinese restaurant with lots of red, gold and wooden decorations. Time has stood still a bit here, but that's exactly what I think is beautiful and it gives the restaurant its own charm. I look forward to my next visit.

Unfortunately, my visit to Hee Lam Mun was a huge disappointment. Based on the description and prices, I was expecting an authentic, tasty meal, but unfortunately I was disappointed in almost every way. The food was far from authentic Asian cuisine. The dishes were extremely bland, lacking the typical spices and flavors that you would expect. Even simple basics like balanced seasoning seemed to be completely missing. Everything tasted kind of inconsequential, like you'd forgotten to use the right ingredients. It felt more like a poorly adapted version for European tastes. The sauce for one of my dishes was particularly disappointing, as it was more reminiscent of a diluted ready-made sauce than a homemade composition. Given the quality, the price was completely unreasonable. The portions weren't particularly large, and when you're paying that much, you at least expect a good taste. I would rate the food overall a 2/10 – edible but definitely not something I would order again. The only positive points were the friendly staff and the nice facility. The service was attentive and polite, and the ambience was quite pleasant. But unfortunately that alone isn't enough to make up for the poor quality of the food. Conclusion: If you are looking for really authentic, tasty Asian cuisine, you should look for an alternative. Here you pay primarily for the look of the restaurant, not for good food. Unfortunately no recommendation.

I don't want to give such an old-established shop a bad review, the owners are very nice, German pensioners like to visit the restaurant. We had crispy duck, baked chicken, fried rice with chicken and sour hot soup. Everything was good, the standard Berlin Chinese from before, only the duck was a bit tough and I wouldn't order it again.

With this in mind, a good old long-time friend took him to Grunewaldstrasse 23 in Berlin Steglitz and recommended him to the “Hee Lam Mun” restaurant today. In this very pleasant location (but be careful, there are 3 of Grunewaldstrasse in Berlin!!!) it has existed as a pearl, completely unknown to critics, for 35 years now. Probably (or thank God) not “gastronomically renovated” since around 1985, it is exactly the pearl and oasis of well-being that you only rarely find anymore. I've been eating at this restaurant for years, either on occasions like my birthday or simply because I really want to enjoy Chinese cuisine like I knew it from my childhood when the world was still in order. The Chinese restaurant Hee Lam Mun brings back this feeling to me; I sit in there and forget about the world outside for two hours. We particularly recommend the “Special Menu C” for three people or “Suki Yaki”, exactly as it should be and better. I could list every dish on the menu because I've never had anything that I didn't like. But these two are particularly memorable to me. The sour-spicy soup is also so delicious. As a drink, I can only recommend everyone to enjoy a jasmine tea after a meal. A big compliment to the entire team, please stay with us for many more years and don't change anything!

Das Ambiente bewegt sich im Rahmen dessen, was man von eine Restaurant mit chinesischer Küche erwartet. Der Reis erschien mir etwas salzarm, aber das Essen war schmackhaft und ehrlich.

The style of the restaurant is like cliche bad, but I love it. The crispy duck (super tender meat and the crispiest skin ever) was the best I've ever had and the wonton soup was really good. The staff was super friendly and very patient. We even got a table for 6 people without a reservation. The only drawback is the sparse selection of vegetarian dishes.

Sehr schöner Ort. Die Sauer Scharf Suppe wurde mir empfohlen und auch meine Vorredner haben Recht das diese ausgezeichnet ist. Aber auch die anderen Gerichte sind überzeugend. Wir gehen hier oft und gerne essen! Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, auf der Speisekarte ist für Jeden etwas zu finden. Empfangen wird mit einem kleinen Pflaumenwein, das Essen lässt nicht lang auf sich warten und schmeckt sehr gut. Die doppelt gebackene Cantonente, aber auch einige andere Entengerichte sind unsere Favoriten. Extra Wünsche werden unkompliziert umgesetzt. Es gibt Gerichte für größere Gruppen zum teilen für unschlagbare Preise. Die Einrichtung ist traditionell, urig und sehr gemütlich. Wir kommen weiterhin wieder!

