The food was delicious. It arrived quickly, and the service was excellent. A fantastic selection of vegan dishes, too. I'd be happy to go back.

Hello S-lovers! Welcome to Indochine in Mannheim. A short walk from the Planken (street), I was greeted by a friendly team in the prime location. The rustic interior with stool seating is primarily designed for 2-4 people. The fresh cuisine is presented with an original menu. I was briefly surprised when ordering. When asked, the employee shook her head and disappeared. The reason, as it later turned out, was that she didn't speak German and only understood the names of the drinks and dishes. The food arrived quickly, even before all the drinks had reached the table. Tasty and well-presented, the portions were appropriate and varied. My recommendation: spring rolls with whole chicken (no minced meat) Enjoy your meal

A really cute place. Lovingly decorated. Centrally located and easily accessible. The food and drinks were very good and freshly prepared. The house sodas were delicious. The prices are absolutely reasonable and quite reasonable for what you get.

What a place and what a meal 😍. We were already impressed by the place as we walked by. It was busy, with a great location and view. We just popped in and luckily got a nice seat. The menu and description of the food were exceptional and piqued our interest. We were not disappointed in the slightest. Beautifully prepared and presented. And the taste was amazing. What fantastic food. Sorry, we were so overwhelmed that we tasted it before taking this photo. Everything was absolutely fantastic, and I hope I get the chance to come back again. Starter and main course were brought to the table together. The main course was brought back warmed in the microwave after 20 minutes.

This restaurant is one of my absolute favorites in the city. The food is always fresh, the presentation is perfect, and the location is perfect. I love sitting on the terrace right in the heart of the city—a little feast for the soul every time I visit.

Very aromatic, delicious food, very friendly and prompt service, a view of the water tower next door and an idyllic fountain on the other side—what more could you want? Only the heavy city traffic somewhat detracts from the seating experience in the beer garden… But all in all, absolutely worth 5 stars…

Memoirs of Indochine The Indochine Restaurant, seen from the water tower, is located at the beginning of the pedestrian zone. Is an Indochine restaurant with predominantly Vietnamese and Laotian cuisine. This cuisine is considered very healthy and fresh. The food there is very good and very tasty, I tried a lot of things there but there was nothing that didn't taste good. Everything TOP..... The beer.... Lao Beer Saigon Beer Both very good The decor is authentic, with pictures as a reminder of the old days. There are enough parking garages nearby and there is a stop and a train station just a few meters away. The staff is friendly. We always like to come back. Greetings Alexander

My first visit to Mémoires d'Indochine was truly pleasantly surprised! The flavors were wonderfully balanced—fresh, light, and yet very flavorful. Everything was super freshly prepared, and the food was incredibly delicious and authentic. The ambiance was pleasantly tranquil, and the service was quick and friendly. I definitely recommend the restaurant and would gladly return!

The food is very authentic and made with fresh ingredients. It's not your typical Asian restaurant with a European twist. The staff is very friendly. The whole concept is just right. The only downside is that it's now on the main street near the water tower, and some of the seating is outside, right on the street.

We had a wonderful evening at Mémoires d'Indochine! The food was incredibly delicious, served very quickly, and the service was very friendly. We sat outside, which was quite noisy due to its proximity to the street, but that's not the restaurant's fault 😉 I highly recommend it!

If I could, I would give it 100 stars! How can food be so incredibly tasty, aromatic and easy to digest at the same time!? I have rarely eaten so exorbitantly well! The lemonades are also more than recommended!

A delicious mango curry in an impressive setting. Here you can dine with a direct view of the Mannheim water tower. The food is, as usual, good and beautifully prepared. The service is very friendly and accommodating. Anyone who comes here is definitely doing everything right.

A restaurant with the best service and a beautiful wooden interior. The paper on the menu - very original in a wooden frame - could be renewed by the team in the near future (slightly worn). The food tastes exceptionally good and is served in wonderful dishes. Be sure to try dessert too. The Md'I restaurant is part of every visit to Mannheim. Congratulations to the whole team on this beautiful place and the wonderfully prepared food.

Great restaurant in a good location in the center of Mannheim. The service was friendly and quick. The lychee strawberry soda is super refreshing and not too sweet, really tasty. The selection of food is large and everything sounds delicious. It's difficult to decide. I got the roast beef, which was just perfect. Everything was great and highly recommended :)

Great restaurant, the quality of the food is great. We were impressed with the taste and we will definitely be back. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant, music not too loud. There are also parking options in the area.

The ambience was okay but a bit uncomfortable, unfortunately we had to wait a bit long for the menus and the service even though it wasn't too busy. I once had the NemHanoi (filled spring rolls 3 srück) as a starter. The taste was perfect and I recommend it. As a main course, PadLao (flat rice noodles with strips of beef and vegetables and dark sauce) tastes wonderful and highly recommended, but for me personally the portion was a bit too small and not enough beef for the price, hence the star deduction. But overall I can highly recommend it.

A small, relaxed Vietnamese restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The food is fresh, tasty and authentic, and the price-performance ratio is really great. The only small point of criticism: the chairs have no backrest, which somewhat affects the seating comfort. Still a great place for Vietnamese specialties.

We went here for dinner this week because of the many positive reviews. The restaurant was very busy on Friday evening. We had reserved online in advance. Our 2 small tables were right behind the entrance. A table wobbled quite a bit. At a table next door I saw that there were already folded paper towels under the table leg. This table was probably shaking too. The furniture is getting old and the small, hard wooden stools are not comfortable in the long term. The coat rack was full. We placed our jackets on top of each other over a free stool at our table. The food was okay, rather below average. Have eaten better. The cucumbers on my plate were already dried/shriveled and no longer crunchy and juicy. The chicken tasted very watery. The little bit of peanut sauce was just enough for one of the two meat skewers. The drink was a joke. We ordered Lychee strawberry soda. It tasted like mineral water with a dash of lychee flavor. There was probably a drop of red food coloring for the strawberry. At €4.50 it was a very expensive mineral water. The highlight of our visit was the very dirty and disgusting sanitary facilities. The trash cans were overflowing. Used hygiene products were simply lying in the corner of the trash can. There was (used?!) toilet paper on the floor. The toilet flush cover was missing in the men's toilets. The floor was wet and sticky. There was no toilet paper for the time being. It was only refilled by staff after a complaint from another guest. The black toilet was covered with a whitish film of grease. It's lucky I didn't go in there until after dinner, otherwise I would have lost my appetite straight away. All in all, we don't understand the many positive reviews and the hype. Mannheim has much better restaurants to offer.

Food really good. Unfortunately, cold drinks were consistently lukewarm and the espresso was more like filter coffee.

Unfortunately the tables for two are very small. Combined with the cube seats, it is a rather uncomfortable experience, especially for older guests. Service was okay, unfortunately my request for "spicy" when ordering was not implemented.

The online booking worked very well. The name of the restaurant and the menu were promising. The atmosphere has nice ideas, but the seating is still quite cramped and uncomfortable. The service wasn't very attentive. The food sounded great on the menu, but the dish wasn't particularly tasty. The accompanying salad was very tasty. The neighbors at the table thought their soups were good. The menu offers numerous vegetarian dishes. The restaurant is in the center of Mannheim and easily accessible. Parking garages are nearby.

The first visit to the restaurant completely convinced us to visit the restaurant more often. The furnishings are a bit simple but you still feel comfortable. The service staff are very friendly and attentive. The menu is sufficient with various dishes and the food is very well described. Everything from the starter to the main courses to the dessert was sufficiently portioned and very tasty. The restaurant is easy to reach and there are plenty of parking garages nearby. The price-performance ratio is good for me. We are already looking forward to the next time

I've eaten there three times now and have always had very good experiences. Last time, however, the mango chicken curry was pretty bland. However, many of the other dishes on the menu are really sophisticated and unusual and a pleasant change from the Asian monotony that you are usually served. The homemade lemonades are also really great. The service is friendly and quick. The price-performance ratio is right. A good place if you're still hungry after shopping in the squares...

A very nice shop with delicious food. The only negative points are the portion sizes and the ambience. Because there are almost only stools, you don't want to linger that long in the first place. When we visited, the tables were relatively crowded and it was very loud.

Starter: Summer rolls (we often make them ourselves and were a little disappointed as we had imagined them to be more "traditional", but the tamarind sauce is great) Main course: Laotian-style diced duck with sticky rice and spicy tomato sauce and grilled chicken thigh, removed from the bone with lime chili sauce on a bed of glass noodles and kolrabi salad: Excellent, especially the "duck salad" but also the chicken. Anything that could be criticized in terms of cuisine would be complaining at the highest level, especially at this price. Dessert: Sticky rice with mango and coconut Also great, interesting with dark wild rice. Nice location, attentive service, only the seating is simple wooden stools, but no problem with a jacket on. Homemade lemonades are great, otherwise an average selection of drinks. All in all, excellent value for money, really, really tasty food, clear recommendation

Nice restaurant with delicious food. Not much going on on Sundays at 5 p.m. The food was beautifully presented. The price is slightly higher for a nice view of the water tower. I wouldn't call the restaurant romantic because it's on a large street.

Service rated with 1 star because a lady (German) from the service treated us so badly and cheekily lied to us With the statement that pho soup cannot be ordered outside the house because they don't have any materials for it, we accepted it and asked if we could bring a Tupperware container with us and the cook could then fill it in there. Your statement “we won’t do that have a nice day” The next day we went back for lunch and asked another service person and it wasn't a problem... The lady should learn a lot about how to deal with guests.

I love the food, the view (of the water tower), the friendliness of the employees and I'll definitely come back. Something was misunderstood when ordering and we accidentally got a different dish but that was corrected very quickly. So we were completely satisfied!