Wir kommen gerne wieder! Waren heute wieder hier und es war genauso lecker wie bei den letzten beiden Besuchen. Es ist unser Lieblingsrestaurant. Man kehrt dort immer wieder ein, wie wir zum 3. Mal. Ein sehr zuvorkommender Service, gleich mit einem Willkommenstrunk. Die Karte gut sortiert und übersichtlich. Unter der Woche preiswerte Gerichte, aber auch sonst humane Preise. Wir fanden das Essen sehr gut abgeschmeckt, aber mein paniertes Schweinefleisch ist und bleibt die echte die Krönung. Super zart auf den Punkt gebacken, dazu schön fluffiger Reis und eine pikante Souce mit bissfestem Gemüse. Und Ente cross lecker und zart. Wir waren alle mehr als zufrieden und kehren gerne wieder ein.

Schöner Ort und ein sehr guter freundlicher Service. Sauer Scharf Suppe war sehr lecker. Die Teller wurden heiss gebracht und es gab eine Wärmeplatte dazu. Die Ente war sehr lecker und knusprig. Pflaumenwein als Starter und zur Rechnung umsonst, sehr gut. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder.

Está muy bien. Llevaba tiempo queriendo venir a probar este restaurante. Apareció en un ranking de los mejores restaurantes chinos de Alemania hace un par de años. El menú del día incluye sopa de entrante y macedonia de frutas de postre. 13,20€. La bebida aún tiene precios de antes de pandemia. La sopa de pollo ha sido una sorpresa, con muchos trozos de pollo, fideos y setas. Buenísima! Pedí pato de plato principal y creo que no lo he comido mejor en ningún otro sitio. Crujiente por fuera y bien jugoso y tierno por dentro. Magnífico. El local es amplio y está muy limpio, sin olores raros, con doble capa de manteles en las mesas y con buen espacio entre mesas. El personal es bueno, rápido, amable y hasta servicial. Me invitaron a un chupito para calentar motores. Los servicios masculinos están limpios y sin olores. No suele ser lo común. Su puntuación en Google maps es baja para lo buenos que son. Volveré seguro. Hasta pronto!

Das Restaurant ist dunkel gehalten und rundum im chinesischen Stil geschmückt und getäfelt. Es versprüht einen einerseits altbackenen, aber andererseits auch gemütlichen und nostalgischen Charme. Der Service war toll: der Herr hat sich wunderbar um uns gekümmert, war sehr freundlich und stets zur Stelle. Die Wartezeit war angemessen. Das Essen selbst war zwar gut zubereitet (wenn auch etwas ungesalzen für meinen Geschmack), die angebotenen Gerichte sind denen anderer, "generischer" Asiaten aber sehr ähnlich. Ich hatte etwas Anderes erwartet. Die sehr große Karte fand ich etwas erschlagend. Schade ist, dass es nur sehr wenig Auswahl für Vegetarier gibt. Diese besteht aus einem Gericht, einigen kleinen Beilagen und Eierreis/Bratnudeln, die mit Gemüse oder Tofu zubereitet werden können. Insgesamt hatten wir dort aber einen schönen Abend.

vor einiger Zeit im Jahre 2011 beziehungsweise 2012 kehrte ich in dieses Restaurant ein, um nach anstrengenden Stunden der Lernzeit hier mein Abendmahl zu genießen. Dies geschah so Ausbildungszeit in der nah gelegenen Johann-August-Zeune-Schule für blinde Und Berufsfachschule Dr. Silex ich wurde hier sehr freundlich empfangen und auch das Essen, welches ich hier gegessen habe, schmeckte hervorragend und war von guter Qualität und Güte, auch mit einigen Mit Ausbildung, die das gleiche sagten. Ich war lange nicht hier gewesen, aber durch einen Zufallsbeitrag von Galileo, in dem auch ihr Restaurant erwähnt wurde, haben sie sich wieder bei mir in Erinnerung gerufen. Das war der Beitrag, wo es um die Echtheit von China Restaurants geht und welche Gerichte der deutschen Küche angepasst sind. vielleicht werde ich ihr Restaurant irgendwann mal wieder aufsuchen und mich erneut von der leckeren Küche dieses Lokals begeistern lassen

Excellent! Nicht grundlos gilt dieses Restaurant als "Bestes China-Restaurant" in Steglitz-Zehlendorf. Diskret und mit ausgesuchter Höflichkeit, die die sechs Höflichkeitsstufen dieser Kultur erahnen lassen... wurden wir ausgezeichnet bedient und beraten. Die ausgezeichnet arrangierten Essen waren "auf den Punkt", die Getränke exakt temperiert und man fühlte sich nicht als Gast. Es war ein schönes Essen mit Familie an einem perfekten gastlichen Ort, DANKE dafür, großen Dank🙏 Es kann etwas schwer sein, einen Pkw-Parkplatz zu finden. Habe mich zurück versetzt gefühlt in die 90ziger. Das Ambiente ist in der Zeit stehen geblieben, die Karte wohl auch, als auch das Essen. Es ist nicht schlecht, aber haut mich auch nicht vom Hocker. Haben draußen gesessen. Das Licht von der Reklame taucht alles in ein besonderes Licht. Der Service war ausgezeichnet.

Sind vor Ort vorbeigefahren und an der Tür steht, dass der Betrieb einen Monat lang in den Betriebsferien ist. Bei google wird es die ganze Zeit als geöffnet angezeigt, obwohl es geschlossen ist. Unternehmer können auch vorübergehende Abwesenheiten bei google Business einstellen. Ansonsten opfern Gäste Zeit und Benzin, um dann vor verschlossenen Türen zu stehen.

Essen ganz ok, bis auf den deutschen Tüten Reis. Service wie im Imbiss, nasse Tische und Stühle durften wir mit einer benutzen Tischdecke selbst trocken machen.

Wir waren am 28.08.2022 zum ersten Mal hier, weil unser Stammrestaurant nicht mehr existiert. Die Einrichtung ist klassisch mit Holzdecke und vielen asiatischen Elementen. Tische und Stühle stehen ausreichend auseinander. Die Bedienung ist freundlich, höflich und aufmerksam, aber ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Die Portionsgröße der Speisen ist gut. Die gewählten Ente kross (Shanghai Ente und Hongkong Ente mit Austernsoße) waren wirklich kross. Das chinesische Gemüse war für meinen Geschmack etwas zu weich. Die Austernsoße und das Gemüse waren zu salzig. Dazu gab es lockeren Reis, keinen klebrigen Reis, wie wir es von unserem ehemaligen Restaurant kennen und lieben gelernt hatten. Ich möchte das aber nicht als Mangel bezeichnen. Der Unterschied zwischen den beiden Gerichten ist nur die zusätzliche Austernsoße. Vor der Bestellung gab es einen Willkommenstrunk: ein kleines Glas Pflaumenwein. Fazit: wir werden irgendwann noch einmal wiederkommen.

Top gepflegtes Restaurant, super nette Mitarbeiter und Chefin. Man ist immer herzlich willkommen, auch kurz vor Feierabend! Wertschätzung und Gastfreundschaft werden hier GROSSGESCHRIEBEN!!! Ente kross ist zu empfehlen - ist immer kross, nicht trocken😋😋

Also, das China Restaurant ist echt klasse! Die Mitarbeiter und Chefin sind super nett und zuvorkommend, was das Essen zu einem wirklich angenehmen Erlebnis macht. Und das Essen selbst ist auch einfach nur lecker - die verschiedenen Gerichte sind alle super frisch und schmecken einfach fantastisch. Besonders toll finde ich, dass die Portionen echt großzügig bemessen sind, und das alles zu einem echt fairen Preis. Ich war schon oft hier essen und wurde nie enttäuscht. Wer auf der Suche nach einem tollen China Restaurant mit freundlichem Personal und leckerem Essen ist, sollte hier unbedingt vorbeischauen!

Seit Jahrzehnten bietet das HeeLamMun eine konstante Qualität von chinesischem Essen. Das Personal ist nett und freundlich, sehr zuvorkommend. Viele Stammgäste, parken auf dem Hof nach Möglichkeit. ToGo geht rasant schnell. Vorn an der Straße kann man Mittags gut in der Sonne verbringen. Die Karte bietet eine große Auswahl von Mittagsmenüs. Ich glaube es waren 12 mit Suppe - Hauptgericht und Nachtisch. Die Menüs gibts von 12 - 15:30 Uhr? Die Speisekarte ist recht umfangreich und auch online einzusehen. Das Ambiente und die Einrichtung sind leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Vielleicht haben die Betreiber dazu schon Ideen im Kopf. Ich komme auf alle Fälle wieder!

Traditionelles Asia-Restaurant in Familienbesitz mit schönem Ambiente. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut und die Portionen sind so groß, daß wir uns immer die Reste einpacken lassen. Die Bedienung ist zurückhaltend und schnell. Alles in allem: unser Lieblings-Asia-Restaurant.
